I’ve had to have work done on my Jeep three times this year. Each time I’ve been able to get the work done and get it back quickly. Part of my work done required was headlight restoration. I didn’t think it was possible, but they look A-Ma-Zing. This business never disappoints me.

Theres no hidden fees or tryin to pull a fast one on me because Im a woman. I get a detailed analysis of whats wrong with me vehicles plus a detailed summary of charges/costs. Ive taken the same paperwork to a couple different shops and theyve quoted me sometimes twice the amount of what was already paid. Ill gladly make the 1 hr drive to make sure my vehicles get the correct work done. Thanks Aaron

I’ve only had my truck back for 3 days. So far so good on the work. The price was a few hundred higher than other shops but at the end of the day no regrets as of now. Most people don’t have two grand for unexpected brake downs but the great thing is at smart automotive you can apply for a 6 month same as cash credit card. So with that being said it was great for my family and myself.

I was stranded and called Smart Automotive. Lee drove to my location to see if he could be of assistance before calling a tow truck, which meant so much! They were very fast and to the point....had my car back in less than a day! Thanks guys!

These guys were freaking amazing!!! After a long road trip, (driving from Texas to South Carolina and back) with 3 other stops at mechanics in different states, these guys were by far the kindest, most honest group of guys!Being from out of town we had experienced some not so friendly and unhelpful mechanics as we looked for someone to fix the overheating problems we were having. Being stranded at a truck stop on the side of the highway didnt help our situation any either. After calling 5-6 different places we found Smart Automotive! They were super friendly and had a tow company they worked with come and get us within the hour and took us to the shop. SA made us feel at home and let us hang out for a few hours while we waited for our car to be done. They cracked jokes and made me, anxiety ridden and ready to explode, feel comfortable and in good hands. Even though they didnt have the parts to fix the issue they came up with a safe and perfect resolution to the problem and we were back on the road within hours. While we waited they gave us great ideas of places to eat, stay and enjoy if we ever came back that direction!! We will definitely stop back by even if we dont have car troubles! Very fairly priced! They were very polite and made sure I knew what was going on with my car. Even included pictures of each issue and a brief explanation on what was wrong and how to fix it. Even if they didnt offer a way to fix it they attached a video if available.

They did a fantastic job on my car. Very fast and friendly they had my car in and out the same day. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

My car was diagnosed the next day as planned. I was called with a price for repairs & I gave the ok to fix it. It was fixed on quickly as a matter of fact quicker than what I expected. Its running good as new. They also checked other things & gave me a heads up. Im going to go back to get the minor work done. Good job guys !

Took my car in to get fixed, knowing that there were a few problems, their test showed that there were a few more. They took pictures to show the problem areas and I was extremely happy they did as it allowed me see what was going on and to understand why my car was acting up. With that I also appreciated the report (via email) as it allows me to keep track of repairs. I was able to only to get some of the problems fixed due to budget, they did go above and beyond with the repairs. I am very grateful for everything they have done.

Jeff is the best! Smarts automotive has repaired our son’s mustang on two occasions, my F150, and most recently our daughter’s trail blazer. Fast friendly service combined with honesty, integrity, and fair upfront prices earns our business. A+

They did a fantastic job on fixing my husbands truck. Fixed the most urgent things and had it back quickly. The detailed reports are excellent and help you see exactly what the problem is. Will be back to finish getting what else needs to be done.

While driving through Lake Charles, and halfway through a 600 mile trip, my car starting having issues. I got a recommendation for Smart Automotive from a guy on the street, easily found their shop and they fixed me up quickly and confidently.While he could have easily taken advantage of a stranger passing through town (knowing that I am unlikely to return because I was just passing through, but instead Lee was generous and honest - making the simple and inexpensive repair needed to get me back on the road fast!

Warm, courteous service from start to finish! Jeff was very professional. The diagnostic service was thorough. The repairs were done quickly and I was well informed along the way. Though the repairs needed were many, I didnt walk away feeling like I had been taken for a ride. This is a business I will be a “forever customer” with and recommend anyone who has become frustrated with unpredictable & unreliable Lake Charles businesses to utilize. Aaron & Jeff are friendly, honest, accommodating & they know automotive repair & maintenance. I have always felt good about the care my 2007 Explorer receives and the when Jeff advises me on what work needs to be done I am confident that he is giving me honest information. Jeff also has no problem making contact with my warrenty company to determine if coverage of repairs is possible. Not all shops are willing to do this. Smart Automotive is a 5 Star Lake Charles business. Pull in next time your engine doesn’t sound just right, like I did.

I called around to multiple automotive shops and they were one of the cheapest to run a diagnostic test. They found the problem fairly quickly and got my part and changed it all in the same day when I thought I would have to leave my vehicle overnight like numerous other auto shops had stated I would!

Went in to get my oil changed and to see why my check engine light was on. They were very fast and I received great service. I will definitely be using them in the future.

I chose this place based on the reviews.My vehicle was powering down. I explained to him my problems & he called back with a solution & a quote that I agreed to: $670 to reset the memory on my H3. I tell him its a relief because I thought I needed an ECM. He calls back saying he realized it is the ECM & the price is now $1280. An ECM for my vehicle is $290 @ Auto zone, so I refused that quote. He rebuttals with $98.10 for checking it out. Thats the first I ever heard of this fee. And you didnt check it out to find that -- I told you that!

Will not ever go to this place again. Dishonest, horrible experience . I could write a book about everything that was wrong with this place. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere
