If I could give zero stars I would. I have had Suddenlink at my rental property for a couple of years and the customer service is absolutely horrible. The only reason I am still with Suddenlink is because they are the only cable (wired) provider in Kinston. I have had malfunctioning cable boxes, irregular or incorrect billing, and a many times a lack of concern when I call customer service online. I have complained online and when the rep cannot not answer my question they refer me to a supervisor, however, you cannot speak to the supervisor at that time. The supervisor must call you back and they tell you up to 2 days. This is my second major complaint with Suddenlink and of course like the first complaint, a supervisor does not call back.The reps in the actual retail office may be nice but honestly I have not ever been in the store. But the company has horrible customer service on the phone and does not seem to care about responding back to the customers. Like I said earlier, if I could switch I would, but Suddenlink is the only wired cable provider in Kinston, which is disappointing.To anyone who can relate to my review of Suddenlink and have complained and not received a call back. I suggest you file your complaint with the FCC. I filed a complaint before to the FCC and got a call back quick, which is why after waiting weeks on a return call from a Suddenlink Supervisor on my current concern, I have filed my second FCC complaint. I expect a call from Suddenlink now but its really sad a customer must go through this much trouble to get a simple call, but the monthly service bills goes up and if you don’t pay, of course they will cut your services off.

Suddenlink deserves a negative star but I am forced to give a star to post this review. This is the worst internet connection I have ever had in my life. You have to call million times to fix one thing. Every time you call with a problem it takes forever to resolve it. Someone from the suddenlink disconnected my internet instead of disconnecting another persons internet and when they came to fix it, they charged me $60 service charge. I called every single day to get that amount off my account but it never happened. Moreover they took a week to come fix the problem that was created by their own staff due to which I missed my college exam. Instead of giving me credit for the two week of internet connection lost, they charged me service fee. They even told me that they have already forwarded my concern to the supervisor and their supervisor will call me fix the problem. Guess what nobody called and neither the amount ever got fixed. I am in a verge to sue suddenlink as I missed my final exams due to their mistake and no internet connection at my house if they dont fix my problem. I even have witness on what the tech told when he came to fix my internet. I suggest nobody to use this internet connection because it is the worst of worst.

The local office is pretty efficient if youve an account or hardware swap issue, but they cant give any technical or problem resolution assistance on-site. This is a pity, since Suddenlinks phone support is heavily loaded, and the reps have short call windows.

Shotty service, haven’t had internet for 3 weeks now, two techs were sent one didn’t show other didn’t fix problem. I’m switching to century link, might be slow but at least I’ll have internet service. Trash internet. Trash customer service. Trash techs. WASTE of money. Too bad there the only high speed internet around.

We have been a member of Suddenlink services for quite some time. In the particular location we live at, we are unable to acquire any other form of internet services at the moment. If I was able to switch companies and get on another plan, I would in a heartbeat. I cant tell you how many problems we have had with this service. Their online technicians are terrible at communicating, supervisors are never available, and the in person technicians do a lackluster job which takes no longer than 20 minutes. My internet here has been out since Thursday and it is currently Saturday evening. After another disappointing phone call that took 20 minutes to get a hold of a customer support provider, there was nothing that he could do to further help me. We have a technician lined up to come to our house on Tuesday. That is 5 entire days without service. My brother and I are college students attending online classes and need the internet service to attend those classes. My mother is a nursing instructor at a college University and also a nurse at a local hospital and she has not had internet to connect with her students and other faculty at her separate workplaces. We have been forced to use neighbors internet, and our cable and phone services are also out. As soon as the services went out, we called immediately and described what the issue was. I know that the COVID-19 pandemic is a big issue today, but to be so backed up with issues and calls that it is going to take 5 days to simply check the lines from the road to our house says a lot about your service. You must have no concern for quality performance if the customer service is backed up 5 total days. If you are planning to get an internet provider, I advise you to only use this company if it is a last resort or if you like to be disappointed with terrible service and outrageous bills at the end of the month.

The customer service has went down hill. We have been dealing with issues for months now. They sent a technician out to fix a problem and they never showed up at all. Then we called them the technician said he knocked on the door and was told to reschedule service. But it was a lie they never showed up at all. There customer service rep was going to send out a person to check the router and they never called or showed up. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I do not recommend this company or service to anyone!!!!!!

The suddenlink guy was working on the systems box at the end of the road at noon for about 20 minutes, then he left. no service(cable, internet, or phones for the neightborhood. that includes a factory, a car dealership, and 6 homes til 8 hours later. during this time i called suddenlink he woman told me i was the only one out and schedule me an appt. for 3 days later. i was told there was nothing she could do. i asked to talk to her supervisor and she would not do it. said the supervisor would call me back within 2 hours---well 48 hours later still waiting i went to the factory and the car dealership and asked them did they have service and they said no and that they called suddenlink too and was told the same thing and were schedule for a service call too. i called back to suddenlink about an hour later which tookww my over 30 minutes waiting again. i was told again the same thing . i told them that what the others had done and how we were all schedule for service calls now 2 to 3 days later. 9 service calls schedule the same two day in the same area less than a half a mile apart. he told me again i was still the only one out in my neighborhood. i went to walmart and got 2 local HDTV att. about 930 pm the service came back on. i looked out the door and the servicemen were there. i ask one of them why they had not been back earlier to fix it and he told me no one had reported it out. l told him everything and he just laugh not at me but suddenlink customer service. i called suddenlink back to cancel the service call and was told i could not access the account back my name was not on the account. i told her who do think has been paying the dam bill for the past 10 years and if my name is not on the account then i demand a refund for the past 10 years......i hung up ..... suddenlink customer service is totally screwed up. to the people of kinston, nc ---we deserve better than this. write your senator and demand more than just one choice of cable in this area.

If I could give this whole experience a negative 5 stars I would. We just moved to Kinston 2 weekends ago, called to have service setup. The technician showed up Wednesday as scheduled and hooked the equipment up. Did not test anything to make sure it was all working. No big deal well just troubleshoot and figure it out. No luck. Still no internet connection. Set up a time to meet the technician to come out between 5-8 on Friday, no one shows up even after I got off early to make sure someone was there. So now Im very irritated, set up yet another time for the technician to come back. He is supposed to be here today between 5-8, it is currently 7:32. If no shows up in the next thirty minutes, I will be at Suddenlink office tomorrow with the modem and whatever else was brought to my house and I absolutely dare them to send me a bill.

No cable tv and no internet service for 24 hours. Tech support says they dont know when it will be fixed. When I called, the lady on the phone asks if I am aware that there is an outage in my area. Then she says she is sorry and that she is authorized to add my name to the list of people they will call when it is fixed. The service is every bit as bad as the other reviews say it is.

I give you guy a five stars for poor service always on hold for 39 min always quick to get you off the phone I went on line and SCHEDULED for service in March moved in May 1 st it’s been 29 days and these guy are still scheduling service for the third time a week later I cancel reorder and guess what can’t do that neither stick with the same appointment and still no services but damn sure sent a email request first payment $142.00 I am so so done with Sudden link I swear if I was rich I would buy this business and shut it down and rename it sudden ly ended

I have been a internet customer of Suddenlink for 8 years and have always made my payments on time. I did everything as a consumer that I was instructed to do. I am moving and need to cancel my service with them. To make a long story short, I have been told by Suddenlink that I will have to pay for a month of service I will not be in town to use or have their equipment to use. However, Im sure if I had not paid a bill, the service would be terminated immediately. My suggestion would be to avoid this company at all costs and get your internet service from anywhere but them.

Ok service for the area, although I see NO difference in speed even though we upgraded. We have an issue at the box every winter, we call at least every couple weeks and they keep sending out a tech that tells us the same line and it has never been fixed.

Over the years, people rated Suddenlink™ To be a poor service. Now the service has improved. I use the highest wifi speed and it is AMAZING. Its worth the price.One of the reasons people rate this bad is because they might use low plans and because In their area it may not be compatible or there is low compatibility.Also, the customer support can be poor sometimes.🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 4 Stars!

