I recently visited Hillside unexpectedly and found it to be very clean, the residents were smiling and laughing, engaged with the 3 caregivers that were there. Almost 9 years in corporate assisted living and skilled nursing care facilities can leave one skeptical whether good basic care exists. Hillside was a refreshing change! The staff is high quality, loving and attentive to the unique needs of each resident. My dad has been at Hillside for about 6 weeks now, and this has been by far the best experience with care we have had! We have had terrible experiences with facilities in the Keller area. My dad now feels like he is back at his own home. The house is beautiful and clean, and big enough for families to come spend time together, which was really important for us. The staff treats my dad like family. He is always clean and comfortable. He LOVES the home cooking and has celebrated a wonderful birthday party and a Thanksgiving dinner thrown by Irene already. We have made friends with the other residents’ families as well, and the whole place is just a pleasant and inviting place to be. We no longer lay awake at night hoping that he is not being ignored or neglected in a hospital-style setting, and I cannot describe the peace of mind that has brought.All the staff has been exceptional, but the house manager Irene definitely sets the bar! She is knowledgeable about my dad’s condition, goes out of her way to maximize his comfort, provides him with music and entertainment, and makes sure he stretches and gets out of bed every day. She also communicates extremely well with my family. We have not experienced anyone like Irene in our ten years of finding caregivers for my dad. Also, the cooking is wonderful and there’s always extra! Most importantly, though, she truly is a friend to my dad, and he feels respected in a way he has not before when living in nursing homes.

Beautiful location and the team working here is so compassionate and supportive. They loved on my mom like she was their own. I will be eternally grateful for the caring and support they provided both of us in her last days.

Ive visited Hillside several times over the last few weeks to visit my friend whos living there. Ive been in about a dozen different Care Homes all over town, Hillside is by far the nicest Care Home Ive seen. The staff is amazing. Im very happy that my friend is staying there!

I have gotten to know the owners of Hillside through my research in finding help for a loved one. This is truly a family facility - as the owners actually built and created this one of a kind facility out of a personal passion and wanting the best care for their very own loved one who needed special care. Their passion and love for others is exhibited in the design and quality of the facility - but the staff they hire to take care of others is the icing on the cake. It is truly a family atmosphere and I couldnt imagine my family being in anyone elses care!

I am a Home Health Nurse, so I visit all kinds of facilities throughout the week. This Care Home is one of the best Ive seen in my 10 years as a Nurse. They put a lot into their home and staff....very impressed. I would recommend Hillside to anyone looking for better care for their family member.

The staff at this facility are wonderful and very caring. The owners, Mr. & Mrs. Varner, are amazing people that I have known for many years and I would trust them with my family members. I know they will be well taken care of. I highly recommend them.

I work for a geriatric organization which specializes in the care of the elderly. I toured Hillside and met the owner and staff and found them to be professional, knowledgable and caring of their residents. The residents are treated and cared for as a family member. The home is beautiful and spacious. Every detail is designed to meet the needs of loved ones. I would not hesitate to place my loved ones here if needed.I have seen many residential care homes but have not seen anything to compare with the care and homelike environment that I found at Hillside.

The house is very nice, especially compared to the other facilities that I have visited. My client reported that the workers are fantastic and take great care of the residents.
