Waste of my time. I was going through antidepressant withdrawals (unbeknownst to me at the time) after being tapered to fast by my doctor and all this counselor wanted to focus on was my diet and weight. She wouldnt listen to anything I was saying. NOTHING!
I was pleased with the counceling, very pleased. However, check your billing before you pay. DO NOT LEAVE A CREDIT CARD ON FILE! I have payments that were paid and never applied to my account. And payments that were paid with the card on file that were due from and later paid by the insurance. (I was able to get the credit card company to refund that one but the payments were too old by the time I figured it out) I call the office and Im referred to billing. Billing, when you can get h. old of them, says they dont do refunds, and the account ledgers are incredibly difficult to read. Ive been asking for over a year for someone to show me where a specific payment was applied to my account and NO ONE seems to be able to show me. I have a receipt for the payment and the credit card bill showing it went through, but no one can show where its been applied or refund it. How a professional office can survive with billing this shabby is beyond me.
Positive experience but you need to wait for a time when they can see you
Ed is super honest and helpful. He is probably the most beneficial therapist Ive had. He gives excellent advice on coping mechanisms and is perfectly fine with me not wanting to be medicated. Im pretty sure Ed Lowder is a magician. The office is wonderful and they really want to help their patients. You really cant go wrong with any of the therapists here.
I see Ed, and he is wonderful. Easy going, listens, and provides wonderful tools. Office staff is kind, and easy to work with. I could put up with a mud hole, as long as I was receiving good assistance, and I landed in the right place.
Ed was great but their billing person, Tammy has the worst attitude ever. Talked to her twice on separate occasions to get billing summaries and both times, the worst attitude. Glad she isnt a counselor.
Everything was going okay, until we have to couple emergency over the weekends, in different times we have call in cancel our appointment for Mondays. We got charged for cancellation $50 each time. Since the 2nd time we have stop going there and recommending people there.. they dont work with you on emergencies, that is not there problem we got told.....
I received services on 1/12/16 and paid for the services. My insurance paid as well. I have called several times and no one has gotten back to me. I do not recommend using this company. Poor business practices.
Please see update below. The counselors are fine but the business office is horrible. I double-checked with their office that they took my daughters insurance/medicaid before going there. I was told twice by the office person that everything was fine and that they accepted my daughters insurance (which is medicaid as she is adopted). They took both her cards. Come to find out, the business office never checked and they do not take her insurance and then they lied to Aetna saying that they told me I had to pay for their services. I also had the issue that when I was trying to straighten this out, they would not return my calls. Just sent bills and threatened my daughter.I feel it only fair to update this review. After Dipoto saw this review, I received a voicemail from the business office. They apologized and said they had been trying to contact Aetna for several months and could not get a reply of whether or not my daughter was covered. As a result, they wrote off my daughters bill which I thought was the right thing to do. However, it doesnt change the fact that I was told twice by Dipoto that Kayhana was covered by her insurance. Also, as my daughters therapist had left their group, they actually gave me the therapists phone number which I thought was a very classy thing to do.
Love my therapist
David is amazing and the staff is warm and friendly
