Avoid at all cost. This man Nick does not know what hes doing. Overcharged me, did not fix problem, and doesnt seem to care now he wants me to pay 14,000 for an new engine so confused.
They tried to over charge me for a simple thermostat change a $13 piece that takes a few minutes. Had the nerve to say for parts and labor almost $500 dollars on my 05 Impala. Never go there crooks plain and simple.
My experience there was very satisfying. I have no complaints on the performance. Everything was done 2 my satisfaction.
Dropped my car off at 9 am. It wasnt ready until 5:45pm that same day. My 2-3 hour service turned into 8.5 hour service. When I had left that morning I was told 3 cars were ahead of me, only 3. Not sure what happend, and it wasnt addressed either at the time of pick up. I had to call and check up on my service at least 3 times. My advice, be prepared for the unexpected, have a back up plan just incase your veichle isnt ready until 15 mins before they close! Everyone was nice though, no problem there!
Todays experience is bad.... I was the first person there and was told I couldnt have an oil change today because all the bays where already full. So I asked for an appointment and they wouldnt make one for my day off. I work 2 jobs. However I was able to go around the corner and make an appointment with Firestone for my day off next week. Thank you Firestone for that. Calverts your inability to be flexible and help customers will cost you customers. Katie
Called in and was told there was a 30 min wait got there to drop off the car and then I was told there was a 2 hour wait. I asked if I could bring it back in two hours to have the work done, I was told that would be fine. Brought it back 2 hours later and I was told it will still be 1 and half wait time. Will not be back
Very professional I felt comfortable with the service that I received at the front desk. I have used the company one time before and I had very positive results therefore I used it again and received the same results I am very satisfied
I have used Calverts several times. They have provided me with quality work.
They were kind and very helpful. I would go back to them again.
It was the best service Ive ever had I would recommend this place to anybody in everybody and they are very polite too
Awesome experience!Highly recommend Victor Nicassio,Very knowledgeable, very understanding. A plus Service overall.
Good and fair pricing to get your vehicle fixed. They do not have enough mechanics. Be prepared to get your vehicle in days!
Good Pepole great attiude good job
I have never been to this business but I had a coupon for a $16 oil change so decided to try it out. I am not making this up but from the time I checked in until I drove away was 15 min. I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t have an appointment or anything. I walked in handed them my coupon for an oil change and 15 min later was done. I will go back for sure!!
Had front brakes and rotors replaced w/ an oil change. Days later heard squeaking from brakes, which I was told to expect due to ceramic brakes( never had this issue in the past). A few days later, noticed grinding noise from newly replaced brakes. Took car back in for concern. Technician no longer there, new tech claims no findings. However, the brakes occasionally grind and squeak before coming complete stop.
They really did an AWESOME job checking out and servicing my vehicle.
They were professionals with their services, and now I have a new auto shop thanks Calverts...
Love they work so far question: do you guys give discounts to City workers? And or 55 and older please let me know. Thanks,
You need more. Workers to long of await. 5 hours for an oil. Chance
Clean and safe for the customers ! Eric the manager was honest about what I needed and didn’t need. They were great and reliable. I definitely recommend
Service was timely, professionally done and very pocket friendly. Will absolutely go here again!
The head mechanic was very personable.
Overcharged me and wouldnt let me use any of their supposed coupons. Last time I went they lefty oil pan cap loose. Could have cost me an engine.
I went in earlier this morning I needed to get my brakes fixed and they had a special going on only to be told that my calibers was locked and that the total to get it fix was $620 on the low end $680 on the high end. I left there actually went to my car dealership just to be told that there wasnt anything wrong with the calibers my brakes needed to be changed my brakes were bad and my rotors which only cost me 2 something long story short never again thank god i went for a second opinion
It was the worst experience of my life. They are big scam artist. I went there for a front end alignment. They told me they were unable to do it because i needed new tires on tbe back. Then they charged me 50.00 claming that it was for inspection.
They got me in quickly, used a coupon, saved me 10 bucks or so and got me done fairly quickly.
