I looked at their business card and can confirm they are NOT 24/7.Backstory:My brother got into a wreck on the way to Texas due to Hurricane Ida (we live in New Orleans). We had no choice, but to get it towed since the L.C.A was no longer connected and the axle popped out. We left it there for a couple of days since we had no electricity nor water back home.Independent company:I asked if they would consider waiving SOME fees due to the situation back home. They rejected since I guess it’s not their problem. Overall had to pay $400 out of pocket for the towing service and have the vehicle stay in their lot for a couple of days.Service hours:We went off the fact that they’re 24/7 as stated on their Google page and business card. We arrived with a U-HAUL trailer from Houston at midnight. We called them and they said that they only service from 8-5. Due to that fact, we had to sleep in the truck overnight since no hotels were available and we live in New Orleans.Customer service:Not sure who the lady was in the back, but she seemed as though she didn’t want to be there. Spoke very little and was pretty rude to me. Manager was nice though, so I guess it balances out.Extra fees:As said before, the car wasn’t drivable. I asked the manager if he could put it on the trailer for us with his forklift. Charged us $40.Summary:Overall, I’m glad I don’t live in Lafayette. If I ever get stranded out there, I’d just take my chances with leaving the car on the road if there’s no other towing companies available.

Rick is probably one of the nicest people I’ve spoken to over the phone in a a very long time. I was trying to help a friend who was in an accident and needed a tow truck, it was just after 6:00 pm and you could tell it was busy, and that it had been a long day! He was still exceptionally polite, professional and proficient! I would definitely recommend his company if you ever find yourself in need of a tow truck. Thanks, Rick!!

I work for a used car dealership, and one of the cars we were selling that I happened to be driving was involved in an accident. The woman in the office wouldnt even allow me to see the car! Even though the police said I could go get whatever I wanted from the car and go get the car itself. I brought the keys and the police paperwork with me to no avail. She wouldnt even allow me to see it or take pictures of it for the insurance.

Horrible service/terrible costumer servicepeople don’t have any respect for anyone. They charge 4K for towing our trailer 20 miles, 2 changed tires, some air lines and one chamberhopefully you enjoy our money in this pandemia time, they changed the price $$ at the last minute and there’s nothing we can do about it, this is totally unacceptable!!!

Mr. Rick was a very respectful person and called me directly and was very helpful.

Strongly recommend not using these folks. Charged us just shy of $700 for a job that was 0.8 miles from their yard and took all of 10 minutes for them to do.

No company is perfect and sometimes mistakes are made and some of the ratings on here are bogus. The state regulates what the prices are for certain tows and how payments can be made if called out by the city or state police. Ricks towing doesnt have a choice in this matter. If you call any wrecker service yourself in an accident the price is always going to be regulated by the state law, regardless of who calls for the service. I ask any time you post something regarding a business make sure you know all of the facts. Business’s have laws and regulations that they have to abide by and Rick’s Towing is one of these business that does their best to be professional and make every tow a priority.

I had an oilfield building on a skid to move from an area that was difficult to load. The rotator crane put about 45 minutes into getting the bldg into a position where the trailer could load it. Clint then took his sliding axle trailer and loaded it moved it and unloaded it on my property. I cant speak highly enough of Ricks manager Clint and his crews. I forgot the guys name that operated the rotator crane but he did a great job too. I would give the 5 of 5 except they didnt call me back when I left a message.

Had given my business a couple of weeks ago. No problem. Today he was on Hwy 90 assisting an 18 wheeler. He flagged me to around. When I did, i was unable to pass or back up on the hwy. He came to window using profanity & insults. Had to call police he was so aggressive. Unbelievable attitude and treatment. Definite anger issues. Can not imagine how he stays in business!

Dont call these guys believe me. Just charged me 400 dollars literally for 30 minutes...that what it took them to get here and back... for just a simple 10 minute tug. Customer service is customer service. These **** dont have none. Forget about this company...they dont exist and they need to go out if business. In California where its 2 1/2 more expensive...they dont charge this much. This towing service is a complete scam.

Rude, rude, rude. Staff is ignorant and on a ridiculous power trip. Car was towed there around 10p, went to yard to retrieve keys, the yard boy says I need license and registration. I explained to the yard boy the registration is in my vehicle, ignorant yard boy says I can not enter my vehicle until he sees the registration. Yard boy then forces my hand to call the police station, at which point the Lieutenant informs the yard boy that his logic is flawed and to let me in my vehicle or he would come out. Yard boy immediately lets me in vehicle. So if you are a minority race do not allow this company to tow your vehicle, there are other reviews supporting racial bias. This company should only accept the business of non minorities if they do not intend on treating all customers with decency, courtesy, and respect.

Id give them a negative 0 if I could. They handled my husband poorly while he worked there. He was supposed to get a check today and they are not giving him his check. Bad way to handle business if you ask me. I would never recommend any one use them or work for them. And they talk bad about former employees.

My son was run off the road he avoided a wreck the cop said he did the right thing he got stuck in the mud the cop did not write a ticket the cop called for him a tow truck ricks towing they got there finely he pulls him out then tells my son that instead of $120.00 it will be 241.00 if he would have called it in it wood have bin $120.00. and then they sit there waiting while you go to your bank to get the money. my son had 200.00 in his bank account they said no. they wanted to Make share they got as much out of him as they could.so if your a victim of some Hi way accident they will be glad to make you more of a victim by taking advantage of you.HI way Robbery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!hay ricks stop ripping off victim on the HI way.and thanks for nothing.

Called Ricks towing at 1908 on nov. 25 to get a price for a tow from new iberia to youngsville ( exact addresses were given before she called the driver for a price) when the dispatcher called the driver and switched back over and advised me it would be $85 i said ok thats great i want the tow truck please send him and app how long till he arrived she called the driver again and advised me it would be 45 minutes. 1hour and 10 minutes later when my driver called to inform me that the ricks driver was lost . I called ricks back and they informed me that i gave them the wrong address but when i told them thats not the case they told me they would review the phone calls now i also have the calls recorded so i went back and listened clearly to the dispather ask me is that lafayette and i replied no maam its new iberia and then gave her the name of the store spanish lake market it as a mcdonalds inside of it long story short i was quoted $85 the driver wouldnt deliver my truck for less than $119 would not allow me to speak to a manager or the owner and they would not allow either so im without my vehicle which i need to repair tonight for work tomorrow as well as all my tools needed to finish a job tomorrow are inside of my truck . 3 hours waiting for tow truck to not only be treated very very poorly but i been a customer of ricks for well over 20 years and i promise you i will pay $200 to never use them again !!!!!!!@!

After a vehicle accident that I was involved in Ricks Towing picked up my vehicle and was asked to deliver the vehicle to my residence. My truck was then towed to Ricks Tow Yard and unloaded for said State Inspection of the tow truck. After returning home later that night my vehicle was still not at my home. After contacting the company, they were very rude and told me that they would deliver my vehicle the next day when they would get a chance. So the next day the dispatcher was contacted to find out an estimated time of delivery. She stated that she didnt know, and was very unprofessional. She exclaimed the amount of the tow bill which was double what I was originally quoted and she stated multiple times that it had to be paid in cash. Due to the lack of professionalism and pure rudeness along with the shady way of conducting business I will never use Ricks Towing again and hope that this review will help you with your future experience. I would not allow Ricks Towing to even take my cat to the vet!
