They worked magic on making two small bathrooms into one large accessible bathroom that is not only functional, but absolutely GORGEOUS! Working with designer Kelly Summers from the beginning made the entire process so smooth and seamless. They are a wonderful group of professional, respectful people who truly care about your home and making the remodeling process as painless as possible. They went out of their way to respect my son’s needs and medical conditions. We had a detailed schedule that they followed to a T and the communication was wonderful. I knew who and what to expect every day. I now have a bathroom that is suitable for my son’s needs as well as a relaxing & tranquil space that I enjoy just as much as he does! We hired the Schloegel Design Remodel Handyman Service to reduce the height of our wooden fireplace chase and flue, as well as replace rotted siding and trim on it. They were one of the few companies willing to tackle this project. This job turned out to be more complicated than I thought it would be, but the Schloegel team methodically and carefully worked through the project. We were pleased with the craftsmanship, the attention to detail, and the genuine concern for doing the job right. All of the workers were friendly and professional, and kept us informed of the progress at all times. It was not inexpensive, but it was definitely worth it to us. Skilled craftsman, professional service, at a fair price. For ten years since building our home, our most frequently used exterior door was an ongoing problem. We had to push against it with everything we had to lock the deadbolt, and it never really closed properly without a fight.Previous contractors told us the entire door and frame would need to be replaced to the tune of $2,500 to $3,000. Then we had Troy from Schloegel out to look at it and he felt that one of their technicians could adjust the problem door.Within a couple weeks, TJ came out and did an excellent job! He is a skilled craftsman and the door is working great and the cost was under $200. Our only regret is not getting someone from the Schloegel team out earlier!We highly recommend their services and will use them again!

My kitchen remodel was AMAZING, their remodel team is hands down the best. The only reason I’m not giving a 5 star rating is due to the handyman side. I’ve been having a lot of issues with the doors the handyman side Installed, among a few other minor issues. But Jeff, Kirk, and Charlie have been great, they are not stopping till everything is done properly and Charlie has kept the communication open and is very easy to work with.

Excellent company. Very responsive and friendly. They went above and beyond so many times, I lost count. Theres always someone who will do it for less money, but its not worth the loss of piece of mind someone like Schloegel gives you. They were able to replace the wiring in our nearly 100 year-old house which required access through plaster walls and ceilings with fairly ornate trim work as well as getting the banister of main stairway (which was original) safe for our toddlers with the final product looking like it had been part of the original house. Definitely pick them if you have an older house that needs some extra attention to detail and love. They wont let you down. The kitchen they remodeled is now our favorite room in the house!

I had Montana for my handyman. A+++ He showed up on time. cleaned everything up. Fixed a whole list of things from installing a new kitchen faucet, a dimmer switch, fixed the leaking dishwasher. I will use him again. Great service!!!

My husband and I used Schloegel for a guest bath expansion and remodel. It was a painless process (I was expecting it to be hard) but Ron made the process so easy. The hardest part was when they were finished, the dog was depressed when no one came over to give him treats! I went from tolerating my rooms to loving them. They always had my best interest in mind and guided the decision making process when necessary. We hired Schloegel to remodel our kitchen, living room, and dining room and they did an absolutely wonderful job. It is exactly what we wanted. My daughter wants to study interior design next year when she goes to college and Donna incorporated some design education into the experience as well. My wife and I retained Gayle Jagoda and the Schloegel team for a huge overhaul of our backyard space-adding a new screened in porch, a completely new patio and fire pit and completely new, tiled deck. We are in the midst of our kitchen remodel and our service has been top notch! From the beginning as the design was coming together, to the execution, it has been nothing but a very pleasant and fun experience. The designers have done an excellent job taking our vision and converting it into reality and adding personal touches we didn’t know we wanted. The contractors are punctual, very friendly, and are very good at the their craft.

