I used VOIPo at my home for roughly 7 years and the service itself is very good. My wife liked having a home phone. We very recently came up for renewal which would have been $185.00 for a year of service. They have specials that I will talk about. My wife had just been furloughed from her job (because of covid), and I may only have a job for another month or so, so we decided not to renew. What I like about the service. It just works. It does everything they say it will. We didnt use all the features, but the few we did, worked great. It was nice having a dedicated home phone. What I didnt like. All the emails, all the time. Constant emails about renewing. So. Many. Emails. When I cancelled I created a ticket through my account and I told them I would contact them to restart the service at a later date because it was so good, and was told I had to use a link to cancel (I did). Even after that, they were still trying to charge my credit card and sent me past due emails. Then the return equipment emails start, with a hint of collection agency. I can see they want the box back, but I had to pack it up and take it to the post office, send it across the country. Anyway, they received it, sent me an email saying so, and sent me another email about my pending disconnection and bill.So to summarize:Great service, does what it says for a good price, but be prepared for a lot of emails, and not too difficult to cancel service, but not smooth either. Due to the handing of the service cancellation, we wont be return customers if we decide to have a home phone line again.
Its so nice to have a phone service that I can trust to not only provide a top service but who also cares about the user. I cant imagine being with any other provider. You can trust them! The sounds is clear, the cost is soooo affordable and it was very easy to get started. I dont leave reviews very often, but I had to here! :)
I have been using VOIPO for several months now and all I can say is that they are amazing. I was always able to speak to my contacts clearly. There are tons of great features included that I can benefit from and they have great customer service that helps me in case I have issues. I would always recommend this company for phone services category.
This business went through a really harsh server change and got caught with their pants down a couple months ago. When you dont have to think about and you dont have to contact your phone service, thats the one you want to have in your corner. Sometimes when people ask me, I cant even remember the name of the company. To me, thats a good sign. At least the owner is a fighter when the sh*t hits the fan and so far, things have been working like they should be. I might get another two years out of them this way.
Poor customer service. Normal response times of 2-3 days. Equipment regularly needs to be rebooted. Upon cancellation you lose all of your agreed time and it is immediate. Can change any policy at any time per the website with no notice. Will continue to charge cc after cancellation. Bad deal any way you look at it.
Update: 6/7/21 - Service still doesnt work. our business phones are again down. happens every few weeks. Cant make calls in or out. Made the mistake of re-selling the service, now I have a few IT clients that call me too when VOIPO cannot keep their service running. ----- Youd be better off building your own server and hiring a teenager to operate it.
Cheap, reliable internet with fantastic customer service. I dont think I ever spent more than 5 minutes on the phone with them. It might take a little tweaking to set the dish up right, but once it is working it is great.
If I could give NO stars I would. We use Voipo for our business lines, and have had no working lines now since Saturday. Contacted customer service MULTIPLE TIMES via email since the number does now work . Absolutely nothing is being done and each day we are losing more business.
Phone down for 5 days, no way to contact them as they seem to have blocked all phone calls and live chat, and wont respond to email. Im getting a new service.STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE.
I have used the Cloud VoIP service for three months now and it seems to be perfect! I still cant believe the price! I keep waiting for them to tell me it is a mistake. And it was super easy to configure on my system.
Of all VOIP tested i am more than content with the service and particularly outstanding customer service. Embedded features will continue to give the tech savvy more choices of what to explore.
Today is the eighth solid day of no service. No incoming outgoing or even forwarding. After a botched data center move, voipo has effectively been shut down and doesnt work. I have started the process to move to another service but porting numbers can take time so in the meantime my business is dead in the water. Avoid at all costs.
I had a land line service and the prices seemed ridiculous. The device was easy to set up. Ive been with VoIPo for 8 months now and have not had any issues, and the price of the service is very economical. I can reconnect my phone line from my home to office and be up and running within minutes. I have recommended this service to my friends and family, and they too have been satisfied. They offer a 30 day refund, so i truly recommend people to try this service.
Im running a hotel in Canada and currently trying their hosted PBX system (Beta test), and it is working like a charm. Im glad that I found this company! No other providers can beat their price, and their support team is so far the best Ive ever experienced. Timothy is the owner and really eager to help each customer. I even feel lucky that I found a company like Voipo. Thank you guys.
Avoid this company. A horrible experience. Not recommended. I have several accounts with VOIPO that I plan to move once the return to business. My phone services - both business and personal - (and countless other peoples) has been non operational for at least 4 days due to a botched data center move. I emailed and called customer service, they do not exist. This company is a disaster and there is no amount of credit they can offer to compensate for the damage their company has caused.
The quality is terrible and it doesnt work half the time. The CEO keeps spamming asking for donations and the customer service is terrible. I requested them to cancel my service and they tried to charge me for renewal the next day. Stay away from these scammers!
