I had the best experience when my vehicle had to be towed due to a brake issue. I was incredibly stressed and worried about the situation. The dispatcher was extremely helpful, the driver was very friendly and he picked up and towed my vehicle to the repair shop all with an hour! Overall they provided excellent customer service and helped put me at ease!Use them! You won’t regret it!

The owner, Danny, is really great! He was able to make my car key and get my car towed all today. The customer service was really awesome.

This was the worst tow company I’ve ever dealt with. First off, the driver brought my car to the wrong address. Instead of my car going to the repair shop it got sent to a dealership. On top of that, the driver turned the hazard lights on and kept them on overnight. Another tow driver got to it the next morning with a dead battery. As if that wasn’t enough both the female and male I spoke to over the phone were super rude. No empathy or concern whatsoever. They were complete rude and 100% unhelpful. They actually tried to act as if it was my fault!!! They tried telling me the driver told them I said it was ok to bring my car to the dealership lol. NO! Lies. Then they tried saying the driver told them that my lights were already on lol. NO, why would my lights be on during day light hours? These people did everything EXCEPT do their job and admit they were in the wrong. Unbelievable. You brought my car to the wrong place and killed my battery!! Then they complained they only got 40 dollars from my insurance company for the tow. You shouldn’t have gotten paid anything since you didn’t do your job!!! Completely rude and unprofessional. I wouldn’t ever recommend this horrible business to anyone after my experience

Danny met me at the tow lot to make a new key for a car of mine that had been stolen and was just recovered. He was fast, friendly, and reasonably priced. A week later the key he made wouldnt start my car. Danny came by my house and messed with it until he figured out the problem, fixed the problem, went above and beyond what he needed to do and didnt charge me anything extra. Him and his wife were very helpful and quick. Will definitely use them again and will recommend them to everyone.

My wife called the company and no one answered, and when someone finally did answer the man had rudely stated that “they had no tow trucks in her city and that she had called numerous of times”. We stay in KCMO so how do you not have tow service in KCMO if that is where the company is based. Also you pretty much told her that you saw she had been calling your company and you just chose to ignore answering the call. Friendly service...yeah okay don’t let the reviews of “friends and family” fool anyone who needs a tow.

They Canceled my tow and told me they were outside my house and I was literally outside my house since Ive called the first time and waited about an hour just them to tell me theyre not coming no more cause they came to my house(definitely someone elses house).

Incredible how many other companies I ended up calling before stumbling upon Hook N Book. The dispatcher was professional, and the driver arrived ahead of the quoted ETA. He was friendly and quick. Pricing was fair. Hope not to have to use them again any time soon, but highly recommend!

Had booked a tow to move a non running car a day before I needed it towed. Their Customer service got their job done just fine. Issues arise. I had a time and location set to move the car, nobody showed up, waited 30 minutes, I didn’t receive a call from them so I went ahead and called them. I got ahold of a driver and asked where the tow truck was. He said a driver had called in sick so they just brushed off my appointment. I asked if they could get a tow truck to me now, another 30-45 minute wait so I asked why no one else picked up the job or why I didn’t receive a call. at that point an attitude came out of the driver. I told him i’d still use them if they took a percent off the price and it ended up with him telling me off and to find another tow company... So I did just that.I figured if I called a company named Hook n’ BOOK I would be able to easily BOOK a tow truck ahead of time.

Quick, waited maybe 20 min. Driver was professional and super nice. Got my car loaded and secured. Fair price, dropped off and done. Will call this tow company again.

I would give less stars if I could! I called to get a quote on a tow, instead of remaining professional and providing the quote- the person judges me for my personal choices. When notified that I called for a quote and the specifics of my life did not pertain to him, he stated that “he was not interested in the tow” and disconnected the line.Very unprofessional as well as unethical. If he makes a habit of mixing his personal opinion with his professional business- I would not recommend him!

My car was wrecked. First tow company insurance company sent guy tossed his hooks into my intercooler denting it. Hook and book moved my car to the repair facility and I had no issues. Very good guys and gals here!

Must be fun stealing cars legally for a living. Its cool I break into stuff legally because I am a Lock Smith. Still pisses me off that my car was towed to Overland Park but your address states Independence (where I live) and the dispatch phone is 816 VS the 913 for Overland Park. And 260 for tow and 60 a day storage? Nah.

Have heard about them from the Independence Community Awareness group. Called last night and spoke with Danny and asked for a tow when my van decided it didnt want to start :( . Faster than insurance would have came. Tow guys name I believe was James. He was super nice. Definitely recommend.

My SUV was repoed and when I went to get my belongs out of it today My SUV had been ransacked. My glove box and center console was completely emptied out. Everything that was not worth anything was thrown everywhere. Anything that was capable of opening was opened and dumped.Im missing tools.money.personal stuff,and important papers with personal information. .This is ridiculous 😠. I should not have to worry about my stuff inside MY vehicle. You have some shady people working for you.

I used them through our Roadside assistance and the tow guy didnt even have a four way to get the lug nuts off. I got one out of the other car. Then he was so busy trying to take other business calls he couldnt focus. He took our keys and lost them from the time he towed our car from point a to point b. The keys had keys to our home and other vehicle and they lied and said it didnt. They claim they only had one key and lost it. To me they are liars and thieves. I dont feel safe and feel like he could come back and steal the cars and enter our home and we have to foot the bill because of their negligence to get new keys and the house relocked. Never use this unprofessional crook! I wish I could give them negative stars. I hope you read this and remember what goes around comes around and when you are out of business I hope you remember this.

So today on a hot Sunday morning, I had a mid-size SUV overheat & stop on a small exit off I70. I called & Danny answers. He gave me pricing over the phone. He said an hour was what he thought the timeframe would be. He was true to his word. I received a call early within that hour from the driver James. He let me know he was 10 min away. They arrived early. James tells me what to do with my car in neutral so as to position it for his rig to reach it. He gets it to my house and backs it up in the driveway without damages. It was fast & simple. I will use them again if the need arrives.

Always willing to go out of their way to help others. Doing a very dangerous and thankless job, but always manage to get it done professionally. Danny and the rest of the crew are very dedicated to the job they do.

Guy never showed me an invoice or gave me an estimate charged me a 65 dollar hook up fee and 3 dollars a mile my for something that was less than 6 miles away charged me 85 then said it was close to 100 he rounded it down to 80 to try and ease my frustrations I had to ask for a receipt from Richard this just wasnt a professional tow for what I paid

Wow! These guys are awesome and the price you cant beat. I had to have my mother in laws car towed to my house. It broke down and she was able to get it to a parking lot with the help of my husband. She however sent me to wrong location after I had already told them the address. I had to switch locations on them at the last minute and still they made it there with no problems and were very nice even after the incovience. They were very careful with the car even though it is a POS but I really respected that. I would trust them with any of my vehicles seeing how they conduct business would recommend them to any of my family or friends.

Called today from I435 for a tow.Told them truck broke down.....told them we would be towing to a residence on Sni Bar 1.9 miles away. Truck arrived in a timely fashion. Woman jumps out of passengers side and comes back to where we were in our vehicle. It was pouring. She said. Someones coming to get one of you, because we dont have room for both of you....just one.My friend said hed have to call someone to pick us up. She walked back to the tow truck, got in and drove away.I found this to be not only rude inconsiderate behavior......but totally unprofessional. Should have known this was a trashy outfit just by their name.
