A friend just lost her senior dog because of dr Wilson.Absolutely horrible. They put this 16 year old dog under for teeth cleaning but upon further research, you should NOT do this to a senior pup. It was easy for me to find information online. Seems this place only cares about money. I am saddened for her and the loss of her baby. Be cautious when coming here and do your own research before listening to any vet.

Ive taken multiple pets to companion pet over the years. The wait times are always a bit long, the doctors and other staff are friendly but seem overworked. Their specials are very nice if youre on a budget, and their other care prices average with what other vets charge (most of the time). They helped me when we had to put our sweet cat down, and sent a condolences card. They did their due diligence when we were testing our dog for Cushings Disease. However, Ive only had to drug/sedate our dogbefore taking them here as he was extremely fearful of all the staff, would pee himself when they took him back, had to muzzle him as he was nipping, etc. All of that sounded unusual to us. We got a new pup, and at that time transferred all our pets care to another veterinary clinic in town (I wont say who as comparisons are rarely helpful). We havent had to drug or sedate our dog at all with the new vet. I dont know if its the set up, the staff, the smells, or something else, or a combo of them all, but I trust my animals intuition. If my dog doesnt like you, I wont trust you. At the new vet, our dog is happy to go back with them, calm when he comes out, and has never had to be muzzled at the new location. They even let our bonded dogs stay in the same kennel together! ❤ Im not saying I had a severely negative experience here, because I didnt. But the care we did receive was not worthy of five stars in my opinion. Companion also has a hard time keeping enough staff on hand for their patients, and seems to regularly overbook. I appreciate how they triage though. If you are a walk in, youll wait a while, if you have an appointment, youll be seen within an hour of when you booked, and if you come in and they assess your animal as being in a critical state, you get seen immediately. You cant just walk in and SAY your dog is in critical state, they are all able to quickly assess and tell if youre really in an emergency, or just freaking out a bit but your pet will be fine to wait 15-30 minutes.

Dr. Dean Wilson is an absolute love and talented, caring veterinarian. He is responsive and spends time with pet parents to let them know what is going on with their animals. We drive over 5 hours just to see him, even though there are vets in our area. Highly recommend his clinica
