Beautiful area surrounded by mountains, very secluded, but unfortunately very hot area to be in, the highest it got was 115 degrees, the pool helps slightly with the heat, they have numerous pools you can enjoy including an area for children. The inside was beautiful, big rooms and bathrooms. They provide a lot of things for you in the kitchen like pots, pans, and spices. They have cable TV and firestick so you can watch TV and movies. Spent majority of my trip inside because it was way too hot maybe I would come back in the winter but definitely would not go back during the summer.

I’m sad to be posting this review, because I really wanted to enjoy my stay here. I did a lot of research on this hotel/resort and a few others before booking my stay. The plan was to spend a few days in La Quinta and just absolutely zen out. I picked this resort because there are so many different amenities and luxuries available on site. I liked the fact that I wouldn’t have to leave much. My stay was reserved from the 27 of may to the 31st. The first night went very very well. It was so quiet and serene. The room was very clean feeling, the property itself is absolutely stunning, parking was a breeze. It was all going well. The second day started off well. Their biggest pool where you can lounge under cabanas is by far the busiest. There are numerous pools on the property, my one complaint is not having enough shade. They had some umbrellas near the pools but they don’t do much to shield you from the sun and heat. It was about 100 when I was there. I was a very short distance from a pool that was completely empty and I thoroughly enjoyed that. That day I spent mostly out and about exploring La Quinta, when I returned back to my room, I noticed the resort was quite busier that it was the night before. I assumed that it was because of Memorial Day. Initially it was okay, but I did notice some rather noisy guests had checked in across from my Casita. They were playing music on a speaker and their kids were playing right in the communal space outside the casita. A couple hours later, someone checked in in the Casita above mine. I was taking a bath at 10 when I really noticed them. I don’t know if this was more how they were walking or more about how thin the floors were but it seemed as if they were stomping from 10pm to midnight. I mean stomping. The walls would shake, the shower door would rattle, the ceiling fan would even rattle. It was unbelievably loud. At one point at about 11:30, I reached out to management and let them know. They said they would notify the guests and ask them to keep it down. It did quiet down for a short time, and then started right back up again and went until about 12:30am. On the 29th, well, that entire day was MISERABLE. Across from me, directly above me, and above me to the left all of the guests knew each other. They were throwing a party all day long. Extremely loud amplified music, yelling and loud voices, doors slamming, stomping. I mean, it was just miserable. I really was not trying to be difficult or high maintenance, but I came to this resort specifically to relax, and when everyone around you is partying it is very very difficult. When I first booked, they ask you to go over the policies, I believe you even sign something to acknowledge them, one of the policies is a noise ordinance which they say is enforced. I was in contact with management a lot. I didn’t expect no noise, but certainly them to keep it down. At least for the loud music and yelling to stop. It was a battle I wasn’t going to win. I reached out to management, and spoke initially to Dan. Dan’s response did not impress me. His exact words were, “This building was actually built better than 99% of the hotels out there but people are going to celebrate a little with their families on a big holiday weekend.” This was not a “little” celebration. And had I known I would be competing with amplified music, yelling and loud voices, and stomping until midnight two nights in a row, I would have chosen a different resort. I reached out to Michelle who generally has been easier to deal with. She apologized and said she would refund me for Sunday night. I tried to stay out of the resort for the majority of that evening so I wouldn’t be so annoyed, and every time I came back, I felt pushed out by the guests. I felt uncomfortable. Checked out the next day. Very disappointing stay. Miserable. I wanted to love it, but my experience was just awful.Update: sad to see owners are taking such a negative and defensive stance to me sharing my experience.

Gate lady (guard) was the absolute worst I’ve ever dealt with. She tried to call the police within 45 seconds of me being at the gate while trying to find/get parking for my reservation. Made me feel dirty for renting a villa to stay in over the weekend. This is NOT the la Quinta resort. And frankly, the only forward-facing staff was unprofessional and blatantly aggressive. I don’t recommend.

Not Covid safe AT ALL. No one wears masks and there was a huge non covid safe wedding on the premises. If you care about your safety and believe in the pandemic, do not go here.

We had a wonderful stay at this 3 bedroom, 3 bath property in La Quinta. The Legacy Villas complex is quiet, wonderfully landscaped and convenient. It was a quick drive from LA and we got to soak up some sun and lots of pool time. Even during social distancing, we felt comfortable with the space at the pools and their cleaning efforts to ensure safety. We definitely recommend this spot for your next getaway.

