Your staff provides exceptional customer service. Warrington is such a great office and all the doctors are friendly and welcoming. The wait times are relatively short(usually 15 min max). They are so understanding. I have never had an issue with them. Office staff is great as well. Very friendly and professional.
Dr. Vogt is an awful doctor who claims that her philosophy is philosophy is to use as little medication as possible. This is a lie. She over medicated me and worsened my mental health symptoms by putting me on too many different medications. She is rude, rushes appointments and doesnt truly care about the wellbeing of her patients. Its a shame she is a medical director of this facility.
I cannot say enough good things about the office staff! They are the kindest, friendliest group. I went to BHC yesterday for a test although I was not a patient. I had trouble finding my Drs fax number and they helped me call to get it (many places would have bit my head off for not having it, let alone help me get it). They helped me through the testing process. After the appointment, my car broke down. They let me sit in the office, gave me water and snacks while I waited for a ride - heat index 105 degrees F+, I wouldve become sick waiting in the heat. They made a stress day much easier and I am very grateful.
Dr Gilman is the worst doctor I have ever met! I work in the medical field. All she cares about is money......She does not deserve to be a doctor!! The office NEVER answers the phone.
I’ve never written a review for a doctor, but I’ve also never had as poor of an experience as I’ve had with Dr. Monheit.Dr. Monheit was beyond rude, condescending, and belittling. I was explaining to him how I recently was inpatient for 30 days, and before he even let me finish, he goes “30 days? That’s quite an absurd amount of time. You should be grateful your insurance covered that.”I would’ve explained to him that the program was a 30 day program, but he didn’t even let me finish. He continued to belittle me for taking a break from college and unable to find employment. I saw him right as I got out of an inpatient facility and I also have a significant learning disability. He continued to tell me that I was on too many medications, (I take three!) and that even though he’s a psychiatrist, he doesn’t like to prescribe medication for people. He also downplayed the rare disease I have as well as saying I’ve been on “far too many medications for my age.”(A part of the rare disease is a high medication and anesthesia tolerance, but if he allowed me to explain that we could’ve seen eye to eye).He also didn’t acknowledge or add the fact that I have a diagnosis of PTSD (from multiple other professional psychiatrist/therapist and I shared with him multiple traumatic events that I have been through) to my file or during our session. (Once I finally got a new psychiatrist after him, she said that was absurd he didn’t add that to my file as I absolutely have a PTSD diagnosis).Dr. Monheit also only sees patients on Tuesdays. He belittles me for not being able to find employment, then when I do find a job he can’t see me due to my work hours. That’s outrageously hypocritical.I had such a poor experience with Dr. Monheit that I actually stopped seeing a therapist in the same office that I liked because I don’t want any of my medical care associated with that man.I have been in the mental health system quite a long time, and I’ve seen my fair share of psychiatrist and therapist, but I have NEVER faced the type of unprofessionalism as I did with Dr. Monheit. Do NOT see him and do NOT take your children to see him. The only thing you will get out of the appointment is feeling absolutely horrible when you leave.
It is extremely difficult to get a hold of anyone to arrange an appointment so I would highly recommend calling in advance. This may be due to the C-19 pandemic, but I have yet to have an actual person answer the phone.Update: Knocking another star of my review. I have been with Behavioral Health Choices for a year now and have yet to get an actual person on the phone when I call. It is not only frustrating, but it reflects extremely poorly on Behavioral Health Choices. The receptionists is your first point of contact, and if you cant get a hold of them it honestly makes you feel like they dont value you. I love my therapist, but the difficulty of making, canceling, or simply updating appointment times has really made we want to search for another provider. Im really sad to have to say that. If I dont receive a call back, Im tempted to contact the BBBUpdate 2: I specifically told my therapist (who is awesome) that I would be away for two weeks and could not continue my normal schedule visits until I get back. However, I keep on receiving automated messages for appointments that I DID NOT schedule. I am at the point where I have to knock yet another start off my review. The way office staff treat patients is flat out nasty. I will be looking for another provider.
