DQ and Joseph were quick, efficient, thorough, kind and super helpful.Our duct was leaking cool air under the house. Moved into a home with an ancient AC that didn’t work, after calling different companies in town Ablsolute Comfort was the only one able to come out the same day to help with a short term solution.Knowing we had to purchase a new unit We decided to use Absolute Comfort to purchase and install the new unit. From initial inspection and appraisal by Gary to the installation the process was less than two weeks. Melissa, the office manager, answered all of my calls and emails and kept me informed at all times.The installation was done by Chris, DQ, and Alijah. They showed up on time, removed the old unit, and installed the new unit in a couple of hours. They were extremely courteous and removed all of the debris/trash created by the process. They explained everything they were doing and made sure I didn’t have any questions before they left.Definitely a 5/5 star company, because of the quality of people who work there from the top down, and due to the efficiency of how they operate. Gary, DQ, and the rest of the team are rockstars, plain and simple! First they installed a new air handler to replace our old one that didnt match our condenser unit. That was DQ and sorry but I forget the name of the other gentleman with him, but they were great. Then we had something else we needed checked out and Gary said someone would be here within the hour, and I think it was Brad that showed up 48 minutes later. And finally, the true rockstar moment, Friday night of Memorial Day weekend our AC stopped blowing cold air and the condenser wasnt coming on, and after Gary called me and talked me through a few things to try and nothing worked, DQ came out here at 8PM (!) to check everything, and Gary himself came out around 9, and they finally isolated the issue to something super random and didnt leave until past 10PM. On a holiday weekend night! Thats who you want on your side. So a HUGE thank you to Gary and DQ for being on our side that night, and to the rest of the team who has helped us on the way. Both times they responded quickly to my calls sent we a text with with the name of the technician as well as his arrival time. The technician also contacted me when he was on the way. Both times Adam came to my home. He was very professional friendly and clean. My wife and I decided it was time to replace our aging central HVAC system so we called around to set up quotes. All companies contacted required at least 2 weeks to be able to come out, however Absolute Comfort only needed a couple days. After getting off the phone I realized our system had actually failed that day, NO A/C! I called Absolute back and Gary, the owner, said hed be at my house within the hour. He showed up within the hour, as promised, to take measurements for my quote and diagnosed that my current system was leaking Freon. He then called a tech who was there within another hour to refill the Freon. Gary advised me that I would have to pay for the house call, however if I accepted the job to replace my current system with him he would credit me the difference. Also, because our system had failed our install would be put on priority, about two weeks later. On install day there was an unexpected, strong thunderstorm that rolled through in the middle of installing the condenser unit outside. The guys pushed through the pouring rain to make sure my install was complete that day and I wouldnt go with out cool air. Amazing customer service, extremely responsive and top notch work! I highly recommend Gary and the guys and Absolute Comfort Home Services!

Gary and his entire staff at Absolute Comfort are as good as it gets!I only write reviews when the service and or experience is incredible or terrible.Not only is Gary the absolute best contractor in Key West and the Keys, he is also the best contractor I have ever worked with anywhere in the country!My AC went out on a blistering Saturday. I called Gary after hearing amazing things on the coconut telegraph. Gary called me right back to let me know he would not be able to come out that day as he was already overbooked. He then called me again in between jobs and talked me through a few simple solutions to fix my problem. We came to the conclusion that this was not an easy fix. Gary arrived the next morning (Sunday) and discovered that I had a grounded compressor, my system was shot! We were heading out of town that week and were not going to be around. I worked with Gary and his staff to get the new equipment ordered and the job scheduled. Proud new owner of a multi-zone split-system installed by Absolute Comfort. As far as Key West contractors go, this was by far the best experience Ive ever had. Gary and entire staff are VERY customer-oriented. Excellent attention to the details and quality. Finished the job ON-TIME (when has that ever happened in this town?). The skilled installers, Alain and Martin, even worked late Friday evening to meet the deadline. They also have a backup profession as a comedy duo, but I dont think they will need it.

A/C unit was not draining properly. Called Absolute Comfort and they were the only company that answered their phone when I called. And I called 3 (the other 2 still havent returned my call a day later). Unfortunately, in Key West, you learn to expect that there is no sense of urgency with most companies. Five stars because we are ‘absolute’-ly enjoying the results of an excellent experience with Absolute Comfort. I interviewed and received quotes from other companies, but chose Gary’s after a competitive quote and a thoughtful plan. He and his installer, Brad, proved able to work with our contractor to solve aesthetic issues which were important to us. Although Gary was hands-on for much of the time, Brad spent a few days on-site with our ‘crew’ and was a pleasure to have on the job. A competent young man. Though more recent to the area, these guys know the ropes, handle the permitting seamlessly and know their product. A mini-split system is a big investment for anyone—it is reassuring to know that this company is a phone call or text 😉 away.

Absolutely The Best!!We called yesterday regarding annual service to our B&Bs central AC units. Gary told us he could come out the next day. They showed up this morning, introduced themselves, asked us to show them what we needed done and promptly went to work. They were extremely professional, they were also tidy and neat. They asked questions, they didnt just assume. They wrote a list of suggestions but didnt try to push for more sales. We will absolutely use them again!

