The 30 minute sightseeing flight over Seattle offers a unique and affordable perspective of our beautiful city. The whole process was super low-key. We just pulled up, parked, checked in with our names and one ID, and waited by the dock to board. The flight itself was very smooth and comfortable, even with the 90 degree temperature on the day we flew. It was also smoky that day so the views were probably not the best, but we were still amazed. I highly recommend this experience for anyone, even if youve flown in and out of Seattle a million times like we have.

I cannot say enough good things about Kenmore Air. My husband surprised me for our 14th anniversary with a flight and whale watching trip that he was able to purchase as a bundle with KA. Neither of us have been in a float plane before. I was a little nervous, but it was fantastic. The check in once we arrived was amazing. The gentleman at the desk that got us checked in was so welcoming and very nice. Our flight out was awesome. We were lucky enough to fly just the two of us and our pilot. Talk about luck on our first experience. The ride up was amazing. Our whale watching trip with San Juan Safaris was equally as fun. Had a blast and loved that both companies are ma and pa companies. Love supporting smaller businesses. The ride back was epic. We got to ride the Evening Magazine plane. That hits close to home as I was in one of their photography competitions placing 7th out of nearly 600 for wedding photographers in 2014. Anyways, the flight back was perfect. Was even able to see whales coming back on the plane. Thank you so much for such a great experience. Were already talking about our next trip we want to book with you guys.

Humbling is the only word I can come up with. I received call that my boat was sinking in the marina at Kenmore air. I live several hundred miles from the marina. I spoke with Todd one of the owners and he and his son Hunter worked well into the evening to save the day. They went above and beyond. I cannot say enough for what that service meant to me. I have kept my boat in the marina for years and always thought it was a great value. I never needed anything more than a safe marina. I never realized that until this week what great people operate that facility.

If you are considering where to do your seaplane rating, look no further! I came up to Kenmore for my seaplane rating and had an absolute blast! The few days of training were the most fun in an airplane that I have ever had. The instructors are awesome and the rest of the staff were great to work with. I even had the opportunity to sit right seat for a flight to the San Juans in the Turbo Beaver! I cannot recommend this place enough and cant wait to go back for some more float flying.

Kenmore Air made the best birthday experience possible for my wife, unbelievably accommodating 4 weather flight changes, and cancellations, what would have been a difficult and frustrating situation for me, they went out of their way to make it not frustrating it was actually a pleasant experience changing the flight three times, it cannot be easy to do that and keep a customer happy oh, thank you very much Kenmore Air!✌😎🍻

Sheesh! Reading the one star ratings just kills me. Some people just cant be satisfied. Life happens. Poor flying weather happens. All this prompted me to tell my experience.About two years ago my family and I booked a flight from Lake Union to Friday Harbor in the morning and back in the afternoon. Words fail me so Ill just say it was the most fun Ive ever had with clothes on.The staff at Kenmore couldnt have been more accommodating nor nicer. I thought they went out of their way ensure that they did their part so that we would have a good flight. If I resided in Seattle instead of Georgia, Id be one of their best customers. My next trip to Seattle will hopefully include another flight. I cant wait.I read the book Success on the Step and would love to meet some of the characters still living.What a great company

The most beautiful sights, literally the best in the northwest. Ive lived in Seattle my entire life. Every summer would take the yacht to San Juan Islands on the 4th. But this flight into the islands was so much prettier. I cannot wait to fly up again. Fifty minutes in a plane vs four hours by boat is also a no brainier.I purchased a flight for two from Kenmore to San Juan Islands. Its winter and there is weather in the Straights too. But the staff were in touch and informative throughout the entire trip - just top notch customer service.The pilot was so wonderful; informative, experienced, and professional. My flying friend wasnt particularly fond of heights and didnt fly often either. Yet was at ease on a windy flight, even as he sat up front next to the pilot.

I couldnt be more upset about my experience here. I was told I could only book a repo flight the day-of and I had to call them at 6:30am. When I called at 6:30am the next morning I was told I can only book a flight in person and I would have to get to the airport 30min before my flight. So we arrived at the airport 30min before the next scheduled flight. They took my money and told me to wait for the pilot. An hour went by sitting alone in the lobby! I asked when the pilot would arrive and they started yelling at each other in the back office. The whole staff came out and told me they never placed the dispatch for my flight and I would need to wait another 2hrs for the next one. Ive never had a more frustrating and upsetting customer service experience. Take your business elsewhere.