Easy scheduling. Friendly and accommodating receptionist. First therapist appointment went well. They seem very well organized
Dr was competent. Staff is dreadful and makes mistakes with billing. Wait in the waiting room for an hour and you will likely come to the conclusion this is a pill dispensing factory. Absolutely terribly run practice.
We have been coming to Behavioral Health Choices for over a year. My daughter sees Dr. Reilly, and we love her. My child has really come a long way since seeing her. We have seen other providers and we never felt any of them were a good fit. Dr. Reilly really listens to us and comes up with a plan of treatment we are all in agreement with. She takes the time to explain any questions we have and we never feel rushed. I think since we never are rushed, it is why she is sometimes running behind, which we get! I would rather feel listened to than have a doctor who was always on time but rushed me out. I have referred friends to her as well and they have all said the same. The office staff have always been great to me as well and I have not had a problem with getting my phone calls returned.
Great therapists and doctors!
Reception staff is great, easy to get appointments, and psychiatric service was adequate until a specific incident. I had a medication that I ran out of early so I needed a refill. I called every day for a week and spoke to reception each time. I was never able to speak to my doctor or got a call back from them, apparently you can only speak to reception. The doctor would not refill my prescription, and I have no idea why because I couldnt talk to them. Abrupt withdrawal from antidepressant medication can cause serious and long lasting damage; leaving me without medication was not only irresponsible, but actually dangerous. Even if this was my fault (lost prescription, incorrect dosage), it is the doctors responsibility to consider my health first, and then correct course. Worse still, the office message instructs you to call the Horsham Clinic in case of an emergency; when I called, they told me they were in no way affiliated with BHC! I am still deeply upset by this incident, I feel that BHC actually put my health at risk. I wont be coming back.
I am so happy that I found a good fit with my psychiatrist. I had no problems scheduling. They verified my insurance and thank goodness they take my insurance. It’s very difficult to find good care with your insurance if you don’t want to pay $$$$ for a psychiatrist out of network.
Elle was very helpful and patient when I had trouble logging on to the telehealth platform. My psychiatrist was also very understanding and listened patiently to the things that happened to me in life. I felt welcome and understood!
I am so grateful I found good care for my child! The doctor was very patient and took her time. It was very easy to schedule and the staff are very helpful. I needed some help with filling out forms and the staff helped me out. Its so difficult to find a place that you can trust and that can help you.
I only recommend this provider if you want...1. To have the exceptionally rude, lying experienced receptionist dictate your medical care or lack thereof (receptionist speaks on behalf of providers and management, apparently has authority to deny services)2. To expose your personal financial information to the risk of identity theft and fraud (receptionist believes she knows the ins/outs of all credit card member agreements and merchant services agreements, she 100% knows their practices are fine)3. To receive care in the most cost-increasing/revenue generating, fragmented, isolating manner (no exceptions, no explanations, no discussion)4. To be threatened and mistreated (by the receptionist) if you question the receptionist or have the audacity to speak up with legitimate, reasonable concerns regarding your care and personal information(I asked to speak with someone with greater authority in the office regarding my concerns, and instead I was told that I would now be denied services. They claimed to return my documents without keeping copies... I left my number for the medical director. Lets see if I hear back. I hope for the sake of all the patients they rethink their intake process and personnel... King of Prussia office.)Good luck to those who have no choice but to come here.
Experienced theft and negligence. Called to become a first time patient, and set up a preliminary consultation - to see if I would be a suitable candidate for services- and contingent upon being deemed a good fit, a meeting with a psychiatrist, to whom I would eventually be assigned. They told me of a strict cancellation policy of 48 hours notice and required a credit card to be associated with my file. I called with more than 48 hours remaining to cancel ALL APPOINTMENTS, as I had found a better treatment option and was no longer interested in becoming a patient. My first meeting consultation was apparently canceled properly and went without charge but about a month later I noticed a charge for a missed appointment of $175.00, that would have been around the time of my potential meeting with the unassigned psychiatrist. Clearly there was a simple mistake on the end of reception. I have called dozens upon dozens of times, left voicemails describing an urgent billing issue, even gone to the center in person to speak with the receptionist. I was told there was no one available to speak to about my billing problem but the receptionist took down my name and my problem and promised to pass it along to the appropriate person and to expect a phone call on Monday. I received no phone call on Monday or at any later time. EXTREMELY unprofessional, unreliable, and I have never seen a medical center where you will NEVER reach a live person on the phone. I would recommend anywhere BUT Behavioral Health Choices if you want to avoid stress and theft.