Very good and was on time and kept me informed from the beginning to the end
So I went to this Calverts about a week ago to get my oil changed and my brakes checked. They told me they would call me after the inspection.. So the technician Daniel called me and told me that my radiator had a crack in it, transmission fluid is leaking, my oil pan has a crack in it etc etc. All of those things r not true, my husband checked to make sure. They were trying to charge me $1,493.46 to fix all of those things that turns out dont even need to be fixed!!To top off all of that, when they did the break inspection they didnt tighten my lug nuts when they put the tire back on. So when I was driving my jeep the other day I could start to feel something wrong with my tire & it felt like my tire was going to fall off when I was on the highway & luckily I made it home safely. When my husband looked at the jeeps tire he noticed that all five of them were so loose he could turn them with his fingers!!! Im very lucky to have made it home without my tire falling off. Also, Im not even sure they changed my oil since my jeep is still saying to change oil....I will NEVER EVER go to Calverts again, nor will I ever recommend anyone to go there!! In fact make sure u stay clear of that place. You dont want this to happen to you!!
Phenomenal is the only word to describe this place. Great service, super friendly staff & the best prices anywhere. They had my F150 in & out with a new exhaust system (which sounds amazing) in less time than it takes to order pizza. Shelby at the front desk was great & Josh explained everything they were doing & why it would work the best for me. I could not be happier with the service I received. I will gladly recommend this place to everyone I know!
They were trying to up-sell me a service that I did not need for $850.00, plus they refuse to do the work that I needed done. Oh... and they charge me for it!!! I will not go back there.
They opened late that was the only thing that bothered me
I had a 16.00 oil change coupon. I took my Subaru in. the first thing they did is jacked the price up to $29.99. which I agreed to . I then left and one hour later they called me up and informed me my car was done. I went to retrieve they informed me they couldnt do my oil change because my engine is junk and needs replaced. I asked them why, their answer was I had 300,000 miles and my rods are knocking in which I could not here and I have a blown head gasket. I took my car home and checked the antifreeze level . it was good, I pulled dipstick and no sign of antifreeze in oil. I took my car to my mechanic and had him do the oil change and check over the engine. the only problem with car was both the upper hose clamps on the radiator were loose. if they didnt want to honor the coupon all they had to do is tell me they wont honor their coupons or that they were just to lassie to work on my car.
There is usually no wait time at this location, always too busy on Sh Mission Prkwy location . Better price than other oil change places . Under 30 bucks !
I am just so very please with the service and the mechanic are excellent!
$1000 AND FIXED THE WRONG PROBLEM
Love the service that I received. My car was behind on oil changes due to covid, but they got my car running like its new again.
The calvert’s staff were very friendly, and professional. Their services were done quickly, and clean.
They are absolutely amazing and I am so blessed to be part of this group
They are quick, honest and upfront about pricing. Been 3x times now great service.
Clearly they dont care what lengths their customer have to go through. Given a person cannot sit and wait for shop repairs. I called before coming to ensure I could come drop my vehicle off to obtain a simple oil change. After taking 20mins to get to this location getting my 3yr old out. I was declined service when arrived. After being told I could come, I even advised ot would take me 20mins to arrive. Laugh outloud. He compared himself to a doctor as to why he cant work on my car after calling. Its fine I will never come bac . 0people please dont waste your time calling because when you arrive you will not get service, because they choose what customers they want to service. I just walked out laughing. How unprofessional and a waste of my gas and time calling.
Radiator fixed......Very professional.....I will be coming back!!!
I dropped off my car & simply told them...the car is running hot. When Clay called me & told me the price of the service - he only quoted me for the service I needed. He didn’t try to ‘throw in’ extra services that I didn’t need. The entire experience with this location, has been the best. Honest, good prices and excellent work!!! This will be my go-to place for all auto repairs!
Experience was Good 👍
I have taken both my wife and my vehicles to have been serviced there at that location and both times the whole staff was very nice and took care of our cars.
I had an appointment for 130p and my car want even taken into the garage until 300p.
Too high priced and I probably dont need what they say I need
I came here to get new front brake pads. I had a coupon for $59.99. my car ended up being one of the ones that didnt qualify for that deal. I only had $70 (enough for the coupon price and sales tax). After explaining this to the manager, Tyler, he made sure I got the brake pads I needed to make the car safe to drive again for the price I could afford. This is by far the best auto repair shop Ive ever been to. He could have easily told me too bad and sent me on my way without doing the repair. He went way above and beyond. He has earned a customer for life. We will be bringing all of our cars here from now on.
