We bought a new house and our trash can was stolen. Our new trash can was ordered 09/13/2021 and scheduled to be delivered 09/15/2021. It is now 09/28/2021 and we have no trash can. When I call, they either don’t answer or are shocked that it hasn’t been delivered and promise it’ll be delivered same day.. that has yet to happen. I’m paying for a service I’m not receiving at this point. Trash is accumulating in my garage because we were under the impression that we’d be getting in our trash can. It’s frustrating to call daily and typically not get a response.

Months of issues with this company. Watched them wheel my trash can from my house via my camera system, with no explanation as to why. It’s been over a week and a half. I’ve called several times and still no definite answer as to when I’ll receive it, all the while, trash is piling up in my garage and in my home. Looking to change services really soon.

I set up service on August 4th where I paid and my can was supposed to be at my home on the 11th. I called several times and no one could tell me where my trash is until I called back for the third time on the 16th to be told there werent any cans but I should have a can today August17th !!!! Two weeks have passed and we have very full trash cans and they have been skipped two times! My neighbor got their trash picked up and one doesn’t even pay for it. There are two residents paying one bill! I have had a box spring on the side of the toad now that was supposed to be picked up on the 16th of last month after being out there for a week prior! I have called twice concerning the box spring, it is still on the side of the road. We have Four cans that we rotate. All 4 cans are full!

If I could give Republic zero stars I would. They are that BAD in every way. Pic ups are missed on a continual basis. My trash bin was picked up by mistake. I have been calling since for over a week for a trash bin they picked up by mistake. It is over a week now, I have called every day...same spiel...someone is going to call me, they never have. I have a garage full of garbage bags....this has been over a week. The worst of the worst.

Scamming people out of their money when they purchase a trash can and never deliver it. I have waited 4 weeks for a trash can to be delivered. I have talked to 5 different people and NONE OF THEM ARE HELPFUL. The lady I talk to today put me on hold in the middle of me telling her what is going on. How are you people even in business?

Looks to be a trend. Ive been waiting on a trash can for over 3 weeks now and have been told on 2 separate occasions that the can would be there. I still do not have a trash can. Im now being told Monday August 20. I was still billed for a full month of services though.

I bought a house and called to set up service. Paid my deposit, and 2 weeks of pickups later and still no trash can delivered. Contacted customer service, told me I was on the route to have it delivered, but it would be after they close around 6. Its saturday, no trash can, 2 weeks of trash on my back patio, and they have my money. Ive literally been robbed by a company.

They will happily skip your trash can if its even mildly inconvenient for them to access, and if you then report a missed pickup they wont even come until the next scheduled pickup! Whats the point of reporting a missed pickup if they wont pick up what they missed?

My trash can was damaged and called to get a replacement. Took days to finally get someone on the phone. The greeting talked about Martin Luther holiday. It was August. The problem was also reported on their website and still haven’t received a response from that. A delivery date was set. The damaged can was approximately 15 feet from the ditch. This was their excuse for not swapping out the can. The can is delivered in an enclosed truck not the truck that picks up trash. The man has to get out to make the exchange so this was just pure laziness. I called again to complain so they put me off for another week. Now if I didn’t own a second can just what was I suppose to do with 2 weeks of garbage. I’ve never been late with a payment and I’m very dissatisfied. If this problem ever happens again I just might take my trash directly to my local location.

Each time I call no one can tell me why it hasnt been delivered. I wish the city of Lafayette would contract with another company.

Tried scheduling pick-up for a mattress and was told itd be almost a month until they could come because its not my week. I was told the companies hands were tied by a contract with the parish and that they can only service me when the contract says they can. I pushed back and was told if I have concerns about their service I should take it up with my elected officials, not them. What a joke. The company gets the contract and doesnt care how is serves its PAYING customers, only making sure it meets the minimum requirements on a contract.

