This is the third Subaru Forester I have bought at this car dealership. While I have always had good service, this experience was the best. My salesman, Reid, was wonderful. He was helpful and patient with all my questions and concerns even after I picked up my new car. I look forward to continuing to have my Forester serviced at this dealership as well. Exceptional service.There was a slight communication error when we ordered a spare key fab for our car. The service department went out of their way to fix the issue and left us highly satisfied customers. We love our Subaru Outback, it’s a little tank, it’s running strong at over 170k. Very Honest Dealership when it comes to Parts & Service. I called around Chicago & NW Indiana dealers and quotes were all over the place. I felt that I could bring my car to this dealership and would be treated and served fairly. That was indeed the case. I got a loaner for the duration of the repair. People were courteous and very accommodating.
I made a online appointment for an oil change and service. They did exactly what I wanted at a reasonable price. The short wait was comfortable in their nice lounge. And they even washed my car!

After visiting a few different Subaru dealerships in IL, having bad experiences with each of them, Zeigler Subaru of Kenosha / salesperson Lori G. came with the highest recommendations.My experience with Zeigler (and Lori) is nothing short of excellent. I would give the dealership (and Lori) a rating of 11+ stars but the rating scale doesnt go that high in Google.Lori was able to answer any question I had about the vehicles I looked at, show and explain all the costs. And, to boot, in a sellers market (chip shortage, very few cars), I felt like I was getting a very good deal. This was the exact opposite experience I had from other dealers, who in my humble opinion, were not the least bit interested in selling me a car.So far I have experienced the front-end of the house (sales, finance, and management), as well as the back-end of the house (service). This was my first time here and I found a top notch operation! Very efficient check in (and out) and, despite being busy, the wait for my turn was short. Rachel was very helpful and good at explaining what the technician discovered. They made a repair for symptoms I had been asking about for over a year at another place that turned out to be potentially life threatening. I will definitely return for service here. The staff was friendly, service done nicely, car wash is a touch I always enjoy and count on. It would have been nice if staff wore masks at least while dealing with customers just to be considerate of others and for a little more peace of mind.
When writing up my bill, the technician did not realize I had bought a rather expensive maintenance program and nose to tail plan and that this oil change was actually covered. According to the plan, I should also have been able to get replacement wiper blades. I was told that never would be offered.Communication from the dealer even after purchasing the car was poor at best.
Couldnt be happier with the entire process of my recent dealing about my cars problem. From the first contact with Ty, and the scheduling process, the loaner request, the estimate of the cost I could expect, to Zach, in the service department . He took the time to explain what would be done, how long it would take, how he would get in touch with me, even showing me some of the features of the loaner. He even solved a problem that I had with my second car, sitting back in my garage at home. He sent me over to Chris in the parts department, who fixed both of my ailing key fobs of that second car. At the end of the day, I actually had two cars that were in better working condition than they were at the start of that morning,. Overall, it confirmed that this dealership is top notch, and my next purchase will be from them.

I leased a vehicle while previous ownership and have nothing but great about the entire staff and process then. Today I called to schedule regular maintenance service and ask a few questions. Everything went well until I asked if I could get shuttled home, 5 minutes away, so I could get my sons work to go to work, the tech ignored the question twice and offered additional services twice. While this may seem like nothing (and it is), and from the reviews I read, it makes leery about how they do business now and if I want to get into a new lease with them once mine is up. Ill definitely look around first. If they cant give me a simple no for an answer, they probably are not willing to be upfront and honest.
Had the best experience at this dealer, I worked directly with Nia the finance manager and Reid the salesman. They were both very positive, personable, fast, efficient and not pushy. Everytime I called the dealership and asked for Nia she always ALWAYS answered the phone. When I showed up with my trade in they gave me an amazing amount for it. I got the vehicle I wanted which Im very satisfied with, Reid was awesome, very personable, funny and very laid back. I had such a horrible experience at my last dealership, stood there for hours, was misserable, felt forced and when I left I felt like I just fist fought like 10 ppl LOL. Not at Zeier of Kenosha. I was in and out of there in less than 3 hours I had such a great time they were quick had everything ready for me not one issue at all. Plus my wife drives a subaru and will most likely end up purchasing her next vehicle from them. I highly highly HIGLY recommend. And shout out to the GM for giving me a great deal on the trade in as well. You guys are awesome thank you again! Although the service was fast, I found the cover of the cabin air filter lying on the floor in the car. It made me question whether the oil change, tire rotation, and multipoint inspection was done completely and thoroughly. Kind of frustrating given I paid $80+.
Our saleswoman, Patricia, took time to show my 85 year old mother 5 used cars, different models. But all within her price range and style that she wanted. She let my mom drive each car. She was friendly, patient, and knowlegeable. The experience was very satisfying and truly enjoyable. Kenosha Subaru has a comfortable nd inviting environment with no pressure sales. They had a lot of inventory to work with too. My mom will be telling all her friends where she bought her new (used) Subaru! We highly recommend Kenosha and Patricia!

