Once we got into the bay, the process went by fairly quickly. But we had to wait over 45 minutes to get an oil change. The mechanics did let us know ahead of time that there would be a long wait, and they did provide us with bottled water to drink. My wife works out of town, and we have to get oil changes pretty regularly to keep our vehicle running properly. The mechanics were really friendly, but I think they are seriously understaffed there.

There was nothing wrong with the technicians, they did a great job. But the company didnt have enough people working. When i go to take 5 in new Orleans they have like 9 people working. This place only had 4. Took over an hour to get my oil change. And i really feel bad for the guys working because it makes them look bad, but they were doing the best they could.

Oil change was good but the crew halfway cleaned the windshield. When I brought it to their attention two different members said they did as best as they could do.

Each bay had 1 vehicle in it and I was the next vehicle. I was welcomed by a young man that was obviously a new employee and he said there would be a short wait and handed me a bottle of water. There were at least 10 working (not sure as I don’t know how many were down in the pits), yet it was very disorganized. It was more than 30 minutes before the car before was finished (they were already working on it when I pulled in behind it). Once I pulled in, I sat there for 20 minutes before anyone even spoke to me. It appeared that they were all working on 1 vehicle at a time (my observation). When they finally started on my vehicle, 50 minutes had already gone by (I had timed this on my phone). The rep tried to sell me an air filter which they said they had in stock. Yet, he came back after several minutes and said he couldn’t find it (another delay putting my old filter back in). I drove out from start to finish time, 1 hour and 22 minutes! When spending over $100 for an oil change, I could have gone to any service center and waited as long and paid less without the aggravation. Watching guys run around in disorder and watching some standing around joking, checking their phones, etc—I won’t be back. This is not the first time long waits for seemingly no reason has happened. Last time, they offered to change my wiper blades. After getting mine off and throwing them away, it took 3 different guys to try and figure out how to put their brand of blades on my Mercury Marquis. They finally gave up, retrieved my old wiper blades which were now torn causing me to go get new ones before I could leave town (I was on my way out of town that time and didn’t plan to stop at auto parts to install wiper blades that took me less than 5 minutes).I only stopped at Take 5 yesterday because I thought it looked as if I could save time since I was next door getting a haircut—I was wrong. I’ve learned my lesson; go elsewhere. I’m not sure what Take 5 means but it isn’t anything to do with saving time!

Take5 is always pretty great customer service. Today when I went they were a little short on staff but were upfront and told people ahead of time so they werent just left wondering why the wait was long. It still didnt feel like it took too long, but I may just be that patient lol.They also provide discounts for Lyft and Uver drivers! Idk if that also applies to delivery drivers like Postmates or Doordash but its probably worth asking if you stop by for an oil change.

If you need your oil changed, dont look any further! Go here! All these young men are really hard workers with a friendly positive personality.( Dont forget their tip 😋its hot out, they deserve it) I will be coming back. Thank yall!

Go here to change your oil please! If youre really lucky youll get Bryan and Mr Jeremy. They checked everything from front to back, including the cabin air filter. Id never heard of that filter. Good thing Bryan checked. It was the original filter from when the car was made in 2008! We were breathing that for the last 3 months weve owned this car! Im a little traumatized! And everything was only $130. Well worth it I think. Thanks for excellent excellent service!

Normally receive excellent service here. Went recently and was helped by what I assume to be a new hire. He fumbled for a good 10 minutes trying to open the hood and did not seem to have any earthly idea what he was doing. The oil I needed was out of stock, and I dont blame the employees for that, but it was frustrating to wait in line for an hour to no avail. Will not be returning to this location.

They told me it will take 30 minutes I was there over an hour all the workers was just talking I’m not doing anything when I first got there I asked him are they associated with Carfax they told me no but they are I gave them a one star because they lied to me and they took forever to do the work

Even thought it was close to closing time. The people were very nice and while waiting they offered cold water. They checked all fluids and made sure to let me know of any issues. Even showed me that the oil was full and clean.