If you think their residential service is horrible (and it is), try their commercial service. Extremely unethical business and billing practices. Follow all the rules to cancel their service once your contract expires, and they wont answer the phone or return you calls. They refuse to pick up their dumpster off my property and keep billing me even though I closed the account (certified letter to prove it). People at corporate office are responsive and act empathetic, but say local Lafayette office are the only ones who can close an account. Well, the local office will no longer answer my calls or return my calls. If any employee of mine ever treated one of my customers the way Republics reps treats their customers, they would be fired immediately. Why even bother having a voice mail? People, call your local city council member. Lafayette needs to rethink what companies they are using our tax dollars to do business with.

They will stop pick up if late while others are always late by forgetting to pay. Will not do side pick up or missed pick up while will do for others. Not treated fairly. Do not care at all for customer relationship. Other stuff but will not post.

Worse than useless. Leaves our street a wasteland of knocked over and broken garbage cans. At least recently they tend to empty them first, was real pleasant waking up to find they dumped an entire cans worth of garbage in the street then drove off.

This company has been a nightmare! Several weeks ago, Republic took both of my bins, left my trash on the side of the road, and left a note that said I hadn’t paid my bill. I had just moved into my house and my bill wasn’t even due yet! I called Donna in the Lafayette, LA branch, and the customer service line. They admitted it was their fault, but it took two weeks and several phone calls to get the bins back. Then, they only delivered one bin! I pay for TWO services. It has since been over a week, and I have called Donna 3 times, emailed customer service, Facebook messaged the company, and called customer service. I was told I would have a recycling bin on Friday 6/26, but it never showed. Donna refuses to call me back. This company has HORRIBLE customer service, and tread their customers like TRASH.

In the past I’ve felt with broken trash and due to mishandling by truck. I’ve also had plenty occasions that my street was skipped all together. Now I’ve moved into a new home transferred the services and they have take. Both my new can they just delivered Monday and my can that I purchased years ago do now I have no trash can at all it’s been 3 days and I still have not been assisted with the matter this is day 4 I’m calling again and currently been on hold for 8 minutes and still waiting this is frustrating and yes my bill was paid.

I spoke to someone local and was told that she would put in a missed pickup order for the very next day, this is for all of Delta’s tree limbs up and down my road. Explained that the piles were so high it interferes with traffic. Needless to say my neighbors and I have seen two trucks two days after the call and all the drivers did was look and floored the truck! So people who line in Lafayette PARISH but not the city, pay for services that are NOT rendered!!!

Expensive joke of a service. Must pay them but your service will be random at best. Actually had yard waste that had sat in my yard on a busy road. It’s still sitting a year later. Trash is being pickup but collecting yard waste is a big problem. Whenever I do have yard waste to be collected 4 out of 5 times the waste is not collected. It is so frustrating. Since my collection day is on Thursdays the earliest I can report the issue is Friday morning. Once I report the problem I am usually told the earliest it can be collected is Tuesday. Responsiveness and punctuality is not a quality Republic possesses when it comes to yard waste.

Just moved into my new house, got their service. Everything was going great until I decided that I wanted to purchase an extra waste container.. 4 weeks later, I’m still calling in total about 7 times now, it still never arrived.. today was pick up date, and now they decided to picked up my only trash can... the one that comes with the service!! Now I don’t have any trash can!! I called the office, and their replied was that they will escalate the problem, but I won’t receive my containers until next week!! They have been “escalating” the problem 7 times already!! They are the worst!!! I even explained to them that I have a big party today, and the rep response was “I can locate you to the closest landfill near you” !!!! The worst!!

This company is absolutely awful. If I could give negative stars, i would. The local division where I live does not respond to anything. There is no way to contact anyone directly - only the call center. I will absolutely complain to my local city council about the insanity we go through with these people. Between their inability to keep their fleet up and running to empty our cans on time, to not picking up bulk waste when they are supposed to - this company should be out of business or at least the management replaced. I have literally called almost every weekday for 3 weeks regarding a bulk pickup. And no - no one came to pick it up the week they are supposed to. Of course I am told by some customer service person that they will come before the end of the week - lies! I have note after note for the local division to pick up these bulk items and left a number for someone to call me - twice. Of course, no one called me back. They are unresponsive to customer needs or complaints. If your city has a choice - pick a different company!