Visiting this dealership was a terrible experience. I had contacted them regarding two specific models I wanted to see side by side and possibly take a test drive. They contacted me and told me that both vehicles were in stock, and set an appointment. The day of the appointment, I called to confirm that they in fact had both vehicles in stock, and the guy I spoke with said they definitely had both vehicles there.We drove nearly an hour to get there. When we arrived a young salesman with glasses, forearm tattoos and a terrible attitude was standing outside.When we came in, and told him again that we had an appointment, he did not even ask which vehicles we were there to see, and had no interest in finding that out, despite our asking him - don’t you even want to know what we are looking for? He insisted that we give him a drivers license and he refused to say whether or not the vehicles were in fact there unless we gave him a drivers license.As soon as he had copied the drivers license he admitted that they in fact had neither vehicle. But he could show us other vehicles. He was very disrespectful and condescending.It is very rude and a bad business practice to set and confirm appointments with potential customers and waste their time. We have been to many dealerships and we understand that stock is low everywhere, there is no reason to lie and treat customers with such disrespect and use a sleazy “bait and switch” tactic especially when you do not have inventory.We would have appreciated simple honesty and they could have notified us when the vehicles were available to look at.We felt comfortable coming here because we know several people who have purchased cars here and the dealership has good reviews but this was a terrible experience and the way we were treated was extremely disrespectful and this salesman reinforces every negative stereotype of car salesmen.

Had 40k for a vehicle and because he wouldnt take $200 off he became disrespectful. Wouldnt ever recommend anyone working with them. Terrible way to do business. Unfortunately, we had a poor overall experience that was very much avoidable. We reached out with interest in a newly listed, used vehicle. Very good initial reception.Despite a delay in receiving a complete Carfax report, delays with a complete vehicle inspection (causing some buyer uncertainty), receiving the lowest trade-in offer of multiple sources, changing our salesperson during the process, and an unwillingness to negotiate...we still tried to work out deal.We increased our offer twice, and our offers were declined. Thats just business, which we understand, so we lifted our hold. The issue is how things were handled after...Within the hour, we decided that we would make a full asking price offer, assuming we can see the completed inspection as available (was supposed to be completed the previous Friday). Josh/John said they were going to show the vehicle to someone regardless and get back to us if still available, acknowledging we have still not seen an inspection. Thanks, but no thanks.A weeks worth of communication for all parties involved and still have not seen an inspection report. We opted to move on.. Poor business principles given the circumstances. Blessing in disguise this didnt work out. Kaelie was great to work with, for the record. I normally dont leave reviews, but hopefully this will help others.
The service experience was excellent but the payment process was not very cordial.
I test drove a minivan. The salesman was very friendly in the beginning, but after the test drive, the haggling began. I pointed out some work that potentially needed to be done and I felt like he was trying to sweep it under the rug. He said that there was no warranty for the minivan even though over the phone I was told that there are a range of warranties depending on finances. He said that someone was coming in the following day and agreed to the internet price so if I wanted to have my own mechanic check it out it had to be done ASAP and if I wanted to, I could make a $250 refundable deposit and they would hold it for me. There were a lot of holes in what he was telling me whether or not any of that was true.
I really like this place. Great staff all around. I even take my wifes Ford here over local Ford service centers. They may not always have the part we need in stock, which I understand. They specialize in Subaru. Its all about the quality of service. In regards to my BRZ, theyve always done a good job with preventative maintenance. I will continue to allow Kenosha Subaru to work on my vehicles.

