Just for info: there is a storefront that is open to the public. They have huge selection of varied and sometimes obscure items, the staff here is very knowledgeable and always helpful.

Very nice fellow at the counter. I had the resistor that I needed matched and he found it for me. Excellent experience at a reasonable price.Also, I first went to Micro Center since it is near my home.Their inventory of resistors was a mess, they did not have the right one, and the employee was not knowledgeable.

This store is my go to for electronics accessories, components, parts, tools and supplies. Any hard to find electronics related products can usually be found here, and on the rare occasion they dont have it, they have what you need to make it.

Employee very rude to women, apparently still employed there, Even after calling manager it was a repeat experience, Not just once .Over priced surveillence camera bought there came to me as a broken unit. Was so disgusted with staff. did not wish to return.Place of last resort for electronic supply . Handicapp parking available, and a very handicap accessible Starbucks across the street with nice staff.

I go to Electronics Supply for a few specific parts for LED hula hoops I hand make that I cant buy anywhere else, or dont want to wait for it to ship. The employees are always extremely professional and nice and I feel the pricing for what I purchase is fair. Maybe some of the other parts people find over priced but thats what online shopping is for these days right ;)I myself will continue to shop here, after almost 2 years of doing so!

Honestly, Electronics Supply is probably the only place in Kansas City where you can find custom parts for circuitry and electronics...this is why I chose it in the first place! So why the 1-star rating?!! Heres why.After walking into the store and asking for help (which was very prompt) I began working with Don. I told him about the project I was working on and how I need a custom connector. After scouring the shelves for parts it became apparent that we needed to order a custom part rather than use what was in stock. Don and I looked through the catalog and located a part that would work. I expressed that I needed the part relatively quickly with the fastest, yet cheapest shipping method possible. Don said hed get the quote to me as soon as he had pricing info and give me a call back later that day. A little over a week and a half later I received the first phone call from Don, where he surprisingly said the parts we in and my total bill was over $160 for a few plastic parts. WHAT?! Obviously, this was a shock considering I was under the impression it would only cost $20-30. After stating my frustrations with Don and the fact that he never called to confirm that I in fact wanted to spend $160+ for the parts, his exact words were This is why Ill never do this for a customer again. and Its probably better that you never shop here again! In fact, itd be a blessing for us.So, in short:Parts/Inventory: 5-starsCustomer Service: FAIL!!!

Ive been coming here for over 20 years. Theyve hardly ever let me down when I was in need of something. Its THE go-to spot for components as most that work with electronics would know.Its unfortunate that Mr Manning fails the customer service after sharing the lengths of how far Don went to help him. They are absolutely in the right not wanting to deal with him again because of his impression of how things should be or cost. Im sure his attitude was much worse than he leads on in his review. They dont owe you anything just because you walked through their door. So he wanted a part that was hard to source, probably decades out of circulation, and expected a one day turn around, fast food gratification, high quality, at the lowest price in the world. Sounds reasonable...Its not exactly Radio Schmack.They just helped me recently find replacement capacitors for a piece of equipment in under ten minutes, that fit the PCB configuration i had.Of course, I had the specs before I walked in the door...as a courtesy.He had to up the voltage to get the right legs on it, so he looked a couple times.A very high review and appreciation for 3 dollars worth of stock.

Ive been shopping here for many years. Every time I go I come out with what I wanted PLUS 5-10 other little trinkets that might help what Im doing. This place helps reduce the number of cheap electronics I have to throw out by providing the parts I need to repair them! This is a great place for pros and tinkerers alike!

I needed some obscure cables and didnt want to wait on shipping (or pay for it for that matter). I heard about this place and checked it out. One of their employees was very helpful and patient in getting me what I needed. Ill definitely be giving them more of my business in the future!

I never knew this place existed.... amazing! I went in looking for a fuse to fix my 50inch plasma tv. I brought in the old fuse and the guys behind the parts counter were EXTREMELY helpful and knowledgeable. They didnt have the exact fuse but that was a good thing! They hooked me up with an even better fuse and it only cost $1! I was quoted $100-300 to fix the TV at a shop. I will defiantly be back. They have everything! Next time i need parts to repair pinball machines or any other electronic device I will surely check Electronics Supply Co!

They got most everything but the manager was so rude my wife called me in tears when she left and that is not normally like her. Wont go back unless I have to.

I really want to buy from here because they have a huge inventory and selection and theyre fairly close to me, but the customer service is lousy. the past few times Ive come in Ive either been ignored or treated like an inconvenience . I think Ill just order whatever I need from Mouser from now on.

They are very kind and have a wide inventory of items. They may invite you to walk the aisles, they seem to have it all. Its an open office concept with a very knowledgeable staff.

Extremely rude staff. Just the other day i go in asking for a simple screw driver bit which is specialized for electronics, I even had the name of it. The gentleman helping me treated me like I knew nothing about electronics and had no business being in there. I had looked up the exact type of bit and he reluctantly attempted to help me find it. After it not being in one area he said he has never heard of it or seen one. This is a bit to open up an older nintendo game system, they are not common, but this is an electronic store so dont treat me like i dont know what i am talking about, just help me. After he stopped looking i asked if there was some sort of tool i could use that was multipurpose (like for stripped screws or lug nuts). Didnt even try. I also needed a soldering gun for a project which I havent owned or used before. There were NO other customers even in the building. I tried to ask what i needed as far as supplies just so i wouldnt need to make several trips, he only suggested one item and hurried me along. They treated me like I was just in there to attempt to steal something. Apparently unless you are a professional IT/security company or someone who works for one and know EXACTLY what you need dont even bother going in. This is my third time entering the store and they look at me like i would steal something the minute they look away and none of the times have been friendly or helpful. If you are in the KCMO area i would recommend going to Micro Center in overland park which has a very helpful and friendly staff. Just because they mainly focus on IT and Security does not mean they wont have items which can help someone who builds computers. I will never go back. I would think they would be friendlier and more helpful after being open 60 years (what their website says). Its the only electronic supply store without driving the suburbs. business because i drive by there often and rarely see more than one car in the parking lot that isnt an employees. Again, unless you are looking for a security system dont waste your time or give them money. its always been the same old cranky staff that needs to realize anyone work with computer systems and electronics. this isnt the 1970s when only people with degrees knew anything about computers.GO TO MICRO CENTER OR BEST BUY OR EVEN HOME DEPOT, and i cant even ever find someone in home depot to help, but at least they arent rude.

I was excited to check this place out, but was amazed to find that they dont carry even basic oscilloscopes. I looked around a bit and noticed that the prices were astronomically high... A cheap plastic parts case for $20? Maybe this place has its uses, but I didnt see any.