I ordered a second waste bin for my house in march. I was given a delivery date of april 2nd. April 6th still no waste bin. Call and was told that it hadnt been scheduled. This is something that has to be prepaid to get the waste can its just tificulous for their lousy service

Ive been a customer for over 2 years with this company which has been very diligent collecting rubbish for weekly scheduled times. I know so many people have complained about speaking on the phone with no assistance but Ive always used the app and have had a great experience. Any time there has been the occasional missed pick up Ive always been able to report it via Republic Services app and they have always been back to retrieve it the very next day even on the weekend. Im thankful that my neighborhood has had great services all this time. I was really surprised by so many negative reviews. Keep up the good work. Thank you kindly for the wonderful job in our area!

Terrible Service, customer service is a joke. Everything that they tell you they will do to keep the account doesnt happen. They bill you for extra pickups that dont occur, they miss pickups, they leave trash on the ground that doesnt fall into the truck with their robotic pickup arm. Absolutely awful customer service. Pickup missed two weeks in a row. After multiple calls, EVERY call ended in There is definitely someone on their way tonight they will be there we promise with no pickup in sight. Our trash can is destroyed by the past couple of pickups, and when they FINALLY picked up today, our trash was strewn all over the ground around the now-broken trash can. There was supposed to be a new can delivered today, and no delivery happened. I have lost my patience with this terrible, unprofessional company.

I paid for new service 2 weeks ago. They didnt drop off my cans last week or this week (today). Lied to me and said by 5 this afternoon and if I had any problems they are open until 9pm. They are NOT open. Did NOT drop off the cans. Which means I have to wait a third week now. They wont allow me to go pick up cans or throw my trash at their facility. $160+ and have not gotten anything from them but lies. Horrible service. I am disgusted.

They are very hit and miss about picking up our waste--they do better with the Blue carts, I would guess that is because they use a truck with a machine to pick them up- but any other trash you have they pick and choose what they want to pick up--When you call to ask why, they seem like they have no clue that they even service your trash pick up. I wish we had other options in our area.

They have pushed my delivery date back 6 times!!!!.. without a notification, no credit on my acct, and I have to call for missed pick ups. (We put garbage bags out since we dont have a container). I have been with this company for nine years. Like the garbage they pick up, they stink. Pick ups are often missed and trying to get a make up pick they route you to a customer service rep from another state. No help from them. If this was a one time only problem I could understand but this has happened so many times I can only say their service is very poor.Well another week and for the second week in a row, no pick up. Called and was told it would be picked up today. No pickup. This company absolutely stinks, pun intended. They have some real problems, but unfortunately they are to the only game in town. There are only two customers next to each other for pick ups on the boulevard I live on. There are pick ups across the street. I suspect that since I complain I am being targeted. But posting this complaint is far from being the end of the story. I will contact my local councilman and make a personal visit to the local Republic Services office. The only way to get their attention.