1 hour and 40 minutes oil change. This is the second time Ive come here. First time took 45 minutes. This is a heads up to everyone wanting to go here. I will never go back and its a shame because their team was great. It was just absolutely not worth it.

First class experience at Take 5 on Ambassador. Greeted promptly in a friendly manner. Once I got into the bay, Bryan took great care of us. Went over all the options and also went over everything they were going to check and take care of. Friendly, Profession, and Efficient. If you need an oil change I highly recommend Take 5 on Ambassador.

They were very busy when I went so I had a bit of a wait but the service was still faster than other places. I was not offered bottled water. I also was not offered some of the services I overheard other customers being offered (air filter, windshield wiper, etc). The young man that helped me seem to either be very standoffish or shy but he was courteous. Still, I would recommend this place because of good service and a staff that seems to be knowledgeable and efficient.

I go here everytime I need an oil change as I find its convienient, they already know all of my information and Im clueless as to what my car needs. I will say the last few times Ive been here, the more I dislike going. As a young woman I feel very uncomfortable, these guys flirt and cut up with eachother. The last time I went the guy was so busy flirting that when he changed my cabin filter he didnt put the glove box back together, left all my items out which was fine but when I went to put everything back in the glove box fell down as far as it could go. When I got home I found the bolts on the floorboard and put it back together myself. I just wish these young men could me more professional. They do their job well other than that.

Spent 30 minutes here and got no service because the guy made me switch bays twice, letting other cars move ahead of me. Guy then had the nerve to ask me to move again because they were closing the 3rd bay. Wanted me to move back to a previous bay behind a car I was already in front of before. When I refused he told me it was either that or no service. I left. Would leave zero stars if I could.

I have no idea how this shop has almost 5 stars because nobody services you at this shop there was only 1 car in front of me and it’s taking me over an hour to get my oil change done didn’t even receive a water this is the worst Take 5 I’ve ever been to

I was in and out with a full synthetic oil change in less than 30 minutes. All fluids checked. The guys were friendly and informative. They answered all my questions and took the time to make sure I got the exact right product that was best for my car. Very pleased and will go back. I also got online and looked up a discount coupon while I waited in line and they gladly took it for that oil change. Score one win for the internet!! Lol

I have been to this exact location numerous times. In the past I would have rated my experience 5 starts. This time however wasn’t the best. The workers were not super friendly, but they were speedy. They didn’t resent my oil light, they didn’t put air in my tires, they didn’t offer water or anything (like they have done in the past). It just wasn’t the same. It appear to be a different group of guys. It was just okay.

I am giving you a 3-star rating, not because of your service, which was quick and rather excellent, not because of your employees, who were knowledgeable, efficient and courteous. I am giving you your three star rating because you offered me a price, and then told us that you didnt stalk our oil from our car. So the original price, which would have been $42 with a $21 air filter turned out to be $92! Now, you got it done quickly, and you obviously knew what you were doing, so we would be fairly happy with you, if you hadnt pulled what seems very much like a bait and switch. Perhaps it was unintentional, but it left us with the impression, which is why youre getting this rating from me. We would have been willing to pay for the higher price, considering that its formulated for extra mileage, but not today, when money is low. Dont offer a price, and then bait and switch. Its not going to work, and thats not how youre going to get return customers.

The guys always do a thorough job with the oil and will only offer additional services based on need.

They are quick and get it done. The receipt says they clean your windshield but no one cleaned my windshield. They didn’t check my wiper blades and the receipt also states that the tire pressure was checked and good. The tires were not checked. I had to put air myself when I got home. But they are quick they get the oil change done and don’t run half a tank of fuel letting it sit there and run like other places.

They were very kind, very attentive! They brought us drink and gave us information immediately. They were quick, very well informed, and so polite. I was out of there quicker than ever before. I certainly recommend it and I will be returning!

Not only was I pleased with the service the manager told me about an offer that was better than my coupon. Thats great customer service. I called a few people and they can that same day.

Waiting here for 28 minutes. Two vehicles in the bays. No one came out to greet me. When the attendant finally came out he was rude and made excuses about being short handed. Unacceptable. My time is extremely valuable. Unusual for this location but not coming back.

