Voice-mail from a blocked number turned out to be Tammy from the local store in Kenai instructing me to call the 1-800 number to be able to send a message to the local delivery person, who couldnt locate my house. Makes soooo much more sense, and eliminates a lot of frustration for me, to just leave a local phone number instead of intentionally blocking that out so you dont have to deal with return calls. Only took two phone calls to the 1-800 number to send a message to the driver....but I was also told to await another call from my local store to set up delivery. I guess Ill be on the lookout for a business communicating locally via a blocked number. 😡

How is that this Kenai location is only open 2 hours per day on weekdays and then also closed on the weekends? The drop-off box at the location is so small that any size box much larger than a mailing envelope cannot be dropped off. I personally find this totally unacceptable.UPDATE-----I just found out that there is a UPS drop off location at the nearby Kenai Car Quest store, which is open all day long. This fact is not advertised, nor is it posted on any signage at the UPS Customer Center or the Car Quest store................but it is indeed quite convenient and somewhat tempers my initial comments I initially made (above) a couple weeks ago.

UPS delivery in Alaska is a nightmare. I live in Seward. Shipments come into Anchorage, are then sent to Kenai, then Seward if you are extremely lucky and have all the time in the world. Over the last year every package has had multiple problems and delays. The package arrives in Anchorage a few days ahead of the scheduled delivery date. Anchorage sends it to Louisville, KY who sends it back. This chews up a couple days. Anchorage sends it to Kenai but it misses the timeframe to go out for delivery that day. Kenai sends it back to Anchorage who sends it again to Kenai. Another couple days gone. Now the delivery is late. Kenai finally gets it on the delivery truck so you think, ok today’s the day - only a couple days late. A few hours later you see an exception. Kenai had mid-sorted. Another day or more if you’re lucky. Then you have to worry that despite having other packages delivered to the same address over many years, the driver will report the address can’t be found. This isn’t an isolated incident. This happens EVERY TIME FOR EVERY PACKAGE!FedEx deliveries are perfect as are USPS. Do yourself a favor and use any service other than UPS.

I had issues with UPS taking packages to wrong addresses, in some cases not even on my same street. However, I talked to them, they even sent a rep to my house, and now everything is working great. Thanks UPS! They do actually care, and I appreciate that.

Dealing with the automatic phone system was not a good time.

Customer service is the worst!!! Dont call there number as they can and or will not help waited 2 months on last package now Im waiting on another? There has got to be a better way who is o ly open for 2 hours a day?

They should include the local phone number for the day/ night clerk directly instead of just a 1800 number that leads you to no one aka an automated system!

Have never gotten a package successfully delivered to my physical address. Fed Ex has no problems, dont understand why you cant find it.

I came in and fiund out I needed to go the post office. Yet the UPS employee helped me closeup my package and keep what docs I needed. So nice!!

Very poor customer service. Cant seem too find my Address however FedEx has no problem delivering to my home.

I want to applaud Walt in the Kenai Hub for going out of his way to get a package of medication to us. The package had a wrong address so was undeliverable. This medication was very important for my grandson. We called and got ahold of someone the first time and they were no help. But my daughter in law got ahold of someone else and they said they would help us get this package. They worked on it until we were able to pick up the package. Walt came in special on Saturday morning and was going to deliver it to us but we were able to meet him in Kenai and retrieved the package. He said when he found out it was meds for a little boy he knew he had to get that package to us. THANK YOU WALT. We appreciate you very much. You made our weekend.
