They came to my home and fertilized my lawn. We have backyard pets and I asked them to stay far away from them. They did not. I DO NOT recommend them! They do not care about your pets or your lawn!

Very disappointed with this business. I prepaid for 4 mosquito treatments in early spring. They did not come to do the first spray until the middle of June, even though I had called them in May asking when they would be coming, and they said by Memorial Day. I then had to call them again in July to come spray again, and it took them a week to get to me. 2 weeks later we were infested with mosquitos again. I called again and asked them to come do an extra spray, which is supposed to be included with the payment. I was then told if the mosquitoes were that bad I should add additional sprays, and have them come every 2 weeks instead of once a month. I agreed and said I would like an additional 2 sprays this summer. That was a month ago and they have not been out to spray my lawn since. So this summer they have done 2 of my sprays so far that were prepaid. It is almost the end of August and I still have 2 more sprays left that I prepaid for, and we are yet again battling mosquitos. My 2 year old daughter is terribly allergic to mosquito bites, and can barely even be outside now. I do not need my lawn sprayed in September and October, it makes absolutely no sense. I will not be using this company again for my masquito treatment.

I have been with lawn doctor for about 2 years now and have spent hundred of dollars with them over this time. I have paid for multiple power seedings, over seeding, weed and feed, bug sprays, you name it...they told me it would work. Over the years they have failed many times. Once I was working from home and watch the lawn doctor truck go to my neighbors, who also had lawn doctor, then bill me for the service...that did get corrected. However, look for yourself, does this look like an organization that is taking care of all its clients? Well, after having to pull all the weeds on my own, Im now in the market for a new lawn maintenance company.

We live on a lake so mosquito control is very important to us. It is great to enjoy our summertime outside without needing bug spray on.

My lawn was in marginal (at best) condition. Each year there was a noticeable improvement: now, after just three years, Ive got a beautiful lawn at a super-reasonable price

Canceled their service after 2 applications. The initial application they were here for about 10 minutes tops. The 2nd application about the same amount of time. Guy performing the job was obviously in a rush to get in and out. Called to cancel after 2nd application and told them that I see a ton of striping in my yard, meaning their “patented spreader technology” does not evenly coat the lawn as it should to make sure the lawn is evenly fed. Never heard back nor did they care to salvage the business. The only positive was that they were responsive to coming out when asked to, the subsequent work though was lack luster. I would say they are more about quantity of jobs versus quality.

Have 2 acres grass/lawn. My neighbor raises bees for honey, so he doesn’t remove his dandelions. I have no crab grass or dandelions because of Lawn Doctor.

Two ant applications that we were sold would eradicate ants later and tired of promises not met. Look at this picture! Thinking profit has become more important than performance. Every person that has gone out have been super nice and I love how you can pay online super easy. I have seen so much growth in my yard in just a month. After the first visit the weeds were already dying off. Very happy with the service and the customer service.

Signing up is easy & I like their notification system so we are aware of when theyll be doing our lawn. Wish they wouldve gotten first application in earlier this year though. All our neighbors who use other services had theirs done 2 weeks before us. Also wish they took soil samples to know what would be most effective. I dont believe all lawns are created equal. We are in clay and have a lot of moss.

Fertilizer weed control, etc. My yard never looked so good. Any concern I have they address it immediately. Cost is very reasonable.

Really has improved my grass. The fertilizer service is actually very affordable. It didnt end up being much more than if i did it myself. Fertilizer they use seems to work much better than store brand stuff.

They have done a good job. I have saw improvements in my lawn with the first treatment. It was a good experience talking with them on the phone. The website was easy with what billing and payments. The person that treated the lawn came in and did the work, put up the sign, and was gone. It was quick and easy.

This is my third year using Lawn Doctor.The lawn looks better than it ever has.I have always taken the prepay for the season which provides a nice discount.I have also opted for the yearly aeration in the fall which seems to really help.

Lawn Doctor came out to my yard when I asked for a quote and walked it before giving me recommendations on steps that should be taken. I also appreciate their communication prior to each visit. They let me know when they are coming the day before so I can clean up the kids’ toys.

After a disastrous year of trying to take care of my own lawn, we decided to use Lawn Doctor this year because our neighbors were using them and didnt have anything bad to say about them. Their product (lawn care) is fine - the grass is green. However, their customer service is ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS. They could greatly increase their business if they worked just a little harder at making customers happy along with proving a good service.

Have tried several lawn maintenance companies in the past but for one reason or another, my lawn never looked good. Hired Lawn Doctor in 2018 and was more than pleased because my lawn was GREEN!. They had timely visits, with excellent communication before and after. I highly recommend them.

Wont name the the company i was previously with. I called Lawn Doctor after getting a few recommendations by word of mouth from neighbors. The main reason i was looking around was poor customer service from the company i was previously with. I spoke with Aric and he was extremely helpful! My lawn is much better looking now after switching. My lawn is green, thick and weed free as promised! Big thumbs up!

For years, I’ve had a professional fertilizing service. Thought I’d give Lawn Doctor a try. Tons of weeds! Never had weeds until now! Can’t reach them (won’t call/email back) to discuss. Terrible customer service including saying I owe for service when I prepaid the year. I’m also over their gimmicks and sales tricks via technology; watch out. In short, their quality is just plain bad, my lawn proves it. Don’t waste your time with Lawn Doctor.

