5 Stars all the way!Awesome venue. Great seating.Easy entry/exit. Parking was a breeze. Right off the interstate, close to downtown. Would definitely visit again.
Nice place, but they need handrails in the balcony area.
I actually just left here yesterday! I had to go for my dance competition. Great place, easy to get around in, but the parking garage can be a little confusing. Otherwise, great place, if there is an event here that you would like to see, I recommend going here.
Just tried to purchase tickets to an upcoming event. Selected the seats we wanted and went to checkout and the price of the tickets jumped almost $60 dollars! The disclaimer also stated that the ticket price may be higher than face value since the tickets through Ticketmaster were possibly resale. I was looking forward to this event but scalpers and secondhand handlers have made the prices out of reach for us mere mortals. Oh, and the Auditorium Box office is only open on Fridays from 11:00 to 3:00 making it impossible for those of us who work to get there and possibly purchase tickets without the nearly $60 in add on fees. This is why venues like this are struggling.
First time there and I really liked it. A little crowded but was easy getting in and out. Can buy soda and beer/wine but get there early if you want that
We have attended several shows at this venue. We always really enjoy it. The layout is such that its large enough to accommodate a good number of people yet small enough that theres not really any bad seats.Parking is convenient and located just across the street. Theres usually plenty of space. Cost can be a little high sometimes as much as $10 but that seems to be the norm for parking in that area.Seats are comfortable. Views are good. And the acoustics seem to be excellent for musical performances. we enjoy the fact that its reserved seating so no fighting through crowds to try and get the best seats.
Went to the Saturday Farmers market. Fun great to pick up fresh meats. Veggies and some other natural products and some wonderful craftsmen.
The show was great! The only thing that was not good is how you serve alcoholic beverages there. It is a show for children!! Someone was trying to climb over their seat and spilled their drink all over my husband and me! Went all over us!!!! In our hair, in my eyes, all over our clothes! So that kinda put a damper on our experience for sure!!!
The employees, one in particular is trying to enforce an illegal mask standard. I have been harassed by him on both recent visits. Since the governors orders lapsed, the counties and cities do not have the authority to make mask mandates. The employees reflect poorly on our city. Ill now have to file a complaint with the mayors office. The employees are using KPD to try and enforce the mask requirements, when all of the officers I encountered at the venue understood and acknowledged it was not a lawful requirement. As a city, we are better than this.
Concert was great. Dont bring a purse, it will not be allowed in, this includes crossbody bags. Prepare yourself with a clear bag or to simply not have one. Also, do not use the first restrooms in the door. They are awful, there are better ones throughout the arena. Staff was friendly.
Went for a show. There are better venues out there.
Went for the Ice Bears game. It was a fun night with plenty of extra room. A good and cheap way for people to get out and enjoy a night.
Ice Bears...plus concerts. This is a great venue!
Had an absolute blast at our ice bears game!! We love the Knoxville civic auditorium and Coliseum. We have went to concerts including our cousins brothers Osborne and games here plenty of times. Always feel safe and the facilities are clean. Lots of great vendors to choose from. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to go here.
Went to see Long Island Medium had a wonderful time
14 seat row...middle enclosed off which left us next to a partial barrier with less than half the rink visible and tv screens not visible. Full priced ticket with obstructed views. Not happy campers. Have pics to prove. Also narrow steps and no rails for top 2/3 of the rows. Response when complained....write to ticket office. Poor experience.
I went to the Farmers Market and it has just an awesome selection.
Staff needs lessons on how to treat the general public..serious people skills. They are rude, obnoxious, and a really major deterrent for never returning. There were 6 people who are very easy going and all around fun in my party, not a one of us will be back.
Awesome Venue... very clean and very orderly...love this place
Had a great time at the Travis Tritt concert there.
Awesome place. They are doing great with social distancing and Covid.
I took my son to Disney On Ice and he had a blast. My son loves going to see, Walt Disney On ice every year at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum.Rain can’t wait to see his frozen friends, Anna’s adventure to find her sister, Queen Elsa, whose icy powers trapped the kingdom in an eternal winter. And his buddy Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven as they encounter wintry conditions and mystical trolls in a race to bring back summer.Mickey Mouse and Minnie, will sing along with us to unforgettable music and be delighted with special appearances by the Disney Princesses, Woody, Buzz, Dory and more
Nothing better than a night of hockey with friends and family, while safely following Covid precautions.
Saw concert. Was impressed with social distancing.
Watching an Icebears game can be loads of fun, but the arena itself is due for an overhaul. The parking garage is cramped and oddly designed. The auditorium itself when at even half compacity can be overwhelming/cramped in its halls. The row seating isnt very comfortable nor is it big person friendly. However, the games/events are fun to watch, the seats are budget friendly, and the overall experience will leave you satisfied that you got your moneys worth. Very family friendly.
This was our first Ice Bears game. The building is old, but when you walk in, it looks updated and nice. Not cold in there like I thought it would be for ice hockey, so thats a plus. Good view from our seats, which were in section D. It seems as though all seats would be good seats though. Well be back for another hockey game soon. Im not sure what we were expecting, but we felt underwhelmed since everyone told us wed love it so much and have a blast. We left early because we were bored, so we want to try again. Well see!!