Just about to cancel my 2nd appointment. They made me an appointment and i showed up. Drive across town in a car that needs work just to be told nah our guys have alot going on wont be today. Then how or y did u make the appointment? All good. Just do it myself. Thanks anyway.
Read all the reviews and was unimpressed with the majority. Who knows what problems arise while their in there working on the car. You always have to read the small print on whatever coupon you utilize. Everyone knows that. Or so I thought.... There are limitations to everything. Always........ Looks like most of the reviews were unreliable and uneducated observations. You can always say no. Claverts do not use bullying tactics. Its only recommendations. I have always received great service. Never have been steered wrong and have said no before. Will continue to use Calverts without hesitation. Thanks again. !!!!
They wanted to fix things on my Chevrolet thats didnt need fixed. they also didnt tighten the nuts on my front tire and when I went to check them about an hour later they were all loose on my drivers side.
I had a great experience when i took my car to get worked on. Everyone was super nice and professional. I took it and dropped it off they took no time to get it done and even called me to let me know exactly what was wrong witw it as well as calling me and told me how long it would be till it was finished. When i picked it up it was quick and easy and no problems at all. Everyone was super nice.
I typically go to other places for my oil changes and service, but received a coupon in the mail for a $14.99 oil change and decided it was worth the extra drive, and decided to give them a chance. Upon arrival, I was informed that because of my vehicle (2002 CHEVY CAVALIER, so not a particularly nice or new car) that coupon was only good for $4 off. That led to my $14.99 oil change becoming $32. Very deceitful. On top of the extra charge, most places tend to top off fluids as a part of the oil change - NOT the case here. I paid an extra $4 (!!!!) to have them do it, as I didnt have time to get to it myself. Unfortunately they just collected my money and never bothered to even fill or check the fluids (my washer fluid was bone dry prior to arrival). This was all bad enough, but I had asked them to get me a quote for new tires prior to my return (the service writer even noted & highlighted it on the ticket). When I returned to pick up the car, I had to wait for the writer to go out to the lot to get my tire size, then a bit longer for her to put together a quote. Overall my experience was terrible, and unfortunately Calverts has lost my business for good after just one visit.
Great customer service
I went to this Calverts to get my AC fixed. I had a coupon but they said it didnt mean anything because the price was the same. Lots of excuses coupled with poor customer service. Ill never be back.
Horrible experience! The Manager Eric is very rude to customers and his own employees! He made me feel like I was an idiot and didnt know what I was talking about because I am a woman. I would not recommend this place to anyone!
Too expensive
I sent my wifes car in for a Oil Change and Alignment with the coupon it was a great deal. We unfortunately found that it needed more work (tie rod) they did a great job on the replacement, but then it needed a new rim for the tire (quoted me $119.99). Then we needed new tires 2 for the front, after all of that. So I called our regular mechanic and he helped me find a rim for $35. and in passing said I had overpaid for the tires. All in all I overpaid about $100. I understand needing to make a profit but I still Feel like I was Overcharged. I for one WONT be going back. I mean $40 to move a tire from the front to the back. $503 is a lot of money to a Soon to be student. The only reason why I gave it two Stars was because I found out I could have saved money. The staff there were friendly and mechanics seemed knowledgeable.
The wait time was reasonable. Id recommend this location. I walked to Italian delight and enjoyed dinner while waiting for an oil change 😊
I won a free oil change at an auction. When I went there I was informed that it doesnt cover the oil my vehicle needs and between paying half cost for the oil change at the auction and the additional charge they provided me the total came to a five dollar discount. So I technically paid more than if I had just taken it to Walmart or CarMax.
I went yesterday for a oil change. Josh the manager was great. good customer service I recommend this location!! Got in and out
The lady was rude when i called and acting like i was asking dumb questions. They don’t do appointments here. Its just “show up, wait a few hours, depends how busy we are”
I went to calverts to get a simple oil change and they gone tell me i need front break pads and a coolant flush and two new rotors. So i paid for the oil change and told them i would come back for the breaks and coolant flush. Once i left there i went to go have my breaks and rotors looked at and i did need breaks but my rotors were perfectly fine and so was my coolant in my car. They did a excellent job on my oil change but they be trying to get extra money for stuff thay dont even need to be touched. Also its stupid they dont accept appointments anymore for oil changes. Nobody wants to wait 3 hours for a oil change even if you there when the doors open.
