I highly recommend Lana Green! She was awesome at working with my child during a transitional time in my childs life. She was great at keeping us focused on age appropriateness in a wide array of topics. She determined my childs interests and developed bonds in this manner. Highly recommend her services!

I called on behalf of my son to book an appointment. He has a generalized anxiety disorder and we are looking for a new psychiatrist for him. Many offices are no longer accepting new patients with Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance so this has been a challenge for us. I called Ray of Hope, they told me they did take BCBS but that I cannot book an appointment on behalf of my son as he is over 18. I explained that this has turned into a very stressful exercise for my son so I am trying to help him. The woman I spoke with told me, very condescendingly that she has an anxiety disorder and would have no problem calling around to make her own appointment. I couldnt believe her tone. They put me on hold and eventually told me that in this one instance they would let me book as long as my son called to confirm within 24 hours. The reason? People dont show up for appointments. If I make an appointment they will have my credit card, our insurance, home address. If he didnt show they will charge me for the appointment. This is a psychiatrist office, I would hope they can deal with mental illness, apparently not. I will not put my sons mental health in their care. The woman I spoke to should be fired for telling me how an anxiety disorder looks - the next person she so flippantly brushes off may be the person who needs help. Honestly, I am disgusted by the whole experience.

So I called to see if my insurance would cover an appointment BEFORE making an appointment and I was told yes. 6 months later they call out the blue saying I owe a good bit of money... Im sorry but what? 6 months later and why all of a sudden werent things covered when I was told they would be. And apparently I was charged more then I was told the appointment even cost since they are now saying I owe almost the whole cost of the appointment but my insurance covered some. Nothing but lies, scams, and manipulation of people already going through a hard time.

I highly recommend Jaime Jenkins!! She was able to connect with my eldest son and get him to open up comfortably immediately! Typically it would take someone working with him quite some time for him to open up.Jaime is highly skilled and showed it by navigating my sons avoidance, his natural defense mechanisms.Jaime truly cares about the children!!! She watches them, listens to them, not just their words but their whole demeanor/body language. Sometimes their actions (what they do) and body language are screaming one thing while the therapist is being told/presented with something else.Jaime is an experienced therapist with the tools needed to connect and discover the core.Her methods at making children comfortable are unparalleled.Jaime was awesome at working with both of my children in this very traumatic time of their little lives. She will help. She will see what others are trying to hide. She will go to bat for your children. Jaime truly cares about those children! The children are whats most important, they are our future!Thank you for everything Jaime! I am so grateful you were chose by their mother/worked with their mother. I loved my tele session. It was easy to connect and talking to my therapist felt even more productive, as I was not stressed by traffic. Ms.James made me feel supported and heard. And I learned how to handle my hurdles better at the very first session. I recommend this practice. You can live anywhere and have a wonderful therapist at your fingertips. THANK YOU.

I see Mrs Gianna and she is Absolutely AMAZING!!By far the BEST counselor I ever had. She genuinely cares and she shows it every session... I had a rough past before I got to her, and she makes the progression to a better you, much more easy.. she walks you through how to better yourself and never fails to remind you she is there. I’d give her 10 stars if I could. DEFINITELY WOULD RECOMMEND

The counselor told my child that I was the problem and that I needed help. I was never the patient so why tell my troubled child that. Very unprofessional. Secondly we were making co-pays for every visit and the counselor had the audacity to email claiming we hadn’t made payments.

Excellent experience at Ray of Hope @ Kennesaw, Ga. Ms. Jamie J. is so awesome and wonderful. My two young children see her and they and myself love her and enjoy the visit, atmosphere and professionalism. My children can be shy at times, but opened up right at the first hello. I would refer anyone to Ray of Hope and to Ms. Jamie J. She helps in so many ways with my children and myself. We have made so much progress and we could not be more happier. Thank you!

Jamie Jenkins is great! I feel like she is the perfect therapist for me. Validating and open-minded. She knows I like my conversations to be more casual and she is accommodating in that way because formality makes me shut down.