The civic auditorium has been around for quite a long time and is still going strong. It brought back many memories when I attended a gospel singing last week, memories of my childhood when I would go with my parents, when I went to other events as I became my own young man, of dates I had when attending other events, circus, car shows, country music concerts, rock and roll concerts, sporting events, etc. I glad it has not been replaced or torn down. Keep it up Knoxville.
Love seeing shows and events here! One of my favorite places. Easy to park in the garage directly across the street. Parking whenever Ive gone is only $5. People are always friendly and theres really not a bad seat in the house. Affordable ticket prices, Only thing is snacks are a bit pricy, water bottles are $4 which doesnt stop me from going!
Saw the nutcracker and recently a comedian here. After two trips I think its a decent venue. They manage the parking with plenty of attendants, the drink/snack lines move surprisingly quickly, as did as the security lines and sound quality is quite good. Only problem is the seats are in need of renovation, the support on them has long since given up. Allow maybe 15min for parking and security lines, will be plenty of time even if you get it in one of the far parking lots. Also make sure you know which venue your event is in as there is the arena and the auditorium.
We love Disney on ice its always a great show. But toys are 💸 bring at least 100 for spending lol
Saw him gaffigan here nice digs, bathrooms could be bigger though, other then that just a plain big auditorium. The act you see is what makes this place great
Great space not a bad seat in the house.
I saw the play on Wednesday“ A Madea Farewell Tour” it was so funny I had myself and my dad we had a great time
Seats were uncomfortable, staff outside was unorganized, other than that it was alot of fun.
Brett Youngs concert on 1/30/20 WAS AMAZING
**SOCIALIZE THE PURSE POLICY** Seriously. Your webmaster can handle this, just tell them to do it. Theres no excuse for not notifying your paying customers of an inconvenience they can otherwise avoid.FANS: you may carry only a tiny purse or a clear, transparent bag. They will not allow anything different into the venue. Youll have to take it back to your car or pay $5 for Rolling Profit Revenue Stream to store it. Dont expect them to tell you this in advance.
We love the accessible seating at the Civic Auditorium! We can actually SEE the performances from the handicapped section. Wishing all entertainers would be available at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium!
Nice venue with large parking garage. If staying downtown, it is an easy walk.
Do some renovations. this building is severely outdated and shows its age
Great really amazing hocky game
Loved it..
Its a beautiful auditorium. The stage is quite large, the lighting and sound system are excellent. No food or drinks, even though they have a concession stand. So be prepared to step outside to eat or drink.
Went there for a Knoxville Ice Bears game.
Never, ever have had a bad time at a concert here!
Good arena but not inexpensive for shows!
Love going to see the Ice Bears play.
Came and seen WWE live and recently a ice bears game. Great times.
Old enough structure to need love, but not old enough to get it.
The venue is dated. We went for an icebears game. My biggest complaint was the lack of hand rails on the stairs along the aisles between the seats. We had nosebleed seats in the upper balcony and after the game was over I was struggling carrying my sleeping 2 year old down the stairs without something to hold onto. It seems unsafe and I felt unsafe walking down them. Especially when everyone is trying stepping out in front of you and crowding the aisle trying to leave as well.
Great place for a cozy feeling concert. Not too big, not too small, but busy right!
Graduation 🎓
Great concert, easy in and out!
Its great place to go wotch the ice bears play hockey
We had our Youth Confrence here. Staff was great.
My wife and I enjoy going to the Coliseum to see the Ice Bears. There are seats for any viewing angle. The prices are very reasonable. The only issue I see and wish they would address are the wooden seats. The seats at the floor level in the portable stands are comfortable, but I feel the wooden seats in the rest of the coliseum could use updating. As for the Auditorium, this is a great location for various performances. The atmosphere is nostalgic, modern, and enjoyable. I have no hesitations purchasing tickets for any event being held at the Auditorium. Eating locations can be found nearby. All in all, the Auditorium is an excellent venue.
Awesome auditorium great place for events take my kids here every few months for some type of big ticket fun watch WWE here last time had floor seats great experience great memories
Well maintained auditorium with a parking garage next to it. The space was clean and had many crosswalks. Be aware that there is a clear bag policy when going into the facility.
Awesome, intimate venue for a fantastic concert.
The Knoxville Civic Auditorium and Coliseum facility always offers an excellent lineup of entertainment. Being somewhat old (built in the early 1960s), it is in need of repair and renovations are planned, particularly for the coliseum side. Acoustics in the auditorium are only adequate but performances almost always use sound reinforcement. There are convenient parking garages adjacent but it is a bit expensive (by local standards) to park there. And, parking management staff (those who collect the fees and give directions) often fall far short of efficiency. Often they disappear at the end of a major performance when traffic is at its worse.
Plenty of comfortable seating and decent acoustics
Didn’t have anything on the website about purses and bags being too big, so I had to trek back to my vehicle to drop my wife’s bag off. Didn’t have anywhere staying a parking fee was in order until you pull up into the garage. Cash only. Told them I didn’t have cash, then was told to “bring it back”, whatever that means. They’re not really good at communicating anything to people trying to see shows here. Be warned so you don’t miss the opening to the shows you paid good money for.
Not bad at all for its age, however: The Ice Bears are usually pretty good (not kepted up last few seasons) and deserve a much better facility to play in. Not to mention the other musical artists and shows you could potentially bring that they are missing out on. Prime location and obviously safe being right in front of the police station. Great memories here though from concerts, to car shows, to plays, to hockey games.
Went to see a Gary Alan concert