7/2020: This was our first stay at this resort. We’ve been coming out here for 4 decades and have our set places we stay. However, with Covid restrictions, we’ve had to change some plans.Pros: Large complex, clean, large units, large bathrooms, large patios, private entrances, private garages, large main pool area with large kiddie pool/splash pad/large adult pool (snack shack shut down for summer), lots of satellite pools, beautiful mountain backdrop (view from some unit patios).Cons: really, nothing worth commenting about.This is an excellent resort choice for this area. Lots of restaurants, shopping, grocery stores within a 10 minute drive. Very safe community.

We stayed here for a horse show and all really enjoyed it. The place is clean, the grounds are beautiful and the pools feel private. Our unit had three bedrooms and the layout was very nice for privacy with one master at one end and the other master on the opposite side. Everything is updated and clean. I would bring your own condiments. The price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend.

THE BEST! My family and I have been staying at the Legacy Villas for years. The location is perfect as are the grounds and pools. And those mountains are just amazing. The units are dreamy, well stocked, clean, spacious. A true home away from home. Value for the dollar is hard to beat. Dont look anywhere else.

We were six golfers and this is our fourth trip to the Palm Springs area. We stayed the last two at Legacy Villas, including late January, 2018. This was by far the best location we have tried. The location in La Quinta is great for access to very good golf courses and very fine restaurants. The complex itself is very nice, clean and aesthetically pleasing. Our condominiums were roomy, clean and had the necessary amenities. I wish I could say that we tried the pools and other common areas, but we golfed all day. The pools and hot tubs looked great and were well located. All and all, a very nice place to stay; secure, quiet and very comfortable. Highly recommended. We plan to stay there again on our next PS trip. Dan and his staff have got it right.

We love Legacy Villas! There are plenty of pools and the vibe is very friendly. We have stayed here probably ten times. The location is great. The units are perfectly stocked and comfortable. The managers of the units we have recently stayed in have been fantastic, accommodating and very organized. We hope to return soon to this beautiful resort.

Ive stayed in this private gated development twice now and am looking forward to staying here again. The main pool is fantastic (4-star resort quality) and they have a number of smaller, more private pools scattered throughout the complex. And youll want easy access to a pool, especially if youre staying there in the summer as I do. It gets really hot...but how would you want it when youre poolside! They have a nice gym too.The two units Ive stayed in have both been outstanding...very clean with all the modern amenities and everything in perfect working condition. The units I stayed in both had washers and dryers.The resort is nestled right up against the mountains which also makes for some dramatic sunsets.This place is a great value. You wont be disappointed!

King size Casita with private dug in Jacuzzi? Worth Every Penny. Love the privacy option, adult pool was heated to what felt like 90-95 and customer service was awesome.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Legacy Villas. It was quiet and relaxing for the most part, with several salt water pools and hot tubs to choose from. We appreciated being able to use a quieter pool away from the noise of the large family use area. At the popular pool for families, they offer food service pool side and cabanas. There is a hammock area offering a quiet place to completely relax and unwind. Unfortunately, it was often interrupted by families putting their young children on - finding it amusing to use them as swings. Young ones started crying and screaming soon enough, while the accompanying adults laughed so that those sleeping or quietly reading were unnecessarily awoken and loudly interrupted. Not very respectful. A separate play area set well away from the villas and hammock grove would be a great idea and enhancement for families. The villas and grounds are lovely and property is well managed and secure.

This unit was perfect! It is situated right up against the sacred rocks and has amazing views and light. It is well appointed including an incredibly comfy couch! All beds were high grade and kitchen had everything we needed. Additionally the hosts are very quick to respond to questions, welcoming, and kind! I highly recommend this lovely Legacy town home to anyone seeking refuge with close proximity to everything in La Quinta!

Stayed here with my two kids and absolutely loved it. Highly recommend for families for some fun in the sun and for a relaxing time. I wish I could come back every weekend as it is only 2 hours from LA.The resort was very clean and the rooms were immaculate. The pools are great and even have a childrens area for the kids to play. Dan was very responsive and check-in and check-out was so easy. Highly recommend!