The workers here were very friendly but after I checked my invoice I’m not sure they know what there doing. I by all means am not mechanic and am not sure what needed to be done but when I went in told them “I needed my breaks and pads changed” that in my mind would include all 4 breaks and all 4 pads apparently not here. My Invoice states there were only 2 rear break rotors and only one rear break pad replaced so now after 422$ I will have to dish out another couple hundred to finish the job I’ve already paid Calverts to do.
I like taking my car to them because theyre trustworthy, they do great quality work, and because Shelby and Josh are just friendly and fun.
I received a coupon in the mail for a $16.99 oil change and decided to go. Upon arrival, I was informed that because of my vehicle was 2010 Hyundai that coupon was not going to be applied and told me it was going to be around $30. So, I decided to leave because they told me a lie. Other people could have stayed, but not me... There is a Jibby Lube close to them with discounts and no lies.
I have read the reviews that dont reflect positively on Calverts, and I couldnt disagree more. My experience was one hundred percent good ! The staff are friendly and helpful, and the cost is very reasonable. I will be using this crew for all of my auto repairs from here on out . You should too !
I took my car to get an oil change Sat the 13th. They did a great job and in the timely manner they told me it would take them. The staff was very friendly and I appreciated that. It was my first time taking my car there and I will take my car there next time. Thanks
I will never forget how I was tricked into getting extra serves I didnt need. How do I know that.... Two other shops told me so.I will NEVER give this company any of my money again. Period
I went for a brake service. They told me 45 mins but i was there over 3 hours. They found unnecessary things to tell me needed fixing. Things that are less than 6 months old thinking I would agree to them but Im not that woman thats not alert and on top of my maintenance. However the ladies around me, mainly elderly women, seemed to be targeted. Guys take time to go with your mother/grandmother and have their vehicles serviced. Please
Great job
Worst place to ever to take a vehicle. Receptionist is extremely rude and management isnt any better. Please avoid bringing your vehicle here. Save your time and money and go elsewhere!!!
Great service. No problems everytime I come here. Have had my water pump changed, tires and brakes, and oil changes
I had my oil changed and the guy at the front counter was oh so pleasant everyone should have someone working in their store like him
I was told no appointments on Saturday, first come first serve be here at 8am. Cool were ( my 7yr old and I) here before 8am and the door was open! Great I thought this should be smooth! I get to the receptionist and tell her whats going on with my car. IDK if she was confused or what but she decided I needed to talk to someone else. Two minute conversation with this man and Im now 7th in line! Been here two hours and they still havent gotten my car back there! They are nice otherwise but come on you put me further to the back of the line why should we have to suffer and wait?! Update: after 4 hours we were paying and leaving with the issue fixed. Thanks for fixing the part. No thanks to making us wait longer than we needed to.
This place is a rip off I wouldn’t recommend my enemy to take there vehicle to this shop. First of all I dropped my vehicle off at 9:00 am I was just getting a alignment and tuneup. I guess because I came in with with a nice truck and fancy rims that they assumed that I had money. I was told that my truck was going to be ready within two hours. I didn’t receive my vehicle until after 7:30 pm. Manager had called me because they got a tool stuck inside my truck. Your best bet is not to use this company otherwise you’ll be ready to whoop somebody’s ass in there
Food wasnt very good Wed Nov 11.
I dont know how this place stays open. They send out coupons for a cheap oil change. Then they say the oil on the coupon is not recommended for your car. They get your car on the rack then call you in back and tell you everything in the world is wrong with your car. I have seen them get older people for up to 900 for repairs.
Would not recommend to anyone. Went for an oil change, and had coupon. Explained that was the only service I needed. Was told they wouldnt change my oil due to problem with front crank shaft seal. Saying my car had oil pouring out of it. They could repair it for fee of 254.24. All I wanted was a 15.00 oil change. I left in total dismay. Had not noticed oil in my driveway nor show low on dip stick when I had checked. No low oil light lit on dash control panel. Drove my car to another auto service business. My car was not pouring out oil nor was it low on oil. At this point I was enraged. I purchased oil and oil filter and changed my own oil. Still driving with no oil pouring out or any sign of a leak. Did they assume a female would just fall for their BS. Not this one! But how many other females have they pulled this stunt on????CONSUMERS BEWARE CALVERTS EXPRESS AUTO SERVICE....HAS AN EXPRESS PATH TO YOUR WALLET!