Our lawn looked the best it ever had when we had Lawn Doctor doing our lawn care. We do not live in their area any longer, and we have yet to find another company that can get our lawn looking the way it did when we were able to have Lawn Doctor service our lawn.

Lawn doctor has done wonders for my yard. This was my first year having a lawn company come out and I would for sure never use any other company. Lawn doctor will be my go to for every season. I struggled to keep my yard free of weeds on my own and kept getting bare spots in certain areas. After a season of treatments my yard is weed free, thick, green, and no more bare spots!

I was signed up with them for 3 months and they never came out when they said they would, werent reachable half the time, and seem to be run by a staff of inexperienced employees who could not care less.Dear Owner - We signed up for your service in the late summer. You sent out Josiah/Isaiah who spent the first 20 minutes on a personal call, performed half the job and then complained that he was always sent with the wrong equipment or malfunctioning equipment. He promised to come back to finish the initial weeding. He didnt. When I called weeks later, they sent him back and he claimed that then, too, his equipment was malfunctioning. I called back a third time and requested to have them send someone else and complained about him; the person on the phone assured me that they would send someone else and apologized. 6 weeks later, after multiple text messages alerting me to upcoming services, no one ever came so I called to cancel the service. The person I spoke to didnt care to ask why I was canceling.

Had them install brand new yard in new build... its been 6 months now and my yard is still a complete mess after 2 applications of their Powerseeding, there is very spotty growth at best. After the first application I had 3 foot tall weeds everywhere, they came to redo and simply sprayed the weeds then just mowed down the weeds and power seeded again. I have to keep bugging them to come check it, re- apply, etc so really hoping they can figure out a solution. I hope they can live up their word to fix it as they have tried but it requires constant monitoring and nagging from me. All of the neighbors had hydro-seeding done and their yards look great so clearly the powerseeding is inferior.

This company is a class act and their mosquito treatment works.(TLTR)My wife and I were considering spraying our lawn for mosquitoes, I called the Lawn Doctor to schedule an appointment. They required a credit card number to confirm the appointment and I couldnt find my wallet. I never confirmed the appointment and forgot all about it. A week later i saw a pesticide sign in my yard, I thought it was odd but figured maybe the township had done some spraying because the mosquitoes were truly awful. The pesticides worked like a charm.6 weeks later (the day of this review) I see a van parked in front of my house with a Lawn Doctor decal. The name seemed vaguely familiar but it didnt strike an exact chord. They got out and started spraying my lawn. I walked out and asked them why they were spraying (thinking the township may have ordered it) and they said I had an appointment and had had a previous one.It all came back to me at that moment, I explained what had happened and that there had been a miscommunication and that I didnt need my lawn sprayed. However, I was willing to pay for the first treatment because it had made such a big difference with the mosquitoes. He said not to worry about the charges at all! This is how a classy business operates. I will definitely be calling them the next time I need my lawn sprayed!

Poor customer service. They over-promised and under-delivered. They said they would do a yard analysis to determine how to best take care of my yard. Never heard back from anyone once I booked my first application. I have had to call 4 times to cancel services after not being satisfied and have still not heard back from the owner or received a refund. Go with another company.

We all know how the environment has a mind of its own, but with Kendalls team they make sure the lawns meet their customers expectations by any means necessary. We had a beautiful lawn at our previous home thanks to Lawn Doctor. After 4 failed attempts to grow grass with hydro seed at our new house we made the smart move to call Aric for advice. We had more weeds than grass and didn’t know what to do. He recommended the powerseed and treatment. I can already tell his plan is working. There is a huge improvement with the weeds, and the seed took very well. We are looking forward to a beautiful lawn this year. Thanks for the help!

First time i have used a lawn service. I have had two treatments so far and have had no CRAB GRASS!!! :) Second treatment the weeds are wilting. My lawn has never started out so good.

SERVICE IS AWFUL: Started there service based on all the good reviews thinking this would be a good company, that was not the case.Paid for a year service with aeration and lawn evaluation in advance.They never came out to do the lawn evaluation until I called them. When it was time for a lawn treatment they never showed up, I had to call and then all of a sudden they were there the next day.Some lawn treatments where never completed at all and now I cant get a hold of them to refund my money that was never used for the prepaid services.I would suggest finding another lawn service company and do not pay for services in advance, there is no incentive for them to show up, they already have your money!!!!!!!!!!RESPONSE TO LAWN DOCTOR:----------------------------------------------------------------------------Lies to cover up your bad review to make your company look good when you dont follow through with what you promise. Below is an email now 5 weeks old that was sent to me and still have not received a refund or any follow up from Lawn Doctor to this issue, as promised in the email below.No update was ever given or followed through. Tells you exactly how a company is run.EMAIL From LAWN DOCTOR________________________________________________submitted the paperwork to have your balance be refunded to you in form of a check on Friday, November 30th. Checks can take up to 2-3 weeks to process before they are sent out. This is not a Lawn Doctor of Grand Rapids policy, this is a corporate policy that we are to abide by.I will check on the status of the check today to see if it has processed. If it has not, i would assume it would be cleared within the next few days. If it has already been processed, it will be in the mail and on its way to you.I will give you an update towards the end of the day.

I was fed up with lack of results I was getting with my lawn. I had spent 3 years trying different products and approaches and finally just gave up. I called Lawn Doctor a month or so ago and they came out that same day to seed and fertilize. The lawn is looking much much better and the grass is growing! It still has a ways to go, but the Lawn Doctor is definitely worth the try.
