Doesnt enforce mask mandates, which is disgusting when our hospitals are full and disabled people come here. Many machines out of service and at least one shower out of service at all times it seems. They dont notify people the pool is closed for whatever reason until they drive there and try to swim... Not hard to send out a mass member text or app update about the pool being out considering how many come just for that

This is the best gym I have been to. The place is big and has a large variety of equipment.There are multiples of each so wait times are typically low. I rarely have to wait to use a machine.Being a more advanced gym-goer I know what I like and don’t like. LA Fitness has a lot of what works for me while other gyms I have been to don’t have it all.LA Fitness definitely seems oriented toward those who are serious about exercise. This isn’t a place for social hour unlike other gyms I’ve been to. You are there to exercise and move on while maintaining a reasonable amount of socializing without hogging equipment.It’s a relatively quiet gym, and the music they have is the sound of weights clanking (rather than too many voices) which indicates to me that people are working out as they should be at a gym.

Went for the pool area, pool is ok. Hot tub is the same temp as warm bath water, needs to be higher for any real good relation same for the jets. Another customer made the same comment as I was trying it out. Another thing they dont have a dressing room; its divided as lockers, bathrooms, showers.

I was looking for places to get a member ship and when I came to la fitness just to find out prices and stuff I also needed to go to the bathroom but they said it’s for members only and I was like what am I gonna do steal your equipment get a few reps like c mon guys I just needed to go to the bathroom so I will definitely not be getting a membership from this place plus it smelled so bad there. I will recommend planet fitness it has been the best one so far.

Friend customer service. Great place to workout with your own routine. They do have personal trainers for a cost. My favorite workout is the weights/machines first and a full hour of spin class. Excellent spin instructor.

Masks only work if people wear them. Now that the mandate is back, over half of the people in there had a chin strap mask. No one enforcing it whatsoever. Many employees had theirs down too. Like I get if you dont personally care, but the many disabled people that frequent this gym do care. Its the law right now and its your job to enforce it.

Great equipment and workers. Disappointed the face masks are not being mandated once inside the club per the most recent rules. You have to wear a mask to get in but more than 50% of the patrons take them off once they are in. I get taking them off on cardiovascular equipment but u have a bunch of people standing around playing on their phones with no masks on.

The gym is fine but they seriously NEVER EVER clean the bathroom showers, this black mold on the ceiling (and other grout that is 100% within reach so no excuse there) has looked exactly the same for over a month. Worse than a college dorm. Its like they pick up the hair from the shower drains and thats it. Pretty gross.

Never sign anything with this place they honest don’t know their own policies. One person tells you one thing then you get told the total opposite.

Back to normal including showers.

Little far from my home but its a great gym. I have tried almost all the gyms in Olympia/Lacey area but nothing compares to LA Fitness. The staff, equipment and facilities, all are worth the price, which is not bad at all considering some of the expensive gyms around with minimal facilities. The only thing i wish they had were a proper designated enclosed changing areas and not just a locker room.

Been going there for 5 years now. Only gym I know of that has a pool because its easier on my back. Great work out. Very close to my house and just plan fun to go there. You can meet the greatest people...

Love my personal trainer. Very knowledgeable, aware of my limitations and works at my pace. We work together so that I can get the workout I need and deserve at a pace that is not too easy, but wont leave hurt and in pain. After all, Im a senior. This place is great, has a lot to offer for every taste.

Good location. That being said, it’s always crowded I’ve lived around here for about 15 years now and the population has exploded. Very few times during the week that’s this gym is unpopulated. Haven’t tried early AM yet. But I don’t like the layout of having to walk down the middle of the gym to get to locker room. I think they could have a bigger stretching area and some of the machine they have are but useless/never used. They do offer classes i think you have to sign up. I dislike the hours on the weekends not sure why they are shortened. I think they could update some of these weight machines. Also the locker rooms do seem a bit dirty. Could do more deep cleaning seeing as they don’t seem to have cool air in this gym the moist hot air must grow all kinds of bacteria. Everyone is mostly nice if people are acting irritating I just act like I can’t speak English.

Clean. Friendly staff. Members are pretty good at wiping down equipment after use. The only thing is I wish it had more of a functional fitness area.