Replaced what I told them I did not believe was the problem. Refused to check what I believed to be the problem. Took several days. Have not been able to reach district manager. Will never go there again!
If I could give no stars I would, I will never take my vehicles here ever again not only was it a waste of time but also a huge waste of money! I took my suburban in last Wednesday because the brakes were acting up they did a diagnostic and said it was the abs module. This was going to cost over $1,200 to fix but decided that it needed to be fixed so I said ok. Me and my husband asked how long it would take and the guy said about an hour and a half this was around 12-1 pm I called around 3 and was told he was having issues getting the part off but that he was still working on it. At 5:30pm I hadn’t heard anything else so I called back and she said that he was still working on it and that it wouldn’t be ready untill the Friday. I called the next morning and was told that he needed to get more bolts to go back on the part that the ones that were on it broke so he was almost done. Later that afternoon I finally get word that it’s done and when my husband got home we went and got it. Low and behold the problem wasn’t fixed there were also no bolts holding the part in place so if it would of came off someone could have gotten seriously hurt. I called the corporate office and was told they would get ahold of the guy and he would call me back. Still haven’t heard anything I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone and if you go there be prepared to spend a lot of money and there is a good possibility that your issue won’t be fixed. I’ll be contacting the better business bureau!
I went for brake service 7/15 and was refused service by Josh because I couldnt afford the brakes he wanted to put on my truck. I called Corporate and they talked to Josh. I was told by Kevin at Corporate and he told me to go back 7/16 and my brakes would be changed. I felt like they shoulda gave me some kind of discount for the burning gas going back and forth and the inconvenience I had to go through. When I went on 7/15 I sat always 2 hrs to just be turned away. Smh. I will be looking for a different place to go from now onResponse to whom ever responded to my postLies. I went in for the $59.00 special for brakes. He wanted to put a different kind of brakes on my car that at the time I could not afford. Josh then said that he would not do the service on my truck because I would just be back and forth with the brakes that I wanted on my vehicle and I had to leave w/o my brakes being done. You was not there and you can be told anything but we have the whole thing on record. I was turned away because I did not have almost $140 for brakes when I only went there for the $59.00 special and this was stressed to them went I first arrived yet I still had to leave w/o my service like I said. Im gona always hav my proof and I didnt even no my 6 yr old was recordn everything wit his phone. I have none to lie about. I no what I went through there & the only reason I said they shoulda gave me a discount was because I was turned away after biting my gas to get there for a specific service. After I called Corporate he the one that talked to Josh and told me I could go back the next day and he will change them for me
Customer service is friendly, the pork dumplings were dry and burnt. The egg drop soup was very gross
Great workers, excellent knowledge from no bs mechanics. I trust them
I called in the afternoon and they stated they were not taking any more cars, all I needed was an oil change smh Everytime I call its a problem.
Great service great prices compared to other place for an oil change close to where I live so its convenient, people are nice there
Had oil changed had cupon staff was freindly price with cupon was great . It appears they did a good job .best I can tell for oil change. At least they put the plug in. Better than other places Ive been that habitually forget that minor step
Added on extra work for more money
Took our car to Calverts on Wednesday because we found a coupon for new brakes with service for $60. After James looked over the car for a moment, he determined that the coupon did not apply to the cars needs and that it would actually cost $587 for new brakes. The car is a 2001 Chevy. But we need brakes, so he asked for $100 to order the part. After leaving (near closing time) and discussing it, we decided not to go forward with the repairs. Called back the next morning when they opened to notify them that we would not be using them for repairs and was notified that we could not get our $100 back. The part had not been ordered and, even if it had, auto repair shops return parts ALL THE TIME. I called back again to ask James what exactly the $100 was for if the repairs were not going to be done AND we could not collect the part. He said that it was for ordering the part. Now Ive never worked at an auto shop, but in other companies where frequent orders/shipments are being made, the company DOES NOT pay for individual shipping. Im certain this is the case at Calverts, but theyre business practices are obviously crooked. After writing reviews to warn potential customers NOT TO DO BUSINESS HERE, I am going to file a complaint with Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley and urge anyone who has suffered loss of hard earned money for no reason to Calverts. Thieves should not be tolerated and handled by the proper authorities.
