Renting a boat from Florida Friends was one of our families best times! They were beyond helpful and kind! It was amazing to go from reef to reef following the GPS coordinates on the boat. It really was a dream come true to be able to explore and see wildlife like that. We say stingrays, parrot fish, lobster, colors you couldn’t imagine, and just absolutely enjoyed the day with our 4 boys. I couldn’t have asked for anything better! We can’t wait to rent again from Florida Friends !!

Absolutely a 5/5 star experience. I really miss owning a boat and have not been snorkeling in the keys for several years, so I reserved a boat with plans to snorkel some of the famous Key Largo spots.We were just a bit early, but Cole (the host) and the boat was ready and waiting for us and ready to go. The boat and everything on it was in good repair and worked flawlessly (radio, anchor, boat hook to grab the mooring buoy lines, GPS, depth finder, VHF radio, flares, life jackets).... everything.The outboard was a 225 (instead of a lame 150, for example) and started and ran as smooth as butter.Cole sized up my boating experience, not so much in a judgmental way, but seemingly only so he knew how much help and advice to offer.He gave great advice on where to go given the somewhat choppy conditions and that really saved the day.He also gave us a great deal on fuel which he was able to get from a cheaper source than what the nearby marina offers.I could not have had a better experience.

5 star experience from start to finish, from my first phone call to Florida Friends Boat Rental and Cole to our checkout on our last day of rental the service was top notch. Cole is very hands on, and as other reviewers have mentioned very knowledgeable. Our group of six isnt the most organized and Coles patience with us never wavered. This wasnt the rental company recommended to me by the condo owner, but I decided on Florida Friends based on the reviews and I definitely made the right decision. If you want to rent a boat for a day or a week you will not be disappointed with Cole and Florida Friends Boat Rental.

Terrific day on the water with a great rental boat ! Awesome customer service from start to finish and we highly recommend Cole and his Florida Friends Boat Rental company! He is very knowledgeable about his boats and the boating areas in Key Largo. He made us very comfortable with our boat and reviewed all safety related equipment. He also suggested different spots where we could take our boat and we had a blast !! Snorkeling, swimming and walking the different sandbars. What a great experience renting from Florida Friends. From online sign up to meeting at the dock, very easy and seamless. Cole was very knowledgeable of the local reefs and accommodating to our schedule. The boat was very well maintained, the touch screen GPS was an awesome feature and really made the trip, with all the major reefs already marked and easy to find. I’ve rented from many companies in the Keys, they are simply the best.

My wife and I had a great experience with FFBR. Pick up was easy and Cole was very informative. We used his tips to get us to places weve not heard about. The boat ran great. The reefs was beautiful. The water clarity was amazing. We had such a good time. We would love to do this again and reccomend FFBR to any boating enthusiasts.

Great day on the water! The boat was really nice and clean. The owners were awesome and showed us the best place to go snorkeling! It was some of the best snorkeling we’ve ever done. My son said it was amazing 😊 it was easy and affordable. Would highly recommend!

My wife and I rented a 23 Ft Cobia from them this past Friday (6/10/21) and they were great and easy to deal with! The boat we rented came with a GPS that allowed us to navigate to Canon Patch Reef in Key Largo and also allowed us to stay out of the trouble shallow areas. Only recommendation I would encourage them to is to instruct renters Ok to park at Skippers Restaurant and walk down to the docks to the boats., we had to ask inside the Marina Del Mar Lobby to find where to park and where to meet the boat.

Had an absolutely great day on the water. Rented the century 23, ran great with a ride so smooth it put the girls to sleep the entire day. Was able to catch some mahi and snapper. Boat was well maintained, ran great!

Ian is super nice and easy going. We went out on a windy day and he said to bring the boat back for a full refund if we felt uncomfortable. The day kicked butt! Boat performed admirably. Fished, swam, cruised the mangroves. Fun, fun, mega-fun! Docked at Gilberts under the bridge and had lunch. Glorious Day!

This is the best boat rental around. The boat was clean, good working condition, and the owners were very nice and helpful. We rented a boat from another place the day before and it was falling apart. This was a great, safe boat!

We rented the 23 ft century fishing boat the end of March for 4 days. It was a great boat. Awesome Garmin tracked everywhere I went and showed all the water depths. He informed me the best places to fish with the wind conditions we had. I’m renting the same boat next year.

My family and I have rented twice from Florida friend boat rental and the experience each time has been great. Everything has been very smooth, from the reservation to the run through the boat, to having a great day out on the water and to the return. Ian has been wonderful, very helpful and always answers promptly. The boat runs very smooth, we rented the 23 Wellcraft and it was a beautiful ride. Another plus is the location easy access to the ocean side centrally located.

We had the best day of our summer vacation renting a boat from Florida Friends. The staff is kind and accommodating which was very comforting. The boats are clean, beautiful, smooth and easy to navigate. Plus the bumpin sound system made the day magical. Quite a thing having a soundtrack being 5 miles out to sea. Sometimes it’s hard to give anything 5 stars but this time it’s easy. Had an amazing time taking the 24ft century out for a cruise all over key largo and to the sand bars. Online booking was a breeze and then getting the boat was just a pleasure. Really nice people, they gave us ice for our drinks and took the trash at the end. They went the extra mile. Will definitely be back very soon.

Another great experience. Back over MLK weekend we rented a boat. The team made sure we are safe and know what is happening out there before we leave. Due to the weather we got a late start and missed the tide, they provided a path that got us to our fishing spots safely. Will continue using this service over others in the area. I rented a boat for the weekend with them and the guy at the dock, Ian, was fantastic. I am not much of a boater, so he explained everything that I needed to know on the boat. He also explained about the shallow waters in the area. There is a GPS on board that will show you the shallow, but remember that the GPS doesnt drive for you, you are in charge of driving. Ian was awesome!! Rented out one of his boats from him a few weeks ago with my boyfriend, brother & a friend and it was such a smooth experience. I told Ian i was coming from Miami and wanted to rent out the boat & rather than renting the boat out to someone else he waited for us to get there, so nice of him!! Boat is SUPER CLEAN, well kept upholstery, runs amazing. Speakers work great too!! Definitely enough room for up to 8 people. Ian even showed us a bunch of fishing spots on the gps. Great communication and service. Rented the Century 2300 center console which was perfect size for 4 people and the somewhat rough Atlantic side. Took the waves very wellThe 2 stroke was a little surprising and it coughed and smoked. Embarrassing when i pulled into the Mariners Club and it stalled out as i was attempting to dock.The rub rail flew off while we were boating which was exciting (thought it was going to wrap the prop), but it stayed intact at the bow and stern.Ian met me at the fuel dock and since i had to leave, he was gracious and professional enough to finish the re-fueling for me.The GPS was very useful and the hard copy navigation maps were a must for the tricky shallows and finding the off-shore reefs. Made for a relaxed captain!Brand new business, so ill give it a higher ranking than i would for an established business and im sure with time, itll get better.

Thank you Ian and team! As avid boaters, we were hoping for a capable, well maintained center console. We weren’t disappointed! The 238 Wellcraft was just what we were looking for. We had a perfect day on the water! Heading south from the marina past Rodrequez Cay, we ventured through Tavernier Creek to the bay side and had an excellent lunch at Marker 88, followed by a swim at anchor on the return trip and a quick stop at Key Largo Fisheries for a take out order (dinner) of Stone Crab. Wow! The perfect “Keys” experiance. We’ll be back!