We met with 7 or 8 different kitchen designers before selecting Schloegel based on several distinctive factors. Ron Webster patiently steered us through the entire process, and managed our expectations throughout. They presented us with a GANTT chart (!!) outlining every step of the project with dates and finished a couple of days early, which just shows how carefully they plan the entire project and investigate every aspect. Kyle, our lead carpenter, was terrific- patient, punctual, hard working, and very respectful, and kept us fully informed with daily email updates. Our project manager, Jeff, stayed on top of ever detail. The weekly meetings were short, on topic, and very useful particularly early in the project. Cant say enough good things about the company and will definitely use them in the future.

Schloegel recently designed and built a main floor laundry out of a linen closet that backed onto an existing ultra-small bathroom that still had the original gray and pink tile and desperately needed a redo. Somehow, Designer Kenny not only managed to find a way to incorporate all our needs into the spaces, but he actually made the bathroom a respectable size--all without compromising the size needed for the laundry facility. Whenever we had a question or whenever a problem needed a solution, Kenny thought of a way. Hes a kind and attentive person to work with, and were so appreciative. In addition, we had carpenter Shannon as our site manager and are SO LUCKY that he was assigned to our project! He took care of every detail of the design, made sure sub-contractors were on schedule, kept our house as dust-free as possible considering the difficult concrete demo that was needed, made best friends with our dog, and generally is just a great person to have around in addition to being so good at what he does. Every contractor who came to the house was respectful of our privacy and our house, and each ones work was excellent. We couldnt be more pleased. Thanks, Schloegel team! Please send the promised dog therapist :-)) to work with out dog Prescott, as he misses you all!

Everyone we worked with at Schloegel was amazing, and they were very easy to work with through the whole process! They were very transparent and realistic with timelines and budgets. At the end of each work day, they even posted photos and status updates from the days work on a very easy to use website, which was a huge help since we work during the day and didnt talk to contractors after each day. We are so happy with the way our front porch turned out, and we get a ton of compliments from our neighbors too. We will definitely use Schloegel again for our next home remodel project.

Schloegel Design Remodel completely remodeled our lower level, a walk out basement which had fifty years of wear and tear by occupants and pets and was a disaster. Schloegel came up with a great design and its construction crews began work exactly when scheduled and then stayed on schedule over roughly a two month term, with weekly progress reports and an on line system that reports daily. If you bring an issue to their attention, they respond fast. The finished product is beautiful. I have spent the last two months working in this remodeled space thanks to Covid 19 confinement. Every day Im grateful I chose them. They arent cheap but you will get a very good value for your money.

Rude, incredibly arrogant. We had a large bathroom remodel project we needed done. We had a woman come over a few weeks after I called, and we were told if we deviated in any way from the plans we had proposed, Schloegel would charge us a $3000 fee. For our single bathroom remodel, we were quoted without any specs a project cost of $155,000......for a bathroom.....Needless to say, it was obvious Schloegel did not want our business, and the project was done for $36,000.

Most amazing teams and their collaboration all together made us feel like we now have more family. We were left by our first contractor, ran, and took our trust away from anyone. Schloegel replaced the floor to ceiling screens on my deck and did a fantastic job. (I wrote another excellent review on this but hit the star to the Left, not the star to the Right indicating the 5 stars that I intended.). The staff was very professional and friendly, even tolerated my new 8 week old mini golden doodle who wanted their attention. The crew cleaned up beautifully, leaving no mess at all! My new screens are terrific and I will certainly use Schlagel in the future --5 stars all the way!

We remodeled our kitchen over 2 years ago. Our kitchen faucet had become loose and I contacted Schloegel to see if someone could come by and fix it as it required unique tools. Kirk came out within a few days and not only tightened it, but diagnosed a clogged valve and fixed that as well. I am impressed by Schloegels quick response and willingness to follow up for us.

Five years ago, we chose Schloegel for a bathroom remodel in our Brookside home. They took our community bath upstairs, and 2 small closets and turned it into a lovely little Brookside master bath. They did it on time and were conscientious about cleanliness. They were patient when I decided at the last minute that I couldnt do the painting on my own, quickly adjusted the bid, and found a resource to get it done and still meet our timeline. Fast forward five years, and we have a ceiling leak from a sink pipe. Its three years outside of the warranty, but they opened up our ceiling and a wall, fixed the pipe, closed up the ceiling and wall, painted them perfectly and left us as good as new at no charge to us. They stand by their work even when they arent obligated to do so, and when we had no expectation they wouldnt charge us. This company has integrity.

