This place is a joke. They do not answer the phone at all. I have turned in all the paper work that was requested and It took them over a month to send out approval notice. know its time for renewal again and I completed the paper work online but still have not received my benefits. I am need of renewing my sons insurance but my case worker will not answer the phone much less call back when you do leave a message. The gateway website is worthless and it does not give me the option to renew like they say it does.

I returned my paperwork as I was supposed to. The lady at the front desk said that everything was good and I will be getting my benefits as I have been for some time now. 3weeks go by and nothing. I go up there and the lady working that day said it takes 30 days to process. Now its been two and a half months and still nothing. I call numerous times every day just to get the same recording . Ive left countless messages and they still havent returned my calls

The people are nice that work there.But the process here is a bunch of BS. Ive called so many times so many different numbers to get ahold of someone to try to find out whats going on with my childrens benefits and NOTHING.Youd think doctors appointments and sh!t would be important but apparently not.Guess if my 9 month old gets the flu and has no insurance Ill just hope for the bestThanks for absolutely NOTHING.

They did not care. It took me over 2 months toget the help I needed. And that was only because I had called a supervisor and was up there about Once a week. But I am very grateful that they did help me. Now I am still waiting on my EBT card.

They do more damage than good. They are trained to take your kids. They promise you that you will get them back just finish our little case plan we have set up for you and as soon as you do that you will have your children. Back. Lies!!!!They cause more damage to a family than good. Think about it they take the kids away from their mothers and fathers and stick them in a foster home and than tell them their parents dont love them. They lie on the stand and get away with it. And when the parent is on the stand they are not allowed to talk. You finish the case plan they set up up with and you still dont get your children back no they have already start adopting your children out. And not with just one family, even after saying their main. Interest is in the children and keeping them all together, but only do they notnombmmey are liers,⁵&

Be prepared to wait a long time! Even with only 2 other people in the building when I got there, I still had to wait an hour before being called to the desk. Still no resolution to my problem, either.

I cant visit this place due to lack of transportation. Therefore Ive tried very hard to reach the office by phone with no response or attention whatsoever. Im desperate and trying to survive and cant get the courtesy of an answered or return phone call. So discouraged with DEFACS and Gateway is just as bad.

Nice place helpful people doing the best they can. Waits are long but they have chairs while you wait so you dont have to stand the whole time

Its my opinion that they discriminate against the disabled. I feel they cut benefits for the disable, make excuses why they cant correct them and get away with it because there isnt any oversight. Hopefully some day theyll be a federal investigation into this state agency. Until then, the disabled will probably go hungry and suffer.

A lot quicker than it used to be. But, the people are pushy and didnt like to answer direct questions. Furthermore, not only myself but you get the mail for interviews the day of or the day before.

Never answers the phone or return calls when it clearly states That they will call you back in 24 hours. They work way too slow.

Waitng area has metal chairs and you pull a number like at the deli counter. You cant ask questions there are multiple signs telling you not to approach the windows.

Everyone needs help at some point. This is where you can get food stamps or help paying your bills.

This place is slow they have some info wrong they tell me its no big deal!! The workers get rude with me and they dont want to answer questions or let me speak to a case worker

I have a million reasons to hate this place, the biggest however is their disorganization, their lack of time management skills, as well as their lack of employees that care and actually do their jobs.

This office NEVER answers the phone, never returns calls. For FOUR months theyve had my son and my food stamp amount messed up and this month, we get nothing at all. If we go in to get help, they just tell you someone will call and of course, that doesnt happen. They need to get people in that office that WANT the job!

The most insufficient staffing!! I took paperwork in and they lost it. Luckily I made them stamp The time and date on the originals to prove that I took them in. I was also discriminated against because of my race.
