I’ve worked for several and applied for several jobs thru different staffing agency. After years and years of doing customer service and working on the phones I wanted to step back. I wanted a admin or clerical job and Amy really came through for me! I spoke she heard and right now I’m at a job I absolutely love! Clerical with light phones and is only 10-12 min drive from my home with morning hours. (Can’t lose) after a year of dr visits I needed to slow down from fast paced jobs and she delivered! She also keeps in touch and checks in on you! She’s amazing!
I have had several temp jobs with them over the course of about 2 years, mostly working with Aimee. Victoria has also set me up with several focus groups as well. Luckily I have not had any major problems with any contract I was placed on. I always give 100% no matter where I am placed, which has made me a good employee. The pay has not been great on any of the positions, but I think its partly due to how people are looking at my resume (too many temp jobs). Aimee did try to send my resume to a higher paying position in my field of experience, but I guess they were not interested because I did not get a call back to interview. They dont ALWAYS have work, but have tried to keep me working as much as possible. We (employees) should remember that these types of jobs arent really meant to be permanent, but you never know what it could lead to so just do your best wherever your placed. We should be utilizing the temp positions to pay bills while searching for permanent work within our career path. Nobody should care about your career and where you are going more then YOU. I have had a hard time finding permanent work due to all the temp jobs, but it has been a learning experience and I wont stop trying. I know that somebody out there will give me a chance and get an awesome employee! I have also worked in the staffing field so I know that recruiters are people just like us, and sometimes their clients are either not-so-great, and/or are super picky. They are just doing the best they can with what they have. I do think that the whole hiring process, and how people decipher what a quality employee is needs to be revamped. We need good leaders who envision, inspire, and welcome the change to be able to fix it. Not everybody out there fits into the not hireable category, and not every recruiter/HR/Staffing person is a prude. Happy job hunting! :-)UPDATE: I did end up getting perm work from one of the contract positions. I was on the temp assignment for 5 mo and was let go due to funding. They had a new job opening. I applied and was hired on permanent. Ive been working there now for about a year.
Very personable office staff. Professional. Job was immediately available. Kept to my salary requests
They are an okay staff agency and they will put you to work but the lady who is the director of the company has a very nasty attitude and really doesnt care for the people she hires, example: On August 19th I was sent to work for Alphapointe, and close to the end of the day,a supervisor by the name of Mike was talking real slick to me,I paid it no mind and I returned for work that following Monday,so from that day to Thursday, the work was great,I had no problems and was looking forward to continuing working there,i show up Friday and and worked, but by 11:30ish or so,the supervisor Mike comes up to me and puts me in a situation I really can but cant speak on,its a long story, but all in all, that supervisor,a Stivers staff agent,2 other employees that work there, and the CEO of the company all were in on this I cant really call what it is,I wanna say a prank on me at this place,so after I involved in this work incident,I reported it to Stivers, now at the time they seemed concerned of what happened and they told me to call back Pam,the director of Stivers at 3p,so I did, thats when my shift was over,I told her my situation and I was told I had to go back Monday and complete the shift, but in the mix of things,I was told to get names and such,so I come back Monday,Im feeling so emotionally disturbed over what had happened,I call Stivers and tell them that Im here and wasnt allowed to the back until 3p,so as Im telling Pam this,I ask if she could get there names for me since I cant go back there, she says, just go and get there names,I then get a little pissed and say, well,I went to the EEOC and the BBB about what happened here and I feel too emotionally wrecked over what the staff here has done, she then goes exorcist and says, you didnt have to go back, why would you go back,I then say, well you told me to so we can end my last shift here on a professional note, she then goes,I didnt say that, then I said you did,so Im here, but dont wanna be here on the fact of what had happened, she then goes, well,do what you want and hangs up in my face,so the next day I call up to Alphapointe and get names,I contact Stivers and tell them I have the names, their response was,It doesnt matter no more, you no longer work there and hangs up in my face again, but in the past they have done this,so I say, they put you to work but their staff members are rude,Haden is the only staff member at Stivers that somewhat seems to care.
There were too many issues to begin to describe but after going through the process I was offered a job that was not in my field and not anything I would take. Really ended up being a waste of time. And dont bother talking with a manager. They have a skewed opinion of what is highly inappropriate. Very disappointed.
Overland Park location specific- Unprofessional, very opinionated versus factual and unfortunately not recommended at all.
Very professional and nice to work with.
Very competent staff
Great staff!