Rather than responding to individual reviews, we would like to address common themes of discontent that we read online or hear at the office. Some patients are getting very upset with our policy of collecting copays or deductibles at the time of visit and then immediately go to our review page and voicing their discontent. We would like to say that we are on your side. We would love to only have to collect a straight $ 20 copay but unfortunately those days are mostly gone and many insurances now have several thousands of dollars in deductibles that patients have to meet out of pocket. In order for us to stay in business we need to collect the amount that patients are responsible for at the time of each visit which is outlined in our policy. We have to hire highly trained staff who can verify and figure out each patients payment obligation which is not always straight forward. This is the reason why many mental health providers do not take insurances.Another concern are wait times when the doctor falls behind in his/her schedule due to emergencies or having to fit in patients that missed their appointments. The refinement in scheduling is an ongoing process and we are trying our best to be as efficient as possible and at the same time finding a way to be responsive to emergencies as well.Yes, we do sometimes deny services when patients do not agree with our office policies or procedures. Luckily we live in an area with relative density of access to medical and mental health services and patients have a choice and can find an office that meets their needs if they do not agree with our policies.Last but not least we would like to say that we love to help everybody feel better! We have highly trained and competent therapists and psychiatrists with many years of experience. Our receptionists are very kind and helpful and are continually trying to improve our patients experiences of their office visits but also have to make sure that our office policies and procedures are adhered to which does not make them popular with everybody ( as seen by some reviews). But it guarantees a smooth and efficient operation that can provide mental health access for many which is our mission.
The doctor was very patient and took her time. It was very easy to schedule and the staff are very helpful. I needed some help with filling out forms and the staff helped me out. Its so difficult to find a place that you can trust and that can help you.
Although, I have waited a bit to see my doctor I will say, its always worth it. As a mother of 3, 3 children who all suffer, I can understand why these doctors are quite delayed.I hear many parents treat the front staff with a nasty attitude, those parents need to relax ; if their child isnt troubled or dealing with demons, please see it as a blessing. I think all of us mom and dads would LOVE if our child would comply, get in the car, so we could get to an office ON TIME, and then see the doctor and be IN AND OUT. Sadly, I think most kiddos who come here- require time. Perhaps this isnt the place for those parents who have an issue comprehending that. When it comes to Mental Health I wish more folks can understand, this type of business is not equal to seeing a dentist, where if they are 30 + mins behind that would be alarming. But, thank you to the front staff who always get me in, who try hard and to my wonderful 2 doctors who have none stopped helped me and my family. I hope this review helps some of you moms out there. Joanne works with my one child and has saved her life. Dr. Reilly is a wonderful doctor, as well as Dr. Vogg. Thank you.
I liked my counselor there a lot, she’s great. However, the overall operation of this place is terrible. I’ve been calling and leaving messages for 3-4 weeks now with no returned call. I originally called to reschedule my counseling apt I had that day 4 weeks ago, and kept calling every week to keep trying to get an apt for my counselor and psychiatrist. Never a phone call back. But yet they charged me a $50 no show fee when I keep calling to try and make an apt and no one wants to return calls. And I haven’t had my medication in a month, thank goodness I don’t depend on them to function like other clients may. Other reviews say similar things about their inability to return calls. Missing one I can, but I’ve been calling every week. I left a final message today. If my call isn’t returned today I’m seeking services elsewhere, and hopefully they stop charging my card!
I have always had excellent experiences here. If I ever leave a message, I am always called back. The front desk is always kind and up to beat.My Dr. goes above and beyond for me. I have never had one issue and I am grateful for them. THEY TAKE INSURANCE!!!
