Horrible to do business with. Cannot meet deadlines or schedules. Will not return calls or emails until you threaten with a lawyer. Different people will give you different answers. Will tell you want you want to hear to make a sale. Will build across utility and drainage easements without concern. Even grass seed and landscaping was done improper planning and prep.

As a lender I have been working with Tempest Homes for a number of years. I always enjoy the working relationship with everyone involved in the process. Rebecca as a sales person is very thorough and has excellent knowledge of the building process and what it takes to get to the closing table. Tempest Homes is an honest builder - and they build a quality home. From my experience I see many current Tempest Home owners selling their home and building a new Tempest home. Ive had my home for 3 years. Drywall is the wrong thickness, roof Id getting bad, (according to my ins co.) And its just a cheap build. I will never buy another tempest home nor will recommend them. And I have an architectural engineering degree.

She helped make the experience of creating my newly built home go very smoothly step by step, and made sure I was happy with my new home! Great place to work

We are incredibly disappointed in Tempest. We chose to build a new home so that we would not have to deal with major repairs or replacements because of the warranty that comes with the home. We thought we were safe. We were wrong. We have been attempting to work with Tempest for the last three+ years to resolve an issue with our roof. They keep pointing fingers at the shingle company they used, and that company keeps pointing fingers at them. The part that frustrates me the most is that we were polite and patient, and now we are the ones having to deal with their mistake because we waited too long when they told us they were going to help us. We have to pay for the repairs out of pocket because we cant afford to fight the shingle company, and Tempest wont do anything else to help us.Lesson learned in home buying -- go with a more reputable company who backs up their product and cares about the customer. If you look on Yelp reviews, there are quite a few hidden reviews discussing similar issues that we are having. Honestly, I walk away from this sad more than anything. Im disappointed that a company doesnt back their product and stand up for what they claim to be.

I wouldnt recommend Tempest because of their workmanship and their lack of standing behind the work they do. Ive had nothing but issues with my roof since year 2 or 3 of owning my home. I contacted Tempest and they sent someone out to add more adhesive to a few shingles. Next time its just the slightest bit windy, I lose more shingles. Ive reached out to Tempest and the manufacturer of the shingles and all both companies want to do is point fingers. Meanwhile, every time its windy, I still lose shingles. Now I have additional damage to my home because Tempest doesnt stand by their work and Ive replaced the plastic on the roof several times to prevent additional damage. They will act like they care on the phone but actions are louder than words. Every shingle on the roof should have been replaced when I first contacted them but they dont care to take care of their buyers. Overall, I recommend that you dont purchase a Tempest Home. If they start to stand behind their workmanship, then I wouldnt have a problem recommending them.

We are very happy with our Tempest Home. Even after several years of living in our home are loving it. Rebecca took great care of us. Oh & we cant believe how low our utility bills are --- when they say the homes are built to be energy efficient, they mean it. The warranty department does a great job of following up too. We had an issue come up on New Years Day. Thought for sure it would be impossible to get help. Not the case ... as was promised by the 24 hour call number - even on a holiday we were helped quickly & efficiently. I would recommend Tempest Homes & do quite often to friends, family, & coworkers.

They build cheap homes with less skilled workers and cheap materials.

Could list a magnitude of issues with the company, but to keep it short and sweet.. DO NOT BUY A TEMPEST HOME! Save yourself time, money, and headaches!

I absolutely LOVE my Tempest Home & am so thankful to Rebecca Wright who helped to take care of us from start to finish through the build process. From getting our mortgage in place, to getting us to the finish line and moving into our new home, she is the best Realtor out there. She is Incredibly knowledgeable, & helped to be sure all of our bases were covered. After we moved in, the warranty team has been tremendous. We have had zero need for help, but having the 30 day & 11 month follow up walk throughs as part of our warranty was another thing we never imagined having with a home. So thanks to the Tempest Homes crew & Rebecca for making our house our home sweet home!

We had a wonderful experience working with Rebecca on building our home. It was really nice being able to have someone to call with any question that came up and really took the stress off of us. We are very pleased with the quality of our new home. If your looking to buy I would definetly recomened going through Rebecca and Tempest homes.

They wouldnt return my email about saving them money which in turn saves everybody loot

These houses are not cheap, but they are certainly built cheaply. We bought a brand new house expecting not to have to complete any repairs but that is definitely not the case. Doors falling off the hinges, bathtub installed incorrectly, and the cheapest flooring, carpet, and paint money can buy. Also, it should be no surprise that most of the positive reviews were made by people who work for the company such as Shane Tyra.
