Gerry is a rare barber. He literally pays attention to every hair on your head! I got a haircut from Gerry years ago while he was working at another shop, it was the best cut I’d ever received. Now He’s in his own shop and his talent has gone through the roof! The shop is clean, elegant and peaceful. My appointment was for 9am and Gerry arrived ON TIME!! This is one of the best places to be at in KC, a great atmosphere overall. The staff are just great, their customer service impeccable. It’s difficult to see a two star review here, especially when I recall being there for that specific instant. The customer ruined my experience at the place, and the staff saved it. I remember the wife of the customer being picky and rudE to the staff, and incredibly still wrote a bad review after getting free services and amazing care. I can’t believe we allow people like that to bully service staff. And one more thing Theresa, Gabby did a great job on the haircut and everything lasted an hour because of requested extra services. Hope you’re doing well, and find yourself a barbershop that matches your expectations.

Short back story: I’m exceptionally picky about my beard. I won’t even let my wife help me trim it.This place is amazing! Small barbershop on the second floor has a wonderful aroma, and quite a “established business” atmosphere. Although only in business for about a year, the professionalism and friendliness of all that work here is astounding. Alonzo was my barber and did a phenomenal job. I don’t live in KC - I’m up here visiting family; regardless, when I return, I’ll definitely be visiting Alonzo for another beard trim and shape. I’ll hold all future beard trims to the standard B KLASSY has now set.

Awesome place to get a haircut! The staff makes you feel right at home, the atmosphere is awesome, and the haircut itself was hands down the best Ive had. I will be coming back here for a long time! On a side note, it was a little difficult to find, the door is right next to Kansas City Taco Company, up the stairs and in a suite that didnt have any major markings on it, but luckily a staff member saw me and immediately welcomed me in.

However, everyone here is very friendly and even if I get a different barber, quality is high. Will not use you again. I had an appointment today, left work to get there and you tell me that my Barber had an emergency and had to leave. You could have emailed me since I had an appointment. But you lied. He no longer works there. I knew you were less than honest when you tried to let another Barber take my Barbers place. So because you lied, because you did not respect my time, I will not recommend your place, nor will I use your place. You are anything but Klassy.

Theres a few reasons why I’m not giving this place a 5 star. I made an appointment online for my boyfriend to get a trim with a hard part and bald fade. The place has outstanding reviews and looked really clean so we decided to give it a shot. We were hoping it would be what the reviews stated so he could have a steady barber while in Missouri. They called us to verify the appointment since it went through under my name which was fine, they stated they would send us information/ directions about the location since we hadn’t been there before. We drove over an hour for this place, no email/ text with the information they said they were going to send. We had to call when we were in the area, finally about 15 mins later we got a text with the information and a laundry list of regulations. IE; wear a mask, no waiting area, no plus one, temperature needs to be checked etc... since we spoke to them before we left and again before we got there, they didn’t say anything about not allowing someone to be with you, so my boyfriend decided to wanted to cancel so I didn’t have to wait in the car after already driving with him over an hour. When he called to cancel (with over 30 mins before his apt) they were super rude and hung up on him! Someone else called us back a few mins later and asked we not cancel. So, against our better judgment we went back. His appointment was suppose to be with Hunter but someone else cut his hair. What should have taken maybe 40 mins max took over an hour and she butchered his poor head. She took way too much off the top and now he can’t style it properly. Where his hair should fade into a bald fade was also extremely uneven. His hard part is crooked and she didn’t touch the back of his neck. I’m sure if we had got off to a good start with them it would have been a been a better experience. But due to the length of time it took to cut his hair and then the outcome of how terrible it looked we won’t be going back there.

Im a female with long hair (had it in a high bun for the cut) and I went here two weeks ago (fade is still clean) with an idea and photos of the fade I wanted and Gerry gave me a temple fade that would look best on me aesthetically. This might be long but I feel the need to say how I feel. I want to start off by saying Gerry is not cheap. Good food is not cheap, good cars are not cheap, nice homes are not cheap. Most of us dont understand the barber business. We look at it as a business but its actually an art. If you want a full beard and haircut for $25 you can find 100 places around the city. If you want a $1 McChicken you can find 100 McDonalds in the city. If you want a great high quality steak you will pay the premium price for it. When people tell me their barber is the best in Kansas City all I ask them is how much does he charge? If the answer is $25 then I know its not true. I met Gerry a long time ago....Ive seen barbers from here to Cali to Chicago to the middle East to Florida but never ever met someone as good as Gerry. His art is phenomenal. He keeps getting bigger and bigger. To be completely honest I feel like his days in Kansas City are numbered. Hes too big and talented for this city. What makes Gerry just a complete package is not only his skills and art its that he has such a genuine personality and heart. Hes one of the most genuine people I have ever met and he really is a unique thinker and hes a motivated person. This man has been blessed by God and Im sure of this! Even his wife who is there to get his back and support him is very nice and genuine and funny as heck. If your reading this snd never have tried Gerry yet dont even hesitate to try.