Changes are being made and the recent service I received from Scott Bertrand in Lafayette Parish has given me a reason to come back and leave a much more positive review than my last. Ive dealt with this company for a long time and prior to today I had always felt helpless when dealing with unresolved issues. However, they appear to be trying to right their wrongs and have someone taking our issues seriously. Scott not only brought me the new cans I have been asking for, but he also went out of his way to transfer all of my trash from the old can into the new ones while I was away. He was also very sincere and apologetic in our telephone conversations. It took some time to get to this point, and it never should have gotten so out-of-hand with this company over the years, but hopefully this is a start to them clearing up their name and reputation in our Parish! Constant missed pickups. Even the rescheduled pickups get missed. This has happened numerous times and they can never give me a reason why. Keep in mind I live in a subdivision and both neighbors on each side of me get picked up. Every time I call they say my account is fine, never a late payment, and that they will get a pickup scheduled (which never comes). I absolutely hate this company.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!DO NOT GET REPUBLIC SERVICES!I tried getting trash service over 2 months ago, and paid up front for the service. I have NEVER received a trash can. I have contacted support multiple times and each time they tell me they will bring a can to my house within a couple days which did not happen. I was also told the trash truck would pick up my garbage in bags since they would not bring me a can, but the truck did not bother to pick it up when they were in the area. This company the worst and is 100% unreliable. They will never get a dime from me ever again.

My trash has not been picked in three weeks. The truck trash run is on Wed mornings yesterday I even drove my car behind the truck stopped the driver to advise him that he didnt pick up my trash.I also placed a call to the center and spoke an agent in AR who could have cared less about my service problems. I going to city hall I need them to credit my account for trash pick up. Im not paying for a service Im getting my trash can is still at the curb filled with 3 weeks worth of trash. Unacceptable!!!!

I scheduled a new service with them over two weeks ago. Got an email confirming my trashcan was delivered on August 1, but it never was. Every time I call, they say Huh, I dont know why they keep pushing your trash can delivery back. Thats so weird. I have put in 3 escalations with the supervisor. Every time I call, they tell me that my trash can was supposed to be delivered the day before even though it wasnt. The customer service representatives that I have spoken to have been extremely kind and helpful in getting these escalations submitted, but the follow through from the company has been lacking.Im supposedly receiving my trash can on Monday morning, but Im not holding my breath.

I had called 8 times over the course of 2 months to resolve my issue and not one phone call was received. My tarp that was used for my yard debris was taken and not left like always. I requested to have a member of management contact me. I left my phone number and cell number and not one phone call was made to me, no message or voicemail was left. My tarp was still not replaced. Also, my claim was denied without anyone notifying me or a reason why. I wanted to speak to member of management and was not given even a courtesy call to explain whats going on. My neighbor even witnessed them taking it. I dont know how they can deny a claim not speak to anyone about it. Also yard debris is not picked up on a weekly basis as stated by Republic Services.

I have been trying to get an old couch picked up for over two months! Each time I leave it by the road they pass it up. I’ve been storing it in the trailer. Had problems in my old neighborhood where the trucks are leaking oil/ hydraulic fluid on the ground. Where every trashcan is placed you can see the dark spots. Moved a few miles down the road same problem. Westfield subdivision and oak ridge estates. The problems aren’t being resolved.

Words cannot describe my frustration with this company. We had just moved into a new house and they just took my trashcan with no notice. When I called to set up service they said it would be almost 2 weeks before I could get a new can delivered. When the new one didnt show up I called and their excuse was that the person who set up my account didnt know I had to pre pay and that I had to give them $80 before they would send me a new can. I have called on Monday to schedule an extra pick up. They were supposed to come on Tuesday between 7-5. I called around 1:30 Tuesday to check and I was assured they were coming. Guess what they did not come. Pay for service here and the first time I need a large item to be picked up the drivers so say its too heavy so I lighten it. Then another driver said he came by well I didnt see him and I was home all day. This is very frustrating I pay my bill on time every time and this is the is the treatment they give. Plus a supervisor was supposed to give me a call and Im still waiting for that call.

Republic Waste service in the Carencro area really sucks. I have been calling since Wednesday May 1st, now today is Saturday May 4th and still no trash pickup. So I called again today and now no one answers the phone. The rates keep going up but the service from Republic goes down hill. The only garbage collector in my city. Getting paid on a city contract. I live on a dead end street. The simple minded driver forgets to go down the dead end every other week. I call and email the company everyday for a week. They assure me that Im on a priority list and someone will be sent out immediately. All lies!! I called the city who informs me that everyday my garbage isnt picked up, Republic Services will receive a fine. So call your city hall and report every time these rip off artists fail to pick up your garbage.

