WMI Bike helped me shop for my first road bike - the Trek Domane AL 3 disc. When a fulfillment delay occurred from the manufacturer (Trek), they helped me find a comparable bike that was coming in sooner, and they allocated that bike for me. I ended up with a better bike - the Domane AL 4 Disc - a month sooner than I would have gotten the original. The service was great all the way from shopping for months for the right bike, to buying shoes, to test riding the bike in the parking lot. They even include a free 1 year tune up of my new bike. WMI Bike are very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them.

Had a bad tube, so I had a new tube AND tire installed, after the guy convinced me to do so... explained to me that my current tire was about to pop. The new tire Lasted less than 2 miles. Complete blowout. They refused to fix it... Should have stuck with my gut, bought the tube, and did the repair myself. Unfortunate.

I don’t go to bike stores. I fix my own bikes. I know what I’m doing. Sometimes I need to venture out for a part. I’ve visited this store twice now. They were not able to help me last time and they weren’t able to help me today. But they sure will make you wait. Last time it was 2 weeks. This time it was only a half hour. If you want a new ebike and you want to pay 2.5k for a middle of the road one, go for it. Otherwise, find a mechanic you like and take it to his house to get your bike fixed. These guys are salesmen. That’s all they are.

The staff is easy to talk to and understand - they explain bike basics in common language that a novice can understand and appreciate (not intimidating!) The bike pump that I purchased was competitively priced.

My husband & I came to the store on a Monday to look at an E-assist trike for me and a recumbent trike for us. We test rode 3 trikes and talked with Everett. He is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. He has an E-assist bike, so he can talk about how he uses it in different situations. We came back on Wednesday and bought what we came looking for (Everett was off on Tuesday). We were able to take the E-assist home with us, but couldnt get the tandem in our truck due to its length. I was buying my first ‘good’ mountain bike, so I stopped by several of the bike shops around town and test rode a bunch of bikes. All of the shops did a phenomenal job working with me to figure out which bike would fit my needs (and budget). The bike that I decided on was at West Michigan Bike, but if I hadn’t had such a great experience there then I would have chosen a different shop. They were informative, helpful, and used everything that I told them to come up with several recommendations. They did not pressure me in any way, which was also appreciated. I recently stopped into West Michigan Bike and Fitness on a whim. I was only looking to see what bikes they had on the showroom floor when I discovered some year-end demo closeouts.Upon walking in I was almost instantly greeted and helped. The sales associate was knowledgeable and took the time to go over even the smallest detail or simple question. I was able to quickly demo a couple different bikes with no hassle from the sales team, and they let me take my time by having an inviting and no pressure experience.At the end of the day, I purchased a lightly used demo bike for thousands less than the newer version. It does have very minor dings and scratches, but I knew this going into the purchase. So far the bike has been a blast to ride and everything the sales associate told me was accurate.If I could I would give 4 1/2 stars. I thought the team was superb with little complaints. Its too bad they dont give discounts on parts, free service or anything else you get from some of the smaller shops when purchasing a bike. Rating a 5 star instead.

I recently got my second bike fit from West Michigan Bike and Fitness and they made adjustments on my bike based on the fit. It was completely different than the previous year as I had some hand issues and other adjustments. I also upgraded to a better set of rims and wheels based on their recommendations. I went for my first ride of the season last night and its like a completely different (significantly better) bike than before as its faster and less effort to ride. The hand issue has almost completely disappeared as a result of the fit. I have had the pleasure of working with Evert and the staff and they are awesome people to work with.

WMBF Kentwood is a great store! They have a huge selection of bikes, gear, and accessories - everything I need to ride. The staff is knowledgeable and can often get my bikes in for minor repairs or maintenance very quickly.

Having been into mountain biking in the past it was a big transition for me to get into a good road cycling setup, having never done it. JJ as well as everyone else at the shop made the experience not only painless but exciting. I have no doubt that with their help I have everything I need to get on the road and start to lay miles. Looking forward to this new world of cycling and couldn’t have asked for a better shop to share this journey with!

My second bike was built to order with all hand selected parts. I couldnt be more pleased with my purchase and the people who informed my decisions to select various components and parts to arrive at my own personalized bike suited to my specific bicycling requirements. I will be sure to frequent their shop whenever I look to purchase cycling gear.

Very professional staff who is always eager to get you on the right bike and not just looking to get another bike out the door. Have lost count on how many bikes Ive purchased here but Ive bought kids bikes to multiple high end bikes. Have no reason to ever go elsewhere. My credit card statement also says that I purchase a lot of parts and accessories here too.. Always have what I need at great prices.

Above and beyond - super helpful and accommodating.I came in with a front derailleur shifting problem the Tuesday before a scheduled weekend triathlon event. When I walked in with my bike someone came up to help me and directed me right away to the repair services and got someone to assist me. The employee who helped me in repairs checked my bike out immediately and let me know what problems he was seeing, which alerted me to an oddity in my rear derailleurs and a problem with my brakes. He explained to me which problems were serious, what services he would recommend for them and why, and what those costs would be. I decided to go with a basic tune up to take care of the issues, and while the initial time estimate was about a week and a half, upon hearing that I was under time constraints another employee spoke up and said he could get it done by the end of the week, so they put the order in under rush. I got a text message and email the very next day that it was ready for pickup. I tested my gears and brakes when I picked it up and my bike has never run more smoothly. I could not have asked for better and more helpful service.

I am a long-term customer of this place, but no more.I was told that my bike would be finished by today (Thursday), which is important to me since Im leaving on a trip tomorrow. This shop has had it since Monday. I called this morning just to be sure, and was told that it would not be ready due to an emergency with the mechanic. I asked if there was anyone working there who could adjust the gears, since that was my main problem. No, there was not a soul working today at this shop that knew how to adjust gears, or who would take the time to help me. There was no offer to help, no suggestion about what I might do. No offer to have one of the other WMB&F locations fix it. Nothing. Terrible customer service.So I picked up my bike and brought it somewhere else, where the very pleasant, socially graceful mechanic adjusted my gears on the spot, and charged me nothing.You can guess who will have my business in the future.
