My mom found Dan and wanted home to fix our fireplace hearth. He came over immediately and got the process started. It took about two and half weeks but the quality of the work looks amazing. He has great conversation and he is always in good spirits. In between him doing our hearth we had an issue with our water valve. He came back hours later and fixed the problem. If you want it done right, hire Dan.

We originally met Dan/DADS Construction when we were looking to add a bedroom and bathroom to our house. Due to unrelated issues, we did not move forward with the project. The thing that stuck in my mind was the degree of detail that Dan showed in his work and how he presented himself.Fast forward a number of years and our aging house was in need of a major outdoor “face lift” (rotting eves, patio covers, roof, paint, etc.) As we began the process of looking for someone to take on this task, I kept saying “We need to find someone like Dan”. I decided to reach out to DADS to see if he could recommend someone for this task, as this wasn’t his normal type of business – thought if he gave someone the thumbs up, they had to be good. After the initial site inspection, he said that he would like to take on this project himself. This was great news.As you can read in the prior reviews, Dan and DADS Construction are consummate professionals. It’s refreshing to work with a contractor who is on site when they say they’re going to be there and gives you plenty of notice when they are not. EVERY time they left for the day, the site was picked up, swept and without any scraps, nails, or anything lying around to be stepped on. There are no short cuts with DADS, everything in every corner, seen or unseen, is tended to with great detail. I only wish that the rest of our house was built with this philosophy!I had ACL reconstruction surgery the week before the job was to start. Dan and his son, Eric, were so kind and considerate during the months after and would always check in on me and offer to assist in anything that needed to be done (I would pull up after having grocery shopped and they would drop what they were doing and bring the bags into the house). We are in the process of a small job that has turned into a huge one! The original builder had electrical outside the house, covered with stucco, ceiling dry-wall did not meet, had 3 inches of a gap where they just used tape to cover it up. Previous owners put in French doors with a metal door frame over electrical on a roof that leaked!Dan of Dads construction has been the contractor you hope and pray ALL of them are. Very meticulous work, kind, explains everything very well, so that even if you have never done a project, you can make informed decisions. We consider ourselves blessed and fortunate to have chosen DADs Construction for our remodeling project that first began as a small master bathroom makeover and ended up as a house that Dan rebuilt correctly.Our house is many decades old and was never upgraded, maintained, or constructed well. We hired DAD’s to completely remodel our hall guest bathroom (taking the tub out and creating a walk-in shower), master bathroom, powder room, replace all windows and front door, re-pipe the entire house, add and upgrade recess lighting, paint interior, and add garage lighting. What a transformation! It’s amazing how you took the old kitchen with an 8’ ceiling and turned it into a stunning, beautifully designed new kitchen with cathedral ceilings – you are amazing and have such great ideas! The shaker cabinets with all the hidden accessories are gorgeous – and the custom staining that I wanted is perfect. I love how the LED undercabinet lights accent my glass backsplash. The tile “wood” floor that you installed throughout the house makes everything look so beautifully coordinated.The bedroom powder room came together so beautifully. The same style shaker cabinet with the same amazing staining is incredible. The space is so much better used with the design you came up with. I now have a place to store things. The full extension pull-out under the sink makes things so much easier! The coordinating countertop and glass backsplash brings it all together. The custom hall linin cabinet with pull out drawers is incredible and gives me lots of storage!

If you have ever thought of converting your bedrooms, kitchen, and bathrooms into something spectacular, it simpler than you may think – with DAD’s Construction.I contracted with DADs Construction to make my small, 8 foot ceiling bedrooms into something amazing. I’m an artist with an eye for detail and I wanted my own home gallery to display my work. I couldn’t figure out how to do what I wanted or even how to express what I was looking for. Dan has this talent for seeing the project completed and all the details to get there before he touches anything. His vision and ability to clearly communicate and then draw the pictures illustrating what’s in his head sets him so far apart from the competition, I honestly don’t think anyone else compares!Wow – He made cathedral ceilings without removing the roof and extended the front of the house! How he figured out where to place the 4” LED recess lights to exactly accent my art was incredible. He selected the wood floor species, its color and then custom stained solid oak baseboards to match perfectly. Dan even picked the wall and ceiling paint! The new and added windows are gorgeous and really make the rooms feel open and spacious.Rounding out these rooms are Casablanca ceiling fans with custom made plantation shutters and added electrical and cable.All this turned my ordinary bedrooms into the art gallery I dreamed about for years!On the outside, my neighbors keep telling me how beautiful and balanced the front and sides of the house look with the new and upgraded windows Dan recommended – I’m glad I took his advice! I get lots of comments on his stucco work outside. It’s so perfect and uniform people keep asking for his number – even other Contractors – can you believe that? His competitors want to hire him! It does not get any better than that!My kitchen was not “user friendly” and my bathrooms were wore out. Dan turned my master bathroom into an amazing full custom tiled walk-in shower with beautiful accents and solid wood cabinets that are elevated from the floor. The recess lighting is great! I love all the water as it rains down on me!!!My kitchen is spectacular. Dan moved some walls and raised the ceiling, creating an open “great room” that makes the whole house look and feel spacious. We hired Dad’s Constuction for an interior remodel of our home. The biggest concerns we had at the time was budget and completion of the project. On the advice of friends and contractor sources, we bid out the job to three different remodelers. Dad’s was one of the three. Dan took the time to go over everything with us, our wishes, our must haves, what we did or did not like, explained everything, itemized all the costs and what was entailed with the whole remodeling process.Things that set DAD’s Construction apart from everyone else:Dan is a genuine all around great guy, who is knowledgeable in the industry, friendly, honest, detailed oriented, and has integrity and a great sense of humor. His work is extremely high quality that will last. He made sure everything was done right, up to code and standards and went the extra mile. Everything was cleaned daily, seriously…he was on his hands and knees wiping down the plastic coverings to make sure there was no debris/dust left…he even cleaned the bathroom nightly before he left…….it was amazing.Dan made sure to communicate to us daily, either face-to-face or via email. He was always available for questions. Dan provided from the get-go, a schedule so we knew what to expect and when. His wife, Lori, was also always available by phone and email. Lori handled all the scheduling of appointments with the designer at Daltile so that the selection of our quartz vanity top was exactly what we wanted.Dan, Lori and two sons Adam and Eric were all wonderful to work with. Adam and Eric are hardworking, respectful, courteous young men who have the same work ethic as their Dad, Dan. Dan and Eric are quite the bakers….they surprised us on several occasions with some amazing chocolate truffles and chocolate cake….very yummy.We have two animals, a dog and a cat. We never had to worry that they were going to get out while work was being done.We can honestly say that Dan made the whole remodeling process pleasurable and stress free. He took care of our home as if it was his own…and made us feel like part of his family and we feel like he is part of ours. We will miss his chats, emails and cute notes on the kitchen counter. Thank you again for an amazing job…we love the bathroom. We look forward to our next project with DAD’s construction.
