I’m sure it depends on who you see, but I saw two therapists here who were grossly unqualified. I was experiencing physical symptoms that I believed were a result of my anxiety and had already received workups from doctors who couldn’t find anything wrong. The first therapist I saw spent the entire session speculating what medical conditions could be causing my symptoms. She told me I should Google my symptoms to try to find an answer. As someone with health anxiety, I had of course already done this and it’s well known that this is the opposite of how to properly treat health anxiety. I requested to switch and went to a guy who told me he didn’t do CBT because most people didn’t do the homework. After these experiences, I was very discouraged and stopped looking for a therapist for months. Luckily, I finally found a great therapist in private practice who diagnosed me with OCD (which was a possibility I brought up to both therapists I saw here - they both ignored me). While I’d hope at least some of their therapists are qualified, I can’t recommend this practice to anyone. They need to train their staff to recognize OCD and refer clients to qualified providers.
I have left every single session over the last year feeling understood, encouraged, and best of all motivated to make positive changes in my life. Everyone I have interacted with, from receptionists to my counselor, have been kind, courteous, and discreet. I appreciate their help and feel confident knowing I can actually apply the techniques we discuss into my everyday life.
They canceled my appointment that was scheduled months in advance, the day of. Refused to fill my psychiatric medication regardless. Left me without counsel and without medication. Was treated extremely rudely by the owner (Michael Frank) and incredibly horribly by the receptionist (Denise). Did not apologize for their giant mistake. Owner Michael Frank shut the receptionist window in my face. Receptionist Denise said she would have someone escort me out if I did not leave. I was only talking, trying to understand how they could do that to a psychiatric patient, absolutely no violence or threat of violence. They offered no solution or help on their part to get me my medication that I was supposed to get today. If you care about your health or about good business do not patronize this business. It is a sham and a scam.
Its ok but did not feel the Dr. Was concerned enough to keep me on medication that has worked well for years but changing them out to what would be better in his opinion but caused negative side effects to my health
Awful. I was diagnosed incorrectly and the therapy services offered were so rushed and non meaningful.
