My wife was in a car accident and was covered by State Farm to receive a car rental until her car was fixed. Unfortunately there was a problem with her bank card so her sister was asked to use her card for hold purposes only.Jake at Lake Elsinore was adamant and repeatedly said there would be absolutely no cost to her because it was an insurance claim and the car is completely covered, 2 months later with not even a courtesy call my sister was charged almost $1,000,00. Jake apparently checked the box Marked LDW (lost damaged waiver) which was NEVER communicated. After speaking with Christian at the Murrieta Department there was no compassion or understaing to what had happen and they said they will not reverse the charges.They susi charged us for 4 more days after my wife had been instructed to leave the rental at the repair shop. They did not pick it up until 4 days later.If it isnt enough that the whole world is struggling with keeping their jobs and paying mortgages. They feel its okay during the COVID-19 to hold others accountable for their own mistake!By the way who would ever agree to pay anything for a car rental covered by an insurance claim?Our entire family has been hit hard by this ridiculous charge and it does Hertz..........we cant seem to get a hold of Jake but it woud be nice if he would step up and be accountable.
