Good cut and good atmosphere, BUT bad customer service!How so,Been 4 times each time my barber has had to ask what we were doing and just couldn’t remember how to cut my hair. Great clips takes notes, and remembers! The fourth visit I made to the Hawk the barber said, there was a lunch meet to get to for a friend’s birthday. And won’t have time to wash out and style the cut today. No discount or gift card was offered for the reduction in service. Was as if it was NO BIG DEAL and maybe even a COMMON OCCURRENCE. Went in for the fifth time and the last! I was told to come back or reschedule due to the barber running behind 25 minutes or more. Again, like it’s NO BIG DEAL, to the guy behind the counter telling me. Last but not least you can’t even call the actual shop you are directed to, well not sure where!Hey maybe they can’t call out either and that’s why they didn’t start calling customers to come later if possible or reschedule.Or that’s part of customer relations and that they lack.

Ive always had a fantastic experience at the Westport Hudson Hawk! Dan and Matt are 👌🏻💯. Recently, I came in with a bad haircut that needed fixing. Dan really saved the day.You can trust them with any cut, if you were looking to get something edgier or trendy. They have loads of different cut options to choose from, the facilities are clean, comfortable, and very modern. They just take very good care of you here. 10/10.¡¡BOOK AHEAD!! This location is obviously super popular and youll be pressed to get an appointment on your schedule unless you book a week or two out, so think ahead!

Since moving to the area I have exclusively had my hair cut here and I have yet to be disappointed by their service. The atmosphere of the space is young, welcoming, and laidback. The conversations Ive had with stylists has always been enjoyable. I do always make an appointment online in advance because they tend to be quite busy and its a drive from my house.

Esther is absolutely amazing! I have always had a hat on for 20+ years, never did anything with my hair besides keeping it short. I basically said Dealers choice. She came up with a style that fits, works in a professional setting now that I cant wear a hat at work, and gave me great tips on maintaining a hair style. 10/10 recommend Hudson Hawk, and 10/10 Esther, shes awesome!

Terrible. Better off going to snip n clip. Below average hair cut. Definitely not worthy of the barber stamp. Razer service could be classified as assault. Fade was very amateur with terrible result. The entire service took 20 minutes and Im so glad its over.

Honestly, Marsha excelled at cutting my hair today. This wasn’t just any haircut, it was an experience. I went in with an out right refusal to touch the top. I wanted a zero fade on the sides and that was it. After my consultation with Marsha, she convinced me to cut the top and honestly, I am so happy she did. I went from a 22 year old insecure about how my hair looked to finding a new confidence within myself after this cut.I will forever suggest Marsha for fades. She took time to make sure everything was perfect, even going past our timeframe just to get everything down. It was a pleasure sitting in her chair. Will be going back to her and only her from here on out.Thank you Marsha.

The process of getting the appointment was very easy and quick, and I got in the same day with Zach in the West Plaza location. I walked in and the smell was insatiable, and was immediately greeted and made to feel welcome. Zach did great work my beard, and the hot towel and straight razor treatment was amazing. Price was very reasonable, and the experience was perfect.

Was in town for work and stopped in here to get my beard trimmed and lined up. Good spot although a lot of religion talk. Not trying to talk about G.O.D. when Im in the chair. The trim wasnt bad, but I had to touch up when I got home.

My husband cares a lot about his hair. It took a lot of convincing for him to be comfortable with trying for a haircut again after so many bad experiences elsewhere. The website looked professional and we had the impression that they would be able to do whatvhe was looking for.We had made the appointment ahead of time online, but he was told 10 minutes before the appointment time that he would have to come back an hour later due to someone not being available.When the time did come for his appointment, he said the hair dresser was cold and unapproachable. He felt like she didnt listen, was rude when he tried to express what he wanted, and cut off way more off the top than he was comfortable with. Not sure if they were having a bad day or something else.Overall, he was visibly upset and hurt after yet another bad haircut experience. Wouldnt recommend.

My 6 year old daughter has been wanting to shave to side of her head all summer to be like her favorite aunt. Gabby has taken GREAT care of me since Ive switched to her from my previous barber. Her haircuts are always on point, and she asks lots of questions to make sure she gives me the cut I want. She has even stayed a little later to fit me into her schedule, which I really appreciated. Theres hardly ever any wait time, and checkout is always pretty fast. Kyle rocks! Best zero fade Ive ever gotten, my lines are straight and my scalp isnt raw or overworked, which is saying a lot since I have thick, mixed race hair. Kyle took his time and went over my head until everything was even and down to the skin, exactly what I wanted!Booked two appointments first thing in the morning, one for me and one for my fiancé, and the shop was open and ready for us the moment we walked in. They even had hot coffee on offer. Everyone acknowledged us, not just our barber and the woman at the front counter. Super cool vibe. Definitely the only place well be going from now on!

