I’ve lived in Lafayette for a year, moved from Austin, TX. Not being familiar with the area I went with a chain. The first 2 visits were great. After that I guess there was new management and staff. On my first occasion I arrived 45min before closing, and what I learned was the manager, literally said “Were not taking anymore clients.” It was dismissive and I found suspect, it being 45 min before they closed. Cool, whatever.I attempted to once again get my haircut on Tuesday, around 2pm. The manager, the same one who ushered me away at my last attempt to get a haircut, was just finishing with a customer with 2 small kids. She tells me she will be with me in a moment, and proceeds to leave the salon, come back with food, and about 15 min later I see her sweeping and cleaning up around the Salon. She definitely didn’t want to cut my hair, on 2 different occasions. And that’s all good Bc I definitely don’t want someone prejudiced or bigoted to cut my hair either. Also none of the staff was masked up. And I highly doubt they’re vaccinated. I ended up going to a salon in the same shopping center. Located in the front of Great Clips in a white building. Much cleaner, more professional. I walked in, was greeted, didn’t have to wait, and she happily cut my hair. I don’t understand why Great Clips staff and the manager didn’t want to cut my hair, but I have some ideas and they definitely have to do with my racial make up. I’m Hispanic. I guess we all can’t be from a trailer in Acadiana and thank gawd I’m not. Take your money and business elsewhere if you’re a person of color. We’re definitely not welcome here and they shouldn’t get our money anyways.

Quick in and out hair cut for the boys. It was late in the day but they still got us in. The boys were happy with the haircuts.

For a guy getting our haircut can be something more if we only understood how to answer the One Question that matters When we sit in The Chair. What Do you Want?I have answered so many different ways hoping to finally get this question right and have rarely gotten up feeling I was about to pay for what I wanted when I walked into the Hair Salon.I choose SportClips because of the Military Discount. I get the MVP for the cheap cut price. For that I appreciate the SportClip Franchise.I will admit I havent always left happy. Mostly my own fault for not being able to answer that question....I needed to understand how to. Which has been difficult over the years. I told one stylist after being frustrated about the question What do you Mean, You are the Professional... You tell me! She had her career moment and glowed as She cut my hair and had the other stylist love what she did, but I had to bit my lip and say I love something I detested.For Ashley....I was prepared for the Question and I opened up my dating app pics and showed her a pictures of myself allowing her to see the many looks I could have but the one I wanted. She laughed because I told her the chair I was in was the same one When I answered that question telling the stylist You tell me...Youre the Professional. She took this experience as a professional and remarked Is that why you wanted to see who was working. Yep- I definetly try to avoid that stylist and having to support her career with another bad cut.Ashley rolled with the laughter the others working gave ... Speaking of their dating apps as I kicked on My Barber Chair Banter. I understand if I am paying someone I may as well save a few dollars from a therapist and get some real advice in what I call stranger therapy. Yep- I am Definetly a Fruit Loop in most peoples bowl of cherrios. I am who I am and allow others to always understand that.Most guys do not understand that importance of allowing a connection with the Stylist your paying. For Ashley I give her the ultimate 10 star review.I am a bubble person and allowing someone into mine is a choice. Her 10 year experience came through on every level.I share this review allowing other guys to understand the MVP at SportClips in my book. For that.....it saddens me to be moving to Fort Lee,VA. I finally found a Stylist I would schedule appointments with. I wish I could of Tipped more and bought more products.

Walk ins are always welcomed, or you can book an appointment with a certain stylist or first available. In and out in under 30 minutes.Social distancing is practiced while waiting and while in the barbers chair. Stylist wear masks at all times.

Very pleased with my experience. Staff very polite and professional and all very friendly. Cut looked really good. They listened and did exactly what was wanted and i have had a different stylist every time i have been there. Very inviting atmosphere. Damn but i looked good when they were done !! Lol.

Since my normal barber was booked up I decided to give this place a try.. I asked for a mid bald fade on the sides and dont touch the top.. what I got was a basic garbage fade with a #1 guard on the sides then she starts cutting the top. Half way thru she remembers I didnt want anything off the top. Now the front top of my head is shorter than the rest.. Im just glad my barber casey at xclusive cutz can fix this mess.. I definitely will not be using Kim at sports clips again

This place sucks! I went with a picture and said I wanted it exactly. Even if the guy in the picture had his hair parted and i wouldnt be parting mine the lady should have cut my hair exactly like the picture and left the styling up to me. After she just did what she wanted she said that his head is shaped different and next time to say what she suggested so the next person could do it right. If she knew she could not do it exactly she should have said something before she started. I just dont understand!!! Now I have to wait three more month for my hair to grow back so I could just do it myself. Promise it will look better and will be what I want. I regret paying her to do what she wanted instead of what I asked. She should have paid me. Also after I said to not cut the top she attempted to cut my bangs. I guess my bad; Ill have to remember top, front, left side, right side, upper back, and lower back of my head!

Went to Sports Clips on Ambassador on 8/3. Was greeted by Jorie a few minutes after signing in. She was very nice and cut my hair exactly how I had asked. I was in and out in under 30 minutes. Would definitely recommend Jorie and the entire staff.

Jansen is the hair stylist we use and he is terrific at his job.

I rated a 9 based upon multiple visits. My last experience however was a 10. 9 for previous visits is because some stylists didn’t notify me that I get a complimentary shampoo because of my Veterans’ Status. I don’t usually get it because I go home after a cut to shower anyway, but some stylists do. My last visit was a 10 (Jo), she cut my hair exactly how I wanted it and made notes at checkout for future cuts. Thank you Jo!

I like to walk in for my haircut. They have a cool system to check in and see where you are and how long you might have to wait. The cut was fine....

Friendly and skilled staff. Relaxing environment, especially if you like watching ESPN, etc. Im not even a big sports fan, I just like the attention and time they give towards a good haircut

I gave it two stars because the place is really nice and well kept and because they offer some nice additional services. Truthfully, when I went in for my first (and last) visit, I felt like the woman rushed my cut and gave me a hackjob. I asked for a 2 on the top and a 1 on the sides (faded) and a line up. She was very quick with the clippers. One side of my head lined up sharply but the other side did not match. She never asked me if I wanted to see the back so when I got home I discovered that the back of my head was not lined at all and the excess that should have been lined up was just patchy. The additional services were cool for a first and last time visit I guess. But overall, my main focus was a quality cut and I got a rushed hackjob.

Service was super slow. Sat there an hour and 40 minutes with only a 17 minute wait and 3 stylist. A guy came in after me and signed in with 2 people, both somehow got haircuts before me.

They have sports on the many TVs throughout the building. Also Renee does a great job. I ask for a certain thing done to my hair and it gets done.

First time at this sports clips. My hair stylist named Ally was pretty rude. She was acting as if me asking for a haircut was an inconvenience. I tried to make small talk with her and she literally ignored just about everything i said. One of the worst customer service experiences Ive had. She was extremely cold and rude. Wont be going back

I was the third person in line and it took me about 26 minutes and 37 seconds to be serviced. This two or three persons on staff at all times. They have eight stations and only two are occupied.

My husband went here for a Haircut he said it was very rushed and set a very low standard, he was extremely disappointed.