Just got back from a much needed family vacation! Dan & Whitneys Villa is an absolutely beautiful place to stay! The location is great and the Villa was perfect...clean, spacious and well equipped. The grounds are beautiful and our kids had the BEST time at the pool! Perfect for families and groups. Close proximity to great shopping, spa, golf and dining! Whitney and Dan are so easy to communicate with and very responsive! Highly recommended!!!! Cant wait to go back!

This place is a bit of heaven on earth! Intentionally designed, beautiful to the eye and fills the soul. My husband has been in a wheelchair for 15 years and traveling can be very stressful, this is the one place we go where we know we wont have any worries with facilities, and layout of the condo or grounds. We are grateful for such a wonderful experience every time we visit!

Absolutely incredible place to stay. The villas are very nice, VERY spacious, modern, and stocked with everything one would need. The property sits at the base of a desert mountain range, which makes for some stunning views. The grounds are gorgeous and meticulously maintained, and the pools are heated to a perfect temperature, as is the jacuzzi. We really enjoyed the two large pools and well as the smaller ones that sit behind the villas. It is so quiet and serene that youd think youre in a remote desert location, yet its so close to retail, restaurants, grocery stores, movie theaters, and anything else we needed. It definitely is a lovely place for families and couples alike, and we look forward to returning.

A great resort for the whole family! We were so impressed with our private villa which included all the great amenities we were looking for. The place was very clean and situated in a private gated community with easy access to the market, restaurants, and shops. We cant wait to book our next stay!

We just returned from a week stay and I wish we were still there! The pool areas with cabanas are blissful and our 3 year old daughter loved the mini splash park at the main clubhouse. The clubhouse restaurant wasnt open during our visit but that would be an added bonus. This place is complete relaxation and loved the location. We will be back!!

Beautiful the owner of condo want well beyond what was expected. 5 star experience- eateries less than 5 miles, swimming pool walk around the corner and community treated us as family seeing no colors. A lifetime opportunity which is affordable to anyone.

I stayed here recently and couldnt have been more pleased. The entire resort is beautiful and maintained in a top notch manner. The pools, the little cafe, the size of the villas and how spotless the entire place is was just fantastic. Cant wait to get back again!

We come here in the off-season when its less crowded. The place is beautiful and there are a bunch of different pools and hot tubs scattered around the area to choose from. There is a spray park and shallow pool that our little ones loved. In the off-season, the on grounds eatery is closed but its still very well maintained. Its close to multiple stores and restaurants if needed but once you are inside the resort.... you feel miles away from everything :-)

We stayed here for a horse show and were delighted with the place. We rented a 2 bedroom/2 bath condo and everything was wonderful and clean. The pools were wonderful and it was close by to numerous restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

As always, the villas here are wonderful. Theres always a pool and spa near the room that are beautiful and spotless. The villa was also spotless. Ill be back soon. x

The unit and the property are well maintained. We enjoyed our stay and expect to return. Two suggestions: 1) Add a couple extra towels in one of the closets or cabinets for optional use, and 2) consider providing a microwave in the studio units.

The Villa we stayed in was beautiful. Clean, furnished nicely, everything we needed was right here. LA Quinta is a beautiful area. I loved looking out the kitchen window and seeing the mountains right there. All in all, a great place to stay.

We absolutely loved our time here - our villa was beautiful and spacious, and we especially loved the full kitchen and lovely patio with table, lounge chairs and grill. If I had to make one suggestion, it would be that the small poolside market expand its hours, for those later afternoon cravings, but other than that, it was perfect.

We came to watch the Indian Wells Tennis and stayed in one of the one bedroom villas. Room and facilities in general were very well maintained and the grounds of the community are meticulously kept. Our room was on the second floor with views of the pool. Check in was a breeze and Legacy Villas personnel were very responsive to any questions we had.If youre looking for a quiet, safe, comfortable place to stay while visiting the La Quinta area, Id highly recommend.

We stayed in one of Legacy Villas 3 bedroom units and it was perfect for two families to share! Great layout and space, fantastic pool and hot tub right outside our door, so it was super easy to keep our eyes on the kids at all times - very convenient to shops and restaurants, too! Highly recommend!!

I cannot recommend this place more! We stayed in 77-798 Herritage Dr. for 4 nights and 5 days. I wish it would have been longer! This beautiful property could not have been more perfect. It was so immaculately clean it was surprising. The beds were extremely comfortable and well made. The bathrooms were very spacious and it was great to relax in the spacious tub. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need to cook a nice dinner or whip up lunch (which we did twice, even used the grill!).The grounds themselves were so well kept. There were many pools throughout the resort but the main one has nice cabanas and several pools within the gates. The guards at the front were incredibly nice and helpful during our stay too.