When it came to the paperwork I was directed to Jesse Matos.Initially Jesse seemed great, until I denied the extra packages that he was offering. I had already discussed my budget with him and that he didn’t need to try to sell me on anything extra, which he proceeded to do anyways. I listened to his spiel and again, reminded him that I was happy with where my monthly payments were at and that’s when his tone changed, and he became rude. He was overly pushy, disregarding what I had already told him several times. He started making remarks about how I seemed to be “very reserved” and asking if I know someone in car sales, have I had a bad experience with people trying to get over on me at dealerships, etc. Despite his behavior we continued, and he shared what my interest rate was. Unhappy with the rate, I asked to see the documentation of my credit pull because I was surprised and was expecting something lower. He refused to show me the document and brought me a generic piece of paper with what my possible interest rates could be. He gave me the higher end of the options and had took it upon himself to add .4%. When I asked him about it further, he stated, “we need to make a profit,” and questioned me saying, “you don’t work for free do you??” So not only was that extremely unprofessional, he also did not check over the paperwork and had the completely wrong bank on my documents! When I pointed it out, he took no accountability and blamed it on another coworker. The Kenosha Subaru website states that the sales staff is there to make your auto shopping experience fun, easy and financially advantageous. Jesse Matos’ performance directly contradicts that, so I’d highly suggest working with someone else to finalize your purchase!

Paid for a full safety inspection and picked up the next day. I expected to be able to have a conversation with someone who knew details about the inspection. Instead, I struggled to get any information at all out of a service advisor who didnt know specifics about my vehicle. As we talked, his answers become shorter and he provided less details. I got the feeling that once he realized I wasnt going to be paying them to fix the vehicle, that he no longer wanted to discuss the inspection with me.My inspection results included several unexplained diagnosis, such as a faulty water pump and head gaskets leak, without evidence or reasoning. I had specifically requested details about the structural integrity of the undercarriage, shock mounts, suspension end points. I was not provided sufficient explanation or details, considering I paid extra for a more detailed inspection.Update: the report was wrong and contained several high dollar repairs that were unnecessary and would not have fixed the actual issue. Had I allowed Kenosha Subaru to go ahead with repairs they suggested, I would be out over $5000 and the issue that was ACTUALLY at fault would not have been fixed still.Update 2: Contacted by Service manager. The explanation was that the mechanic was trying to save me money by suggesting the vehicle safety inspection instead of multiple diagnostic inspections. This would have been great, if the primary diagnostic task would have been completed correctly. If a vehicle safety inspection was not going to lead to a diagnosis of the primary issue (overheating), than it was not a good recommendation. I was left with a lot of vague information, when I wanted specific information to begin with.Bottom line: the mechanic missed the reason for overheating and suggested the water pump was bad without evidence. Better communication about what would and would not have been included in the diagnostic and full safety inspection reports could have helped too. Part of the service advisors job is customer satisfaction, and the guy I dealt with seemed uninterested in ensuring his customer left satisfied. The service manager was professional, reaching out to discuss the issue. Nothing specific was done to resolve the issue, but at least he investigated.
The oil and filter change was done in under an hour, as well as, some minor warranty work. All of my questions were answered courteously and promptly.

The service department staff is always welcoming and attentive to whatever needs I have had with my Subaru. Pricing is a little higher for some services compared to smaller garages in the area. However, being that they are Subaru experts, there is a peace of mind knowing they know what they are looking at and looking for within my vehicle.

