They are constantly losing something or delivering to the wrong address. And the. Catch an attitude because they can’t find anything and we should just wait. I was calm the first two times but now it’s getting ridiculous
The front area is very helpful and most go beyond to help out. I am there almost everyday to drop mail. The machine inside is very helpful if there is a line and also to scan for just drop offs. Sometime hold mail works, and sometime not. Overall one of the most helpful, friendly USPS offices.
Postman didnt close my mailbox all the way before locking the boxes and in the process my 200 dollar barrel for my pistol got stolen. When I tried talking to the lady at the post office she was very rude was not listening or helping and then just hung up on me.
They’ve lost my package twice and haven’t done anything about it I’ve called I’ve gone up there And nothing haven’t gotten a refund on either package and still have gotten no help at all.

This 1 star review is specifically for the Carriers the nice ladies that work at the front deserve 5 stars, Now with that being said the Carries signed off 2 of my packages as being delivered when they actually never delivered them to my mailbox. The 1st one for me was my pass port in which after I received an email saying it was delivered and went to check my mailbox and it was not there...when I showed up to this office the nice women at the front told me that they spoke to the carrier and that the carrier was bringing it back there that day and I had to wait 40 minutes until they found it and today 1-30-2020 they did the exact same thing with my package but only this time the carrier that does my route says they never seen that package today but it was marked as delivered so they asked me to wait til the next day to see if it turns up, I am beyond frustrated with these careless carriers with customers packages... IF YALL DO NOT DELIVER THE PACKAGES ON THAT DAY STOP MARKING THEM DELIVERED!!!
STAY FAR AWAY. If you think youll get your package delivered by these people youre WRONG. If you think youll be able to talk to a REAL PERSON about not getting your package YOURE WRONG. Only use this place if you NEVER want to see your package. Good luck.
I was just in this PO. One of the clerks had her mask hanging off her nose. As I was standing there she started sneezing. Unacceptable.
The US Post Office in Lake Jackson is one of the more efficient and professional operations I have experienced--compared to both other post offices and the non-government parcel carriers. The lines move fast, and the waits are not bad at the times I go. The employees are professional, helpful, and competent.As for mail and parcel delivery at home, the experience has been mostly positive. I think Im receiving all of my mail, and I dont receive others mail. If you live in an apartment, simple things like receiving a package become more complex when apartment management is the middleman involved in the process.I cant speak to passport service (last time I got mine at another post office--I had to make an appointment there), going during lunchtime, or calling the post office (didnt realize that was even something you could do), so my review is not relevant to those items.The biggest complaint I have, which is the case at all of the smaller town facilities, is that last drop off time is 5pm. Drop off deadlines of 7pm, 9pm, or even later, which I had become accustomed to in larger cities, can be very helpful at those times when you are running a bit behind on a deadline.
Im very surprised looking at the poor ratings. Ive always had a good experience here and the staff has always been nice. I normally dont leave reviews but I feel the 2.2 stars average is not reflective of the average experience as Im there at least two times a week and again, have always had a pleasant time (as much as can be expected on an errand).
Supposed to have a package come in, says it was delivered Friday Aug 14 2020 at 4:44pm & nothing. Here we are August 20 & I just left the post office, they took my name & number 2 days ago, said they would call & nothing. Basically the lady told me to continue to wait, but I find it ridiculous that a package can make it all the way from the East coast to this post office but yet I dont have it........ F this place
Went there last Friday to mail something important to Chicago. The lady that talked to me was great, she make sure I got the perfect service! I told her I wanted my package to be in Chicago asap and she offered me exactly what I needed with my tracking number and insurance covered. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes and had a great experience.
I just want to know where the heck my packages are. I get information saying theyve been delivered but theres nothing in my box. and then the employees have no clue where it is... What the heck is going on. Update a year later and i still continue not receiving packages. Canceling my po box
I went for the third time today to get my passport, their hours for Passport are 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. I got to the Post office at 2:05 pm. the lady that does the Passports was RUDE as hell, told me she was not doing any more passports today because she was working with a family right now. I scheduled my afternoon patients accordingly to be there when during the hours I was told to be there. Those hours are also listed on the walls of the Post Office, I was told to be there in the morning so that this doesnt happen again. REALLY..... PUT HER IN SOME CUSTOMER SERVICE CLASSES. I can not stand rude people!
My family just moved into a new development in Clute (that is serviced by the Lake Jackson Post Office). We have had a problem not receiving some of our mail and have had several family members and friends inform us that our Christmas cards and mail have been returned to sender due to an insufficient address even though the address is correct. With Christmas gifts expected for delivery, I was really worried that they, too, would be returned to sender so I contacted the post office this morning and spoke to Jimmy Huff. Jimmy went above and beyond to assist us! Not only did he speak to our carrier and the sorters, but he also ensured that our packages were delivered today! My husband and I are so relieved and happy to have reached someone that truly cares about his job and helping others! A huge THANK YOU to Jimmy, our carrier, and the staff at the Lake Jackson Post Office!
This is like the 5th time in the last 4 months that theyve not only not delivered my package when they said they would, but theyve straight up lied to me about them getting it to me later that day. They wouldnt even look for it at the post office because my route is too big and there are too many packages to look through. If shipping to the Lake Jackson area I HIGHLY recommend using UPS, FEDEX, DHL, driving it yourself or someone with horse and buggy.
I went over lunch on a Tuesday. There was a short line, and it moved fast. Nothing particularly good or bad about this place. They have all the flat rate boxes next to a table, which was convenient.
So much hate here they have great people working in building itself.