If you are seeing a counselor here, I believe you could give it five stars. Otherwise, it is pretty terrible. I left a message over 2 weeks ago, looking for an appointment, and I have yet to be called back. The first psychiatrist my wife saw here kept doubting her and made her cry. Her new psychiatrist and counselor are great, but everything else isnt good
I am so happy to have finally found a place that takes my insurance! The receptionist in King of prussia was very friendly and polite. I have called many times and have always had my phone call returned, sometimes within the same hour. The front staff are very caring and have helped me with many questions I have had. I love my doctor. I couldnt be happier!!
I have been seeing a psychiatrist at this place for several years. The staff is nice and the doctor competent. I have been to other mental health clinics and I can tell you-this is the best!
Wouldnt recommend this establishment to anyone EVER. Office Manager is out on medical so any issues, NO ONE else deals with. Receptionist are very rude, never leave their seat to try and help accommodate an issue. For a behavioral specialist facility, theyre not trained well in dealing with THEIR OWN ATTITUDES. The receptionist arent professional, exposed personal details of practitioners, trying to guilt or shame patients. Lillian Reilly Prado is awful, the receptionist are horrendous in their accommodation manners. First scheduled appointment with Lillian was in regards to our son, we were scheduled at 11am and werent called back until 1120. She didnt apologize in any regard. Didnt seem interested in seeing our son, whos appointment was 3 business days later. Showed up for his appointment where receptionist said they called about cancelling the appointment due to therapist being out.
I have 2 of my children being seen at Behavioral Health Choices. They see 2 different doctors on the same day. The receptionists have always been very accommodating and coordinating the visits so that my girls are being seen around the same time. Very competent staff!
I am very pleased with my therapist. Never had a problem with scheduling. Staff is very nice, friendly and accommodating.
UPDATE: here is their nasty reply that doesn’t show on Google. Anyone that uses the words and tone “first of all” when replying to an upset patient who waited more than an hour and then was charged $50 shouldn’t be in their position. You have been nasty to the wrong person one too many times. I will keep following up and reporting this. The doctor told me it was due to a scheduling error and not a client emergency.Response from the owner 3 hours agoFirst of all waiting 1 1/2 hours is absolutely not standard at our practice and our staff would not have said this since this would be absolutely unacceptable and we would be out of business in no time. We see over 2000 patients at our practice every month and most of our patients have a positive experience. Although it may happen that one of our clinicians falls behind regarding seeing a patient on time which is usually not more than 30 minutes. If this happens it is always due to a patient needing more time than we typically allocate because he/she is not doing well or having an emergency and our mission is to deliver excellent care. Due to HIPPA regulations we are not able to confirm if a reviewer has been or is a patient at our practice and our responses are always general in nature.Original review: I wish I could give less than one star. I waited an hour and a half for Dr. Salon for my daughter and the manner of her and her staff in the King of Prussia is absolutely terrible. After my terrible first experience, they charged me $50 for a late cancel for the follow-up. I called to follow up on the charge and was told someone would get back to me. Two messages later and 3 weeks later, they let me know that I was under the 24 hour mark and that waiting an hour and a half is completely standard practice at their facility. If you value your mental health, I’d find another practice. Total of $90 and 2 stressful, wasted hours (not including travel) I can’t ever get back!
Love the office staff! They were able to squeeze me in when I had an emergency. I am very thankful and wanted to tell everybody how fantastic they are!
We have only had the initial appointment but the office was very professional. It seemed like Dr. Vogt listened to our concerns and put an immediate plan in place. Much better impression than other doctors we have seen.
I agree with the operation reviews. Waiting for more than a week for the Psychiatrist to contact me regarding medication for my son. Left so many messages, but for whatever reason the messages are either not being picked up by the doctor (messages are left in the client folder) or some other reason, so not sure what is going on. Medication management is very critical to a patient’s health outcome. I cannot believe the stress and inconvenience I am going through to reach the doctor. Don’t get me wrong, the doctor is amazing, but clearly the way the office is operating or handling escalations is not working. Perhaps it’s time to take the feedback and do a root cause analysis to improve the process. I have two special needs kids, and don’t need to be chasing after professional businesses to do their jobs. I will call again on Tuesday to talk to the office manager. Hoping this feedback is taken into consideration for improvement, because finding a quality, experienced doctor is really hard to find.
