So I moved in recently and the new management company has been great to deal with. Ashley has been responsive and informative during the entire process. The apartment itself is in great condition. The hallways and exterior need a little TLC but I do know that a pressure washing company will be attending to those items this month (July/21). I would recommend these apartment homes to anyone looking in the Charleston area.
When I first moved here these apartments were immaculate. As of right now they are filthy and disgusting. The breezeways are dirty and filled with bugs. The doors are closed and the halls stink. These apartments are not work 1300. The pool is open past closing. No parking for residents because the pool is open for any and everyone. We the residents pay for these amenities for others to enjoy. Run
If you’re looking for an apartment with good value per cost, look no further than anywhere else. When we moved in, the apartments were immaculate. Brand new SS appliances, granite countertops, spacious rooms, and AWESOME community events all at an affordable price. However in the last two years, the community events have dwindled to little more than food truck visits, the amenities have slowly become unusable, and the management has taken a turn as well.My roommates and I have ROUTINELY not been informed of changes or issues within the complex, such as the package delivery service being broken or even a change in the way we PAY OUR RENT. The communication between property management and the residents is basically nonexistent except to tell us that rent it due and that the local food trucks are back. The management staff is pleasant if you go and talk to them and are usually pretty willing to help resolve issues, but the issues are usually a result of them not communicating up front.I’ve also seen plenty of comments about everything in the apartments being fragile and I would 100% agree.Overall not worth the money we pay to live here.
I had a very poor experience here and would not recommend to anyone.Dont expect to get any of your security deposit back. The flooring, paint, and fixtures are very cheap -- basically if you breathe, you have damaged something. We found ourselves placing repair requests for things like our sink and waiting over a week before someone came to look at it and say it was fine twice before it got fixed. Our entire security deposit was kept for painting and cleaning and other repairs of things even though we were responsible tenants.I was also wrongly charged for dog feces they tested on the premises -- in an area of the property that I had never set foot on. When I brought this up, they asked if maybe my dog had gotten out and I didnt know it. (and then let himself back in?) That was $175 I was wrongly forced to pay. I guess I should have done what many of my neighbors did and just not tell the property I had a dog and saved myself from that and monthly pet rent. Also, I have many questions regarding the security of this property. There are no security cameras, no security, and no gate. I was also nervous to be in my apartment after one time when someone unlocked our front door and opened it just a crack before shutting and locking it again. If this was the staff, why would they be entering my apartment, especially without giving us notice? There is no assigned parking so on a weekend, you probably wont find parking even if you are a resident. It always smells like cigarette smoke and weed -- which is probably why the buildings often get evacuated in the middle of the night when all the smoke alarms go off and firetrucks wake you up. Also, be prepared for walls so thin you can clearly hear your neighbors conversations.Amenities are decent but the gym is always full of people that are not even residents of the property -- seems like some people from CSU? The pool was closed for most of the last summer for repairs, even though the property is so new.I have worked as a leasing agent in an apartment complex before and lived on other properties, and this has been the worst by far. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.
If you are looking to live in a risky place, this is the perfect place for you. here you will find people who are going to break your car windows and probably later will start to enter your apartment and put you and your family in danger. The property does nothing to improve the safety of residents.Sad but the truth
The management here is not good. I’ve had multiple problems with them. First, they never answer the phone. I’ve had to call several times and leave voicemails, which is very frustrating when you need help or information. They just don’t care. Jason showed us around and dealt with the lease. He wasn’t very helpful either. He showed us an apartment with a screened in porch, so we thought we’d be getting one. However, he failed to mentioning that not every apartment in that type of style has a porch. So when we actually got our apartment we didn’t have a porch.
Living here was a pleasant experience! The apartment is beautiful and I liked that community always had events! Some of the management was a little weird sometime but overall everything was great!
Just moved in. Very convenient to North Charleston, Summerville, the interstate and anywhere in between you need to go. Quiet grounds, quiet neighbors—no complaints other than why have I not moved in sooner. Definitely see myself staying through another lease or two. Kudos to Lively Indigo Run!
Overall, living at the Lively Indigo run has been a love/hate relationship. We loved the complex, it was new, updated, and very modern. However, upon moving in, we quickly found several major flaws and deal breakers for us. For starters, the staff at the time was unprofessional and unapologetic. We went back and forth with an agent when trying to move is as we were quoted one price with one person and a completely different price with another staff member the next day. We enjoyed working with Dejon, Courtney, and Aubrey. The best decision Lively could make would be to terminate Jason’s professional relationship with the company. In the beginning, he quoted us the wrong price several times; when we came to move in, he simply handed us our keys without even showing us where the apartment was located or even saying welcome, he was supposed to have completed a walk-through of our apartment before we moved in to make sure it was clean for the next family (us), however, upon moving in, the apartment clearly had not been cleaned since the last tenant. There was dog hair all over the unit—even in the fridge— dirty tubs and toilets, dust everywhere, spiders hanging from ceiling and walls. He also parked in the handicapped parking spots regularly without being handicapped himself knowing there were elderly people in the complex who needed those spots, he was overall incompetent of professionalism. Outside of Jason, we also had major issues with the amenities. The gym is by far the best gym in the area… however it was never cleaned… never. I dare you to look under a treadmill or in the corner (any corner). In the midst of a pandemic, there was never soap in the restroom. Your chances of being able to go to the pool are 50/50 as it was closed at least half of the summer. Overall, it’s a beautiful complex that would grab anyone’s attention from a walkthrough, but once you move in, it’s a completely different story.