I cannot find my first review so I am making another. At first we gave a 5 star for the salesman Anthony. Everything was great, he was great and we had no issue until later. We bought a used Honda Van from Kenosha Subaru in September 2020. This van was missing the 2nd key, owners manual and a head rest for the middle seat. We were told they would contact the previous owners to get the items back. We were told by Anthony he would hand deliver these to us once they came in. Well it is now April 2021 and with numerous phone calls and laughs saying ya ya we are contacting the previous owners we still have not received ANY of these items. With winter approaching and this van not being remote start we ended up buying a 2nd key and just recently bought an owners manual. I am still trying to get a head rest. Very disappointed in this place. We will never go back to buy any vehicle from them again. If we could we wouldnt even give a star.
I bought my Crosstrek Sports car two weeks ago and Joshua was the one who helped me found my ideal car. I came in the early morning around 7 am. Test drove two different cars and Joshua carefully explained the difference between the two cars based on my needs and wants. It was the fastest process I have ever done, in terms of buying a car. I was scared and hesitant but Joshua did a good job of explaining it all to me why I need to pick the Crosstrek Sports 2021. It was the best decision I have ever made for a while. The finance manager Aaron too was knowledgeable, fast, and nice to their customers. I am very impressed with the customer service and I felt good being their customers. They are honest and they follow through with their promises. I have been telling my friends how professional and trustworthy the Subaru Kenosha dealership people are. In times like these, this is the company you would want to give your business to. Keep it up, Joshua and Aaron!
First and foremost, their customer service is fantastic and they make you feel like family! They check in occasionally and offer great amenities (comfortable waiting area, WIFI, coffee bar) while waiting for your vehicle to have an oil change completed, or even offer a rental vehicle for the day to allow services to be provided while youre at work. I initially came to Subaru Kenosha with the intent of looking at vehicle ideas I had been searching online. I scheduled an appointment and was given guidance on what I should bring with should I decide to buy when I came. I made the preparations (title in hand, car cleaned out) expecting to only look at a few vehicles for ideas, but ended up driving a new vehicle home that evening (and I do NOT make major financial decisions lightly!). Stephanie (if I recall correctly) asked what I was looking for and discussed several selections before taking us for a test ride in one that met my requirements. I fell in love to say the least! I was able to streamline the process due to recommendations when scheduling my visit and walked away with a car Ive only dreamed of for years prior. I drive this beauty 40 minutes to and from work each day and I couldnt be more grateful I decided to buy! They really take care of their customers and Subaru provides excellent products. Id give more stars if I could!

I purchased two brand new cars on April 5th, 2021. I also bought an extended warranty and the ceramic undercoating. I was so dissatisfied with the cars I have since sold one and am considering selling the other. On April 20th (almost two weeks after the purchase) I asked for a refund of the extended warranty and undercoating. Two days later Derek Wojceichowski from the finance department asked for a picture of the odometer and said he would email a cancellation form, the odometer picture was sent via email that day. Several weeks went by without hearing back. On may 14th I emailed again to ask about the status, on May 17th Derek said he was “ awaiting a email from my accounting manager to check the status of the checks”.It is now June 20th, two months after requesting a refund, and I have heard nothing and seen no refund. This is unbelievable. I will absolutely be sharing the experience I’ve had with subaru and specifically this location with every single person who will listen.

