The Technician was actually a little early which was great. He was able to address the problem in about 15 minutes - it was an A/C electrical repair. Very knowledgeable and professional. Explained what was wrong and what he was doing to correct it.

The ac went out and we had them come out and diagnose the issue and they jumped through hoops to locate the problem and ultimately got us back in the cool. They installed our system 5 years ago and we had them do our preventive maintenance since then on a bi-yearly basis and every time they come here it’s always very professional and respectful of us and our property. We have used Midwest for a number of years. They are always professional and able to fix whatever issue in a timely way - very satisfied. Especially since our air went out on the hottest day of the year and fortunately was up and running again in a few hours!

100 degrees and the AC is struggling. I called expecting to see them in a couple of days. They were able to work me in. Clint did a great job diagnosing and fixing the issue.Its keeping up now.

Late on Sat. night we called Midwest for emergency service on our water heater that was leaking water all over the basement. After 6 calls the person who was on emergency service called me. Some how in 3 minutes he diagnosed we needed a new water heater. However he didnt have one and the warehouse was locked. My gosh shouldnt he have had the key? Then he told us he needed to call his manager and he would call us back first thing Sunday morning. No call. Not even a call on Monday. Do they deserve our service ever again? No! I have switched to another company that showed me they were interested and willing to provide us competent service for our heating, a/c and plumbing.

Above and beyond happy with the entire process. They had the best price for a Trane of 6 quotes and best terms. The estimate process was simple but well detailed. The price estimated was what we were billed. The scheduling was quick. The installers were on time and done an hour early. They didnt leave any trash and all fittings are sealed and put together exact. I honestly had no idea of what a great install looked like till they did ours. When its time to do our ac theyll be my first call. Impressed!

I am a new customer and today was supposed to be my first maintenance service (June 11, 2021). We signed up for the air defense maintenance program about 4 or 5 weeks ago and scheduled service for today on our units. I stayed home to be present when the technician arrived for service. This morning, the day of service I get a call from the CSR telling me that I would have to reschedule as they did not properly load the work schedules vs. work demand. The CSR made me fell like my time was not valueable. Funny how they did not realize they could not handle the work before the day of the work, poor planning on thier side. Oh well, not a good first impression and I will move on to find another service provider.

We just had Midwest Heating Cooling & Plumbing replace our furnace replaced yesterday, and we couldnt be happier. They offered a fair price and got it all replaced ahead of the timeframe that they gave us.Up front Greg Latshaw was very willing to explain what they were proposing to do and why he thought it should be done that way. Im not a fan on being sold on a bunch of components or upgrades that cant be explained in the moment, and he never made me feel like that was his intent. In fact I came away more knowledgeable about how furnaces work and I greatly appreciated his insights and recommendations.

I had 2 guys who did an excellent job to install a gas line with minimal sheetrock holes in my finished basement and I threw in random extra work on the spot like changing the water main valve and outside water faucet and shut off valves while they had access and they did it on the spot quick and professional. I like my new furnace/ac system. The new thermostat they put in is much easier to use and see. I appreciated the company sending someone to help with the furnace when it was freezing outside. Also, they were able to fix the leak under a bathroom sink very quickly. Their prices were reasonable too. I would recommend them to friends and family.

Repaired minor leak and recharged unit with 6lbs of R410A refrigerant cost $736, that’s crazy. I will never use them again.

Midwest replaced my 23 year old Lennox home HVAC system with a new, top of the line, high efficiency, Lennox system for a reasonable price. I was impressed with the fast, free, custom tailored, detailed estimate, the ability to have the new system installed within just a few days, and the speed and quality of the installation team.The estimator (Tom) arrived just two hours after I called, was very personable, very knowledgeable, and helped me select the right components at the right price (with guidance about costs, efficiencies, energy savings, rebates and tax credits) to match my criteria. I liked that he had many years of experience, and he went above and beyond to make sure my new system (which replaced a broken system) was installed before an upcoming cold blast. I received two other estimates, and they did not go near as well, with a generic good, better, and best high priced estimate (without input from me) from one company, and another company selling only units from lower quality manufacturers.The installation team started at 8:30 am, and went right to work. They also had many years of experience, and were ready for my walk-thru at 3:00 pm. They did a great job in a short time. Nice!Overall, I can highly recommend Midwest for home HVAC system installations.