Just had two trucks parked outside my house with the engines on for twenty minutes while to two drivers chit chatted on the street. As one of them was turning her truck around to leave, one of them honked their horn.There was no need to do that since there was no one obstructing her way or any traffic at all. This type of public disturbance is completely unnecessary and uncalled for at 6:30 AM.

The parish government should step in and hold these people accountable. They dont care about their customers because their customers have no choice but to use them. I contacting them 12 days ago to request a trash can for my new house, Im still piling up the trash because no one has delivered the trash can. Yesterday I was promised there would be a can at my house before the sun came up this morning; still nothing. When I call, they admit that they made an error, but they do nothing to make it right. I see all the complaints on this site, yet nothing is done by our elected officials to find us another trash company; one that would be the public service company they are supposed to be. Republic Trash Company is exactly what their name implies, trash.

Usually dont have a complaint, but I literally just watched the trash truck spill my trash onto the street, roll over it with his big truck, then leave the scene of the crime. I dont think I did anything for him to hate me, but it sure seems like hes not a fan of my house.

This company is horrible my trash has not been picked up in 3 weeks and every time I call I get a different person telling me the same thing. They are saying my address is in the system they are not sure why it isnt getting picked up they put me on hold to so say call dispatch to send a driver back who NEVER shows up. My regular pickup day is a Thursday I was even told they set up a repick up for the next day no one shows up again so I call only yo he told the driver is on the way at this time I know I am being lied to because its almost 5 oclock. To top it all off I get a bill sent to me for over $90 they are trying to charge me for services I never received. This company is horrible it seems as though they train their workers to say the same thing when you call with a complaint!!!Horrible company

I would give this company a NEGATIVE 100. I have been calling multiple times for the last couple of weeks to get an issue resolved and continue to get road blocked. The representatives dont document talking to me and I have to repeat myself to each one over and over and then when I ask to speak to a supervisor for more than three days no one calls me. I have made a consumer complaint against this company to the attorney generals office and plan on contacting the city to complain about their service as well. This company is a joke!

ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE!!! If I could give 0 stars, I would. They do not pick up consistently, and when you call to report a problem they give you the run around and offer no help. The trash in my neighborhood has been sitting out for close to a week now, and the neighborhood smells HORRIFIC. Unfortunately, LCG forces us to use this terrible company, so they are partly responsible. Not only is their residential service awful, so is their commercial service. It was so terrible we canceled our contract and went with another company. It was the same thing every week at our business, they would not pick up when they were scheduled and when youd call they were rude and offered no help.

I usually dont take the time to write reviews, but I just had to on this one. It is unfortunate that we do not have a choice in who picks up our trash. Republic Services is HORRIBLE!!! They have missed too many pickups to count. And when I reschedule a pickup, its 5 or more days after and they still do not come! This is for a business and we have a full trash can out the whole weekend, which makes the business look bad! I would NOT use Republic if I had a choice.

Honestly, the most bullheaded people I have ever spoken with. They have repeatedly broken my property and changed billing and scheduling for pickups without notification, causing frustrating when trying to schedule pickups for bulk items and yard waste when the dates arent the same as the last time we contacted them. Very unreliable customer service.

Republic is the worst trash company I’ve ever dealt with. They pick up other people’s trash on my street while leaving mine for three weeks at a time. The trash collector admitted to my father that it is because they have to back up down my street to get to my house. When my dad suggested they get out of the truck to get my can, he got no response. Sounds like Republic hires some lazy people.

Horrible experience with this company! The speed from the drivers is absolutely unacceptable! I wish I could clock them, but I suspect they go about 30 miles an hour doing quick U-turns at the end of my cul-de-sac. They randomly miss canisters on our street as if its a daily pick and choose of whose trash they feel like picking up. And messy? All the time! Just horrible!