Update: Its interesting to see the response below from the company. I was told when I called the customer service line that Kenmores entire computer system was down and this is the reason they could not arrange my travel on the Clipper as they usually do in circumstances such as these when they cannot fly. I was also told that they get a group rate that is cheaper on the Clipper by the first customer service person, and then the manager (in a terse tone) kept asking whether I wanted a refund on the flight instead of admitting that if I did it this way I would be paying more to the Clipper than if I waited until their system was back up and they arrange this and reimburse me the difference. This manager was not very understanding that I would want to not pay more than I should otherwise had their computer system been operating. In the response it appears that they are blaming the cancellation of the flight on US Customs when in the terminal they blamed it on Canadian customs not letting their plane take off. They are sure to say that it was a Microsoft issue too. If you read other negative reviews here and on TripAdvisor youll see that when it comes to cancellations, Kenmores customer service does not take responsibility and compensate their customers accordingly. It seems that Kenmore should take this up with Microsoft rather than point a series of different fingers in an attempt to point to circumstances outside of their control and get off the hook with their customers.I regularly travel between Victoria and Seattle as my husband and I live in these respective cities. Twice weve had appalling service with Kenmore Air. Today I was scheduled on the 9am flight from Victoria to Seattle. I checked in at 8am before their 8:15am cutoff. At this time their computer system was down. We got updates that they were working on the problem. At 9am we were told the flight was cancelled. They said to get on the Clipper, the passenger ferry at 11:30am, if we needed to be sure to be in Seattle that day. I called them and asked for compensation for the appointment at 1pm that has a late cancellation fee that I would miss and therefore be out $160 USD (not to speak of my time on the phone with them, walking over to the Clipper, my having to call the Clipper myself, waiting for the Clipper, and then the 2hr40min ferry ride) and the first person I spoke to said it was beyond their control. I then spoke to the manager who also kept saying that this tech issue was beyond their control and asking me if I wanted a refund on my ticket. In my opinion, which technology company you choose to hire to make your software and maintain it is within a companys control. Technology companies have insurance policies when their software fails. Why is Kenmore passing on this responsibility to their clients? This manager said she would check with upper management and call me back. I will update this review if the service is more reasonable and fair that Ive received so far. I find it ironic that Kenmore is based out of Seattle, a tech city, and they still do not acknowledge that when there is an error to their technology, that is encompassed in the operations of their company and not outside of their control. I recommend just booking on the Clipper and being sure youll get there on the time you plan, Ive always had amazing customer service with the Clipper.

What a special treat and a unique way to travel by flying Kenmore Air. It’s such a festive beginning to our annual boating adventure when taking off or landing on water and the low altitude flight over beautiful scenery. They take us to gorgeous destinations like Roche Harbor, Wa, Victoria & Port McNeil, Bc and our hosts are always moored just a few steps away at a nearby dock! How cool is that!

My wife and I took a flight up to the San Juans and back from Kenmore, we had a great time seeing the sights of Seattle and all the islands from above. We were on one of the small planes which was very comfortable, only had 4 passengers including us on the plane.

Traveling as a group of 4 and had made flight reservation from Victoria to Seattle several months out and were very much looking forward to the opportunity of a seaplane ride back. Unfortunately part of our group had a passport issue on the day of our intended departure, spoke with Kenmore Air customer service rep seeking assistance and see if we could workout another mode of transportation to make our trip back to Seattle. Received no (ZERO!) assistance from Kenmore Air and we were abruptly notified that it would be considered a same day cancellation with no refund, nothing was offered, e.g. rain check. Our seats were quickly filled by stand-by passengers, Kenmore Air did not lose any revenue and in no way lent any assistance. Would equate Kenmore Airs customer service to that of the Biman Bangladesh Airline (rated second worst in the world). We eventually made our way back to Seattle that day via the Black Ball Ferry to Port Angeles. In the future will seek to charter our seaplane experience from a reputable company such as Seattle Seaplanes.