After reading the reviews, I think the gym experience you have is probably time dependent. I had a great experience. The equipment I needed was available. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I have worked at a gym in the past and overseen the cleaning (at a gym near Bothell, WA...different company), and LA Fitness in Lacey seems to be very clean (although I have not used the locker rooms or pool, because at any gym those are place for bacteria, so I never bother with any gym that I use). It is a smaller gym for a large company, but it’s a nice gym. I think the issue with equipment may have been due to the new year rush? Or perhaps going during peak hours. I like to workout before work or during my lunch break. I know not everyone has that luxury, but it does help with availability. Over all I like this gym a lot. I’ve been sampling local gyms with guest passes to choose and so far this one is one of the better ones. There are a few locally owned ones that are also contenders. Hopefully this review helps someone. If nothing else, use a guess pass and try it out. If it’s not for you, no harm no foul.

Old Chinese proverb: man without smiling face should not open shop. On the plus side, the equipment is good and varied. Except for the leg curl machine (only one) which has people waiting all the time. Please put another one in. The so called trainers dont seem to be too competent. Evidently all that is required is that you know what the machines are called.If I was running that show, the trainers would be competitive bodybuilders or power lifters. Some one who knows what is.

Very clean, well maintained gym! They offer a wide variety of group classes - yoga, spinning, zumba, boot camp etc. There are plenty of cardio and weight equipment. Even during busy times, there are a lot of options available so that you dont have to wait for your favorite machine!

Out of all the gyms in the area, this one sucks marginally less than the others. The pool is nice, the place is reasonably clean, and the televisions arent that terrible.But theyre closed. Theyre always closed. Any time a working professional MIGHT have to go to the gym, theyre closed. Theyre closed early on Friday, on Saturday, and especially Sunday. Theyre closed early for every minor holiday. Its impossible to keep any sort of normal schedule here unless youre an unemployed millennial with nothing to do around noon.And if you miss a payment by one day, they will blow up your phone with calls from random phone numbers from around the country. At least four calls per hour in the morning. I was going to fix my payment card to pay them, but now I will be ending my membership out of sheer spite. Completely unprofessional.

The cleaning Staff at this facility is Incredible, they go above and beyond to be thorough and provide a gym the community can be proud of.Personal trainers are friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful, with equipment and instruction for all interests.LA Fitness has everything you want (parking, pool, courts, sauna, weights, cardio, classes, hours, ALL for a low monthly rate), without anything you dont want ( NO ANNUAL CONTRACT! 😍 )The only thing youll be left asking is, When and Where are they going to build another one?!

Nice place. Clean. Friendly staff. Not super busy/holds a lot of people, which is nice. At least two of every machine, plus a decent number of bench seats. Lots of treadmills but only 4 stair masters. I like it

LA fitness is nice, but staff needs to work on customer service. We called this morning just to ask if they’re open and the person that answered was “Josh” and he was rude . Walked in LA fitness the receptionist needs to work on her customer service skills as well. Why apply for customer service when your customer service doesn’t meet the criteria? We do pay for your bread and butter .

I have attempted going to this gym at different times of the day, it seems as if it is always busy. The other day i went at 4:00pm and not only was every machine i needed taken but there were lines to use each machine. So i figured i could just go swim some laps instead sense i was already there and the pool was packed. Other then that, it is a nice gym.

$25 per month with full access include swimming pool, hot spa and sauna.. nothing to complaint..

Machines are grouped by what body parts youre working on. Nice people, great location with access to major shopping and dining.

Ive been going for a little over a month now and have really enjoyed it so far. The Bodyworks class with Abbey was AWESOME! The pool is a decent size and no kids allowed which helps for sure. My daughter loves the kids klub and theyre good about snuggling my son (10months) Its a great price overall, too. Very clean and big. I do wish they had a suit spinner and a little more privacy in the locker room.

Great staff. Nice machines and weights. Classes and courts all included in membership. The Lacey center seems well taken care of.

This is my go-to gym at the moment. There are other LA Fitness locations closer to my home but when Im commuting this is in a perfect location just off the freeway. It has a full-size pool, 5 racquetball courts, basketball court, cycling class room, open class room and plenty of equipment. The whole second floor is dedicated to cardio machines and there are freeweights and weight machines galore on the main floor with plenty of space to get creative. This is my first time getting personal training since I need help with proper form and also a little extra motivation. Trisha has been wonderfully hard on me and Im ahead of my goals over my first month of training. The staff is wonderful also. Love the facility.