It was very easy to schedule and the staff are very helpful. I needed some help with filling out forms and the staff helped me out.Sure to use there service aging.
I do not recommend BHC. I saw two different people at this office for two different issues and I did not connect with either of them. (Which I know is not their fault so that is not why I am rating so low). The last time I went to this office, the first thing I did was check in however the 2 of the 3 receptionists were too busy talking that they did not check me in and let my therapist know that I was here. This is not the first time I have noticed the 2 same receptionist being side-tracked from talking about issues that do not seem to relate with their place of work. After I saw my therapist take another patient who arrived 30 minutes after me I went back to the front desk to ask why I was not being seen. A different woman was very kind and said that the other receptionist never checked me in and that they would get me in after the other patient was finished. Which they did. Then finally an hour after I arrived I went to the front desk to check out were the receptionist who initially messed up told me I owed an extra payment from the last appointment but were not clear on what the payment was for. Eventually, they did clear the extra payment, but I do not trust this place. Patient care and customer service should always come first in my opinion. I dont think that is everyones priority at this office.
Very satisfied with my experience! My psychiatrist and therapist are working together and I have come farther here than I have at other places I have been. They really want you to get better.
I am so happy that BHC is in Warrington! Their therapists and their psychiatrists are outstanding! The front staff is amazing! They are so helpful, friendly, polite and professional. I just cant say enough about this office!!John C.
I can’t say enough good things about BHC. My therapist is amazing and you can tell she truly cares about her patients. BHC also helped me get on the right medications pretty fast. I was never able to stick to a therapist or psychiatrist until I found BHC. Becoming a patient was one of the best decisions I’ve made.Scheduling is super easy. I’ve never ran into an issue where there wasn’t an appointment available in the time frame I needed, both with the doctor and my therapist, in the 1.5 years I’ve been a patient.I’ve seen reviews about the wait times to see the psychiatrist, and yes, the wait is sometimes long. But when the doctor has to meet a patient for an emergency visit, there isn’t anything they can do to get you in faster. If they could, they would. These emergencies happen at almost any mental health facility, especially when it’s regarding a patient on medication considering the side effects they may cause.
The staff is very attentive and the doctor I am seeing is very nice. She changed my medications for the better. I can really recommend this place!
Im not happy with this facility. Ive been reaching out and my husband has been reaching out for weeks and they dont call back. If I could rate zero stars I would. CALL. BACK.
Per a response provided to a previous review, it was advised 3 months ago that the issue with waiting >1 hour PAST your scheduled appointment time was going to be resolved.Well, that is NOT the case. We will discontinue our service here as this facility clearly does not hold their patients in high regards.
I had a great experience! Very friendly and helpful staff and the office had really nice office decor. The doctor I saw there was very friendly and competent.
I started seeing a dr and therapist here for about a 3 months now.the lady who did my intake was very sweet and super accommodating.I will say, BHC has some policies and procedures that they do abide by however they also are extremely accommodating. whenever I go to check in the ladies up front are very kind. I always see them on the phone or helping take over if there becomes a line of people. I noted they tend to document every phone call / interaction. At times, I have had to wait longer than 30 mins for my appointment BUT I know that its mental health and emergencies happen everyday and also the DR. takes her time with EACH client. So I dont mind to wait for my turn. I have seen clients get aggressive with staff and staff handles it nicely. I overheard a child screaming and cursing and the receptionist did ask her nicely to compose herself and that she was not in control of what was happening, its mental health and sometimes doctors run over their time. I want to say thanks to BHC because they really do care. Its impossible to find someone who takes insurance let alone even cares about your wellbeing instead of just telling you to take all these pills!! I am very happy with my care and I honestly would pay little mind to others reviews about phone calls. These girls document everything, I watched them as I checked in, they really are trying and I want to say thank you.
