Wonderful, took my little old singer portable sewing machine to Sew and vac on Broadway. They had my little machine fixed in no time. Thank you.
Very helpful, good people. They had the part I needed at a fair price.
Went in for a sewing machine problem, got it fixed a day later when Steve was in, and left with a yearning to start quilting . The lady showed me all the tricks you could do on a sewing machineand answered the questions I had as a beginner sewer. Love this place! These pics are not my work, theyre on display or being worked on by others and I thought looked amazing.
I had the joy of visiting Sew ‘N Vac a few months ago with my mother in law. She had tinkered with her sewing machine and gotten the settings mixed up so we took it in for service. The owner, Steve Osborne, remembered trading with her over a decade ago, she trader her mother’s old quilter for a new sewing machine. Osborne looked it over and fixed the settings and replaced a missing foot and refused to take any money for the service. He was just taking care of a customer. In fact, when asked what his personal motto was, he replied “I just try to treat any customer just like I treat my mom or dad.”
Professional and knowledgeable. I enjoyed my shopping experience with them.
This place is amazing. Theyre ready to help and be there for their customers. Theyve done so much for me and my machine, making sure that everything is tip top shape. Highly suggest!!
I had a problem with my machines new presser feet. Steven and Shirley searched high and low for a new one. I had a blond moment. Steven showed me how to move the needle. Now it works great.
I will NEVER use this place for service on my Brother machine again. They told me they would have it for 2 weeks and had it for 6 week couldn’t fix my problem but still charged me $500 my machine was not maintenance well at all. I now have a worse problem than I had to start with. They are not a brother dealer and I didn’t know until after I left my machine. He kept telling me he wanted to take it to his sister in Alabama who is a brother dealer and I refuse to do that. 😡
They have the best help when you are in need of getting your sewing machine back in working order again and again. They are super GREAT 🙏🙏🙏 Thank You
The worst experience every had with a repair/service. I highly recommend no one use this store. Took my vacuum in over a month ago and picked up today. Was charged full price for the service, nothing was done on the vacuum. Nothing was cleaned or serviced and the technician had to put together the vacuum as I was waiting on in the store after I called to tell them two days prior I was picking it up.
This dealer is no longer a certified brother repair technician. He took my embroidery machine to fix a problem with the machine not recognizing the hoop. I live 45 minutes away and made a total of SIX trips to his store. Not only did he not fix my machine but it is now worse than it was. He IS NOT a current brother authorized dealer and he DID NOT tell me that when he took my machine in for repair. He refuses to refund my money.
The greatest sewing machine store!
So personable! Great service. Easy to understand. Great products available.
A great store if you love seeing machines, they also give lessons too!
I was given my great grandmothers old sewing machine and needed parts for it and a lady at joans suggested i try sew and vac and the lady there was so nice and answered all my questions and put my parts together for me. i will be going back soon to have my machine serviced.
I bought a sewing machine here and came back for the free class they offer to learn to use it. I learned things I would probably never encounter on my own about my machine, about modern sewing in general. Martha is a wonderful teacher, so passionate and knowledgeable and very creative. Highly recommend buying a machine here, as the level of service is unparalleled to that at a big box store.
Reasonable priced for the presser foot for my old Viking machine.
Fixed my sewing machine and had a part for my other one 1952 !
Seem to be more of a sewing business than vacuum repair. Previous shop was total focus on vacuum
I have a 50yr old sewing machine that was handed down to me. I was having issues with the bobbin timing and they fixed it for me within a couple days. I was told the cost up front as well as what would happen if more repairs were needed than thought. Basic repair came with a full machine clean and oil and if more was needed I would be called and have the option of just picking up my machine, nothing paid, or going forward with the costs. Will definitely be going back when my machine needs another tune up!
We live in Crossville, TN and this shop was recommended for service for a Husqavara Sweet Sixteen quilting machine. We called in advance and Steve told us he would look at the machine when we arrived. Well, Steve is a man of his word. We had his immediate attention and he diagnosed the problem within minutes. We travel in an RV with our sewing machines and this is by far the best service we have experienced. Thanks again Steve.