I have notified Subaru of America’s escalations team and filed a complaint with the Wisconsin Department of Consumer Protection. I’m not sure if this is illegal, but it demonstrates poor judgment and a lack of professionalism and carelessness when it comes to data privacy.It took him over 3 weeks to call me directly, but after the staff completely mishandled the situation on this third incident, I informed him I would no longer be communicating with anyone there directly or returning to the dealership. The lack of professionalism is rampant at all levels of Kenosha Subaru. Mike Bihun’s behavior confirms my observation on why there have been issues on every visit.Zero accountability and zero customer advocacy, deflecting and blaming others including the post office, for an issue that never should have escalated in the first place is the kind of nonsense you will face here.The below is a brief history of the last 1.5 years going to this dealership:Jan 20201. Registered my car incorrectly. Had to go to the DMV during the winter and COVID. Wasted 3 hours of my life and countless phone calls. This took weeks of back and forth to remedy.April 20202. My car was left completely greased up after a service and Kenosha Subura had to replace interior trim pieces because of large scratches left by the technician.May 20213. Performed services work that was supposed to be covered under warranty, charged me for it anyway. Still waiting on my refund (05/18/21 Service date) 3 weeks later. The service Manager Matt told me he had my check on his desk for over a week. They couldnt even figure out how to simply refund my credit card.Subaru of America escalation team told them I would be at the dealer to pick up my check. I got there, no check. No clue whats going on. The general manager blamed the post office and took zero accountability for the situation. Hes really great at staring at the floor. Also the assistant manager told me the previous day they would cancel the check in the mail and deliver me a new one to my house. I thought that was a really great gesture on his behalf. But it was a LIE, and this guy had nothing to say for himself either.Staring at the floor must be part of their customer service training because thats what this other guy did too.The management is apathetic and simply lie to you to get you off the phone... Theyre even classier in person, (sarcasm) and the service department has severe operational issues. You have to escalate issues to Subaru of America for any traction. Its a complete hassle. So disappointing.I wish I could give no stars...

Most of the time I absolutely dread going into a dealership looking for a car. I compare the normal experience to getting a tooth pulled with no pain killers. My experience with Kenosha Subaru has been nothing short of the best experience I have ever had when purchasing a vehicle. From the friendly, no pressure staff to the final signing of he papers the staff at Kenosha Subaru are by far the best people to work with. If anyone wants to purchase a Subaru, this is absolutely the place to go to.
My car had a warranty issue that was going to be in shop for an unknown time. They gave me a loaner and went above and beyond to make sure my holiday plans stayed the same. This required putting some heavy mileage on the loaner vehicle. Now I’ve always had excellent service from this dealership but this experience was more than any of my expectations. I brought my vehicle for service to Kenosha Subaru recently. Best dealership experience yet! Car had a noise that required me to leave it there to get fixed. I was offered a loaner vehicle which was new and clean. Ace in service took real good care of me and did a great job explaining everything. When i came to pick up my car it was ready and the process was super quick. Absolutely no complaints!

We were initially thinking of selling/trading-in our Subaru at this office. However, with the awful service we received and the very very very low offer (compared to dealerships on the same street), we decided to go with another provider.Awful service: We came in to the dealership with the intention of making a deal that day. The women (Patricia) that started the process asked us to sit at a desk, but then proceeded to stand as she talked with us about what we needed. She didnt even sit down while we talked about why we were there. This is a big indication that you have no intention of caring about this deal. She took our keys and handed it to another man in an auxiliary office named (PJ, DJ, or something similar). We understood that taking our keys would be to take a look at our car, we werent born yesterday. The problem with this is that the man took our keys and walked right by us with out a single hello, greeting, or mention about what he would be doing with our car. No words or nods, just COMPLETELY ignored us. He took our car out somewhere in the dark (we came around 7pm) He came back after maybe 8 minutes with the car and walked by again with no recognition of us.The woman came back with a sheet of paper that had the price. This price was over $1000 less than the lowest offer we were given at other dealerships. Mind you, she never once sat down and explained. When I asked a specific question she just said, this is the market price. We just walked out at that point.The reason this is so frustrating is because we had every intention of making a decision that day, but the carelessness of these staff members not giving us the time of day.FYI for your team, Carmax (two doors down) SITS DOWN and actually talks to their customers about the ENTIRE process. They, then, take you into a well lit service bay and go through the entire car with you and explain what they are looking at in your car.At the end of the day, we dont care about the price we were given. We were really upset by the mistreatment/ your staff basically ignoring us.EDIT: Im glad we made the decision that we did after reading your reviews. Super disappointed to see that you argue with people that give you bad reviews. Poor business practice.