Ive been going to HH since college in Springfield so I was stoked when I saw they had one in KC now too! I was just getting random barbers (all did great jobs), but then I found one barber I clicked with and I felt did the best job so Ive stuck with him the last six months or so and have been really satisfied. Im not saying his name because Im forgetful and put in my appointments late. If more of you start using him Ill never get my haircut on time. Anyone you get here will be great!

First time customer, future repeat. Had a gentleman named Erik do a style on my hair Ive been wanting for awhile but was afraid to pull the trigger. Im happy to say he damn near replicated it perfectly after only seeing the picture once. The staff was fun and the salon was well kept. Would recommend to any guys looking to get a good quality cut without it costing an arm and a leg.

I had a regular stylist that chose a different path in life so I had the option of either go back to the simple style or research and try yet another stylist. I found Hudson Hawk and read several reviews. I found one name that kept showing up Eric. I booked his first available opening and was very pleased with the effort and expertise of the haircut.

Wow! I was asked when the last time I had a haircut I liked and I really couldnt remember when it had been. I went to the same person for a number of years and it was okay. After she moved from her shop again I decided to try Sport Clips a couple of times. Once again it was just okay.My attitude was that it was just hair and would grow back if I wasnt happy with it. I have short hair, how bad could it ever be? When that is all you have ever had, you dont realize how good a great haircut can make you feel!Milo listened to me, asked questions and gave me a great haircut!!! He used several techniques to address some of the problem areas I have had in the past with other haircuts. I was so impressed with the time and attention to detail that was given and the results show it. This is what you get with a true professional.Thanks again for showing me how it should be done. It is over an hour drive, but it is worth it and I will be back!!!

Not nearly worth a $30 haircut. Dont take their time, unprofessional staff. Not at all what they market it to be from their website. Good marketing to get the customers in the door I guess but the service doesnt come close. Try to get you in and out as quick as possible, staff acts like know-it-alls...Ive gone 3 times and had one haircut that I thought was actually close to worth the money..wont be going back here

The only place I have found near me that can give a great Zero Fade. A little pricey, but you sometimes get what you pay for. I recommend Lauren. She is great and i have never walked away feeling like something needed fixed.

Great Clips, Sports Clips, Etc... HudsonHawk is in the same category . HH claims to be a barbershop but it is definitely not...Kind of a joke. They have a google designed hipster vibe. Don’t waist your time going here if you are looking for a “Real” barbershop.

Pretty disappointed today. Scheduled a slot for 1130, no particular barber, and got there 15 min early. Sat down for 45 min and watched people come right in for an appointment and helped within 5-10 min. I just sat there waiting my turn but person after person came in after me and got served before me. Eventually the place emptied a bit while barbers went to lunch.I eventually left after I saw a barber or two making theirselves busy cleaning their stations...until their regular showed up and they got in. I was the only person waiting. I was ignored.Im looking for a barber closer to me so I thought that Id give this place a try.... would you like to schedule for a later date and time?. No, you lost my business.I suppose if you arent an established regular, dont come here. 🤷‍♂️

If you go, make sure you request Milo! He is fantastic!!! We take our 4 and 6 year old to get his hair cut here and only Milo can even come near them. He also has the patience of a saint to handle them. He cuts their dads hair as well. At one point I had a hair appointment cancelled and was in desperate need of a trim and Milo did a bang up job on my hair... I was desperate, he was nervous, but I think he surprised us both! No matter what kind of cut you are looking for, Milo is your barber! He can make you look as good (or bad) as you want!

I brought my nephew to Hudson Hawk to get a hair cut. Very professional, clean shop with a welcoming, comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Great quality of work! He loved the hair cut and appreciated the barbers attention to detail and making sure everything was done well! Well definitely go back again.

Im pretty particular about my beard trim and Ive been looking for someone that would do more than a quick clipper trim. Eric did an awesome job not only taking his time with the trim using scissors but also explaining what he was doing for the process of growing it out for a better groomed beard. I will definitely be a new returning customer!