1/30/2020Suddenlink is still doing thinks the wrong way. Today out of nowhere for no apparent reason they disconnected my internet service. My bill is current. They offered to schedule a technician 3 to 4 days out at no cost! I advised them it was unacceptable. I requested to speak with a supervisor and by the fourth request I asked they were refusing to let me speak with a supervisor. I asked at least 15 times to speak was supervisor and was denied. I wanted to know who requested my service be turned off and why. They had no answer for those questions.Eventually I was advised my service would be online by 8pm. I really have no confidence that my service will be back online. As usual this will be a long drawn out issue with a bunch of I’m sorry which does nothing for the loss of internet, phone, television and loss of access for my small business which I run from my home office. This more than unacceptable it no way to run a business. A communication business that can’t get a work order right and disconnected the wrong service and can’t reconnect it as fast as they disconnected it.I don’t have words that can describe this type of incompetence and an inability to correct their mistake.Disconnected in Kinston

If I could I would give this place -5 stars. The lines are always long.And the prices are overrated and so is the service terrible. Why have 3 lines if your are going to only have one person working. I will never do business with them again. I waited 2 hours in line to pay a bill. Never again. This place sucks👎

Great service but recently Hurricane Florence hit North Carolina. Since then we have experienced our internet flicking on and off. We call tech support and they say it’s your motom. We didn’t change anything or have any troubles before and during the hurricane. We keep on telling them it’s on their end but they will not listen. (Tech support sucks)

The service is great but the customer service people changed the date and time for us to get cable and internet put in. When they did come it took them over to 2 days to complete the job as far as hooking it up. They stayed 5 hours one day and still did not finish the job said they would send someone back the next day and no one showed up. Then I had to wait days for some else to complete what someone else started.

I absolutely hate Suddenlink service, so called customer service and everything else. Had 3 appointments and 3 no shows. Customer service thought a $40 credit would make up for service that hasnt worked properly since October 2019. Will be dropping off there equipment this week.

I never write reviews but I am so fed up and overwhelmed with Suddenlink. I had their phone service and internet. Thats all I really use and I was paying their top-rate. I didnt care! I was like whatever because I know the rates not going to change. they called me with an offer saying $30 more I could have TV and all these channels so forth and so on, and if I cancel within 30 days I will see it on my bill but the following bill they will reimburse me. I took the offer and my kids did not watch TV. they still kept streaming on the internet so I had my wife to go up there and cancel it. I cancelled that service and now I cant go back to my original set price I was paying for phone an internet because it will be more than what Im paying for the whole package. originally it was less than what I was paying for the package so they lowered the package for me where Ill be paying $120 for all three services. somehow I now have an overdue bill of $300 and I called them to explain to me where the $300 come from and I was referred to another department to try to change up the services to get another deal but I asked him to just simply explain where the $300 come from because in order for me to be $300 behind that mean I would have to have missed roughly three months of payments and I havent missed those payments. They did not explain it to me. they just argue with me on the phone and then I got to upset and just told them to have a good day and hung up. Im just going without service with six kids might I add.

Service is terrible. Costumer service is good when you can talk to a real person. Prices are outrageous and seem to only keep getting higher. Havent seen a bill in the mail for quite sometime so I often forget the date on which to pay the bill, by this time service has been disconnected.

Service has been cutting off at midnight randomly every day, and rate of speed is inconsistent. Despite having the highest package and unlimited data, I get popups warning I am approaching my data cap limit when browsing the internet as well each month.

Here we go again, Part Deux!Request for Home Installation of 1 GB ModemThe technician was scheduled to arrive today between the hours of 8:00 am and 11:00 am. Only by contacting Suddenlink during the scheduled time of installation did I find that the technician had been rescheduled to arrive at my home between the hours of 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm.I contacted Suddenlink at 4:40 today to find out the status of the technician. I was told by Customer Service Representative Jan that the technician would be on his way.I just received an automated call from Suddenlink at 4:51 pm today stating that my appointment for today had been cancelled with an option for me to reschedule.I spoke to a Wali, who stated that the earliest time that he could have a technician install the new modem was Saturday, January 25 from 8:00 am to 11:00 am.Suddenlink totally disregarded – and disrespected -- my time that I scheduled to have a technician provide the service he had been requested to provide. So, tell me: if you can’t fulfill the time scheduled for today – where I took time out of my schedule to ensure his arrival – what makes you think I’m going to take a chance of having the technician ruin my day and schedule again on the promise of being here Saturday morning, when he didn’t even bother to show up today. Had I not placed the call 20 minutes before 5:00 pm, I doubt very serious that I would have received a call to cancel the appointment. And, Wali, at the end of our conversation, had the mitigated gall to tell me that I was a loyal customer! If this is how Suddenlink treats its loyal customers, I sure pity the delinquent fool!Its truly a wonder that you idiots are still in business. I’ll continue my search for a better telephone/internet provider. Given your performance, there’s got to be a company out there that’s better than this outfit.First ComplaintThis company is the ABSOLUTE WORST!!! After paying the past due portion of my bill, my service inexplicably slows to a crawl and ultimately stops the next morning which would tantamount to a disconnection. After contacting Customer Service and rebooting my modem about three different times, the service slowly begins to come back to normal. Since internet service HAD NOT been restored at the time I contacted Customer Service, I asked for a service call to be performed the next day between the hours of 8 am and 11 am. No one showed, nor did anyone call to say either that theyd be late OR that they werent coming. I cant help but wonder if they decided not to send the technician due to the fact that the outage had been resolved on their end. Im just counting the days until we move. I wouldnt recommend this lousy service to prison inmates!!! If youre thinking about acquiring Suddenlink as your ISP, let me save you some time: PLEASE DONT!!!