Called 6 times today and cannot get through. They are hanging up on calls now. Our forwarding business line we have had for 25 years and those calls are not coming through. I read on someone elses review they have a bothched data Center move? Does anyone have any more info? They are not answering e-mails either?
Ive been with Voipo for more than a few years now. Ive had good service and no billing issues. I usually buy 2 years at a time when a deal is available so only pay a bill every couple of years. They continue to add functionality and options to the web portal. Pretty satisfied.
A great deal if you can get the currently offered $149 for 2 years deal. Ive been a customer for 4 years. This year, I didnt renew early and my price for the next year was $185 (for one year). When I called customer service, they didnt upsell me or ask my why I was cancelling. They must have more customers than they need or want ; )
Unreliable. numerous callers said that they had been trying to reach us for days--all they got was a busy signal. we had no idea that our phone was out until callers who couldnt reach us told us so (in person). numerous system failures. poor technical support. needless to say, we got rid of voipo.
Disaster, avoid, no phone service 14 days, no phone service cyber monday, no website portal, no support. My business had not had phone service in over 14 days. I have lost over $10000 in sales. The company will not respond to when this will be resolved. The owner should resign, I look forward to porting my number away from this horrible company.
Ive been using voipos service since they first started. Theyve come a long way. Im a very satisfied customer they work hard to keep their customers happy and I am so glad I never switched to anyone else. I wont be going to anyone other than Voipo for phone service as long as their around. You wont be disappointed.
Ive had service with voipo for a couple of years now and am generally satisfied with the service. There are some glitches now and then and I have to reset the grandstream device to clear it up, but considering how much Im saving over regular phone service, its worth it. When Ive had problems, customer service has been very helpful, going as far as to remotely access my computer (with permission of course) to configure my router for better service.Since Im a snowbird spending winters in Florida and summers elsewhere, its very convenient to be able to take my phone numbers with me - I just pack up the little device and it works in either place. Plus, while its disconnected all calls forward to my cell phone automatically. And when someone leaves a voicemail message on the home phone I get a notification on my cell phone so I can listen right away if I want.
Been using their service for over 3 years and have been a happy customer ever since.
Perfect, I cant believe the price, and its super easy to configure!
I use the reseller portal. Do not use these guys. The support is beyond horrible. I have a system completely down and they just ask basic config questions that have been in place for months and haven;t changed. is the config entered correctly...yes it is.... it hasnt changed. Well are side is fine... goodbye. no event logs, no deeper dive into issue. Find a voip cloud provider that provides support. these guys dont.
Ive used this company for 5+ years never any issues. If I have a question or need support for the website, they always provide fast and excellent tech support.
I used VOIPO for about 8 months. It started out okay and we even purchased a separate fax line. But, after many issues with phone line not working, unable to call out or receiving calls, dropping calls, we decided to terminate services.Be careful of the fine print, here is my discussing with online chat:06:57 Your Question: Refund Check06:57 Please wait and one of our operators will be with you shortly.07:00 You are now chatting with VOIPo07:00 VOIPo: Hello, thank you for contacting VOIPo07:00 Ralph: Hello, my account was 631-82x-xxxx07:01 VOIPo: How can I help you today?07:01 Ralph: I received a refund check for 52.25 and wanted to know how this was calculated?07:03 VOIPo: Looking at the notes it says, you were billed for 8 months and received a $41 refund. Your Fax account was active 5 months and a$11.25 refund was due for that.07:04 Ralph: I paid $185 for the 631-82x-xxxx and $36.00 for the 631-24x-xxxx07:06 VOIPo: Correct, and after usage, these are the refunds due for both.07:08 Ralph: okay, if I used the 63182xxxxx for about 8 months (16 months remaining $123.33 refund), plus the 63124xxxxx is used for 5months (7 months remaining $21.00 refund) Total refund $144.3307:11 VOIPo: Thats not how its calculated. We calculate based upon the monthly rate, which is $15 + $3 taxes and fees = $18. So $18 x 8 months is$144 subtracted from $185 (what you paid) = $41 refund.07:12 Ralph: What is the $15?07:12 VOIPo: The monthly rate for our service.07:12 Ralph: but I did not pay that07:12 VOIPo: We do not calculate based on the two year promo rate.07:12 Ralph: thats bs!!!07:13 VOIPo: Im sorry sir, but I have sufficiently explained the refund process. Was there anything else I can help you with today?07:13 Ralph: Im glad I left your company.
Worst service of any VOIP company (reviewed by over 40 actual customers - not employees). Any problems, no matter how ridiculous, are always the fault of the customer. A few Examples: Not forwarding all of the calls (customer problem), Not recording call details of actual calls made (customer problem), Ringing and ringing with no indication that the phone number dialed may be a disconnected number (customer problem), Caller calling you and getting message that your number has been disconnected when it is working (customer problem), Telling VoiPo that some problems are their problem and should be fixed (CUSTOMER PROBLEM)
Best Voice over IP service provider I have dealt with!