I used to see Dr. Vogt for years before she hired the current business manager who then hired a number of staff. And my experience as Dr. Vogt’s patient prior to her hiring the other employees was a good one.I unfortunately allowed myself to remain her patient for some time after she hired the current business manager, not really “getting it” that yes indeed things had changed dramatically for the worse and seeing the reasons why.The business manager and staff were so completely dysfunctional—aside from a couple of heartfelt sweethearts who had little or no say, this business manager and her proxy employees had nothing even remotely close to the personality or skill set required for managing an office like Behavioral Health Choices, and these hired hands had no ability to work with patients in a respectful capacity whatsoever. Nor, I soon learned, were they capable of even following through on taking proper action such that they could function as a psychiatric office anymore. What they did to Dr. Vogt’s provision of professional services (right before Dr. Vogt’s eyes) is a sad and unfortunate thing. Business consultants always say it’s the employees that we never fire that destroy us. As a result of these “adjustments“ to the doctor’s business, the Dr. Jutta Vogt I knew and liked, for all practical intents and purposes, ceased to exist. What good is a Doctor who will listen to you in the office but when you actually need something, you cannot even reach or get a message to because the office staff are in capable of getting any message whatsoever to the doctor? And what good is a doctor who’s good in person if on a day when you are very fragile, need to schedule an appointment, or have a change in your medication, when you call, the staff or business manager is completely disrespectful and entirely ignorant of any issues you you may be facing emotionally to the point that they treat you in a disparaging manner or even with contempt? After Dr. Vogt added these employees, having her as a psychiatrist became a painful experience. It is very unfortunate when a sound professional is dramatically reduced in value because of hired personnel.I have now seen a different psychiatrist for over a year. My experience with this psychiatrist has not been quite as good as my experience with Dr. Vogt was prior to her hiring her business manager. The new psychiatrist’s office manager, however, is not severely impaired in responsibility and accountability or in sensitive communication skills with other human beings. Quite in contrast to Dr. Vogt’s business manager, this other business manager knows how to relate to people/customers/patients in an ethical and emotionally sensitive way. So the overall care that I receive from the new psychiatrist is much superior to the care I had received after Vogt hired her business manager.Professionals often make this mistake. They think well if I treat my patients well enough when I see them, that’s going to be sufficient!!Oh no no no!! Not if the business manager you hired has not the slightest clue how to serve your client base in an ethical and responsible manner. You may as a doctor think you’re doing a great job, but since so much of psychiatric care occurs outside of the therapist-patient office dyad, then hiring someone like THAT to be your office manager might completely destroy your business. That is the reality, and if there are any doubts about the status of aspects of your business, then you can always read your comments that your patients and clients leave for you online.
Nice folks, but it is IMPOSSIBLE to speak to a human being.
Great facility, nice staff. I was able to make an appointment effortlessly and staff was very nice when scheduling.
I love my therapist. I was looking for a therapist who uses CBT. I have seen some results and I am looking forward to every appointment!
I recently started coming here after having had a terrible experience with my prior psychiatrist and hours of searching for an office willing to accept patients who already have an outside therapist. It did take me a while to get an intake appointment, in which I had to visit once with one of their psychologists, John, who was very thorough, attentive, and kind, but also, kept things concise. This made sense because he was able to evaluate me prior to seeing the psychiatrist. Once I was in their system, arranging appointments became much easier and they had a good amount of flexibility without making me wait months. I got assigned to Dr. Vogt, who runs the practice, and she is fantastic. She took the time to understand what I was experiencing and listened to my concerns. While it was costly, she suggested I take one of their internal tests for a particular diagnosis. I took the test and met with her again, all in the same day and without waiting. They timed it perfectly so that I could see the doctor immediately following my test. I am glad that Dr. Vogt suggested it, because the implications of it and the following medication have changed my life. Thanks to Dr. Vogt and her awesome team, I am beginning to solve things that have severely inhibited me in certain areas, since I was a child. My following appointment with her was just to check in and it was much quicker (10-15 min), but I appreciate this because I didnt feel like I wasnt being heard, I just felt like we communicated efficiently and effectively. I am sure that if I had any concerns or symptoms, that Dr. Vogt would sit with me for as long as necessary. Ive experienced what other people have mentioned, where you rarely reach someone when calling the office, but I have found, that if I leave a message, they typically get back to me within an hour, which for me is totally fine, but I can understand where others are coming from. I just think that the staff really makes whoever is immediately in front of them a priority, and ultimately, that is a good thing, in my opinion. Perhaps they could benefit from having one more person on deck, but I wont act as though I understand their internal operations enough to truly have any insight there. Overall, coming here has monumentally improved my life and I feel that they do a wonderful job.