The apartment was really nice l, it had hardwood floors and granite countertops. Our balcony was amazing and it had a gorgeous view of the pool. The only downside is some management. During the beginning of quarantine when restaurants were even still open my family and I were kicked out of the pool and it was closed for social distancing. But not even a week later the pool was open again for just one day and then closed again the next. They continued to randomly open and close the pool which made it super confusing. I have now moved out and I had 4 packages sent there I couldn’t change the address on because they were in transit already. But the people I have talked with on the phone to help me get my belongings have been super rude and not helpful. So far only 2 of my 4 packages have been found while all of them had expensive designer pieces in them. Specially Jason was super rude about helping me and got very sassy on the phone. I was helped by a much nicer lady before and I just hope she still works there because she definitely is better at customer service. I worked most of the time when I lived there with Da’John and he is amazing in his duties. He always makes sure that the tenants needs are met. All in all the place is super conveniently located, very nice interiors, some workers are better than others, but it is still a good place to live.
Don’t ever live here. Staff does not do their job. They lose packages and don’t care for the people that live here. Staff has been constantly new. Obviously that’s for a reason. Combative leasing staff when you have an issue.
Took a tour at Indigo Run this past week and it was so beautiful! The apartments were GORGEOUS & the amenities were the best I have seen, especially the 2 story gym. Kristin took me around and she was so thorough and pleasant to work with. She answered all my questions before I even asked them. I will definitely be moving here when the time comes later this year!
My wife and I love these apartments. The amenities they have are awesome and they will be adding more. The apartment is clean and spacious, perfect for our small family. The trash pickup makes you feel like a king. Its near the interstate which helps me get to my job faster. Very happy we moved here.
My intial inquiries into this property were met with professional, courteous and prompt responses. Each dealing with the office staff since then has been equally pleasurable. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the apartments, the property is very well-maintained and the location is very convenient. The pool area and gym are truly amazing, and one of the nicest ones, if not the nicest I have seen in this area. Certainly at this price point the nicest. I highly recommend this community.
Nice apartments, cheap rent. However, not military friendly at all. The military clause here states that the 30 days notice starts after the start of the next month, so if you get transferred at the beginning of the month, then you are stuck paying an entire months rent whenever you are not even there. Other than the $1,300 that I am now out of, it was an okay enough place to live.
The staff is fantastic, especially the manager Kristin. She has always gone above and beyond to help with any request that we have asked. Highly recommend living here!
I absolutely love this place. The staff are very helpful, friendly, and attentive to ones needs. Trust ME this is the place you would want to call your home. I am thrilled to finally find a place that exceeds my expectations. I love the Lively Indigo Run
We lived here for 18 months and everything about it was wonderful from start to finish. The office is very professional and friendly. The maintenance is very respo sive to any issues .The grounds are kept up beautifully. We would not have moved but we needed more space with our growing family. We had several packages lost and sent there after we moved and they have been absolutely accommodating even though we no longer live there. You can not go wrong renting here.Courtney,Alexus, and Djean are all awesome.
Brand new to the area and came across this community! Such a perfect location, quick and easy access to everything. Took a tour and I’m in awe of how beautiful it is here! So clean and elegant, can’t wait to move in!!!
My husband & I are SO GLAD we decided to take a tour of The Lively when we were looking for places to move earlier this year. Not only is it breathtakingly beautiful (from the office, to the retreat, the pool, the gym and of course the apartments themselves), but its surprisingly AFFORDABLE considering all the amenities in comes with!DaJohn took us on our tour, and must have shown us 4 apartments before we found THE PERFECT ONE! He was so helpful throughout our entire application process, all the way through our move in! I am so grateful for the entire team at The Lively for consistently going the extra mile to ensure we have the best living experience possible in our closeknit community. Thank you guys for all that you do!
My girlfriend and I were excited to explore this apartment complex, but ended up leaving disappointed. The pool area, gym, and clubhouse were beautiful. Unfortunately, everything else from the apartment to the leasing consultants personality and presentation skills were cheap. The leasing consultant didn’t ask for our names and didn’t offer his when we first met, and this was after sitting in the lobby for 45 minutes waiting for an employee. When we got to the apartment all he did was open the door. He didn’t tell us anything about the apartment. He wouldn’t even offer any general information about pricing until I asked at least 4 times. Every other apartment we visited was eager to offer all of the information necessary for us to make an informed decision. I sure hope that this Leasing Consultant doesn’t represent the entire staff, because it won’t be long until this complex is under new management if that’s the case. I would expect that if a person had worked at an apartment complex since September then they’d at least have some idea on how to do a proper presentation or at least greeting, this was pathetic...If you are looking for the right apartment to call home then check out Mosby Ingleside (Ask for Melinda) and Palmetto Exchange (Ask for Gaby). After a day full of apartment shopping in the area, it is clear that these are the two obvious choices.