We came with a large group on short notice and Dan and Michelle were wonderful to work with. The property was absolutely amazing and the PacMan arcade was SO WORTH IT! Hope we are able to come stay again soon!

The Legacy Villas property is beautiful and pristine, we really loved spending time and the clubhouse pool. But the house we stayed in needed a facelift . The dining furniture was dirty, the kitchen was short on glassware and lacking some basic equipment - no bottle opener!? However the owner was quick to respond when the fire wouldnt light and the outside light needed fixed. There are so many vacation rentals on the property, if we were to book again wed avoid this place.

Love Legacy Villas! This is a great place to stay if you have a small or large group and want a full kitchen in your place. Legacy doesnt have the amenities of La Quinta Resort, but is great if you prefer to BYO food and drink. Keep in mind that these places are privately owned so the condition and furnishings of each unit can vary from place to place.

Absolutely wonderful spot. Walking distance to La Quinta resort and close to many many good restaurants and shopping. Grounds were clean and peaceful. We will return many times over to this awesome oasis.

Beautiful property and extremely well maintained. It feels like you are at a Ritz-Carlton. The 3-bedroom unit we rented was adjacent to the main pool and the bonus was that we had a private lap pool right behind us too. The hammocks throughout the courtyard were fantastic for late night star gazing. I will definitely return!!!

The Villa we stayed in for the weekend was great! We rented it through Airbnb and Ill just say the pictures dont do the Villa any justice. It was a great stay all around from the check-in instructions to the end of our stay.

I stayed at Legacy Villas with my wife and child. My daughter had so much fun in the pool and turtle fountains. The units were immaculate and the furnished villas were spacious and relaxing! We will definitely be going back again. Highly recommended !

This is a wonderful, clean and comfortable place to stay! The staff is very accommodating and get back to you very quickly. I would have given 5 stars, but our villa just had a few things that needed tending to. 1. The dishwasher door was loose, so when you went to open it, it would drop suddenly, and make a loud noise. 2. The safety box was not working. 3. It was difficult getting the lights on. Although the switches were well marked, the lights did not turn on in the master BR, and only 1 of the 2 lamps in the 2nd BR turned on. So, you had to manually turn on the lamp, and one lamp, the switch was broken. And just a side comment, they could use more hangers in the closet, as one BR did not have a dresser. Other than that, it is fully stocked for a comfortable stay in a beautiful place!

Christmas in La Quinta! We rented two Legacy Villas units. The three bedroom was large enough to have the whole family enjoy a holiday meal. Kitchen was stocked with every cooking utensil we needed. Such a relaxing place with many things to do - including swimming, walks to Old Town La Quinta (great coffee!) and a meal down the street at La Quinta Resort. We rented the unit with a handicapped bathroom (which worked out perfectly for my mother) and we found a great company in Palm Desert (In&Out mobility) to rent an electric wheelchair so she could wander the beautiful grounds!We look forward to making our 3rd holiday trip to Legacy Villas again in December.

Nice place to stay for a week! We found the condominium on VRBO and are more than satisfied. Nice pools and hot tubs. Quiet setting, all around pleasant experience!

Back again! Dan always has everything taken care of BEFORE we walk through the door of Legacy Villas so our family can begin vacation immediately. We can each chose our activities for the day (swimming, naps on hammocks, gyms) and regroup for stay-in dinner or out to one of the various local restaurants. Looking forward to coming back in December.

This was are second stay in this unit and we will be back. Its our favorite quiet weekend getaway location. The pools are clean and the resort grounds are very nice.

What a beautiful resort! Tons of pools, gorgeous mountainous scenes, lots of water fountains and plenty of grapefruit trees to pick some fresh fruit from! Our family had a wonderful time here!

We stayed for three nights and I have to say the complex is beautiful and well maintained. It is also very secure. We stayed in a Classic Villa and it was like having a second home. The unit only had a Queen bed that was a bit rough but everything else was good. We had a quiet pool right outside our unit. That is a big deal if you dont have kids. The main pool was crazy. It had way too many kids, everyone playing different music and people get out there early. Im so glad we didnt have a unit over the pool or I would have never slept in.