Hudson Hawk Barbershop is for customers wanting a service beyond a haircut. It is for the modern-man who enjoys a nice environment with interactions among barbers, other clients, and of course an exceptional haircut / beard grooming. The barbers are thorough in discovering what kind of service the customer wants and then executing it perfectly. I have NEVER been disappointed with Hudson Hawk, and if were to be I wouldnt hesitate to let them know. I appreciate the complimentary water and suckers that they offer as well as the premium hair / beard products the sell in the store.

My haircuts with Joey at the KC location is honestly one of things that I look forward to the most. He pays extreme attention to detail and makes the experience enjoyable, it is like having one of my friends cut my hair. I dont think there is anyone else I would trust to cut my hair at this point. When it comes to the barbershop, all the staff are welcoming and pleasant. The design of the shop is exceeds what anyone that is looking for in the barber experience would want or expect. I think anyone that is not going to Hudson Hawk is missing out an opportunity that any modern man wanting to look his best would want.

This is not my normal barbershop, but I was recommended to Milo. He did a wonderful job at listening to how I wanted my hair cut. I was in a little time crunch and he still got the job done!

Haircut was a 6/10. Decent. Barber did talk me into buying some horrible hair paste. Tried it twice. Worst product ever. Went in thinking I could exchange like every other place. Nope- no exchange policy, even though my guy said I could. 20 other “hipster barbershops” in 10 mile radius. Don’t waste your time trying this one. Haircuture and Chop Tops is way better anyways.

I live in Johnson County Ks and Ill always make the drive to Westport to see any of the barbers available. Highly recommended

Took my son to see Milo tonight for a haircut. It is the best haircut hes ever had! I have previously mostly taken him to places like Super Cuts, which has been fine, but I have asked them to cut it in certain styles in the past and they dont fully hit the mark. Not true of Milo, he nailed it. I only vaguely described to Milo what I was looking for, and didnt even bother asking for the things I had in the past because I had been told that it wouldnt look right. Specifically, my son has a deep side part and i always have kept it a bit long on top with the rest of his hair closely cropped from about an inch or two above his ears, down to his neck. And I asked for them to angle the front so that it doesnt fall in straight line across his forehead (a la Dumb and Dumber). But I was told that if they did that it wouldnt look right, and they consistently cut his front hair pretty much straight across. Milo angled it so that it looks exactly like what I had previously envisioned, and I am so happy about that! And I didnt even have to ask! The rest of the details of his cut were sharp too, and overall did an excellent job. No rando long strays in the middle of the short hairs. straight, even lines, nice blending of lengths. He is a skilled craftsman. I also liked that Milo was super patient and great with my 3 yr old, which was really a nice surprise - given that this shop does not really cater to children, I wasnt sure what to expect. Milo is the best! Thank you! I am so happy to have such talent in our city, we will be back!

I had an awesome experience at Hudson Hawk. I just moved in to the area and was looking for a barber to hook me up with a beard trim, I am terrible at cutting the lines myself. I was happily surprised to find such a great place within walking distance. I walked in with no appointment and they were able to squeeze me in. The shop was clean, staff was cool, and my beard has never looked better. 10/10 will visit again.

I was pumped to try them out but it was average. Priced higher for what you receive. I got a quick, decent haircut. Was in and out in about 20 minutes. Cost $30 + $6 tip I left. Plenty of shops in the area that offer the similar hip, masculine environment at a much lower price. On the flipside, at the same price, many other area barbers go way above and beyond on the service. Maybe I just dont get it but I felt like I was paying more for some hipster marketing stuff and not for super good haircut.

Scheduled an appointment for my two boys And myself for a Saturday. I get a confirmation text stating everything is good and to confirm. An hour and a half before my appointment, I get a call saying that my barber has called in sick and they cant accommodate me for my appointment, yet they still want to keep the appointments for my boys. This place is a joke. Very unprofessional and I will never take my family here, I suggest you do the same if you dont want your time wasted.

Probably the worst cut I have ever had. Alex or whomever his name was didnt even wash my hair prior to cutting. Totally uneven. Total joke for a very expensive haircut. A gentlemans barbershop it is definitely not nor anything close. Just people that have a good front yet lacking any talent or customer satisfaction skills. You want to throw away 35-40 bucks on a crappy cut or act as if you are begging for a good haircut in order to get mediocre service then this is the place for you!

Not even close to the service that is marketed on their website, its a haircut and a rinse, says its a 45 min service, was out in under 20 min, no shampoo on the rinse, and all the extras were missing, lots of hype, no show. Good haircut... just not anything close to what is marketed.

I just came in with a vague idea of what I wanted and told the guy cutting my hair (Im terrible with names) to just do whatever he thinks would be best. It turned out great! I definitely found my new barber!