Ray of Hope has been really great for myself and my kids to have an outlet you talk about life and the challenges we face. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for someone to talk too. It is well worth it.

This place is such a tranquil respite if you need somewhere safe to unwind, process grief, heal, or feel strengthened on your journey. Gianna Martini has been an absolute godsend, and I dont think youll find anyone more caring, empathetic, and compassionate. Shes kindhearted, an intuitive listener, insightful, and wise. Gianna truly cares about her clients, and Ive so appreciated her support and wisdom.

I had an ok experience here. I go to the ROH Canton and my therapist there is excellent. It was hard to figure out where to go and how to sign in or how they knew if you were there.

Giada Martini is a very genuine, kind person that makes you really feel shes there for you personally & not just professionally. Her office is very easy space to be in to boot!

You might not want to call the office if youre feeling depressed or anxious. Youll get more TLC from the county tag office. I wrote a letter of complaint to the Director, Ms. Umstead, about the rude way my sweet husband was treated, but I never received an answer. She probably never even saw my email, because all complaints about the front office have to be sent TO the front office.

The counselors are wonderful. The place is nice and quiet and peaceful. I’d give it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the hateful, condescending girl at the front desk. I would recommend this place, because it’s the therapists that matter. Just beware of the attitude you’ll get at the front desk.

If I could leave less than star I would! Had an appointment for 12 showed up at 11:40. The lady in the lobby behind the window has no way of checking you in and letting Your therapist know that you are there apparently because they dont allow you to sign in youre just supposed to show up and sit down. . I sat there until 12:30 till I went to the window to ask why I was still there for so long without being taken back and seen yet. And found out that someone else called and canceled my appointment. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!

As much as i like the therapist, getting an appointment that is not making a child leave school early or go in late is almost impossible. I have shown up before and the therapist was not even coming to work when we were scheduled and no one bothered to call us. They act like your are screwing up their day by calling to get an appointment. They leave it up to the child to reschedule at the end of the appointment and (He doesnt) then you cant get back in until months later. We were referred to one therapist because of her hours then she changed her hours. Its more like i need therapy after dealing with the chaos.

Very disappointed. Standard protocol is to ask patients to sign a waiver stating if an appointment is missed, there will be a charge. My daughter had a fever when she got off the bus on the day of her appointment. Obviously, I called and cancelled her appointment. Ray of Hope then charged our card $75. The counsellor we spoke to when we signed the form specifically stated they would be understanding of illness and not charge. They will not even consider a refund. I would advise everyone out there to seek another place of business for your therapy and counselling needs.

This was my first appointment here, referred by my EAP. There is no secretary here because it is Saturday and my appointment was at 1pm. It is now 1:30pm and I am still in the lobby waiting and the therapist has not come out for me. I am very much in need of this counseling session and am very disappointed. After reading the other reviews, I am scared to leave and get charged a $75 no show fee. Since they didnt show, do they pay me $75 for my time?! The clinic director did later call me and apologize. She replied to this post that appointment was scheduled at 2pm, but that is what they mistakenly put on their schedule but the appointment had been scheduled at 1pm. I am still going there and seeing another counselor, but did not like being asked to change or edit my review because I did not show up at the wrong time for my appointment, they incorrectly entered it in their books/system.

Not knowledgeable. Counselor told my unruly kid they could go stay with another adult instead of counseling the issue.

Ray of Hope Counseling misled me. I asked SEVERAL TIMES what the price would be and was told $20 per session after my EAP sessions end. Turns out it’s $100 per session pricing with my insurance. I decided to leave and cancel all of my future appointments there. They then state they are not responsible for my insurances pricing and states I should figure that out on my own. Then why did you all specifically quote me a price? It was never mentioned to call my insurance company myself or I would have done so gladly.

I am blown away at all of the negative comments. I have been going since 2015 and have nothing but positive things to say. I have referred two people who also have nothing bad to say. I have been to many therapists and offices and this one by far outweighs the rest. The front desk staff is also really nice and always been accommodating.The only reason I gave four stars is the $75 fee if you cancel your appointment less than 24 hours, and no flexibility, even if you call within 20 hours of your appointment.