I have been with Suddenlink for almost two years. I left centurylink to come to Suddenlink and I should have stayed with Centurylink. I have never been with an internet service provider as sorry as they are. They have no sympathy at all for their internet customers short or long term. I make my living from home working from my computer and my internet cable has been above ground and cut since August 7 which was on a Wednesday and here it is almost Wednesday again and I am in the same boat. I called this morning Aug 13th and they cant even give me a date when someone will come out. The contractor, The contractor thats all I can hear. The contractor do not receive my monthly payment Suddenlink does and they should be more professional with handling their customers. As soon as I find another internet service provider I will be leaving and will not be referring Suddenlink to anymore of my friends or family members.

Internet goes out everyday multiple times, tech has came to house several times but isnt trained well enough to understand that 5ghz is wireless and not wired so all he did was switch out the modem. Top tier terrible customer service/internet.

I’ve had Suddenlink Communications internet for approximately 9 or 10 days. There has been an outage EVERYDAY since, with the longest one lasting over 24hrs. Techs have been out here twice and there’s a bucket truck coming Thursday. I don’t understand how a company can provide such substandard service yet charge an arm and a leg AND have a data cap on their plans. The internet is currently down again and technical support says it’s a loss of all services and that it will take time to resolve. I started services on the 8th and by the 12th they were attempting to tell me that I’ve used 60% of the data allowed on my plan. There’s no way that’s possible when the internet has been down more than it’s been up. There’s no way that I’ve used 156 in just 4 days when I’ve barely been able to connect when I didn’t previously use 100Gb in a months time with my old method of connecting. I really hate that there’s an monopoly in there area and other companies are not able to come in because I would switch in a heartbeat!

Suddenlink is the WORST internet company Ive ever had to deal with. I wish I could give them 0 stars. They literally charged me over $1,000 in internet usage fees when I was under the impression I had unlimited. I work from home, have several smart TVs, 4 game systems, laptop, cell phones, and tablets all using internet. I would never accept a plan with a data cap! They tried to say I never signed up for unlimited. I came to Kinston from a area that had multiple high speed internet providers and none of them offer plans based on data usage but rather speeds of service. All plans are unlimited because they know todays technology requires internet. Its a shame they are the only option in this town. I would never recommend them to anyone for anything other than speeds. Their customer service sucks. Even the supervisor was disrespectful and unprofessional. I wish I did research on the company because Ive met other people saying theyve had the same problem with the data charges. Be very careful with this company. Needless to say they refused to compromise and lost a customer that wouldve been very loyal considering the only way I make money is through the internet. I rather deal with the slower speeds than a company that scams people with bogus charges and horrible customer service. CenturyLink has a unlimited plan and better customer service just slower speeds but it gets the job done at least.

My cable & WiFi went out last night at 10:34pm July 7th & it’s currently 2:07pm July 8th & still out! I called Customer Service & spoke with 4 different people 4 different times & no one was able to tell me anything or much less help me TRY to fix the problem but proceeded to tell me that all they could would be to send someone out Thursday which is 5 days since it went out.....I do understand that things out of our control happens but WOW! I’m a loyal & paying customer but no help on what’s going on or anything? I’m just shocked. I’ve personally known people that have worked in the customer service area in cable & they’re supposed to at least walk you thru different options on how to fix the problem, but I got none of that except “There’s nothing we can do until Thursday.” There’s millions of people out here like me that work hard to enjoy our services & we just like to know help is always there or ATLEAST TRY! I just hope I’m not expected to pay for all this time without my services..... It sucks too when you & the persons you live with work from home & need your phone & WiFi working...
