I was an international client of Matts, flipping houses in Chicago. Matt himself is a good accountant but the team theyve built around him, is unprofessional and lacking in discipline. No followup emails, its almost like they forget about there clients. I ended up terminating our partnership and took my business elsewhere, I ended up having money left over from the retainer. Took me 10 weeks to get the refund back, and about 15 followup emails to there secretary and juniors . I would stay away if your doing multiple streams or properties, if its something small I think they would be ok

My wife and I used this company to help with my in-laws FIRPTA when they sold their house in the US and its been a NIGHTMARE. If you are looking for a tax professional to help guide you through this delicate process I would advise choosing a different company. We paid them a fortune to get everything correct and when it came down to the most important part of the process, filing w/IRS and the refund, it was a DISASTER. We supplied them with our US direct deposit information, as instructed, to avoid mailing a refund check to the Caribbean Islands (of all places!) and they filed the returns without the direct deposit info!! So the IRS mailed the refund check to the Caribbean and of course they never showed. Now having to go through the misery of filing with the IRS again. So November 2018 will be a year since they sold the house and this FIRPTA issue still not resolved. HBITAX hasnt even offered an apology or offered to refund any of their fee for filing incorrectly with the IRS. Save yourself a lot of misery and go somewhere else or if you have already started with them I would contact them regularly and triple check their work.

I am UK based andI have been using Hardings for 12 years for US tax returns and they have always been efficient and have filed everything on time and accurately.