Bad
I paid a lot of money to have my vehicle fixed which they said the alignment machines had a vehicle on so they did the old way. They claimed it was to windy to justify their work, on my way home no wind was blowing and the steering wheel is off now. I brought it back like they told me to do and once again excuses. I would never recommend my enemy to come have their vehicle fixed here! Cant keep a good word!
This is the most honest garage I have ever been to. Saved me 300 dollars on services I didnt need but was told by another garage (NTB) that I did. Nick has been doing this a long time and has a great business ethic. Highly recommend.
My car was already sitting at Tires Plus so they told me already that I needed a new water pump. I called Calverts to get a quote for the same repair job and was told I needed to bring the car in, that a quote couldnt be given without looking at it. Hard to believe. I bet they just want to quote me other things after looking at it. I didnt like how he couldnt give me a quote on a specifically stated job.
Try to sell service not needed
Good service but cannot align a twin I-beam suspension
Good service. Friendly people. Took a little longer than planned but all in all good service
Not expensive as I thought. Very reasonable
Nothing added
Fast service.... they gave no comments about my vehicle, which I actually appreciate. If I havent fixed it I dont like places trying to sell me on letting them do the work.
My vehicle over heated on a Saturday afternoon. This Calvert’s was the closest option with immediate availability. I requested they check the radiator and cooling system, and run diagnostics if necessary. After two hours, the manager informed me diagnostics ($80) indicated a bad radiator cap ($25). He also said they found a blown O2 sensor and torn front CV boot. He claimed all the work with “premium” parts could be completed in 1-2 hours. The sensor would be about $380 with labor. However, the radiator cap and CV boot with axle had already been replaced about four months back. I decided to take my car back to my regular mechanic and have him redo the work I already paid for. The Calvert’s manager was very pushy, kept saying “What can I do to convince you to get the work done here and make us your new mechanic?” And generally he tried to convince me my mechanic was no good. I just had to smile at that because there’s no good answer for a salesman’s question like that.Initially, I agreed to have them replace the O2 sensor simply for convenience of time, thinking it’d be the same cost elsewhere. Then I tracked down the exact part number and distributor he claimed to use, and found it was one third the price he was charging. We discussed this and he claimed it was a different part. Not to mention the $25 radiator cap when the previous one cost $10.99 from my regular mechanic. More on that in a second. So the sensor... I was in the waiting room more than four hours only to be told they had the wrong part and wanted me to leave the car over the weekend and they would finish it Monday. Personally, I think they knew I would be able to look and see if it was the same part we discussed earlier that I told him I didn’t want to be upcharged for. I told them to put the bad sensor back in and ring me up for the radiator cap, because by this time it was late in the evening and if I’m waiting until Monday it will be for a mechanic I trust. So Calvert’s charged me $108 for diagnostics and a radiator cap. Which is a rip off and they should be ashamed to run their business like that. Additionally, I took the old cap deemed a “faulty part” back to my regular mechanic who sold it to me. There was nothing wrong with the cap. He ran diagnostics and found the car has a bad head gasket that’s about to go, that’s why it’s pulling too much coolant from the radiator. Not only did my mechanic repair the cv boot free of charge because that was actually a faulty part, but he did not charge me for the diagnostics. If Calvert’s had actually run the diagnostics they charged me $80 for, or maybe just known what they were doing, they would have found there was a bad head gasket. Not that I would trust them to do the work. The people here are personable and it was an ample facility. But the triple plus upcharge on parts, premium labor costs for mechanics that are obviously inexperienced, the pushy salesmanship tactics, and the sparse and dirty lobby will have me calling a tow truck on the side of the road and waiting for my regular mechanic over ever pulling into this location, or any Calvert’s location, again.
You go in for one thing and they will find several other things wrong with your vehicle. Took my car in for a water pump and ended up costing over a thousand dollars. Two days later my power steering went out, was told that I need all this work done which would have costed.....you guessed it a thousand dollars. Took my car to another repair shop, and it only cost $127....Its sad in this day that places thrive on ripping people off!