Overpriced for small apartments, don’t even have a place for a dinning table .... $2000 for 3 bedrooms apartment where the average apartments around the area are under $1700 with more square footage. Be aware.
Nice staff however if you dont get accepted they keep the hold deposit. They get an additional $200, on top of the application fee, for what? Be aware and apply at other complexes before losing your money.
I live here currently and I’m not paying rent until I talk to whoever the manager and other employees call me. WORST MANAGEMENT EVERRRRRRR
Be warned, my son has been living in this establishment for less than six months and he will be leaving at the end of his contract. He would leave sooner, if their option, to end the lease early wasn’t completely ridiculous! My son is a student and has been kept up late most every night due to the ongoing parties and drunken people at the pool playing loud music. When he has attempted to contact the office to make them aware, they tell him to contact the “Courtesy Officer”, which he has and is pointless as this “Courtesy Officer” doesn’t respond and the disturbances continue. This has caused my son’s academics to suffer, since he is unable to sleep. This place is also a huge drugging area. There have been 2 major drug busts on the property by NCPD since he has lived here and there is drug activity constantly in the parking areas. I myself have witnessed drug transactions happening in the parking lots, to the direct left of the office, in the middle of the day. This has also been brought to the attention of the office but their excuse is “unfortunately crime doesn’t have an address”, which we do understand but the staff in the office will talk to you as if you are incompetent and will make you feel your concerns are unwarranted, especially the “Manager”, who might I add is never there. My son feels unsafe here as well as I do when I come to visit. It may be a beautiful community but it’s a complete nightmare to live here. We have spoken with several of the neighbors who live here and they also have the same concerns plus more. Save yourself the money, dealing with piss poor management and your safety and choose somewhere else to live. Don’t go next door either to Cypress River, as it is owned by the same company and is much worse than here, which we just learned when my husband and I went to view them as an option for our son once his contract ends.
This Community is far beyond Amazing! The quality of apartments they offer, paired with the quality customer service and attention to detail make this the place anyone looking to move in the Ladson/Summerville/North Charleston area your BEST OPTION!! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT ALL!!!
I would not suggest renting anything related to meridian residential. They’re not the most honest company. They will cheat you where they can and are dishonest in charging fees. The materials they use look expensive but are builder grade(just enough to pass code). The granite has long seams and isn’t sealed. For the money you should buy a home. At least you’ll have equity as opposed to just a headache. Don’t get me started on the management...the worst! Stay away! Lease anywhere around them but don’t go to them or cypress river! It’s worse there. The black male leasing agent, can’t remember his name but he says the crudest things to women. A true misogynist.
I moved in 2 months ago and had the walk-thru finished in 2 days. There are items on that walk-thru that still have not bee addressed. I have maintenance requests that still have not been rectified. The apartments are new and they are nice in appearance but when you point any needs they treat you like you are nit-picking. I have paid my rent on time and still do not have full use of my apartment. There are sliders and windows that I cant even open due to missing components. There is a hole in my floor tile that was mentioned in the walk-thru that was not addressed. And when I placed a maintenance request I was told they would have to reach out to the contractor which has yet to respond back. In the mean time for safety reasons I was asked to place a piece of painters tape to cover the whole till they can get the chance to fix it. These are new apartments that I was told someone checked before accepting them from the contractors. Yet simple items like the floor and windows down to the paint in the bathrooms not being water resistant. Yes you heard right, the paint in the bathroom and the wall for that matter, absorb water and are beginning to stain, are missed. There is more I can write down, but this is long enough and I am sure if you read this far, you got the point.
** This is coming from someone who NEVER writes reviews, but I wanted to spare someone the aggravation we have endured. They’re lucky google forces you to give them any stars, they are more than undeserving. This complex does nothing but give the run around to potential residents. It takes them a week to return any calls and there is always a different story from everyone you speak to. You would honestly be better off flushing your application fees down the toilet because you’ll never see them again. Everyone from the manager (Kristen) to the various leasing agents are some of the most incompetent individuals I have ever encountered! There are many apartment complexes in the vicinity that offer better customer service and apartments. Please save yourself an unneccessary headache and look elsewhere.
We just sat in the lobby for almost 20mins after being told someone would be with us shortly. 4 people were working and they were all conversing and browsing the internet but no one ever came to say hello nor address our needs. They just lost a potential resident
The place look great and very attractive but the staff is very disorganized and not ready to lease apartments. We applied and paid for the apartment that they didnt have available.
Great Staff, Great View, Nice Neighbors & ALL the amenities.
No decline bench press in the gym??SAD!
Awesome community and great staff!
