I cycled up from Salem. Only $1 to cross for my bike and me. It was a nice little break in my ride.

First time rider! It was amazing, only $3 for my vehicle, such a beautiful day!

Cool little ferry. Bring cash (theres plenty of signs). The people on board arent super friendly, or talkative really but the view when youre crossing is gorgeous. Fun mini adventure really. Theres not a ton of these left around. Theres a little park on the east side.

I like this part of the river. But going down this time, there was a mexucan man being vulgar and I finally told him to leave me alone. But, He kept stalkimg me. When I left he kept following me so I kept walking like I was going to get on the ferry then I would have told the captain to please let the police know.It was comforting knowing that the river police were watching things. They pulled up right next to me when I was sitting in the water and said they were just checking on me since Id been sitting there alone by myself for awhile. I told them about the freaky guy and thought he had left me alone. But he did come back and started stalking me.Be careful if these waters. There is a lot of activity and Im sure some not so normal people. A lot of partying and drinking.People fish there right around other people and people driving wave runners and Lil boats around like they are hellbent for an accident to happen.

I love the Wheatland Ferry! They are always accommodating and they do not waste time getting back and forth to carry the waiting cars.

Since I was a kid been a rider. Grew up on a farm about 3 miles away on the westside. Quickest way to town sometimes. Now its a my way to the cemetary to talk to my family. Its a scary refreshing experience always.

$3 one way, couple minutes and you’re across the Willamette

If you dont want to put up with the long lines going through Dundee and Newberg this is the only way to go.

Im 52, and Ive been running this very my whole life I am glad they still use it

Its a piece of living history. Hubby is a historian, so he pops these experiences in our back roads jaunts. Its really short, and only $2 for the ride. Take your kids or grands. They will remember it.

Gas is high .so now with the westland ferry at three dollars. I can commute on the road to Salem cheaper.

Just a place i enjoy going to with my child and socialize at granted can get borring if your the only person there

No cash alternative once onboarding and unable to use a card to cross they where going to make other passengers offload so to exit my vehicle. Thanks to the good people who have helped with the crossover fee.