The employees were polite, however, one employee in particular did not seem to know what he was doing when it came to changing power steering fluid. He complained to his colleagues a few times and did a poor job, after his frustration got the best of him. Recommend making sure competent employees are hired. More than likely will not return.

Staff was very nice. But, said my coupon was out of date that was 25% off. Also had $3 off sticker for wiper blades. Management couldnt figure out how to put it in computer. They did give me $10 off of $108 oil change. Thats not 25%. I paid for a 10,000 mile oil change. They couldnt warranty it. They did do it with a smile on their face though.

Yes they took forever then they checked my transmission fluid and added the wrong transmission fluid and now my transmission is messing up. Im highly upset and will be talking to an attorney soon

The employees of Take 5 on Ambassador Caffery in Lafayette Louisiana are the most courteous, outgoing, and professional staff. They made my experience very pleasant. Their fast and friendly service was extremely appreciated.

Very knowledgeable, professional staff, they work as a team. Yes, it was a bit more expensive than where I usually go, but its worth it because they do everything... they researched what type of oil my car should take based on age and type and mileage, showed me the dipstick so I was sure it was enough oil and that it was clean. Checked my filter and asked if I wanted it replaced after showing it to me. Offered to change my a/c filter, put air in my tires, asked before they did everything and the price points were visible. The place Id been going to didnt do any of that even though they state that they will check your air pressure and vacuum your car... those things were never done and they didnt bother to talk to me about what I wanted or needed done. I drive a lot for work. My car needs to be in good condition. Ill definitely be going back.

This location has some of the most honest people working there. I was initially going to go to a different place to change my oil but they were full so I pulled into here. Upon getting inside the stall the workers immediately brought water for me and my husband as well as juice and snacks for my 3 children. They started checking my oil and the cams back and said I do not need one due to my oil being clean. They said the oil was a little low and they would fill it for free. Once done with that they showed me again that my oil was clean and good to go. I was and still am beyond pleased and impressed with this companies honesty. They have a loyal customer for life !!

A great bunch of guys. Everything was done quickly and efficiently in front of your eyes (you stay sitting in your car while they change oil...). Only thing is there is no way to tip them by credit card. It needs to be cash....

Quick and convenient but pricey. You stay in your vehicle for the change....which is nice but an oil change for my pickup was $90+ . I wont do that very often.

Found out about this place due to a job, and now I use it personally. They keep track of your wipers and oil for you, they refill your windshield wiper fluid, and even offer you a soda or water while you wait.Seriously, fast and sweet. I hate changing oil, and they minimize the annoyance greatly!

Wish there were a way to give no stars. I had an old 96 Ford Explorer that I maintained religiously on my own. No leaks and everything on it worked fine.I bring it here and they overfilled the oil. I came back a few days later when it started leaking to talk to the manager. They put me back in the bay to check the oil and sure enough there was too much oil. He showed me my ticket that said the tech noticed an oil and transmission leak before they began work(very small font way at the bottom of the page). I told him its never leaked and if he saw a transmission leak I wanted to see it. They could not point out the transmission leak because it didnt exist. I told them that they most likely out that there was a leak on paper to cover them if they messed something up like they did with me. He told me to leave or he would call the police.I left and was able to contact the District Manager who told me that overfilling the oil would not cause a leak. I asked him when oil pressure built up and extra oil had nowhere to go what he thought would happen to it... He had no answer. I told him it would find a way out and it did through the deal that busted due to the oil being overfilled. He then stated that it wasnt the oil being overfilled it was the age of the vehicle. He said that there are cameras in the bay and that they reviewed the tapes and confirmed that the tech did not overfill the oil. I told him that they checked it at the shop and confirmed it was overfilled and asked to see the video myself. He refused to let me see the tapes then suggested that I must have added oil to the tank after I left their shop.Bottom line... They messed up, caused my vehicle to leak and wont do anything about it... All while trying to push the blame on me or the age of my car, outright lying about what happened and threatening to call the police if I didnt just go away.Stay far away from this company.