Very comfortable, beautiful and home like.. we will be staying here again. I highly recommend this place.....

The room that we stayed in was very nice. Very clean as well. We did have a shortage of blankets, however. And the pull-out mattress was not comfortable. All of the beds in the bedrooms were cozy. Nice staff as well. The whole place is like a maze so its easy to get lost or navigate around.

Holiday visit here, grounds pretty but terrible rental service co called California vacation villas. Our rental was missing light bulbs very dirty floors. Cockroaches all over when we walked in. Everything was broken inside the unit. I dont think this complex is being managed properly. Pools are very nice large swimming area for kids. Overall the condition of the rental was our biggest takeaway- fridge not keep items cold

Very nice, clean everything needed was included. It was very quite. The kids had lots of fun. I recomend it 100%. Plan on going back soon.

The grounds here are beautiful, the accommodations are very comfortable and inviting. Everything seems to just say slow down and take it all in. We spent time just chillin in the main pool and adjacent spa during the day and at night, dining at one of the fine restaurants in the area, and there’s lots to choose from. Treat yourself to something really nice and book a stay here you won’t be disappointed. Ask for Dan or Michelle, when you make your resevation..... total professionals!

My husband first discovered Legacy Villas through a google search when he was planning our family getaway for Memorial Day back in 2011. When we showed up we could not believe what how world class the resort was and what an incredible value it was. We have been Legacy zealots ever since. The facilities and architecture are so new and stylish, the grounds so vast and serene, the location against the red rocks so unique and private, and the weather so warm and peaceful! We go there every chance we get now. Its really hard to believe you can get this level of luxury accommodations for as little as $20 per person per night when you book through Legacy Luxury Rentals. They also have the best available selection of villas at the resort and are really focused on providing a 5-star experience.

Great getaway with amenities on site, walking distance to La Quinta Resort (for breakfast on the knoll), and a real community feel with friendly neighbors and guests everywhere. Highly recommended!

We absolutely LOVE this place- There is no more relaxing and enjoyable setting that we have found- Riding around the immaculate gardens at dusk is probably the most peaceful experience we have had- The accomodations are luxurious and comfortable, and there is NOTHING like enjoying a drink or two with friends while grilling up some shrimp or lobster while the desert breeze blows through the palm trees- We will continue to stay here no question about it-

Rooms and product was as great as advertised. Palm desert is obviously hotter than other locations but as long as you keep that in mind, its a wonderful getaway

My amazing husband surprised me with a weekend at Legacy Villas. It was everything a could have wanted. Next time we are definitely brining the whole family.

Nice accommodations, but very hard for newcomers/ visitors to find your unit: everything looks the same, and numbers on only one side of the building. Not visitor friendly.

The property management company switched our room several days before our arrival because the A/C wasnt working. It was the same room layout and not far from our original request. The pics online do a nice job of representing the room and amenities, and although we didnt have a full kitchen, the cabinets were well-stocked with basic supplies (plastic-ware, corkscrew, coffee filters, plates, napkins, etc...). Strong wi-fi connection in the room and nice mountain view from the large balcony. The pool areas were very clean and the secure grounds well-kept. I dont feel that with the $85 cleaning fee we should be responsible for taking out our garbage but overall, a very pleasant stay.

A very big condo. It has a garage and 10ft ceilings. 3 bedrooms that each have their own bathrooms with bathtubs and standup showers. Access to Multiple pools and hottubs that are a short walk.

Dont stay here. AVOID We wish we had looked at other options. Very dark inside. Kitchen is outdated & furniture very old. We came home at night after dinner and found people sitting on our patio drunk. No security in place &we were not happy with the mess they left. Pools are not full with water almost below the numbers signs.

We rented a three-bedroom unit during the BNP Paribas open. The community is so beautiful and well maintained with great spanish architecture, exposed beams in the ceiling, and blue window panes. Very cute. The three bedroom unit was perfect for a family vacation of two families, and perfectly stocked that you can get set up and start your vacation in no time. The unit is so spacious and well laid out that both families feel like they have their own space, while the living room, kitchen and dining rooms are large enough to host everyone. The unit was perfectly located in the community, right near the fountain so we could fall asleep to the sound of water every night. There are plenty of pools to choose from. The cabanas at the main pool are great for hiding out from the sun while the kids splash in the pool.