Been using Voipo for my small business for 3-4 years. Excellent. No issues at all. Totally worth it. I transferred my phone and my fax numbers to VOIPO, and then have VOIPO forward calls to my mobile or take the voicemail. I set up voicemail to automatically pick up after hours (8pm - 8am) so that unexpected international business phone calls do not interrupt sleep. Fax works perfectly.
Very poor phone service. Terrible customer service. You can get much better service elsewhere.
Amazing, professional, and cost effective! By far the best in the market!
In February 2016, we decided to switch our secondary backup line to Voipo from our previous company of 5 years. Our first trouble started immediately with clumsy, lengthy, yet unreliable number-porting process. (I always assumed porting a number was a breeze!) The whole time I was genuinely worried that we might lose the number we used with 2 previous Voice over IP providers. Briefly, it took many days of DIY navigation without VOIPOs help after we signed for a 2 year contract. It was the first sign that VOIPO would NEVER be wrong. When time came we plugged in the adapter, we found one phone jack had dead silence, and the remaining jack had a high static noise. We assume Voipo must have blocked one and allowed the other to work, albeit the high noise level. Since this was a backup number, we simply tolerated the background static. Little did we know later on Voipo would blame us for breaking that first adapter, while it was defective upon its arrival. Fast forward two months later, one day in April 2016, we decided to make a call through this VOIPO, only to find the static was too high for intelligible conversation. After a few days of message exchanges and self troubleshooting based on their instructions, they reluctantly agreed to send us a new unit. The new unit had clear signals on both phone jacks! By then, we were aware how much convincing it would take for Voipo to take any action to help their customers. It left us a bad taste as if we were criminals scamming their company. We thought we had a relief now we finally had our usable phone back, just like what we always had in the past 9 years with 2 other providers! Fast-forward another 4 months, in August 2016, we happened to notice that there was no signal from the VOIPO line. We werent really sure when it occurred since its not our day-to-day phone. As an experienced DIYer by this point, I took a day off from work and started to troubleshoot myself. When I came to my conclusion about the culprit adapter, I realized that I had to asked for VOIPOs help. Of course, another long journey of convincing and agony which showcased how little Voipo thought of their customers. Each question asked was repeated a dozen times by different rep and support tech, who didnt bother spending a brief minute to read the written notes and the typed answers. Imagine each time I typed the same lengthy answers to address the inquiries from a tech or network engineer, and repeated again and again. After 5 hours on their ticket-messaging system, they sent me a suggestion of initiating an online help, in which they navigated my home computer and network environment remotely. Another 3 hours passed, they finally came to the same conclusion I had myself. At this point, Voipo put in words in effect said we were the one who messed up the system - you damaged it, you paid for it. All yours. They took zero blame. Really? In the almost past 10 years of time we never had similar experience with 2 previous providers. We have a rather new house with surge protection wired, temperature and humidity control all year round, with a designated area for the adapter where no interference was possible. Such physical set up worked well with previous companies. Its appalling that VOIPO, not for a second, considered it could be their fault. Rather than blaming us, why not sending us a quality product ? We lost hope on them and were willing to take a loss of money for a 2 years pre-paid contract. We switched to VOIPO for the low cost and the # of features but certainly regretted it, which at the end, not only cost us more money but the precious time spent and the efforts made. Hope this experience of our account will help you with more well rounded assessment. Dont simply go for the price and features alone! Hope you all have better luck than us!
Ive been an IP phone user/reseller since the 1990s. Packet8, Sunrocket, Teleblend... constant problems. For 4 years, I have had 6 VOIPO lines at several locations. 100% EXCELLENT SERVICE. We make many calls to/from Africa and Caribbean. Difficult with any service. VOIPO ROCKS !!! I actually LOVE calling Customer Service, just to tech chat. They really care and are VERY technical. Im about to renew my lines until 2021. Im an expert when it comes to VOIP and VOIPO is THE BEST !!!!! Jerry in New Hampshire/Bahamas/Addo, South Africa
Steady service and always the best customer support.
Horrible experience!! Never could get system to work and customer support is absolutely AWFUL (non-existent)!! Do NOT buy this system!
Terrible service!!! I had a miserable time trying to become a customer...they obviously are not willing to make an effort to help you become a NEW customer...I cannot imagine how they would treat me if I were an existing customer!!
System was down again.I took their Customer service rep (his name is Ray) 20 minutes on the phone to admit there is a major outage.Ray had no idea how long it will take to fix. When asked to talk to a supervisor he told me nobody is availableIm going to look for a different company.
Never received adapter now trying to charge me for another year of service that I never took advantage of.
Took to long
