I was fortunate in being referred to Kevin Treece (Kevin Treece Custom Residential Design, Inc) when I was contemplating building a home in Whitefish, MT. He came highly recommended by many people whose home designs had been created by Kevin.At our first meeting Kevin asked the appropriate questions to obtain a sense of what I wanted. Through his training and experience Kevin created a workable concept of my initial thoughts. He provided insightful information about what would and what would not work. He discussed materials and design standards. Kevin explained the pros and cons of different materials along with general comparable pricing of each. He queried me about design features and suggested colors. He walked the property with me and made suggestions regarding the lot slope, the most appropriate positioning of the proposed house and the lot coverage. From this and subsequent meetings he created elevations and floor plans that embodied functional and aesthetic goals for my new home.I was thrilled with the final design concept. Kevin produced technical drawings for the builder and craftsmen including plumbing and electrical plans to meet the required standards and building codes. Further, Kevin’s familiarity with the covenants of my area’s Homeowner’s Association was helpful in meeting the requirement of the HOA Architectural Review Committee.Through out the process from first discussion to building completion, Kevin explained the plans, details, sections, and layouts and answered all of my questions. He was present through each step of the building process.My experience working with Kevin Treece has been wonderful.
