My two girls have been doing Kumon for 4 years at the Westheimer / Greenbush location. We have switched between reading and math depending on when they need a bit of a boost. Both are at the top of their class for reading and math. Doing the 20-30 minutes of Kumon work each day is something they enjoy and has been especially helpful during summer breaks to keep them engaged. You can tell Anamika really cares about their progress and is able to push them through any challenges.
First, the location is in the complex behind the cafe shown on Google Maps. Operating hours are minimal, only two days a week for a few hours. But you can call for more information if needed. Second, this is a new location that is starting to fit in to the community. My children have used their service at another location and it was effective. So, with no multi child discount it starts to get costly.
Kumon does well at giving the kids assignments and helping them improve on reading and/or math. Teachers are friendly, and will push the kids excessively if you allow them to. No discounts for multiple kids or subjects, so pricing can become excessively high very quickly.
