I called in a pinch (I called them from out of state)and was greeted with excellent customer service, but was further accommodated to a particular set of challenges that they helped us overcome. It is the little things that make the big difference. We rented tables and chairs for a meeting. Everything went as expected, with no problems. Do not go here. There are way better stihl dealers around town. I have bought 2 saws from this place and had to take one in for a repair that should have been done within a week or 2. Instead it took 5+ weeks!! Ended up paying almost double the original estimate due to part being obsolete. Took them 3 weeks to figure out the part was obsolete. Asked for a 10% discount due to taking more than twice as long as it should have and being almost double the original estimate. U would think they would give some sort of discount for someone that has bought $800 worth of saws and countless other things there. I understand parts being obsolete, but why did it take 3 weeks to figure that out? All in all they have poor customer service and are not loyal to repeat customers. Drive a little further and go to a stihl dealer that cares about their customer service!!

Wed previously used Platte Rental Supply for equipment rentals and always found them friendly, knowledgeable and competitively priced. When we needed items for an event at our home, they were out first call and we couldnt be happier! Tents, tables, chairs and linens delivered and set up the day before the event and torn down day after. The office staff helped me work through what we needed and were understanding when I changed things up a week out. Worth every penny - well definitely use them again!

Platte Rental & Supply was a pleasure to deal with. The staff was friendly and helpful, equipment was well maintained and they were very efficient. I originally rented for a day, but returned the equipment within the 4 hour window and they adjusted the rate accordingly with no hassle. I will check Platte Rental & Supply first for my rental needs in the future.

Great place!! I only do business with them. I rent equipment from them on a weekly basis. There prices are the best in kansas city. Trust me tried most of all rental places in kc. I now buy all my saws from them and have them repair all my saws. Recently dropped of 6 chainsaws for repairs. Had them all back with in a week and half. All repaired and running great.

Great service! Stopped in with a Stihl trimmer and they very nicely fixed on the spot. Couldn’t have asked for better service and troubleshooting.

I rented a brush hog for a bobcat for one day, the blades were so badly worn that I took the time to sharpen them, unfortunatly, we broke one of the blades. contacted Platte Rental, they ordered new ones. Three days later I went over and picked them up and put them on the machine. I then rented it for another 4 days for a weekly rate. I was billed for the weekly rental of $ 649.90, which included a damage waiver of $55.50. Then while doing my taxes in March of 2018, I noticed a charge, two weeks after the rental week, for $245.48. I called Platte Rental, they said the damage waiver doesnt cover the blades! What is the damage waiver for? I was charged the price of three blades when only one was broken. Everyone beware of added charges on your credit card from Platte Rental. I will not rent there again!

Rented a bobcat through them for a snow removal. Windshield wiper didn’t work, so I had to fix it my self to be able to see while working through the blizzard... when I asked them why they sent it, said they didn’t have the parts to fix it.. yet still rented it out. Didn’t help with it or offer anything in return for the problem.

Called to get pricing on supplies for my wedding but when they informed my they didn’t carry what I was in need of, I asked if they could recommend someone in town that might have what I was looking for. I was promptly hung up on. When I called back to see if maybe we were only disconnected, no one would answer my call. Needless to say.... we will not be using or referring this company to our guests.

This place is great! Fair prices and they get you in and out fast. Their equipment has never failed me!

Great service. Repeat customer for life. Equipment I had rented multiple times with no problems had a mechanical issue about halfway through the day and the office had the half day credited back before the trailer and equipment was even unhooked. Ive had a similar situation with Glad Rents, except their equipment didnt work at all, and they refused to refund even $40. The only two situations Ive ever had, but PRS did the right thing.

Weve used Platte Rental & Supply for many years, for many things from UHaul rental, table/chair rental for events, etc. Always great customer service and pricing. We recently relocated to a new state and lost our receipts for moving expenses to submit with our taxes. Even though their system only went back 3 months, and our move was 4 months ago, they worked hard to find a way to get them - even contacted UHaul directly. Would absolutely recommend them!

Ive been going here for years and today the staff got extremely rude with me because of the back up in work they have then the owner got on the phone and started to cuss me out and stand by his men stating hes known this man 40 years so that makes his word better than mine if i wouid have been in front of shawn the man that got extremly aggresive with me he probably would have tried to hit me there are better places than this

Great place to rent equipment. The pricing is exellent and staff is friendly. They have rentals for almost anything including parties and uhauls.

I bought a Stihl Trimmer there and had problems starting it more than a couple times. Took it in and they helped me, no charge either time. I was ready to pogo stick that dang trimmer and after fixing the user error its a keeper.The Echo dealer in Gladstone treated myself and my wife REALLY poorly several few times over the last 10 years regarding Echo and Toro repairs. I usually give folks a couple shots as Im not perfect, but Ill never go back to them for sales or service.In short, Platte has treated me better than the other folks and earned my future business.