I’ve used Midwest for a long time then moved to a new place. Called them to clean a drain and replace a bathtub spout. The little thing you pull on the spout wasn’t fully diverting the water from the tub to the shower. I’m of bad health and don’t have time or energy to deal with these things, thus I let the guy rip me off. Cost: $99 for visit, $210 to clear bathtub drain(5 minutes work - just poured a drain cleaner down it), $200 to install bathtub spout. They were going to charge an additional $99 on top of this for 2nd visit to install spout, unless I paid them $310 that day to clean drain. I have a Midwest furnace & water heater too. No one can tell me where the filter goes in. The Midwest plumber couldn’t tell me. They asked for ANOTHER $99 to send out a furnace guy. So, all total, the cost to clean one bathtub drain, replace the bathtub spout, & show me where the furnace filter is installed: $710 + taxThe Midwest plumber could not tell me where the filter goes. I repeat, Midwest was going to charge me 3x $99 for each visit 1/initial visit 2/visit to install spout 3/visit to tell me where the filter goes in the Midwest installed furnace(no repair) This is on top of the drain cleaning(5 minutes work) & spout replacement of $410 for a total of $710. I admit I agreed to pay initial visit fee and the drain cleaning & spout replacement, but just because I agreed does not mean I wasn’t grossly overcharged. For Midwest not to send someone who CAN tell me where the filter goes because the plumber CANNOT is like adding insult to injury.Yes, I was expecting the plumber to be back to install the spout early this week, but when I talked to him yesterday, he said he didn’t even remember who I was, nor agreeing to order the spout. Now, it won’t be until next week, when it was supposed to just be 2 days. Needless to say, this has been a disaster and huge expense for something minor. They also gave me a quote of over $2,000 to replace a 40 gallon water heater.I have the quotes and receipts, so I’m not making this up. Then they have the nerve to come on here and tell me to Have A Nice Day.

In the midst of the recent pandemic, and on a Sunday night, my furnace stopped. Monday morning, I called Midwest Heating and Cooling. They arranged for a service call between 9:00 and noon the same morning. The technician called when on his way, arrived exactly on time and effectively fixed my problem. This quality of service and professionalism is consistent with other times when I have called Midwest. The fact that it happened when their workforce was challenged by the pandemic made it all the more appreciated.

Had them come out as our furnace kept cycling on and off, they cleaned it, said it was fixed but issue persisted. They came back and saw a flame was fluttering so jumped to conclusions and said we had a cracked heat exchanger, need it replaced and would likely just need whole unit replaced. They said it was dangerous to operate, but didnt go as far as shutting down and labeling it as unsafe.Called another company who brought out actual tools to diagnose the heat exchanger, and they discovered it was perfectly fine. The outside vent was placed on the house wrong (something Midwest inspected, but didnt realize)From what the new company told us, this is a common scam when business is low (cracked heat exchanger). Not sure if that is the case here with Midwest or a lack of education / professionalism. Weve used Midwest in the past but given this experience we will use the company who tackled the job the right way moving forward.

I called the only phone number listed and was asked what I needed. I clearly stated, I have water pooling in my basement because the floor drain in the basement, which catches the air conditioner condensation, needs to be cleaned out. The girl on the phone said no problem, we will send someone out this Friday. Great. Well come Friday (service day) the wrong person was sent out. It was a guy who fixes air-conditioners. I asked him to read me back the dispatch he received about what my issue was. It said that the floor drain needed to be cleaned. Clearly the wrong person, mistakes happen. OK, no problem - I paid the $99 service fee and asked that they send me the CORRECT PERSON (a plumber) but that I didnt think I should pay another $99 dollar service fee since I was pretty clear about what my service request was. The company refused this request and stated that not only would it take 2 weeks to get a plumber, but that I would also need to pay the service fee again for something that was clearly not my fault. The girl on the phone handling my complaint said well we have three divisions. I said well thats fine, why didnt you get me to the correct one or dispatch the right person after you heard what my service request was for? You only have 1 phone number listed that I saw....She had no answers except that she would put me through to a customer service voice mail - thanks but no thanks. Total waste of my time and terrible customer service. Never using them again. Too many options out there to deal with this BS.

The workers showed up at 830 and were done by 230. Cleaned up after themselves and did an incredible job. When Mike came to do our estimate for the job he was very nice and explained everything in a way that I could understand and I knew right away this was the company we wanted to use.