Finally the gym is back! Never thought it would happen!!! Loved it!!

I am giving this gym 1 star because of their daycare. I brought my daughter in once she was 6 months old, and there were a couple of instances that finally made me cancel my gym membership. There were 2 times where they just left her in her car seat during my whole workout. Another time I came in and my daughter was all alone in the infant area crying in the walker, and no one came to get her or see who was at the door for a good 10 seconds. The daycare workers are rude to the kids in front of me, I could only imagine how they talk to them when a parent is not around. The last instance was I went to go work out and exactly 10 minutes after I dropped her off they called me to get her because they couldnt calm her down. I went in and she was crying sitting up with no one to support her (She cant sit fully by herself, she still needs someone behind her because she falls back), the girls were acting like they wanted us to leave but I said I was just going to calm her down and finish my workout. The lady who was very rude told me that if they had to call me to calm her down again then I would have to take her home for the day... of course shes going to cry again if they are going to neglect her. So I cancelled my membership because I dont want people who dont care watching my daughter. This is my first time writing a review but I wanted to let other mothers out there know if theyre thinking of putting their kids on the daycare, I wouldnt recommend it. At least if you have an infant anyway.

I like this gym as it had a lot to offer. However, it would be great if there was more body weight exercise space. The area next to a lot of the body weight equipment is exclusively for those with a trainer. A lot of the classes are good though and enjoyable.

People will always find a reason to complain. The gym is good, in good shape, good equipment, great layout and staff is awesome, has a shake bar that is pretty good, decent cardio area and other stuff. Also had a little day care area as well. Over all good gym and clean

Good gym with really nice staff!

My kids shoes were stolen, security in the kids area is very lazy, just a bunch of little girls looking at there phones. I had to ask for them to check my kid in....I dont think he was really check in, we did not have to check him out. The childcare of seems good when they are trying to sell you, then its back to texting on the phones. My bit of advice is to stop employees from texting in the child care area and watch the children.

The equipment is good, the location is awesome, but I never feel like I can get a good workout in here. The gym is small for how many people use it. When you try to do any kind of circuit or super sets, youll inevitably lose one or two of your machines. Sundays you can spread out. The rest of the week, one place at a time. Wish they had a bigger matted area too. Never any room to sit down and stretch, do sit-ups, etc. Their current area fits 2 people comfortably and is always packed. Not a bad gym at all, just not what I like.

Its a typical LAF. Its got plenty of cardio and strength equipment. It seems like the free weight area usually results in a wait for a bench. Good place for cardio classes; typically bikes of yoga and aerobics.SECURITY: There have been multiple parking lot and locker room thefts here. Leave nothing visible in your car. Lock your locker. There are NO security cameras anywhere here.

Excellent service and bang for your buck! The inside is all in great shape and plenty of room to run around. And you can always bring a guest! Ce la vie!

Very nice people at front desk, clean. The pool area could be nicer--cleaner & updated. Generally, decent people working out--no issues.

If you want to swim, and cant swim at some stupid hour because of work schedule, look elsewhere. Posted class schedules do not include private classes, and are therefore useless in determining when the pool is available. The pool contains 3 lanes. 2 of which are constantly full of people walking, talking, dancing, or anything other than swimming. When a lane is available for swimming, no one wants to circle swim, so that lane gets a maximum of two people. $60/month to swim, and Ive actually gotten to swim 6-7 times in 6 months. Dont plan on swimming anytime between 6 PM - 9 PM during the week or anytime on a weekend.

The staff is friendly and professional. Every time I go I always see a staff member deep cleaning verious machines. It is a clean place. I feel confident leaving my son in the kids club. There is a large play area with a smaller area in the same room to keep babies in.

Great if your into working out in a high school click or nightclub atmosphere. Steroid heads standing around looking for a chance to chest bump each other while eye gropeing your girl with no shame. Wife felt uncomfortable working out! she felt Like a piece of meat hanging above a pack of starving wolves and you see it happen to all the women. Too bad because it was a great club before it turned into a singles meat market.

