Awesome track that is always in great shape. Has risk/reward holes & plenty of trouble if youre not careful. Greens were not super fast, but rolled true. Great staff inside & out too! Definitely one of my favorites!

Took my boyfriend, and friend, to Wilderness Golf Course for his birthday. We all live in NW Houston, 1 hour drive to course. It was a GREAT TIME! Loved the beautiful surroundings. Would totally recommend! We definitely plan to go again.i

This is hands down the best public track in the Houston area and I’ve literally played every course in the city. Fairways, roughs, and greens were A+++ today. Mid tier country club status easy. Greens were unbelievable perfect today. No hops, speeds consistent across the course. Highly recommended!

What a fun course. The course was in great shape. Pace of play was certainly good as well. I just happened to leave my SW on a hole whoops.. The next day on my way back to Michigan I got a call they had my wedge ( I didnt known it was even missing yet). Staff graciously shipped my club to me. Great staff and a great course hope to be back someday.

Played Wilderness in the middle of June. Course was in great shape. Greens were terrific. Price was well worth it. People working there were as nice as could be. I drove there from Sugar Land and it was worth the hour drive. I haven’t played another public course within an hour of Sugar Land that’s as nice as Wilderness. Will play again.

As always course was in great shape, love the rolling hilly setup here it is a very picturesque golf course with a great range and practice bunkers and practice green. I wish they would add coolers to the golf carts, the plastic bags are kind of cheesy but that could be temporary due to COVID-19 restrictions. Probably one the best burgers that i have had at a golf course, fresh and made to order. Definitely worth the 55 minute drive from Pearland to play this gem of a course.

A hidden gem. An unexpectedly superior golf experience. Extra points for the natural beaty... the flowers, trees, hummingbirds, and wildlife make it lovely way to spend the day if you are a ride along wife. Consistently rated one of golf course in Texas as well as in the top 50 courses in the nation! Again, a treasure here in brazoria county.

Was in town and heard about the course from a buddy in Houston. Was super happy with the condition and layout. Definitely a must play. Enjoyed it more than Golf Club of Houston and of course way less expensive!

A hidden gem! I had read about The Wilderness and every review was telling me to go play it. So, I got a foursome together and made the under-an-hour road trip from Houston. Well worth the trip. The course is an awesome layout - very challenging, yet not quirky and unfair. Course conditions are immaculate. Well maintained and very scenic. The greens are highly contoured so make sure to put your approach shots in the right spot. Cool, rustic-style clubhouse and very friendly staff & marshals. We will try and make the trip down to The Wilderness several times a year now.

We played 18 holes today, and I was very impressed. A quick 50 minute drive from Houston. Both the fairways and greens are in exceptional condition. The course offers opportunities for all types of golfers based on your choice at the tee box. The staff were helpful and friendly. I booked online and paid upon arrival. I highly recommend and will return soon.

Golfed here on Sunday with 3 friends of mine. Course was in great condition and we had a blast. Took advantage of the $79 playcation. We got in 45 holes, breakfast, lunch, a lot of bad shots, mostly by me, and a lot of great shots by the others. Pace of play was not bad in the morning, but was not an issue at all in the afternoon and evening. We will be back! Thank you to The Wilderness staff for taking great care of us. Matter of fact the marshall went and got us some liquid refreshments after the cart girl had already left for the day. Great day!

Very nice course. Cart girl ran all day on a Wednesday. Nice lush fairways and greens. Its a must play course. True soft sand bunkers. Well worth a little cruise to play.

A fantastic day of golf. 27 holes on an interesting track. The course has some good challenge to it and is well maintained. The people at the course we awesome. Very friendly. Recommended and worth the drive.

We played The Wilderness today for the first time. The course layout is superb and course condition is excellent. In our opinion it is the best value in Galveston/Brazoria Counties.

Fun layout and challenging. Front 9 is a good warmup for the back 9, as everything gets tighter and more scenic. It actually gets a little shorter on the back 9, so they throw you a bone there.The greens are complex and challenging. They always roll true and are fast, but be ready to three putt a few times because of the complexity of the humps on the greens and the larger influencing mounds around the greens.The par-5s are my favorites. Pack a lunch for playing holes 9 and 18, they are difficult and long.Ill return early and often to play this hidden gem. It is worth the drive.

I play here a lot, but they sent me a birthday round and it says “bring a friend out and your round is on us!” Well, the way it is worded I figured I could bring a friend and our round was comp because of the birthday voucher. I used it last year like that! Well, not this year! Very misleading letter! Figured they just fix it and let us go on our merry way! So, needless to say we had to pay for one. Very disappointed in the customer service and how they handled it!

Good course, I love it. I played with my collegue on Sunday morning, but not so crowded and well maintained.Most of greens are very wide(big), so sometimes it is difficut to stroke the putts due to their pin positions (location).
