Contractor did a wonderful job on the shell of our cabin. He had a lot of money issues. He was always asking for draws. His over all craftsmanship was very nice for the shell of the cabin. We thought hed do the same for our ceilings in the same cabin and it was awful. The material he used looks to be a scraps, the work itself is terrible. We have to remove more than half of it. He refuses to give us money back and provide a receipt for materials. He was supposed to finish the job in two weeks, when asked when he would be finished, he would not give a straight answer. He said he did not have the money for more material although we paid him for all of the material upfront. We paid more for than half of the job upfront. He then said he needs a helper and then said he was ill. Either way we have a contract and if he couldnt do the work, he should never have gone into a contract. We are out $2000 and instead of trying to work with us for a solution, he was down right rude.UPDATE: As we finish the cabin, what we thought was a great job on the shell, was not so great. The porch ceiling leaked because it is offset, the ceiling rafters are uneven, creating waves in the sheetrock. The main window is not centered and this is just a few of the issues.
I do not recommend this company. After he rushed us to get him the money and start the job, he bought little material for our house and quit after six days of work. He left with more than a 50% down payment, while our house is no where near finished.
Highly do NOT recommend C&C home improvements!!