Very misleading!! Signed up for multi-club membership 3 months ago and paid $49 plus first two months. Discount from $99. BUT was now charged $42 annual fee....which was never mentioned. Talked to manager after having to call multiple times. Guess this must have been in fine print because I dont see annual fee on website either.

I was recently in town and got a guest pass for LA Fitness. Its a really nice gym. Its clean, new and vast - its just a huge room with tons of equipment. I saw everything you could need from weights to barbells to machines.The two things I found to be really weird were 1) no towel service. This is pretty gross to me because people will be less inclined to wipe machines. 2) The pool is right in the open. Meaning its basically in this glass room in the front of the gym. I like some privacy when Im walking around with my gut hanging out. 3) There are no shower curtains in the shower stalls. Am I the only one who likes privacy in the world??

I love LA Fitness. I like the people (even the old people that just sit on the machines), and I love the way it is set up. The price is about the same as the other good gyms in the area, it just feels better. I never feel too close to people like I do at other gyms. However, the staff is terrible. Just awful. There is one good lady at the front who is nice, and a lady who teaches the spin class in the morning is good. Other than that, they have overweight and lazy trainers. On the weekends there is a lady who sits over in the side desk area and just makes personal calls while swearing, and being completely unprofessional.

Expensive and high turnover with staff but they have just about everything you could want as far as exercise equipment goes. No tanning bed.

Good gym. Good vibe, not too many roid heads. It does get crowded during peak times specially from around 4pm-7pm.

I recently rejoined. Since its been six months, instead of expanding their hours, they have cut them. Premera blue cross insurance coverage can give you a discount through their website in youre portal of no sign up fee, and 29. Monthly. I go here because it has a pool and is so close t ok home. Not really any other options available when I need the swimming.

Great childcare service... Clean and has all the machines and weights I need. Would have gotten 5 if they didnt add another initiation fee if you want a trainer.

Would like to be able to get in the hot tub but the same group hog it up.

Its your average big gym. It has a pool but no spinner to dry a bathing suit. It has a Jacuzzi but its usually crowded and its almost hot enough and almost deep enough. There are fitness classes and yoga but they happen so rarely Ive never attended. There are enough cardio machines but too many are in need of maintenance.There are enough lockers but not enough benches. There is a dry sauna but no steam. There are hair dryers but you have to stand in the walk way to use them.Its adequate but no more.

This is my 3rd LA Fitness from relocating and by far superior.. The staff and management are excellent and so friendly/accommodating.

Gym allows persons to walk on main floor in socks or barefoot no enough equipment mon thru wed with flow of traffic. lat machines are not good for height advantage people. a number of strollers. saw a guy dressed in skirt n blouse and just walk around lifting area not doing anything but admire himself in mirrors got in way of lifters then went up to balcony n got on stationary bike. staff did nothing. again staff does nothing when a guy walks completely barefoot on the main floor, does he have staff or any other junk on his feet.

I have been working out here for 2 years and the front desk staff has always been very kind, but the training staff, especially the training manager, is beyond rude. I dont feel comfortable at this gym any longer. They dont care about their members or how they feel. That is not the kind of environment I want to be around. I do not recommend this gym to anyone.

DO NOT BECOME A MEMBER HERE! Being a military family when I signed up I was told oh no worries when you PCS you can freeze your account, at NO cost! Went to freeze my account today, in the confirmation Email it said Im being charged $10 per month of the freeze duration! I called, told them I was told the incorrect information by their staff member. The guy on the phone DIDNT DO ANYTHING! THIS FACILITY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU! The guy on the phone tonight was NOT professional, lacked empathy and AT THE VERY LEAST should of asked what employee gave me the MAJORLY INCORRECT INFORMATION so this would not happen to another customer. Instead I get told oh well PS This gym is filthy!Update : From the other reviews, I see that Shar gets negative reviews. After meeting with her the next day after the horrible in counters I had with the staff I feel it only right to state: Shar is the ONLY good thing Ive in countered with this establishment. From interacting with her today, I can firmly say she may come across as strict to others, but realize she does not make the rules, but she sure as heck follows them! Understand she is merely setting an example for her staff. This establishment is lucky to have her - treat her well cause shes the only good thing about this place!