Great office with exceptional staff! Makes you feel as if youre home.
Very friendly staff and easy scheduling. I am very happy with the quality of care provided.
The staff is very friendly. Beautiful new location, just a minute walk from the old one. I love that the new building is on the ground floor since I had difficulties getting up the stairs at the old building.
Pretty sad experience I must say. I signed up to see a Psychiatrist and therapist at this company. The psychiatrist part went well. On my second attempt with a therapist I had to cancel the same day (which i know is my own fault). What i wasnt aware of after several calls to my therapist was they locked my account and no one will call you back until they collect a fee. Its fine if you put this in your paperwork from the day you sign up a couple months ago. But give people the respect and let them know theres an issue before turning the cold shoulder. What a horrible way to do business.
BHC and Dr. Vogt are fantastic! I always feel better after I leave the office because everyone is so patient, kind and understanding. Thank you!!
Be careful about being late. Always be on time. They make you sign a contract stating that a fee will be applied for being late or not showing up. However, twice Ive arrived on time and they have been well over a half hour late to see me with no accommodations on their end. Will consider going to a different practice.
One of the best behavioral health places Ive found that takes insurance.
It has a nice atmosphere in the waiting room. I guess it depends on who youre coming to see.
I want to be able to leave a good review but so far my experiences have been mostly negative. When I called the first time, they did not have any openings for a month, so I made an appointment for a month out. Now I understand it can be hard to get appointments quickly, so I was patient in waiting for my appointment, even though I did need really badly to get in there. Waiting much longer would not have been an option for me. But when I called the week of my appointment to confirm, they told me there had never been an appointment for me. Instead of seeing this as a problem, they simply offered to schedule me again for a few weeks out. I was very frustrated and luckily they were able to get me in the day before my initial appointment was SUPPOSED to be, but only because there was a cancellation. Now at my initial appointment, I made a follow-up appt. for a month out with the psychiatrist. I tried calling again last week and this week to confirm at the KOP office, and each time received a voicemail. Only when I finally caved and called the Warrington office did I get a response, to be told there was no appointment made for me, yet again. I dont know if there is an issue with the reception at the KOP office or what, since they do not answer their phones and appear to promise appointments that they are not actually making in the system. But to me this represents a big problem, especially when dealing with mental health and patients who are really relying on timely appointments to be able to get the services and medications they need. I hope this is just a mishap and I got unlucky, but if this is a regular occurrence, I hope that someone can look into why this is happening and make some changes so it does not happen again. It is unfortunate because in person the people do seem nice, but these logistical issues have really negatively impacted me. If it wasnt so difficult to get an appointment at a place that takes my insurance, I probably would be searching elsewhere.I want to emphasize this is not meant to drag this place through the mud but simply to draw attention to an issue that has become a repeated problem for me. If this problem ceases to exist in future situations, I will happily change my review.
Appointment was good, accommodations for insurance not so much. My insurance is accepted by them but my insurance is managed by a 3rd part claim company and Behavioral Health refused to bill the claim. To make matters worse they wouldnt give me the tax ID so I can submit a claim which is ridiculous since the tax ID should not be something private. All other providers give this when asked. Very frustrating to deal with office, will seek alternate provider
I starting coming to BHC a few months ago after relocating to the King of Prussia for work. Dr. Vogt was the first psychiatrist I have seen (been in treatment for over 15 years) to get me on the a medication that actually works.Any time that I have had to wait I know it is because the doctor is spending the time needed with the person a head of me that I would want her to spend with me when I need it.Very glad I found this office!
