I had a perm done with Mary, after not having one in over 20 years. She was great! Super friendly and my perm looks AMAZING! It was my first time at the salon and I felt very comfortable there. I already scheduled another service! Do yourself a favor and head over to Out of the Blue! You wont be disappointed!
I came here for a microdermabrasion treatment. I had been wanting to take better care of my skin but didn’t know where to start or who to turn to. Cathy took amazing care of me and my skin. She is amazingly knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. My skin has never felt this soft & fresh! I will definitely be coming back & recommending this place to others!
Worst salon experience I’ve ever had. Isabel did my hair and didn’t even bother to take the existing faded, patchy color that was already in saying she “hoped it would cover it”. The process was painful as she just tangled my hair while putting the color on then ripped it apart trying to make different sections. She barely cared about what color I wanted and had me pick from a very small selection of shades. She was also working on two other people so she was rushed and distracted. My hair has now faded into red on top and a brown green (from my previous semi-permanent color I had told her about) on the bottom in only TWO WEEKS. I could have done a better job at home.
Just moved out here looking for new spot for hair care, and tried it out! Glad I did, bc Erica did an amazing job on my hair! I have long thin straight hair, so I just wanted a trim with long layers and my bangs styled, and she made it look healthy and bouncy, the layers look great! They do all kinds other wild styles and colors and can get an appointment same day ! And very nice staff, I definitely recommend this place!
Went last week for just a change and Isabel knocked it out of the park! The results were way better than I imagined theyd be! I was really impressed by the time she took and how precise she was. Thanks again Isabel!

I started getting my eyebrows shaped here last year. Before that I would either do it myself (horrible) or got to one today for those nail places that just rip the hair out and dont focus on shape. Cathy does such an excellent job! She takes her time and makes sure it looks perfect before you leave. My eyebrows have never looked better. And she is super sweet and nice to talk to.

Worst experience coming here. I had scheduled an appointment for a regular haircut with Isabelle. She was late to the appointment and immediately rushed through rinsing my hair, practically pulling and scratching my hair and scalp. As I sat through our consult in regards to my haircut I showed her 2 images of what I wanted my hair like. She rushed through the consult while combing my hair and yanking it while brushing it. Needless to say we discussed my haircut for 3 minutes tops. (I have had consults about my haircut in the past for longer that 10 minutes) My hair is really thick and i had voiced to Isabelle I didnt want short hair because it tend to puff up and hard to control when its short. She repeated ok thats fine I know what you want I mentioned I had a bob in the past that I liked but was not a fan of maintenance due to my thick hair so i wanted to stay away from the bob look. She faced me away from the mirror and began chopping my hair off without even parting it like it has been in the past. Once I saw how awful she had cut my hair I immediately told her it was too short and that I didnt want it this short. She saw how upset i got and told me that this was all my fault because I showed her images of women with short hair. She insisted on fixing it, but while I ran my fingers through my hair I noticed uneven cuts. I was upset and began to cry due to the fact that I had been trying to grow out my hair but in 10 minutes it got all chopped off. She never apologized or even tried talking me into possibly fixing it, and even if she did I wouldnt let her touch my hair again. She was upset about me not letting her finish but at this point all I kept hearing was that this was my fault for showing her wrong images. I walked out trying to pay her half of what she was charging, she stormed out to me saying i would have to pay full price and that it was my fault for not letting her finish. I refused to pay for her full service but did offer her half. She threatened to call the cops and take me to court if I didnt pay the full amount. She stated she had done this with another client in the past and she wouldnt hesitate to do this with me. So she clearly has messed up other people hair in the past. I stormed out of her salon without paying since she didnt want to take the money I offered her. All around BAD SERVICE do not go here, and after reading several reviews afterwards I wish I would of never came here.

Nice people but this was the WORST haircut ever! (Go to the images and you will see the picture I posted. I have on a purple shirt and have ombré hair.) To start off.. My hairstylist was late. Once we got into the haircut she kept dropping her utensils... I wish I would have taken a photo but I am not exaggerating when I say she used all of her Combs on me because she dropped every single one of them. Im talking like seven Combs! She pulled up a rolly chair and SAT DOWN while cutting my hair which I have never ever seen done before. Ive always been raised to the hairstylists height but this lady stooped down to the level of my hair and would get up to move around my head and bend down to cut it. Long story short, the haircut was awful and took TWO hours. She kept yanking my hair instead of calmly brushing out the knots and I ended up having a headache and an horrific haircut. I voiced my disappointment the minute she finished and she tried to fix it but the damage was already done. In order to get this fixed I will have to go way shorter than I ever anticipated. I am beyond disappointed in this salon and will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Granted she told me if I had any more issues with my haircut that she would fix it but Ive repeatedly tried calling them and they never answer.. go ahead and call them yourself youll see... Even besides that, I just dont have the confidence that she can actually fix it. Once again, I do NOT recommend.
I have been seeing Mary for several months now and Im impressed everytime she does my hair! we have taken in from long to short every couple weeks. I love the time she puts into making sure I feel happy when I leave!Ive been to so many hairstylist over the yrs,but everytime I had to do something myself to fix it! I want everyone to know; Mary is the absolute best hairstylist Ive had in 24yrs!!!!
Great staff and impressive skills. Cathy is just a wonderful person in general and I couldnt say more about her personally and professionally.