I contacted Absolute Comfort from Chicago when I noticed that my unit was not maintaining a constant temperature. Despite the distance and holiday season Gary and his crew (Daryl) were on-time to all appointments and installed a new A/C unit exactly when and as promised. They sent two professional Technicians, Brad and Gabe who were polite and very knowledgeable. They fixed my issue and got my A.C back up and running. The best AC company in the keys BY FAR. I am a property manager in Key West and have used nearly every AC company around. Gary, Martin & Cajun to the rescue! I can’t thank you guys enough for getting our ac unit up and running in the same day. I initially called sub zero first but was disappointed with how I was treated over the phone. We had a tree limb fall on our unit crushing a supply line to the condenser. Daryl and Adam went above and beyond in the servicing of an impressively disgusting AC unit. It was so blocked that the coils were freezing and water was dripping everywhere. They removed the unit, cleaned the coils (which at this point were becoming a self aware organic being), unclogged the drain pipe, and even serviced the outside compressor. All of this was completed the same day I called. Nice work boys!

Our AC unit was not cooling and there were a couple other issues with our HVAC system. I read through the Google reviews for Absolute Comfort Home Services and, based on the reviews, decided to call. Gary responded immediately, I was a little surprised as it was Saturday. He mentioned he could be there within 3 hours which was great for us. Long story short, Gary gave me a couple of tips that helped in the interim and then showed up a few minutes before our appointment time and fixed the unit. More importantly, he identified additional fixes (no charge to me) that should have been addressed by the previous technician. Most importantly, I asked him to check on our air handler and he found moldinside our air handler (and showed me) and provided options in how to deal with it. Gary is honest, highly capable, and cares about what he does. He did not try to sell me on anything, just practical solutions at a very reasonable price. I will also recommend Gary on my Next Door app for Bahama Village. Having moved to KW only 6 months ago, it is great to find someone honest that you can count on well into the future. Thanks Gary!

Excellent service and response time. Called this morning because outdoor unit stopped working. They gave me a time for later the same day. Showed up on time, identified the problem, replaced the part which they said was under warranty, only charged for labor, and they had the AC back up and running in an hour.The last 2 times we had AC problems other companies we used didnt have the part on hand so we had to wait 3+days for them to return and fix after the initial appt. which is terrible when temp is around 90.Absolute Comfort had the part on hand. This is a huge difference and relief from our service calls with other companies -- not having to wait days without air for them to order and reschedule the install. We were having problems with a relatively new A/C system for several months. The original installer and another local HVAC company couldnt diagnose the underlying issues and the fixes they attempted did not work. After reading reviews of Absolute Comfort, I decided to give them a try and I am so thankful I did. The owner Garys attention to detail was outstanding. He diagnosed numerous problems with the original install. He sent pictures and discussed each issue point by point. Absolute Comfort was able to completely redo the system within a couple of days of our initial conversation and it works perfectly. Absolute Comfort was a great find and I highly recommend them.

Another A/C company serviced our A/C, filled it with Freon, charged us a bloated amount for Freon and didnt check the system for leaks. Then they told us it was too old to fix. After losing half the Freon that was just put in, I called Gary at Absolute Comfort. He told me that our system was just fine and fixed the leak that should have been fixed in the first place for half the cost. Thanks, Gary.

Gary Humphries is the man! Our A/C stopped working on a Saturday afternoon, and after a hot, steamy night in the house we called around for help on Sunday. Gary answered the call and we were up and running within 2 hours. His weekend/emergency service call rate was reasonable and well worth it. We received text notices alerting us of each step in the process immediately after the phone call which was great to know he was underway. Gary was professional, courteous and explained the issues so that we could understand what was going on and what he was going to do to solve the problem. Gary was recommended to me after Irma blew 1 of 2 a/c units off the stand. He came right out and assessed the damage. It turned out that both units were damaged beyond repair so Gary gave me an estimate and placed the order. I was very happy with his professionalism and his ability to get the job done quickly. We called Absolute Comfort in a “panic” the Saturday night of New Year’s week-end with our extended family in town. Our AC went out (confusing because it was just installed last year by someone who is now retired). We called all over town and found, luckily, Absolute Comfort HVAC in Key West. The owner, Gary, was very pleasant and answered the phone himself. While he couldn’t make it that night, he had someone here first thing Sunday morning. Called on a Monday morning after waiting for a week on another AC repairman. Within 4 hours Absolute Comfort arrived and fixed the problems. Absolute Comfort just installed our new 3-ton American Standard HVAC system. His workmanship was exceptional and we simply could not be more pleased. Gary and his team got the job done on time and in budget as promised. Many of the buildings in Key West can pose unique challenges when installing HVAC, and ours was no different. But Gary figured out how to get it done, and when it required extra time, he still met his estimate. We offered to pay extra, and he said, “no, my quote is my quote.” He got the permit, did the job, cleaned the workspace, protected our roof, and closed the permit seamlessly. The inspector even remarked on what a fine job had been done during inspection. We have had some real challenges getting work done here. In fact, just getting contractors to show up at all is difficult. Gary and his team were the exact opposite of the norm. If you want the work done right, on time, on budget, and without any hassle, then Gary and the Absolute Comfort team should be your only call.

Gary saved Christmas. My wife and I have been holding out until next year to replace an old suitcase unit. When I walked into the door today and felt the heat I was overwhelmed with that sinking feeling you get when the AC craps out two days before your mother-in-law visits!! Whelp, I immediately took to google and found Garys reviews and made the call. Gary was able to swing by in between visits, immediately diagnosed the fault to a failed contactor and transformer, swapped out the parts, and sped along to his next emergency!!