I had a session with a very nice cousenlor. But when I had to reschedule suddenly and could not get an appointment that same day they charge ya $75 cancellation fee! I will not continue there.....

Honestly, I only had one session so far and I cannot wait to go again. The lady was extremely understandable and was completely opened minded and very educated about other topics Id not like to discuss. I recommend going here although I dont know why the fuss with all the negativity.

I recently lost my husband and I am currently going for grievance counseling. I love the therapist that I saw her name is Lauren and she is amazing. I will recommend her to anyone I have had nothing but great sessions and she is very caring and helpful.

So the doctor recommended I have counseling after my car accident in Dec 2014. Guess who calls me up 3 years later asking for $100 in copay that I never received a bill for? I think the last thing this place wants is helping people and all they care about is balancing the checkbook. Stay away at all costs.

Ive been to several therapists throughout my adulthood, and Ray of Hope is by far the most professional, courteous, and friendly one Ive ever been to. Ive been seeing Brittany Janson, LPC for 6 months now, and I cannot even say how much she has changed my life. The staff is so friendly, and the waiting room is so comfortable and calming!!!

I have so much to say that I cant even write it all. This lady, Shannon Cantrell, LPC., must have really been hurting for money because shes made a very bad impression on a decent hearted young black male whom was earnestly seeking mentoring and guidance. All she had to do was send him a letter and not harass myself, his mom for the $75.00 no show fee in which he called to report that he had found employment and wouldnt make the visit. We as adults cant get any information on clients, son daughter, mom, etc. So since this is the case why tell mom after Id already told you once that my debit card was no longer any good. In all good faith once notified my son is a decent young man, he was going to bring her that outrageous fee in which he had to come up with after his mom had paid for his past two visits. Upon research I found that most cancellation fees are from $25 to $50. $75 is outrageous. Also, to be told that school isnt for everyone, this was kind of disappointing. Why not seek out the patients strengths, deeper before giving them this kind of advice this way they wont plant that thought in their mind. Everyone learns differently and when totally interested in people you will find or lead them in the direction of seeking someone or some resource that would grasp their abilities to pull out of that individual just what might help them. It is hard for our brothers to admit that they have a problem then seek help but when you show your true colors this really stifles them. My son brought her this money on his own plus he put gas in my car to get there now keep in mind he only makes $9 an hr. Ms. Cantrell he brought this on his own. He was raised well but you have made a bad impression on the both of us and no he wont return to you but he will still get the help needed because he has a mother that cares. If you werent wrong and you know it why did you call him after we spoke? So you see you couldve had and helped a decent young black male but no, HE SEES NOW THAT ITS ALL ABOUT THAT DOLLAR AND NOT EVEN WHATS ON PAPER! To help someone you have to be truly concerned. Get away from the paper and try to reach the heart!

Received hundreds of dollars in bogus charges from missed appointments that I canceled! Unbelievable. I later went and got counseling from a real psychologist who took notes, gave me clear instructions for managing my anxiety, and empathized with me rather than yawning and joking, youre so crazy. Dont go into this profession if you dont actually care about helping people... And in all my years of dealing with medical establishments, I have never been charged $75 (!!) for canceling an appointment due to illness. And then was charged a second time because they claimed I didnt cancel my following appt. (No way was I going back after that. I was SURE to let them know.) Plus a collections charge and various $10 charges that didnt even make sense. Ugh.

The walls are thin! To the point they have to have the waiting room music up so loud in case they are talking about someone in the office. Also, my first session got interrupt, because I was too loud talking. Then I have an FSA card. It will not take, if this happen back when that started have this problem with other people then they should had done something about this. Do not go!!! Thin walls!!They do not care about the people!!

The worst in scamming people for supposedly scheduled appointments that the client is not aware of and charging the no show fee of $75. I never received a reminder call the day before, of the appt. I received the call on the same day of the supposed appt, at the same time of the appt that they scheduled without my acknowledgment. They need to be investigated on this scam because Im sure that Im not the only one who got scammed.