Terrible experience. I went in for hair extensions and was recommended tape ins by a stylist. I paid $400 and had half fall out within the first week.. when I went back and spoke to the salon owner she said I would have to pay $150 for microbead extensions (what she recommended) but she would apply them for free. I really wanted extensions at the time for a wedding so I went ahead and did it. They were horrible!!! I went in the day of my appointment-on time- and waited an hour before she had time for me. She came over and told me they werent ready and asked me to handwash the dye off of them myself in the back room! When she put them in they were still wet and she kept tugging at the hair causing unnecessary split ends from all the brushing!! At the end of my wear from those extensions the dye had worn off and extensions went from dark brown to a pinkish red. Out of the blue has incompetent hair stylists that are not trained for anything more than a simple haircut. I wasted so much money and time at that salon.

I am the owner of Out of the Blue Salon. I am responding to a wretched review from Ivy Cantu, and would like to clarify this unfortunate situation.Ivy received the original service on February 21st 2015, tape in extentions performed by Hayley, on her last day of employment at Out of the Blue Salon. Our computer report shows she payed $75.00 with a $25.00 tip.She called the next week and was very unhappy and explained the tape in hair was all falling out. I agreed, and also felt that the service was poorly done. I do not offer tape in. I provide a completely different type of extention that is designed to provide more of a long term wear. I explained to Ivy that Hayley was no longer working for us, and I was very upset that she preformed this service and didnt inform her, any type of extentions require maintenance, and Hayley left her with no option to aquire any repairs, or return service, or a refund of a poor service, etc. I also explained that Hayley was an independent stylists who rented a chair from us. We didnt get any type of commission from this service and dont handle or access any of her income.I offered to correct the problem, of course. I am very passionate about what I do. It is very important to me to do our very best to accommodate our clients. I want everyone to be happy, and to feel good about there hair.So, I continued to explain that the micro beed extentions I provide are specially ordered for each client, I match the hair and custom blend the extensions to match each client. We do not keep the hair in stock because it is a very specific, specialty item. it is also very expensive..... I had previously ordered extentions for another client. I offered to push back my client and use the hair I had, because Ivy had a special event and was going out of town that week. I told Ivy she would have to pay $150 for the hair, which is less than half of the whole sale cost, because I felt bad for the inconvenience she had experienced and was trying to be nice. She agreed and we made an appointment on March 5 2015. unfortunately we happened to have a bad weather day and the schools were closed, I have kids and I had to stay home. I rescheduled for the next day on the 6th. that was the only other day she could come before going out of town. unfortunately for me I had a dental appointment the morning of March 6th. I had an infection and had to have a root canal. my appt ran over, I had no control over. I was in horrible pain and sick from the medicine after the root canal, but I came into work for Ivy because it was important to me to correct the situation.on top of everything I then had to color the extentions to match Ivys hair. then apply the extentions. it definitely took long than anticipated, but we got the service done. It looked great. she was happy with the results. I charged her $150. and she tipped me $25.00. I told her if she had an issues to please let me know. its never a big deal to adjust anything.I have several clients with the same micro beed extentions that have kept them in the hair for over a year. I have no issues withthe integrity of the hair, unless there was something preexisting, and no scalp issues other than a little soreness. which is to be expected when putting extra weight onto the scalp.I find that Ivy Cantu is very inconsiderate and rude, and has taken this situation totally out of context. it is obvious that she is very immature. There is never any excuse to insult people you do not know, or insult other stylist who were not involved.It is absolutely disgusting to result to name calling, bashing, personally insulting people who are trying to go out of there way to help you.And what tops it all off this girl waited 5 MONTHS before she posted this horrible review!
I’ve been going to Out on The Blue Salon for few months now. I recently had breast surgery and I’m unable to wash my hair. I text Isabel asking if she could wash and blow dry my hair. Not even ten minutes later she come on ❤️ Thank you for going above and beyond your services for me.
