We met up with a couple of top notch ladies working at this place today. We collected a bunch of supplies as a group of friends and family to bring to the flood victims yesterday, and today we left for Lake Charles with it. We got turned around by every place we tried to drop stuff off to. The Red Cross was such a huge disappointment, I never witnessed anything like that before. I will never donate a thing to the Red Cross after I see what they are all about. We were pretty much at a loss, not knowing where to head with this stuff. We were about to head to Alexandria with it and someone mentioned the United Way which hadnt crossed our mind. So we looked up United Way on our handy google and got a phone number. Called and told this lady about a trailer load of supplies and a little detail of the items and they welcomed us with no questions asked. Im thankful for these folks being there and doing this. Its good to have had a good experience with the United Way.Flood the Love for Harvey!!
