Great Averitt Express Terminal and the mechanic who fixed my flat tire was very fast and quick and knew what he was doing. Great service by this guy. And he did it at around 2am in the morning and it was pouring massoon rain outside, too.😅

Recommend you add a truck entrance sign so first time drivers can find it. Other than that very nice and polite .

Okay, unless you need to make a claim! Our business has used Averitt for many years and never made a claim. A few weeks ago we shipped a new piece of industrial equipment to a major decking company. It was tarped and secured to a pallet. When it arrived at our customers site it was not on a pallet and there were tears in the tarp. Receiving people set it aside until the engineer could inspect it. A few days later we were informed of some major damage to the equipment. It then had to be shipped back, repaired, and shipped back at our expense. Photos taken and claim filed. Clearly damaged in shipping. Averitt denied the claim because they said receiving signed the BOL and in the FINE PRINT states if you sign you are receiving the items in good condition. Dishonest workers at Averitt, as they destroyed our pallet during a truck transfer and did not note that on the BOL. The equipment not being on a pallet is obviously why it got damaged. Averitt does not stand behind their shipping practices and we will never use them again. We even took out what they call exceess valutation to cover for any damages. Stay away from Averitt if you have a valuable item you are shipping.

My last day waiting for the rental car company to pick me up. I worked in the truckload division, I wouldnt recommend it! Averitt has some nice facilities and some decent people. But that doesnt outweigh the inconsistent pay and dispatcher stupidity. Averitt would be an excellent choice if you work on the LTL side or dedicated. The truckload division youre just a warm body in the seat.

Averitt Express is a great customer relations base company.

I have been doing work in the field for the past few weeks which means I have to travel all over East Tennessee. I hate interstate and long distance driving because most drivers are horrible (you know its a true statement) so I notice when people actually drive WELL. One thing that has caught my attention this whole week is the driving of Every. Single. Averitt truck I have encountered (several per day). Every one of them went the speed limit and kept enough space between their very large truck and the vehicle in front of them to maintain a safe distance. I was so impressed that I figured I would get on here and write a review. I do not know exactly who or what the Averitt company is or does (irrelevent for my purpose of this review) but one thing is certain - they train their drivers extremely well. And those drivers practice what they are taught. So shout out to whoever is training your drivers - and a huge THANKYOU to your drivers for doing their part on the road to keep us all safe. I see you - and I appreciate you!

Clean facility with customer friendly service and knowledgeable regarding job specific requirements

Great operation top to bottom. I dropped freight / 2 skids there at 6:50pm on a wed. night and was out of there in ten minutes. Just the way it should be!

This company has the worst drivers on the interstate. They are afful on the road get truck numbers

Mostly just drive by on smoke breaks, but the drivers are always courteous when on the road and do not drive in a dangerous manner which is a plus in my book. With what I have seen from an outside perspective, I would hire them.

Great place to work. Good benifits and pay. Equipment is well maintained although slow with lots of performance monitors to keep you in line. Freight is generally plentiful, but slow periods can be expected like anywhere else.

Not bad to pick up

First time Ive had a shipment to a shipping depot before. Very friendly staff, great service. They are open 24 hours so that really helped me.

4 large orders were damaged during shipment. Over $5,000 dollars of product damaged and lost. Averitt is only offering$5 a pound at 150 lbs totaling $750. Claims department basically said thats the law and kick Rocks. Will update with a better review if we get better treatment. Have been doing business with Averitt for years spending thousands of dollars each month and should not be receiving poor treatment from this company that weve been loyal to. Extremely disappointing.
