Aardvark had a great reputation back in the day when the original business operator was hands on.My pool had a slight leak, came out and ran pressure tests on it. One of the repair men said that he come to the home prior but back in 2014 before i purchased it. After 2 days of scratching their heads they could not determine where the water was being lost. What I could NOT believe was instead of being told what the issue was by the onsite technicians, a lady named Stacy, who never was on site and only saw photos sent to her via email, told me the verdict. They claimed that the waterfall was loosing water. This made no sense because the Spa only lost water when the system was running. Paid them $1,000 to get a phone call and still had a leak and no answers. Not to mention she has the WORST communication skills Ive heard in years. Rude, dismissive, argumentative and on a power trip.1 year later I had the pleasure of digging up the soil around the pool to see what the issue was. What i came to find was just pure laziness and neglect when it came to their plumbing repairs done prior to my home purchase. The plumbing was sloppy, rushed, not to code and compromised. They fixed the issue at hand but created the potential for several more issues to arise later. A great example of this was the fact when they had dug up the soil and rock features around the pool to access the plumping. Aardvark back-filled the trench with all the concrete shards, broken rock and debris directly onto the existing and original PVC piping. Many of the pipers were damaged because of this. The network of pipe that was installed was a rats nest around the abandoned original plumbing (which could have been easily removed, but wasnt) making several bends and 90 degree turns with at least 8 coupling fittings. All of this could have been easily avoided if they had cut out the old pipes.
Not sure if these guys are in business anymore. They don’t answer phones, have left multiple messages, and still no call back. Need to take business elsewhere…especially with pool leaking lots of water into the street. If still in business, very irresponsible to not return calls when you are a leak-detection service.
Our pool was losing a lot of water and did not know where the water was going. We were referred to Aardvark and they came out to check everything. Derek was able to find the leak and repair on the spot. I am happy we called Aardvark to take care of our pool.
I had a chance to talk with the Mitch, the owner, today over the phone and was impressed with how nice and knowledgable he was. I have an aunt in Orange County that may need service. Based on my phone call I definitely recommend Aardvark Pool and Spa.
Waste of my time and money. They did the same exact tests I performed and came to the same conclusion as I, Wheres the leak... They were unable to locate the leak. The lady on the phone acted like I was a kid with no clue as to how a pool holds water. The technicians didnt seam to know whats going on They would call the office with status updates and questions as to what they should do next.