Recently dealt with Stephanie and she was great. Got me in a 2018 CPO outback and helped me out with all my needs. However, the I’m unsure how complete their CPO checklist gets inspected. I drove off the lot having believed their checklist and found the coolant level to be ridiculously low in the reservoir, like almost below the hose low. The interior had been rushed through when considering the detail. They got the big stuff but there was wax from melted crayons, dog hair and chicken nuggets in between the seats and in the pockets behind the driver side seat. Also, they didn’t catch that I was missing a jack and tools which was on the CPO checklist. Stephanie was quick and fast to communicate in righting these issues though!
My husband and I recently worked with Anthony at Kenosha Subaru. From the minute we walked in the building, he was friendly, helpful, and patient. He listened to what we wanted and didnt try to pressure us into something we didnt want to make a higher sale. On our test drive, he pointed out a ton of small details that we probably wouldnt have asked; which was extremely helpful considering we are not familiar with Subaru vehicles. When their price point didnt initially match ours, he asked how they could make it work and worked to get our monthly payments where they needed to be without adding extra to our down payment. We would 100% recommend Anthony at Kenosha Subaru to anyone who is in the market to purchase a vehicle.

While I did not buy my 2017 Outback from Kenosha Sub, had 100% of service done at Kenosha Sub over 3 yrs. Trusted Service Dept.I was just pondering what if I traded in my 2017 Sub ... wandereing over to Loris desk. The rest is history, as they say. Over 7 weeks, with no pressure, but great follow-up by Lori and her manager, was presented with a trade-in offer I was compelled to look at very closely. We recently had the pleasure of working with the team at Kenosha Subaru. We are now customers of Patricia and for good reason. She is straightforward, intelligent, fair and understands her customers and products and is wonderful to deal with like no other. The buying process with Patricia has always been uneventful and pleasurable. We also worked with Derick, in the Finance Department. He was great also. Derick treated us with respect and dignity, was not pushy, extremely efficient and explained everything in as much or as little detail as required. Salesman lied over the phone. When we got to the dealer the car was damaged with scratches and paint chips. Sales manager promised to fix all paint damage in the car after the sale was complete. We have that in writing. We left the car there to be fixed after the sale as agreed, came back two days later after being tild it was repaired. Found the car was not repaired and damage still there. Was told at that time by the same sales manager they will not repair the vehicle. We still have it in writing. We are now contacting the Better Business Bureau and an attorney.
We were dead set on buying a 2018 Subaru, and I informed the salesman I would be buying a car that day. We ended up changing our minds after the service we received. This is the 2nd time Ive been there and the sales staff have been disrespectful. I cant stand when they walk away for 15 minutes saying they need to talk to their manager. Instead, we walked out and went next door and test drove a brand new Honda CRV. Lost out on a sale for sure.
I recently visited the Kenosha Subaru dealership to look for a Forester. Patricia Carrick answered all of my questions regarding the newest Subaru technology (X-mode, Eyesight, lane detection), as well as more thorough explanations from a design standpoint of how Subaru builds such a safe car. She was extremely respectful, helpful, and quick getting the cars for test drives for me and my mom. I gained a lot more clarity about which kind of car (year, features, miles, price) I was looking for after the visit to the dealership. Although I did not find a car in the used inventory that fit my needs at that time, I did appreciate Patricia’s customer interface very much and have already recommended friends to shop at the Kenosha Subaru dealership.Sincerely,Hannah
Great experience with Joe at Kenosha Subaru! We drove from Milwaukee to Kenosha to look at a 2017 Mazda CX-5. When we pulled up, Joe greeted us at the front door where we told him what we were looking for. Unfortunately, the vehicle was transferred to another store and said if it wasn’t sold, it wouldn’t be back for a couple days. He offered other vehicles to us that they had in stock, but we have been set on the Mazda for a while now. He wasn’t too pushy and he took our information and told us he will let us know Thursday or Friday on the status of the vehicle. At about noon on Friday he gave us a call to tell us the car will be back around 5pm if we were still interested. We were already on our way to another dealership to look at the same vehicle. We ended up making a deal at the other dealership, but we really appreciated Joe’s professionalism and response. I would highly recommend Joe and Kenosha Subaru!