I didn’t have great expectations going in, due to the nature of mental illness. When I did finally bring my son in for the first time I was surprised to find how friendly this small office is. We went to see the psychiatrist and now have scheduled therapy for the future. Could not have asked for more.
We would like to respond to the last review and take the opportunity to educate about our billing and payment processes:We acknowledge that emotions can run high when it comes to billing and payments. We require payment at the time of service and for patients with deductibles we do charge the deductible amount required by the patients insurance to which patients agree when they sign our intake forms. We routinely check if the patient has met their deductible at the time of service. However there can be discrepancies when the insurance company has not updated the information on their website or if by the time we create the bill and submit it to the insurance company the patient has met their deductible because other bills have met their obligations in the meantime. We have to bill the insurance company so that the patients payment gets allocated to their deductible. There are only few patients we have to reimburse but so far there have not been any patients that did not get their reimbursement. It usually takes a few weeks due to the insurance companies processing time.
The staff at BHC is fantastic! I always feel better after I leave the office because everyone is so patient, kind and understanding.
Not a great experience so far. I tried calling to check what insurances they accept and tried to arrange an appointment for my husband.A week later I finally receive a call back telling me my husband has to call due to Hipaa policies.Well, I work with insurance and that’d not be a hipaa breach as I’m not asking for medical or personal info. I’d be the one supplying all the information.Never had a problem scheduling appointments for him before in other clinics/ providers.Sadly, we will be getting care somewhere else.
Terrible.. I make an appt and the therapist calls the afternoon of the appt to say he had a conflict. Then rescheduleand no one came to see if I was even there. Called at 845pm said he was running late.Really? Guy probably didn’t know he had an appt. epic fail. My choices will be to go elsewhere.I should get compensated for a no show... not right. At all. Way to show respect for your patients.
This unfortunately wasn’t the place for me. Was told that they took flex spending and after my session upon trying to pay was told only cash or check. Have left several voicemails to get the info to send the check and haven’t received the information yet.As a follow-up, after leaving several voicemails to cancel and discontinue the therapist continues to leave me voicemails to setup my next appointment. Not sure who isn’t doing tonight their job of replaying information but overall clearly disorganized.
I only can say positive things about the staff and the therapist I am seeing. They have been very helpful in my life.
The office took 165$ from me for my visit and stated my insurance would not cover anything because I hadnt met my deductible.. which wasnt true. I called my insurance and they said I shouldve only paid 33$ out of pocket. Upon calling back to BHC, they stated I would be refunded in 4-6 weeks. ((Havent got this yet.)) I just received a letter from my insurance that they ALSO paid BHC for this visit and my co pay of 33$.. BHC: if my insurance didnt cover the visit and you were about to turn me away unless I paid it all up front, why did you bill my insurance, as well? Looks extremely bad on your end. Or shall I say INSURANCE FRAUD. Scam artists. 😡
They do NOT answer the phone when calling during business hours, and sometimes they return phone calls. Ive had to take hours off work to come in person and address my question.
I took my daughter there just today because she said she needed help and the psychiatrist was so unprofessional, he was nasty and demeaning. When she went out to the secretary and asked for an appointment for therapy she had the nerve to ask why and expected my daughter to get into detail in front of the entire waiting room before she would set her up with an appointment. Never again!
Helpful staff and educated doctors who listen to your concerns.
The staff that works there are all so wonderful! Wouldnt go anywhere else 😊
Very pleasant experience.
This place is horrible. I called to make an appointment for family counseling. I went in for an intake appointment, which cost $90, and it took them a month to call me back just to tell me they didn’t have any counselors available. They should have told me this before having me come in and waste an hour of my life and $90.
CHECK WITH YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY BEFORE MAKING AN APPT WITH THIS PRACTICE/PROVIDERS IN THIS PRACTICE. I was misinformed when scheduling about provider being in network AT THIS PRACTICE.
Very caring and loving people
Dont expect much from this place. DONT TRUST WITH YOUR CARD INFO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very demanding to accept new patients but it is good that we were not accepted since reading the reviews shows that the service falls short of peoples expectations.
