Kellen helped my 17 year old daughter prepare for the ACT spring 2021. He helped her improve her score by 4 points from her practice test to her first sitting ( she took it the second time yesterday). He is excellent, nice and 100% respectful. He doesnt waste a second, teaching to the most impactful bits first. I also think of him as a Teen Whisperer as he was able to engage my reluctant child and make it enjoyable! His communications back to the parents were superb.

AJ Tutoring is a great resource for students throughout their academic career. My son felt he learned the Calculus content more thoroughly and was better prepared for the exams than self-studying for this difficult college course. I have really enjoyed working with AJ tutoring for the last few months and enjoyed my experience. I went into ACT prep with little to no knowledge about standardized test taking and have learned a lot. I especially enjoyed working with David Griswold. He was always very helpful and skilled at explaining and teaching the material. I also appreciated his positive attitude and energy that he gave off. I want to mention that the tutoring environment was always very welcoming and I was never afraid to make a mistake or take a guess. The preparation was 110% and the practice test schedule (with proctors !!) was very organized. I saw a huge improvement with my test scores and was able to raise my ACT score by 7 points. AJ Tutoring has been great for me this past semester. Ive worked with multiple tutors for various subjects (SAT prep, algebra II/trig, and physics) and theyre all very helpful and flexible with my busy schedule. Zak W worked with my son to get him prepped for the HSPT exam. Paige has helped me improve my French studies over the last couple years and has given me a lot of great resources to use to understand the language more.

Back in summer of 2019 we looked for an ACT tutor that could come to the house and help our daughter improve on her test taking skills and overall score. We were very fortunate to work with David periodically over the past 14 months - with his coaching, practice tests, and positive attitude, our daughter was able to improve her score by 5 points! David focused on test sections that needed the most help and provided tips and strategies on how to complete each section with the best chance at success. This allowed her to have a competitive test score for college applications (even though they were optional this year). Of course the improvement required persistence and a lot of extra practice on her part, but it was well worth the time - our daughter was accepted to her first choice college!

When I came to my first tutoring session at AJ after my first practice test, I was really discouraged by my low score and wasnt really sure if I was going to improve. I worked with David on the SAT and had a great experience. He is very intellegent and thoughtful. The mock tests at AJ tutoring were also helpful as you could get used to the timing and format of the SAT.