I have only had great experiences here. They actually go above and beyond to make sure you get the right service for whatever you need. Problems with their system shouldnt be held against the people that work there.
It would be lovely if packages were delivered like they were supposed to be. What would be even more amazing is nor taking the phone off the hook so customers could actually call and get answers ffs that is beyond ridiculous.
If I could give 0 stars I would! Do NOT go here to get a passport if at all possible. Thomasine is the manager there and she was no help at all. She actually referred me to the Freeport location because she clearly did not want to help me with a passport at that time. I waited in line like everyone else and was asked to wait at the end of the counter for someone else to help me with my passport when I went to the available cashier (she was very nice). I waited 10 min or so to be told they were not doing passports today. I explained that I was there the day before and was told that I could get this done as long as I was there before 2:45 the next day. The cashier said she would get a manager (she was nice also). 10 min later I went to a clerk that was standing in the lobby and asked if she could check to see how long the manager would be because I had been waiting for quite some time and 7-8 people had already been helped and a few other employees had walked through with no offer to help. Finally after waiting for a total of about 20-25 min Thomasine came to the counter I was at (she was not real friendly, she almost seemed annoyed) and asked what I had and I explained that I had the paperwork filled out already and the proper documentation. She looked back at the long line in the lobby and said ok well we can help you but you are going to have to wait 15-20 min or you can go to Freeport. Clearly I should not have had to wait since I waited like everyone else in line (longer than everyone else in line)!! She went on to tell me that the policy is to get the line down in the lobby before they help anyone with a passport and I can go to Freeport because they dont have a line there. WOW I asked if she could write her name down for me and her response was no but you can! A customer in line made the comment if I were you I would just go to Freeport because they are much nicer and quicker there. I think its pretty bad when someone else hears a conversation I am having with a manager and also doesnt have nice things to say about the place. I see why the google reviews are not good for the LJ post office. I hate this because the lady helping the customers was nice but the manager is the one that makes the place unprofessional and unpleasant.
Avoid ordering USPS at all costs! They repeatedly deliver to the wrong locker. The supervisors excuse is that there are new mail employees delivering. But the next day and next they continue to misplace packages so this is on the supervisor for not training these employees. Im sorry but I lost all trust in USPS. And thank you for losing our Christmas presents USPS!
We come to do the passport, but they dont want to do it and fine all the reason to skip us, we have come 3 days and they always say that. And the whole reason is because of our race. They say we have to wait till we are the last customer but when some American lady come in, they do it for them right away. The way they treat us is not very nice either. This is the worst post office I ever come to

Incredibly rude. I called to ask if they could hold my package for pick up at the post office and youd think I stole the guys lunch. He was up in arms about it and told me hed only do it if I paid $45 because it was a big inconvenience for him.

I got to the post office at 2:15 stood in line and then was told at 2:45 they were not doing passports today because they are short handed and to try on Monday ??? I went back to the post office on Monday like they told me stood behind the sign that said passports and a employee was walking in between the two lines helping everyone and there was a employee right in front of me helping people the manager stuck her head out to look around and not one of them let me know they were not doing passports !!! A custermer that had opened the door for me that was five people in line in front of her said to me I don’t think they are doing passports today ??? So when she got up to the lady she asked her and the lady asked the man that was RIGHT in front of me !!! NO we don’t have anyone to do passports !!! Well I’m glad I didn’t stamd there for 45 minutes again doing left !!!!!? I went to Brazoria post office walked in the first person at the counter it took 15 minutes and I got my passport very helpful friendly I will always go to Brazoria post office !!! Never go to lake Jackson !!!!!!!

Poor quality service. they lost my priority mail parcel, which was insured, had tracking and signature confirmation. called them over 50 times today, every time it was a busy tone. wasted the whole day trying to contact them. no wonder usps is loosing money. i even called the 1 800 usps number and they just gave me a case number and did nothing. I will keep calling until they respond. i will also be submitting a complaint on the usps website.update: after finally calling them for another 18 times a lady finally picked up at 7:26pm, and told me to call back tomorrow, and call early. perfect, i will be wasting another day calling these idiots.

Extremely rude !! I received a text my package arrived at this location, asked if i could have my package, was unattended for a long time. Was told in a loud rudely manner Im not going thru the parcels just to look for your package. Are you kidding me !! This is ridiculous. Thats your job ! Awful customer service. Brought in a pink slip 3 times and they said they couldn’t find the letter. I get it a fourth time and when I try to come in no one answers the caller service what so ever. I waited for 30 mins and tried 10-15 times. No one.