Schloegel did a fabulous job on a major renovation of our house. From the designer who listened and gave us more than we could have imagined to the workers on site each day, they were all top-drawer people to work with. Job finished on time and on budget. We highly recommend them!

We hired Schloegel Design Remodel to perform a number of minor repairs to our house such as patching drywall, tuck pointing our brick porch, painting some interior and exterior portions of the house, attaching some bathroom fixtures, fixing some loose woodwork on our deck, etc. Schloegels team was entirely professional from start to finish. We received a detailed price quote after a visit from one of their representatives. The workmen who did the job were knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and completed the job in the agreed upon timeframe. Prior to working with Schloegel, we had been repeatedly disappointed by other handyman companies that never returned calls, promised to do the job and then disappeared, etc., all wasting valuable time. From now on, Schloegel will be the company we will call for such work.

We put off our full kitchen remodel for many years because it was overwhelming. We researched multiple remodeling companies throughout KC this winter, and after having a meeting with Schloegel, we knew they were the ones. We have just finished a nine-week Kitchen Remodel which included a Great Room, Dining Room, Hallway, and Laundry room. The process started with the design process. Kelsey Kimble was our designer, and she is amazing. She is very talented and made the design easy and fun. Once we finalized the design, they presented us the timeline and budget required to turn the design into a reality. The project manager, Jeff Penrose kept things moving along seamlessly with the myriad of Sub-contractors required. Bill Workman was the Carpenter and led the charge every day. Every Sub-contractor Schloegel used on the project was top notch, and very professional! The project was completed on time, and on budget. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and joy to work with is why we will do our next project, Front Hardscaping, with Schloegel.

We have used Schloegel Design Remodel three different times for large projects in our home, but this was our first experience using the Handyman Division for a small project in our home. The difference between Schloegel employees and other repairman/contractors is amazing. Schloegel makes sure that the project is finished, from putting on the right hardware to grouting small spots of tile exposed in the repair. Also everything is left clean, and materials put away. I have had other contractors leave me with drywall dust everywhere and even construction debris. You really do get what you pay for, and it matters to have people working in your home who respect it.

Then the team came on site to execute the plan. Everyone involved was courteous and skilled and went beyond the call of duty. Kris did an outstanding job with our fireplace remodel and kitchen backsplash as well as painting our kitchen. He was very detail oriented and a pleasure to have around the house. The only aspect keeping my rating from being perfect was a lack of communication from our designer. Once our contract was signed, she had very little communication with us and made some mistakes with billing. But we will use Schloegel again. They do excellent work.

I’ve used Schlegel on both the remodeling front and also their handyman service. They are worth every penny, always on time, professional, and they get the job done the first time. I’ve never had an unexpected change order or an issue with any of the folks over at Schloegel and I call their handyman service out at least 2-3 times a year. They warranty all their work and there quality is high end. I had them replace a shower last summer and they discovered some unforeseen issues with the demolition and framing. They didn’t change their price and they worked overtime to get the job done in my timeframe...their reviews say it all, can’t go wrong with these guys!

We have had Schloegel do several big and small projects in our house. New kitchen, repair of finished basement, new walkout basement door, exterior house painting, repairing woodrot, indoor painting and several minor fixes. They have always been great. Schloegel recently did a few projects around the house from me. Joe did an awesome job with everything he did. The plumbing for my washing machine was not to code and looked like it could collapse or implode at any moment (I live an an old home where short cuts had been taken in the past.) I had just purchased a new washing machine and wanted to make sure there werent any issues. He re-did the plumbing and not only does it no longer look jankity but its to code! He also fixed our rotting door frame. He took the time to do it right. I love that the Schloegel team takes the time and has the craftsmen skills to complete projects the right way, the first time.

We started a Kitchen remodel in July of 2019 and we could not say enough good things about our Schloegel team. Donna, Billy, Bret, and Elias made this hectic situation manageable.