Ill have my camera ready next time to take a photo of the shops surprising offering of rodentia. If The Tale of Despereaux has taught me anything, its that theres never just one mouse. Also, apparently 3rd times a charm when it comes to replacing a vacuum belt.Interesting place.
This is great sewing shop w classes to learn more
Called for vacuum cleaner repair on a shark rotator lift away and was told I needed to to prepay for two belts 30$. I called shark as was told that it doesn’t use belts and that the part was 95$ but was offered a 50% and the cost ended up being 47.00 with free shipping. I expect them to know their business. Very disappointed.
Great
This is the best place to go to buy your sewing/embroidery machines and supplies. This place also has the most knowledgeable staff who know all about the machines, and using them. The classes are the best I have ever experienced. I have learned so much and look forward to a long relationship with the professionals at Sew N Vac Superstore!!
Great workers! They are willing to help in anyway even one on one! They appreciate their customers! May God Always Bless!
Great service from Steve and his.sweet mother
I am happy with my experience with this dealer. They actually honored a phone quoted price (sweet deal) on a machine I was interested in, and they didnt talk down to me. On two occasions I have contacted a competing dealer to inquire on pricing only to be quoted MSRP and then steered to a lower priced, less desirable machine (that they deemed within my price range).HELLO...its the age of the internet. I know what people are paying for their machines. I know what I want, and competing dealer, the machine I want doesnt compare to the machine you want to sell me for full MSRP!!! I dont need my hand held. Ive done my homework. Im old enough to be your mother. Dont **** with me. ; )All of this to say, if youre clueless and need supervision and forced direction, by all means, let someone else tell you what you need and can afford. But if youre like me, looking for a fair deal and not expecting the dealer to offer up his first born, you might want to check these people out.
Chris repaired my Riccar sewing machine with prompt and professional care!Martha was kind and helpful.Ive lived in several states and had this machine serviced many places...THIS shop was great!
Very nice owners. Amazing stuff.
I took a central vac head in to be fixed. They had it for over 8 weeks. I called every week to check on it and did not get one call returned. When I finally picked it up the neck was jammed in and the case wasnt on correctly and wouldnt angle while vacuuming. I took it to Beam for for HALF what S&V charged, they put on the correct neck, fixed the belt that S&V broke installing the wrong neck and jamming the case down on it, and degreased all the bearing that S&V had greased that werent supposed to be. Beam did it all in 45 minutes! S&V told me there were no other wands or vacuum heads that would work with my system and that I couldnt get an electric head. They were wrong on ALL counts. I will never use this store again. Nothing but headaches.
I LOVE this place. Martha is the bomb diggity. They are very nice and super service oriented.
What a terrible rip off place!!! Being from out of town and needing a bobbin case for my machine, I googled and this Sew n Vac came up. I was first quoted $16 for the case. When I got there the price was $18 and with tax came to $20.75 !!! I left, came to the redlight at Washington Pike & Greenway and saw JoAnns -- literally right around the corner. JoAnn had the exact same bobbin case for $7.99! !!!Then I returned to Sew n Vac for a refund. They refused saying all sales are final. I was gone less than 10 minutes! Not sure how the owners and workers of this den of thieves sleep at night but you can believe I will forever avoid their stores after this. CAVEAT EMPTOR to any sewist in Knoxville.
I needed a Zig Zag Throat Plate and Presser Foot for a 50 year old Kenmore Sewing Machine and couldnt find the parts onlline. I popped over to Sew and Vac not knowing what to expect, but they had the parts I needed in stock! The service is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Sew and Vac for sales and repair.
Always feel feel welcome here, and love the classes and the folks who teach them.
Steve is constantly promising things and doesnt follow through on time frames, but I will say he has always fixed the problem with my Husquvarna machine.
